I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.
Look like Neil Young himself, will be posting to people personally after all. Cool! Maybe I’ll participate in his TwitterLegends Q&A sessions. I just need to think of a really good question that doesn’t get repeatedly asked, for a hopeful answer. If you want an answer from a famous person, the trick is asking them things that doesn’t get repeatedly asked by people. They hate that stuff. Write a question that will spark their interest. Should I ask him what his “influences” are or what his favorite “guitar” is? No. I’m sure he gets asked those hundred times a day. Gotta think up a unique question that will get his attention.
I’ve gotten responses from other celebrities when they did online Q&A’s before, and this trick works.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! This is pretty friggin’ sweet! Oh my! If I was in London to see this, I would go nuts. I’m a Bowie fanatic. The Bowie official facebook page just gave us a preview of what the Bowie Exhibition at the V&A Museum would look like. See it, here. Amazing! Wish I could go!
For you twitter users out there, Neil Young, finally launched an official twitter account. It’s not verified but I’m sure it will be soon. Guess Neil is still getting the hang of today’s technology ’cause remember, back in his younger years, there was none of this technology around.
Neil hasn’t made a tweet yet, so what will it be? Hope Neil himself will be personally posting on there, replying to people and writing himself. Although it’s probably going to be someone else posting on there, promoting his projects and news stuff. I’ll have to wait and see.
In honor of John Bonham, I thought I would post this badass performance from the “Song Remains the Same” movie. Bonzo’s drum solo to “Moby Dick”. Enjoy.
Mark Zuckerberg, must be a little pissed off now. He should be scared, ’cause Myspace just announced they’re making a huge comeback. Rebuilding myspace with a new site, starting from scratch. Ever since Tom Anderson left Myspace, the social networking site that was once a hot site, went down the shitter. Myspace has been shit for the last several years now. Not only that, it’s just that the previous myspace look, had way too many virus attacks, and the site was full of spam. Adding friends at random was never cool either. I haven’t used myspace in years for that reason. Obviously, most everyone wasn’t happy with myspace, so they all left and now Facebook is a hot social networking site. The new myspace design which should be launched this Fall, is obviously competing with facebook, hoping to get all their old users back.
I saw the new design of myspace and still not crazy about it. I’m sure they’ll clean the site with no virus attacks and spam, sure, but I don’t think I’ll go back to myspace, not sure. I think I’ll stick with facebook. Who knows, when the new myspace design is launched, and if I like it enough, maybe I will get back to using it, but if everyone decides to leave facebook for the new myspace, I guess there’s no choice but to move back there myself.
Edit to add: The reason for new re-design is ’cause the site is no longer owned by News Corp. It was News Corp that made the site shit, myspace has new owners now.
It was only a matter of time that Hollywood is going to start stealing ideas from Stallone’s, “The Expendables”, movies. Private Defense Contractors, a film company, is planning to set up an all female version of “The Expendables”, and the gorgeous MMA fighter turned actress, Gina Carano, is on board to star in the film. The film plans on hiring several more iconic actresses in action movies, to fit the similar idea of “The Expendables”.
Sounds like a nice idea! Who else do I think should be added to the cast? I would say: Kate Beckinsale, Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodrigues, Carrie Ann Moss, Charlize Theron, and Michelle Yeoh, maybe?
On top of this, Gina Carano, herself should have been casted for the “The Expendables” film itself.
Pretty cool photo of Hugh Jackman as, “The Wolverine”, see it, here. Many would accuse that photo of being photoshopped and airbrush, of course, it was, but I’m sure Hugh Jackman is jacked in real life, though. They just make him look ripped like that for the movies. Hope this film will be better than the crap, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”.
I hate award shows but I had to share this cool pic of Emilia Clarke who plays Princess Daenerys, at the Emmy Awards show last night. This is what Daenerys looks like in real life when she’s not filming, “Game of Thrones”. She’s still gorgeous in real life, and she is someone I would date. Enjoy the photo, here.
Sly Stallone have owned the rights, to the James Byron Huggins novel, “Hunter”, for many years, but has never done anything with the film yet. He came close to making “Hunter” into Rambo 5, but changed his mind about the Rambo story, and now he’s going to make “Hunter” adapted from the novel instead. It looks like Sly will write, direct and star. He’s writing the script now and Lionsgate is looking to green light it. It’s a story about a man named, Nathaniel Hunter (Sly will play this character, I bet), who is out to hunt down a beast in the Arctic Circle.
This makes me want to read the book before the movie. I’ll download it from Ibooks sometime. Sounds like it’s going to be an action and sci fi adventure. Glad he’s finally getting this in the works.
There are some people who would only like Springsteen’s earlier music, but they don’t care for his newer music ’cause he’s gone too political. Not with me. I never stopped liking The Boss of rock n’ roll. I still appreciate Springsteen to this day. His latest album “Wrecking Ball” is really good stuff and probably the best new album he did so far. I’m a fan of all of Springsteen’s music, but I just wanted to name 5 of my favorite songs. 5 of his songs that I think were amazingly written.
So in celebration of Springsteen’s 63rd birthday today, here is my top 5 favorite Springsteen songs in no particular order:
“Pink Cadillac”
Whenever I get myself a band, I’m planning on covering this one. This is one of Bruce’s unreleased songs during the “Born in the USA” recording sessions, this song didn’t make that album. It’s a pretty tight song and just fun. I’ve always loved this one.
“Jack of All Trades”
The best song off of “Wrecking Ball” his new disc. Incredible song, blows my mind every time I hear it.
“Reno”
I covered this one a few times at my gigs from the past. It’s a nice acoustic song, and the lyrics just grabs me. I just had to cover this one for myself. Maybe I’ll re-learn this song and record myself on video singing it. Haven’t played this one in a long time.
“Adam Raised a Cain”
While “Darkness on the Edge of Town” is an excellent record, this is the best song. I could probably cover this one too. Sick song.
“Outlaw Pete”
This song gets me every time. It’s just fuckin’ perfect. Everything about this song is beautifully written. I’m dyin’ to cover this song but it might be hard for me to sing, I’ll give it a try though. This song has Bruce’s best singing too, a lot of passion here.
There are too many great Springsteen songs, but those 5, I’ll never get bored of listening to ever.
Kev
Edit to add: Oh yeah, I was gonna add, “The Wrestler“, the song for the soundtrack of that movie, but forgot, that’s a beautifully written song too. Another one I’d like to cover.
