RIP: Barbara Orbison 1950 – 2011

Barbara Orbison, the widow & wife, of rock music legend, Roy Orbison, has passed away due to pancreatic cancer on the 23rd Anniversary date of her late husband. While Barbara was never a musician herself, she was a pretty big part of the music business, as she was the one who managed Roy’s career and she helped co-produced a lot of Roy’s staged musicals. While this is sad and heartbreaking, I’m sure this is what Roy would have wanted was to have her pass away on the same Anniversary date of, Dec. 6th. Roy and Barbara are survived by their two sons, Roy Jr. and Alexander. I’m sure their kids would become aspiring musicians like their father.

Lindsay Lohan Playboy cover leaked…

There it is, folks, Lindsay’s Playboy cover, being released soon. I’ll probably buy it, just out of curiosity. I’m sure plenty of other people will buy it out of curiosity as well. Even if she’s the most hated woman in America, people won’t admit that they all want to see her naked. That issue will indeed be the biggest selling magazine of all time. I’m sure her pictorial in that mag will get leaked online sooner or later.

Report: Alec Baldwin is the latest celebrity to be kicked off a plane…

From director Kevin Smith to Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, and next here comes “30 Rock” star, Alec Baldwin, is the latest celeb to be kicked off a plane. What for? Well he got too addicted to playing a game for “Words for Friends”, which is a multi-player word game for Android, Ipad, or whatever gadget you can get for the app for.

Before take-off on a flight, it is against the rules to leave electronic devices on. I flew on a plane a few times in when I went to Florida and California, so I know what it is like.

The rules on flights are enforced on everyone, they don’t care how famous you are. These celebrities needs to respect the rules of airlines. Just because they are rich & famous, doesn’t mean the world revolves around them.

Imagine what it would be like sitting on the same plane with Alec Baldwin though. If I had to sit next to him, I would see if I could move to a different chair. I’d be scared to sit next to that guy. In real life, the guy is an asshole, he has a temper tantrum, everyone knows that.

15 Things That White Guys Love to Do On Facebook…

There is this blogger in wordpress that came up with this interesting post in which she titled it, “15 Things That Girls Love to Do On Facebook“. That post is becoming a bit of an internet sensation as it’s becoming pretty popular. Well, I think I’m going to challenge that blogger and try to compete with her a bit, by listing 15 things that white guys like to do in facebook.

Here’s what I can come up with:

  1. They love to talk about politics – This is the most  popular thing that goes on with guys in facebook. There are political discussions all over. I try not to get into politics discussion as much as I used to, I think I’m finally starting to get bored of it.
  2. They love to talk about the sports they’re watching on TV – Whether it’s NFL football, baseball or UFC, they would put up status’s announcing what they’re watching and rooting who they’re going to win. They also like to make fun of sport athletes who sucks and all that stuff.
  3. They take shirtless pics of themselves and throw it on facebook – I’m kind of guilty on this one, I’ll admit it. I need feedback on my progress photos, that’s why I do it.
  4. They put up status’s full of profanity, ranting about how they’re having a bad day – I see this everyday.
  5. They love to give women positive feedback on their sexy photos – When women post up photos showing their cleavages or if they’re in a bikini, the guys would be all over it. Nothing wrong with that, ’cause I do it too.
  6. They love to express their love publicly to their significant others – To the guys that have wives or girlfriends, I see this everyday. Men putting up romantic status’s aimed at their partners. Seeing all that is making me wish, I have a girlfriend.
  7. They post up drunk status’s during or after a party, or even worse, they post up photos of them holding up a beer – You see this on a regular basis as well. Just wait until the New Year’s Eve comes.
  8. They love to post Youtube videos of their favorite songs – Guys like music. Rock & metal is the most popular genre being posted by them though. Sometimes I’ll see them post rap and other genres.
  9. They love to joke around with their friends – A lot of them like to make fun of each other just for laughs, it gets the women going.
  10. When women get a divorce or go single after a relationship, the guys will start hitting on her – You see this all the time in facebook as well. I believe when guys try to become friends with a woman who is already in a relationship or married, that means they have a secret crush on her, so they wait for her to go single. Usually when the women go single after a relationship, it’ll get the guys talking.
  11. They love to bash famous musicians & celebrities they hate – Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Nickelback, Justin Bieber, Jersey Shore cast, etc. You get the deal here.
  12. They love to talk about going to the gym – Before they hit the gym, they put up stuff, like “Going to the gym”. They know they have no reason to post that stuff up there, they do it ’cause they love the attention around people being proud of them. I’m guilty of this myself.
  13. They love to talk about everything they do in their lives – Whatever they’re doing throughout the day, they’ll post everything they’re doing. Whether they’re going shopping, partying or just for a ride, they’ll put it up there.
  14. They rant about how terrible women are in relationships or complain they don’t have a girlfriend yet – You see this with single guys pretty often.
  15. They complain how they have insomnia and can’t sleep – What’s with all the “can’t sleep” posts lately? I sleep every night, so I certainly don’t have insomnia, lol.

I hope I covered everything, feel free to add to the list if you come up with anything.

Introducing the new Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame Inductees for 2012!!!

Well, the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame 2012 inductees have been announced today. Here they are.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers – A well deserved induction, I’m sure the guitarists Hilel Slovak and John Frusciante will get inducted with them, but will Dave Navarro get inducted with them too? Dave Navarro was guitarist for the Chili Peppers for one album, so I’m sure Dave will be part of it. I’ve been a fan of the Chili Peppers for years and even seen them live in concert once. Love the Chili Peppers.

Guns N’ Roses – This one is not such a big surprise at all, I think we all knew that they were going to make it, no matter what happened. Guns N’ Roses had way too many different members over the years. I’m sure they’ll all get inducted with Axl. Most importantly the original members: Slash, Duff, Izzy, etc. Now let the original members reunion speculation begin!

Beastie Boys – I know this choice is going to get a lot of hate and negative feedback. People will accuse them of not being “rock”, and I’m sure some of you will think, “What were they thinking?” Of course, the Beastie Boys are fuckin’ rock, man. If you don’t think, “Fight For Your Right” or “Sabotage” are rock songs then you need your ears checked. The Beastie Boys had a legendary career, they accomplished so much,  love ’em or hate ’em. They were the ones that got this heavy rap rock thing going. So I think this induction is well deserved!

Donovan – He’s a Scottish singer/songwriter famous for his anthem, “Sunshine Superman”, which is a song that I love. I don’t listen to too much Donovan but I respected the legacy and his career. He should have been inducted into the Hall of Fame years ago, it’s about time, he’s in!

Laura NyroShe was a singer/songwriter and pianist from New York City, she died in ’97 of cancer. I don’t know much about her but I heard her songs before. “Stone Cold Picnic” is a pretty cool tune.

The FacesThis was Rod Stewart’s rock n’ roll band before his solo tour. It also had Ronnie Wood in this band. I never liked Rod Stewart too much but he did kick ass in this band though. I loved him in the Faces. Maybe there will be a reunion with this band at the Hall of Fame as well.

The Small Faces – I don’t know much about them but I do know that the Faces were formed because of them.

Freddie King – He is an American electric blues guitarist, famous for his instrumental anthem, “Hideaway”, which is also a track that I love. He was a pioneer of putting blues & rock together.

Congratulations to the new Hall of Famers!

Cyberbullying really has become a huge problem online lately…

There’s a lot of people starting campaigns on trying to fight, “Cyberbullying”. I know it’s mostly aimed at cyberbullies who make fun of gay people, which lead them to commit suicide. I think cyberbullying of any kind shouldn’t be allowed on the internet at all. Cyberbullying happens with people of all types, not just gays.

I don’t like people being a negative nancy around me. If you’ve noticed, on my blog and facebook, I try my best to be as positive as possible lately. I try to keep everything positive and family/friendly, I try not to be controversial. I’m strict on posting comments in both blog and facebook, because it’s my way of fighting bullying.

Why do people act like an asshole to others online? Usually when people are being nothing but a negative person online, it’s how they usually are in person, in the real world. It’s mostly young teenagers or people in their 20’s writing nasty shit to ya. If you’re getting adults around their 30’s – 50’s writing nasty stuff to ya, they are most likely to be drunks or stupid party animals with nothing better to do in their time.

I know friendly and kind people who actually care when I see them, and I do have people that actually care around me. I don’t fight cyberbullying just for myself, it’s to help others too.

Really though, I can’t blame other websites and message forums for trying to keep them a friendly place. Cyberbullying is on the rise, that’s why. There’s really nothing you can do to stop it. People think they can write nasty shit about ya all they want to ’cause they hide behind freedom of speech and most of them do it anonymously anyway. When you call them out, they think they can get away with it.

I agree that cyberbullying needs to come to an end. I want to be around happy and friendly people. That’s how I run my facebook. Life is short to be around too much negativity, I don’t have the time for it anymore. I’ll admit though, that some of the things I post up sometimes, I deserve the negative backlashes, but hey we’re not perfect, people make mistakes.

I see people in facebook posting up really negative status’s everyday. Look at my facebook page, it’s mostly nothing but positive postings. I don’t want to be remembered as a negative person. Facebook maybe a great way to rant about how you’re depressed or having a bad day but in reality it isn’t, a good idea.

Get the hint, cyberbullying isn’t welcome in my world. I don’t care who you are.
