Report: Guitar World snubs Michael J. Fox for “Johnny B. Goode” in their “Top 10 Big Screen Moments” list…

I usually like Guitar World magazine, but I’m dissapointed in their “Top 10 Big Screen Moments” list, where they list the top guitar moments of all time in film. I agree with everything in this list, but I can’t believe they snubbed Michael J. Fox, left him off the list. Marty McFly playing “Johnny B. Good” in “Back to the Future” is the greatest guitar film moment of all time.

Check out the list here:

http://www.guitarworld.com/article/top_10_big_screen_guitar_moments

Are the editors of Guitar World living under a rock? Have they even seen, “Back to the Future”? Marty McFly playing “Johnny B. Goode” is such a badass scene. It’s such a shame that scene was left out of the list. If you’re going to do a top “Best Guitar moments in films” list and not include this in, you’re not the true music lover that you say you are.

Thought: People need to stop telling Gabby Sidibe to lose weight, I think she’s attractive the way she is…

Some may wonder what my thoughts are on people telling “Precious” star, Gabby Sidibe, to lose weight. I’ll give a quick and simple answer to that, I think it’s disrespectful to obesed people. They can’t help for what they are. They are human beings like us and they should be treated like human beings. I think it’s immature to call people fat. You are like a little bully in kindergarten picking on fat kids. Thanks to Howard Stern who started this nasty trend on Gabby.

I think Gabby looks beautiful the way she is, and yes, I could date a woman like her for sure. Like they all say, “Big women need the loving too, right?” BBW doesn’t hurt, eh? Don’t you like some meat on her bones?

If John Candy can become a huge star, then why can’t Gabby? I think Gabby will become a successful movie star, no matter her size. I haven’t seen “Precious” yet but I plan on watching it through my DVR Movies On Demand thing.

In my opinion, if Gabby loses the weight, then people would forget her. Her being huge is what made her famous.

Report: “Welcome to the Rileys” get bought by Sony Worldwide Acquisitions Group…

An indie film, titled, “Welcome to the Rileys” which stars James Gandolfini and Kristen Stewart may soon be heading to theaters. This film was shown publicly once at “Sundance Festival”, so expect a worldwide release of this film. A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but they are hoping to release this film sometime in the Fall. I kind of predicted that this film will get a major deal soon since Kristen Stewart is “Twilight” famed.

More on it here:

http://www.deadline.com/print-post/?posttoprint=28221&KeepThis=true&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=750

There are rumours that Kristen has nude scenes in it. If it’s true, that she shows off her boobs it’ll probably be on screen for like a few seconds. Not sure if she has too many nude scenes or none at all.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to the film ’cause James Gandolfini just fuckin’ rules. I loved him in the Sopranos show, ’cause that was one of my favorite TV shows. Used to watch “The Sopranos” all the time.

Report: Tarantino wants to go romantic…

Look like Quentin Tarantino is finally tired of doing action comedy “Pulp Fiction” like movies and wants to try something different for a change. Tarantino revealed he wants to try writing and directing, a romantic comedy. He plans to work on that next now that he’s done with, “Inglourious Basterds”.

Glad Tarantino is making a full time comeback to Hollywood. Before “Inglourious Basterds”, he took a hiatus from Hollywood to concentrate writing the script for that film. Now that he’s finally back, expect a lot more Quentin Tarantino movies up ahead.

Since he’s doing a romantic comedy, expect a lot of foot fetish scenes. Also, expect a role for Uma Thurman too. Maybe John Travolta will get in on this film ’cause Travolta has a lot of comedy film experience. John Travolta and Uma Thurman to team up again? Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what Tarantino is going for. Tarantino is a pretty sexual guy when it comes to writing his scripts. Maybe he’ll have female nudity this time around. Definitely a lot of swearing and cussing like every Tarantino film has.

I think he’s going for a fanbase for the ladies. A Tarantino chick flick this time? Sounds like he needs John Travolta for this one. If John Travolta agrees to return to acting again, I’d like to see him reteam wtih Tarantino.

Cool Video: “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” trailer hits the web…

The Twilight Saga “Eclipse”, the third of the series, teaser trailer has hit the web this morning. They seem to keep getting better as they go along. “Eclipse” looks like a good one to me and looking forward to it. Look like Victoria, the red headed vampire girl, is the main villain in this flick while Edward and Jacob feud against each other over Bella. I will be seeing this.

Happy 70th Chuck Norris!!!

So former action movie star and former TV star, Chuck Norris, just turned 70. I didn’t even realize he was that old. Does anybody out there have a recent pic of him? I can never find one online.  I’ve never seen a recent pic, I don’t think anybody has. He’s probably this good of avoiding the media taking pics of him if he’s scared of showing the world what he looks like at 70. He probaby has white hair now.

I grew up watching Chuck’s action movies. Some of my favorites: The Missing in Action trilogy, Firewalker, Forced Vengeance, Sidekicks, The Octagon, and sometimes I would watch his show, “Walker, Texas Ranger”.

Chuck seemed to have vanished from Hollywood and TV pretty quitely. Wonder what’s up? Did he retire for good? He even stopped doing those “Total Gym” fitness commercials as well. I don’t see him making a comeback to acting anytime soon. Like him or not, he is a very talented man, a good actor and a great athlete. I know he’s an easy target and people make fun of him, but you can not deny his greatness of what he does.

If Chuck got into a real fight with Jean Claude Van Damme or Sylvester Stallone, Chuck would probably beat both of their asses easily.

Report: Christopher Nolan finally speaks on the new “Superman” project!!!

Christopher Nolan has been pretty quiet ever since jumping aboard to mentor the new “Superman” movie for Warner Bros. Now Chris Nolan finally speaks out about the project to the L.A. Times. The story and plot to the next “Superman” movie is NOT being revealed and being kept under wraps for now, but Nolan and the writer, David Goyer, already have a great story planned out. David Goyer have been confirmed the writer for the next, “Superman” movie, but they shoot down rumours of Lex Luthor and Brainiac as the next villains. Who will be the next villain for Superman? Nobody knows yet. Lex Luthor will probably be involved in some way as he always is, but there will probably be more villains.

Nolan says, the next film will NOT be like Bryan Singer’s “Superman: Returns”, it’ll be their own take on it. Nolan says he knows the Superman character very well and knows the genre very well. Something tells me he’s been reading Superman and Batman comics for years ever since he was a child. Nolan the comic book expert he is, indeed. No wonder Warner Bros. wanted him to help!

Nolan says they will make the next Superman movie right and promises Hollywood they won’t be disappointed with this one.

Read the entire article here:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/herocomplex/2010/03/christopher-nolan-takes-flight-with-superman-we-have-a-fantastic-story-1.html

Very cool. I’m so excited for the next Superman movie. For a villain they should really use a villain that hasn’t been used before in the earlier films. Brainiac is a good idea.

Other popular Superman comic book villains that hasn’t been used yet for a film: Doomsday, The Toyman, Parasite, Imperiex, Eradicator, Bloodsport, and Atomic Skull.

It will be interesting to see what villains Nolan and Goyer will pick. Lets hope it won’t be Luthor or General Zod.

Report: Phish to go 3D in April…they will hit the big screen in theaters, not the concert stage…

With all these 3D movies coming out in theaters, now the music world is jumping the 3D movie bandwagon! Phish will be releasing their 3 day Halloween festival they played at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The movie, “Phish 3D” will be released in theaters. Not sure if it’s going to be played everywhere or in selected theaters, but if it’s shown in Albany, I’ll see it. The Phish 3D movie will be released sometime in April.

Oh man, seeing a Phish Halloween concert in 3D would be very trippy! Looking forward to it!

Correction: Roger Ross Williams and Elinor Burkett is no Kanye West moment…

I had a post before that I thought the Roger Ross Williams and Elinor Burkett incident was a Kanye West type of thing but after watching the video again, it’s clearly not. The award for “Music By Prudence” WAS meant to be for the both of them. Listen to the announcer, she even said Elinor’s name as the winner. One of the presenters had a second award which was meant to be given to Elinor which she didn’t take it yet. So before assuming that this is a Kanye West moment, pay attention like I didn’t. She may have interupted his speech but watching the video again it looks like he was cool with it and not angry. She wanted to bring up a woman who was influential for the band that was part of the movie. She didn’t pull a Kanye West thing at all, people.

Watch the video again. Elinor was allowed to be up there ’cause she was a winner too along with Roger.

Why no Farrah in “In Memoriam” at the Oscars?

Other than Sandra Bullock winning for Best Actress being a dissapointment, here’s another one. Farrah was left off the “In Memoriam” tribute. Most would know Farrah as a TV star but she has starred in Hollywood films such as “Logan’s Run”, “Cannonball Run”, “Dr. T and the Women” and more.

It was good that Brittany Murphy was mentioned though. I didn’t think Brittany would get mentioned.
