Thought: Will John Travolta show at the Golden Globes tomorrow night?

John Travolta is scheduled to appear at the Golden Globes tomorrow night, but will he show? He is scheduled to present an award for “Best Original Song” and he is nominated for an award with Miley Cyrus for the animated kiddie film “Bolt” (which he and Miley will probably win).

I think John will show tomorrow. While John is a human being and has emotions like every human being, he is a very strong man, so I think he will continue to work on his career. He’ll be there tomorrow.

I’m sure John will have a tough time speaking through the mic on stage but I think he’ll be fine. I’ll be watching the Golden Globes tomorrow night. Just for something to watch on TV.

Report: Danny Elfman to score music for “Terminator: Salvation”…

McG just signed iconic music composer, Danny Elfman, to score for “Terminator Salvation:  The Future Begins”. Those who don’t know who Danny Elfman is, he has scored for many of Tim Burton’s flicks such as “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure”, “Edward Scissorhands”, “Batman” (w/Michael Keaton), “Batman: Returns”, etc.

Elfman says the music for “Terminator Salvation” will be different than the first three flicks. That means we won’t be hearing that classic loud drumming sound we usually hear through them, but Elfman says he will leave a door open for an apperance on that classic drumming .

From MTV News:

Very cool. Eflman’s one of my favorite movie composers and he’ll do a good job at this. He won’t dissapoint. I always thought his best musical score was the work he did with “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure”, while that’s not everyone’s favorite movie, the music is really good in it though and that’s what makes me a big fan of that film, seriously. The music of “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” really draws people into it whether you like this Pee Wee character or not. That’s how amazing of a score composer Danny really is. The guy is a legend.

Report: “Watchmen” drama fuels up some more…

*yawn* Here’s the latest drama on this whole Warner Bros. vs. Fox feud over a superhero movie “Watchmen”. As you probably read in the news already, this battle has been moved to Federal Court.

Warner Bros. producer wrote an open letter to the public at FOX, begging them to drop the lawsuit and let them release the film as planned. Of course, typical FOX immediately responded, still vowing to fight and still aiming to destroy Warner’s movie.

More on it here:

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-watchmen9-2009jan09,0,3614801.story

Warner’s wanted the Federal court to make an early decision on the project, so instead, both FOX and Warners make a settlement to delay a court hearing until Monday. FOX is still wanting Warner’s “Watchmen” to be destroyed no matter what happens and no matter what anybody says.

Like I said before, if FOX is successful and destroys Warner’s movie, I will act like Twentieth Century Fox don’t even exist to me. As I said in a blog post before: 1) Selling every DVD distributed by FOX in my collection 2) Will no longer see a FOX movie in theater even if it looks good to me 3) Will no longer report anything Twentieth Century Fox related in the blog, it all still stands to me.

FOX know they have no reason to destroy the “Watchmen” project even if they do own the distrubition rights. It’s clearly an ego thing. It’s all ego, money, and power.

Report: Christopher Nolan preparing to work on Batman 3???

Christopher Nolan is planning a Batman 3 and in the talks of planning a good story for it.

Check it out at MTV News:

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/01/08/nolan-goyer-are-brainstorming-sequel-ideas-says-dark-knight-producer/

Great news. I’m sure sometime this year, we’ll soon get a press release if Chris is going to do a third one or not.

As for the villains…they should be the Joker, Catwoman and the Penguin. They shouldn’t bring in the Riddler just yet, not this soon.

While no one would want the Heath Ledger Joker to be replaced and he can’t be topped, yes, there is someone that can top the Heath Ledger Joker easily. Mark Hamill anyone? Mark Hamill, the Star Wars guy has been portraying the Joker in animated films for many years and he does an amazing job at it. If Hamill is willing to play a live action version of the Joker, that would be fuckin’ sweet too. I think Hamill will do a great job playing the live action Joker.

Confirmed: Taylor Lautner reprising role for Jacob Black in “New Moon”!!!!!!

Director Chris Weitz who is helming “New Moon”, the Twilight sequel, announced Taylor Launter will be reprising his role as Jacob Black. At first, Summit Entertainment were trying to decide whether or not they should have Taylor return as Jacob Black, but it was said that Stephenie Meyer first brought up the decision. She talked Chris Weitz into signing Taylor.

From Stephenie Meyer’s official website:

http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/

Great news!! I thought Taylor made a perfect Jacob Black and don’t see that character being replaced. Taylor should play Jacob in all 4 Twilight movies. Kudos for Stephenie for saving Taylor’s job!! That shows how cool she really is!

Thought: Why Patrick Swayze is important to the movie industry and why things won’t be the same without him…

If Patrick Swayze dies this year or next, then Hollywood is officially done. Swayze is important to the movie industry. Like him or hate him. He has starred in some very important films that changed Hollywood film forever. With essential films like “The Oustsiders”, “Dirty Dancing”, “Ghost”, “Point Break”, “Road House”, “Donnie Darko”, and some other films. An important actor that inspired and influenced all. He touched many hearts with his films and played important roles.

Sure, we’re all going to die one day, but you would want a good time and a good way to go out. Dying of pancreatic cancer this early is not a good way to go out. Especially when Patrick is an important figure in the entertainment industry, that’s why he is made a big deal in the news.

Hollywood almost died when Heath Ledger left us, and if Patrick is next, then I don’t know where Hollywood would be. Seriously think about it. Patrick needs to stay alive. We all need to be positive about him and wish him well. He is an important guy that don’t need to leave us this soon. He has a lot to live for, not just for his life and his family, but the entertainment industry needs him as well. He’s the man responsible that brought hollywood movies to what it is today. Hollywood won’t be the same without him, really, trust me on this.

Report: Captain Kirks and Darth Vaders to provide voice overs for 3D animated, “Quantum Quest”…

The NASA space program has announced, they are working on a 3D animated movie titled, “Quantum Quest”. NASA has recently signed the two Captain Kirk actors William Shatner and Chris Pine, also the two Darth Vader actors Hayden Christensen and James Earl Jones to provide the leading voice overs for “Quantum Quest”.

Also in the cast are: Samuel L. Jackson, Amanda Peet, Jason Alexander (“Seinfeld” actor), Sandra Oh, Mark Hamill, Spencer Breslin, and the real life astronaut, the first human being to step on the moon ever, Neil Armstrong, will also provide voice overs for this animated film.

While Shatner missed out the opportunity to star in JJ Abrams “Star Trek”, at least he’ll get the opportunity to star in a film with Chris Pine is better than nothing.

Rourke will play an unscrupulous arms dealer who becomes the go-to guy for a group of mercenaries planning to topple a South American dictator. The cast so far: Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Forrest Whitaker, Mickey Rourke, and Ben Kingsley. WOW!!! A powerful cast! 7 iconic actors all playing in the same movie with Sly!!! Sly must of seen “The Wrestler”, loved it so much that he thought Mickey Rourke would be a perfect addition to the cast.

I feel that Sly isn’t done signing big names yet, as I feel he will sign a few more big names. “The Expendables” will be a fuckin’ sweet ass movie!!! BRING IT ON SLY!!!!
