Greg Allman wants his biopic film, “Midnight Rider” to not go forward…

Everybody knows about the Greg Allman biopic that was supposedly to be in the works titled, “Midnight Rider” but Sarah Jones who was one of the film crew (pictured above) was killed by getting hit by a train while filming. She was just young, 27. William Hurt who was supposed to play Greg in the film pulled out ’cause he did it out of respect for Sarah. Now Greg Allman himself wrote a small letter to the director of the movie urging him NOT to go forward with the movie. Greg didn’t explain why he wanted him to stop making the movie but he’s probably doing it out of respect for Sarah.

Maybe it’s a good idea for the film to not go forward??? Out of respect for Sarah’s family and friends. Shame what happened and it’s tragic for sure. RIP to Sarah.

Happy birthday, Jack Nicholson!!!

Today is Jack Nicholson’s 77th birthday.

While “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” is one of the best roles he has ever played (in my opinion), he has starred in other great roles. “Cuckoo’s Nest” is one of my favorite films of all time. That film is in my top 10 really. I can watch that film over and over — never get tired of it.

Some of my other favorite roles Jack has been in are “Chinatown”, “Easy Rider”, “The Two Jakes”, “The Witches of Eastwick”, “Wolf”, “Hoffa”, “The Pledge”, “The Departed” and of course, the first “Batman” movie where he played the Joker. I liked his role in “Anger Management” too.

Jack obviously slowed down in acting. He doesn’t star in movies much anymore. Why did he slowed down? It’s not that he’s retired. I’m sure he’ll be acting in films ’til he’s dead… he doesn’t play in movies much anymore ’cause he doesn’t have to. The man is loaded so he doesn’t need to work if he doesn’t want to.

He is one of my favorite actors, though. He has been a part of everyone’s lives, including mine so thanks Jack. Everyone have seen his movies in the theater, on DVD and on the TV. One thing he is good at is picking films that we can watch over and over again. I don’t think any other actor in Hollywood have done that??? He sure knows how to pick the good stuff, that’s for sure. I love how he is careful at choosing his films.

Happy birthday, Jack. I’m sure he’s celebrating it good with his family in Hollywood.

Spielberg and Hanks to re-team for fourth film together…

Look like Spielberg finally found his next directorial project since his 2012 film, “Lincoln”. Spielberg will re-team with Tom Hanks for the fourth time. This will be a thriller set during the Cold War and will be based on the true story of James Donovan. The other three films Spielberg/Hanks worked together for was obviously: “Saving Private Ryan”, “Catch Me If You Can” and “The Terminal”.

Look like Spielberg is staying away from films for children and family. Except that his upcoming planned sci-fi film, “Robopocalypse” maybe aimed at children?

I say no to Leo Dicaprio starring and Danny Boyle directing, “Steve Jobs” biopic…

Since David Fincher and Christian Bale bailed out of the “Steve Jobs” biopic… Sony is already in search of a replacement for both of them. Sony is in early talks with “Slumdog Millionaire”  and “127 Hours” director Danny Boyle to helm the “Jobs” movie and Sony is eye’ing Leo Dicaprio to star as Jobs for the film.

http://variety.com/2014/film/news/sony-eyes-danny-boyle-to-direct-jobs-1201160356/

It seems that Sony is desperate for an Oscar award winning film here. If these two sign on Danny and Leo, I’ll no longer be interested.

Why not get Ashton Kutcher for Steve Jobs again? I just saw Kutcher’s version of the “Jobs” movie and it turned out surprisingly good. Kutcher’s version of “Jobs” was surprisingly “accurate” on Jobs life and career. Also, Kutcher nailed the Jobs role pretty well. Kutcher’s version of “Jobs” is available for Netflix streaming so you should check it out yourself. Kutcher is the only actor who is able to match Jobs pretty well. I’m sure Kutcher would be up for this if Sony would ask him. I used to never be a fan of Ashton Kutcher but he’s been winning over my respect lately.

As for my choice on who to direct the Aaron Sorkin scripted, “Jobs” movie… I’d say the guy who directed “American Hustle”, David O Russell.

Richard Donner confirms Spielberg wrote story for “Goonies II”…

It appears that Steven Spielberg is still involved with the “Goonies” ’cause he wants the sequel to happen just as much as the rest of us. Spielberg came up with the idea of the first movie and he’ll do the same with the sequel. As long as Spielberg is still involved… I’m all for it.

I don’t like the plot idea where the Goonies have kids now and they go on a new adventure. Here we go again with the passing the torch to younger kids. I would rather have the Goonies as full grown adults going on a new adventure together, that would make it more interesting. Having the full grown “Goonies” go on a new adventure with the Fratelli brothers getting their revenge on them is a good plot idea to me.

I can see the sequel having more booby traps similar to the last one except the booby traps will be a little different and more exciting.

Of course, with today’s technology in movie making, you can betcha this movie will be probably be filmed in 3-D and will probably have tons of CGI.

It looks like Richard Donner is committed to moving forward to this.

Star Wars Episode 7 to be taken place on Tatooine???

Seems like Star Wars Episode 7 has already started filming. The crew have already begun filming at some desert which looks to be the Tatooine set. Every Star Wars fan should know by now that Tatooine was the home planet of Luke Skywalker, where he was born and where he grew up on. So the leaked photos is a pretty clear hint we may see the return of Luke Skywalker. Luke returned to Tatooine after the events of “Return of the Jedi”? Look like the droids returned there too ’cause you can see a group of men trying to move a very large object which I think is part of C3Po’s escape pod. Then you see a photo of the AT Walker that we once saw in “Empire Strike Back”.

See the photos here:

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/133851-Star-Wars-Episode-VII-Leaked-Photos-from-Tatooine

Look like they’ll do justice with Star Wars after all, maybe. Look like this is gonna be a Star Wars movie that fans were hoping for and that geeks will be drooling over for sure.

When will we know the title of this movie, the plot and the casting? I’m hoping on Star Wars day, May the 4th… they will reveal all for “Star Wars 7”.

Please don’t fuck this up, JJ. Please!

Oh god, please no… “Mrs. Doubtfire” is coming back to the big screen…

Look like Robin Williams and director Chris Columbus will re-team to make the sequel to the 1993 hit comedy, “Mrs. Doubtfire”.

More on the story here:

http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/04/16/mrs-doubtfire-sequel/

I used to LOVE Robin Williams but I’m really starting to lose my appreciation for the guy. What happened to him? He used to be very good at choosing movies but now he’s terrible at it. He hasn’t made a great movie in over a decade or so: “Jumanji”, “Flubber”, “Hook”, “RV”, “Jack”, “Old Dogs”, etc. All those films are garbage. “Mrs. Doubtfire” was garbage too. I always hated that film.

In the past, he used to pick great films where he showed his really good acting chops with films like “Good Morning Vietnam”, “Dead Poets Society”, “Good Will Hunting”, “Awakenings”, “One Hour Photo”, “The Birdcage”, “Cadillac Man”, “The Fisher King”, “Insomnia”, etc. I even liked “Popeye” and “Toys”.

I don’t wanna see Robin dressed up as an old woman again. I think Robin is desperate for a hit movie since his latest TV show, “The Crazy Ones” failed in the ratings. Mara Wilson did a smart thing saying no to returning to this movie and lets hope Sally Field says no to this as well. I hope the “Mrs. Doubtfire” sequels bombs but it probably won’t.

David Fincher is OUT of “Steve Jobs” biopic film…

David Fincher is out of directing the “Steve Jobs” biopic film that is going to be scripted by Aaron Sorkin. Why is Fincher no longer directing, “Jobs”??? Well it’s because Fincher wanted a $10 million dollar paycheck and he wanted complete control over marketing so Sony is saying no to both of those. Seems like Sony just fired his ass.

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/David-Fincher-Exits-Sony-Steve-Jobs-Biopic-42559.html

That’s good, though! I want Fincher to get to work on, “The Girl Who Played With Fire” and he needs to concentrate on “House of Cards – Season 3”.

Speaking of Steve Jobs, I just got done reading his biography book that was written by Walter Isaacs and it was an excellent book. Will this biopic movie be based on that book? Made me respect Steve Jobs even more now after reading it. Steve may have been an asshole over the years but it was his way of doing whatever he could to make Apple big and all he wanted was to make the best products. In the past, I was going to avoid Apple products like the plague but when I finally decided to check out the Ipad, I wanted one of my own so I got one. I also got the Ipod Touch which I also like. Turns out that Apple products is cool stuff.

Only thing though, will I get an Iphone someday? Nah, I don’t think I’ll ever get one.  I’ll just stick with the Ipad and the Ipod Touch. I’ll have to admit that both of those have been pretty addicting to me.

For the Ipad, I just get apps that can be pretty useful to me and the ones that are good. For the Ipod Touch, I just use that to listen to music. I will also admit that buying  albums off of Itunes have become quite an addiction to me. Can’t help it. I love music and willing to buy albums “legally” ’cause I don’t believe in illegal pirating. I like supporting the artist.

While I do like the Ipod, there’s a few things I don’t like about it…. 1) sound quality could be improved 2) buying albums from the Itunes store can take up a lot of memory on your PC. If Apple can fix those two things that would make them perfect. Other than that, I like Apple.

Harrison Ford does surprising Reddit AMA chat but of course keeps quiet on “Star Wars: Episode VII”…

Harrison Ford recently did a surprising Reddit AMA chat to promote his new Showtime show, “Years of Living Dangerously” and of course, his fans asked him a lot of questions about his past movie career mostly. Keep in mind that this chat will be VERY addicting as it is entertaining as hell. He must have been on Reddit for quite a while ’cause he answered a lot of questions. Of course, there is not one discussion of “Star Wars: Episode VII” which is understandable ’cause if he confirmed that he’s gonna be in it… this would have been big news. I’m sure Harrison is in “Star Wars 7″… Disney/Lucasfilm is probably ordering him to keep it quiet for now.

While he didn’t talk about Star Wars Episode 7, he did talk a little bit about the “Blade Runner” sequel.

Enjoy the chat here:

Edit to add: I tried to copy and paste my favorite responses but for some reason reddit didn’t allow it.  Oh well.

Robert Davi aka Jake Fratelli wants back in for “Goonies” sequel…

Richard Donner exclusively revealed to TMZ that he’s planning a “Goonies” sequel reuniting the original cast and he says it’s definitely happening. Robert Davi who played the opera-singing baddy, Jake Fratelli, exclusively revealed to TMZ that he definitely wants in on the “Goonies” sequel. Robert says he was thrilled to hear that Donner is planning a sequel and is game to coming back if Donner wants him. Robert wants to help write the script and he already has a plot idea for Jake.

http://www.contactmusic.com/article/the-goonies-sequel-corey-feldman-robert-davi-richard-donner_4144466

Yep, we may see the return of the Fratelli brothers which would be pretty cool! The Fratelli’s searching for One Eyed Willie’s gold seems like a good idea. After all these years, the Fratelli’s are still obsessed with One Eyed Willie’s gold and the reunited Goonies must STOP them. Sounds like a nice plot idea.

Corey Feldman said he was skeptical of the Goonies sequel but says he will be down with it once a script is completed…

http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/news/a563083/the-goonies-sequel-corey-feldman-happy-to-return.html#~oAQnrXAAa4I4vC

What about Josh Brolin and Sean Astin? Will they be down? What about the rest of the gang?

The last time Josh spoke about the sequel was back in 2010 when he admitted they do have a script written but he didn’t say whether or not he’s gonna be in it.

http://www.nme.com/filmandtv/news/josh-brolin-admits-there-is-a-goonies-2-script/193245

I know a lot of people maybe skeptical of a “Goonies” sequel but it can work with a good story. I’m sure they’ll do a good job and it’ll be just as good as the first one.
