“Girls” star, Adam Driver, in talks to play main villain for “Star Wars: Episode VII”…

Look like JJ Abrams finally found his main villain for “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Turns out that Adam Driver who is most famous for his role in the HBO TV show, “Girls”, is in negotiations to play the main villain for “Star Wars: Episode VII”.

Details on the villain is top secret for now but they hint that the villain will be similar to Darth Vader.

Glad they are using a new villain for Episode 7 instead of bringing Vader back. What will be the new villain’s name? Darth something? Will he be in a costume with cape and different helmet and all? Hope this villain won’t be a relative to Anakin ’cause that would be messed up.

When will JJ ever announce that Harrison, Mark, and Carrie is in  the film or not? Everybody already knows they’re gonna be in it anyways so why the long secrecy for these three?

David Fincher set to reunite with Aaron Sorkin for “Steve Jobs” biopic…

David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin worked together for, “The Social Network” film. The two are set to reunite for the upcoming “Steve Jobs” movie.

Honestly, this doesn’t surprise me that David Fincher was going to be on board for this. He’s one of my favorite film makers but I’m also disappointed in this news. Why? I want him to get right to work on, “The Girl Who Played With Fire”, the second Lisbeth Salander movie (w/ Rooney Mara, and Daniel Craig). Look like we may have to wait even longer for “The Girl Who Played With Fire”.

Back to the “Steve Jobs” movie, will they get Trent Reznor to score again? That wouldn’t surprise me as well. They’ll probably get Daniel Craig a role in the “Jobs” movie. Not sure if Daniel Craig will play Steve but maybe a different role. I can’t see Daniel Craig playing Steve anyway, they look nothing like each other.

Hope they pick a good actor to play Steve. I’m not sure of my choices of who to play Steve but for the older Steve… I’d say get somebody like Daniel Day-Lewis or Liam Neeson. Those guys can play just about any role that throws at ’em and I’m positive they can nail it!

“Ghostbusters III” is still happening…

Look like Sony studios and Ivan Reitman are still committed to making “Ghostbusters III” despite the death of Harold Ramis. That’s okay. I’m all for them continuing on ’cause I’m pretty sure that’s what Harold would have wanted. He would have wanted them to move forward without him. They’ve been planning this movie for years and they just can’t cancel the project after all that hard work and money spent. Like the saying goes, “The show must go on”… the same for this film.

There is a final script written for this film but it’s gonna be re-written some due to Harold’s sudden passing. Welp, look like we’re gonna have a dead Ghostbuster in the film. Will Egon somehow make a cameo appearance as a CGI ghost? Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what they’re going for.

The original Ghostbusters was only gonna be in this film briefly, anyways. This film was meant to pass the torch to younger Ghostbusters… that’s the idea for this film, I think.

Even though, Bill Murray has a part in “Ghostbusters III” it is still NOT yet known whether he wants in or not.

I know a “Ghostbusters III” is pretty debatable but I think a 3rd film deserves to happen. Give them a chance, ya know? “Ghostbusters 2” wasn’t a great film at all, and this trilogy deserves to end with a better film. I thought they did a great job with the video game. “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” was excellent stuff. I think they’ll do a good job with the 3rd film too.

Dan Aykroyd still loves the Ghostbusters. You can tell he has a lot of passion for this. He badly wants to get this movie made. Watch all of his interviews talking about Ghostbusters III. He’s pretty committed to this project too. With that being said, I would love GIII to happen. I’m intrigued on how they’re gonna pull this off.

Film Review: “The Lego Movie”…

Starring: Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett

Directed by: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller

Today, I decided to check out “The Lego Movie” that everyone is talking about… here is my review…

Plot/synopsis: The LEGO Movie is a 3D animated film which follows lead character, Emmet a completely ordinary LEGO mini-figure who is mistakenly identified as the most “extraordinary person” and the key to saving the Lego universe. An ordinary guy, Emmet is mistaken as being a “Master Builder” or one who can save the universe. Emmet and his friends go on an epic journey to stop the evil tyrant, Lord Business, who is bent on destroying their LEGO universe by gluing it all together.

Like everyone else, I used to collect Legos and play with them myself when I was a kid. I used to be obsessed with LEGOS, used to collect a lot of them. I was skeptical of this movie but since this movie is getting positive reviews everywhere, I decided to check it out for myself. I don’t go see kids movies that much. I only saw this one ’cause I used to be a fan of LEGO toys myself as a kid.

Despite the positive reviews, I would have to say that this movie was a slight disappointment. Kind of expected more. Yes, all the stop animation and CGI visual effects were pretty impressive stuff. The characters were good but I thought the story was kind of lacking a bit. Story was a bit too complicated… especially for little kids. I’m pretty sure all  the kids who went to see this movie didn’t understand the plot at all. I understand they wanted to make a Lego movie for kids but they should at least make the plot simple to understand for children. The plot was more aimed at the adult audience than the children, I thought. Yes, the film sends a nice and important message about Legos which was the point but I had a hard time understanding what the story was about. The story tries to be humorous but didn’t laugh at any of the jokes too much.

Other than that, the action scenes were pretty entertaining, though. The characters were fun. Everything that have something to do with Lego is in there… even all the Lego movie characters were featured in the film like: Star Wars, Superman, and other Justice League characters. Another disappointment was that they totally neglected Indiana Jones. I couldn’t understand why the film ignored Indiana Jones when that character have been an important part of Lego for a long while now. Saving Indy for the sequel maybe?

Voice acting and casting was good but that’s probably the only thing that was good about the film. Although, “The Lego Movie” have been getting rave reviews… I didn’t really find it all that special. It was just okay. Nothing great, nothing amazing like so many make it out to be. It’s worth taking your kids to see this film but seeing this movie alone, I’d wait for DVD. I kind of wished I saw the new “Robocop” movie instead.

I’d give it one thumb up.

New “Carrie” film thoughts…

Earlier this week, I finally gotten around to watching the new “Carrie” film w/Chloe Moretz. The film based on Stephen King’s first novel and the remake from the 1976 film by Brian Depalma.

I thought the new “Carrie” film was pretty good actually. This film was pretty faithful to the book for the most part. It followed the original story pretty well except for the ending. The ending was a little different. I thought Chloe made a good Carrie White but I was most impressed with Julianne Moore playing Margaret, Carrie’s mother. Julianne did a great job playing that character as expected.

I have a few complaints about the film; however, that the film had a bit too much GGI. There is a bit too much slo-mo as well. I also think they should have kept Stephen King’s ending in this movie. I don’t want to talk about the ending ’cause I don’t wanna spoil things. It’s obvious that the ending to the new “Carrie” left open for a sequel.

Other than that, this film wasn’t bad. The prom scene was actually BETTER than the Depalma version. I kind of was at the edge of my seat during Chloe’s prom scene. It was pretty intense.

This film wasn’t too bad. Pretty good but could have been better. Nothing I could watch over and over.

“The Purge: Anarchy” trailer is finally here and I’m pretty impressed with it!!!

The first Purge film starred Ethan Hawke and it was taken place at a home throughout the film. This time it looks the sequel will show the whole town that is under the yearly Purge.

The sequel stars Zach Gilford (who plays Matt in “Friday Night Lights” TV show)… I recognized him as soon as the trailer started… look like this is his first major leading role in a big film so congrats to him!

I’m liking what I see in the trailer so far as it totally explains the first movie. I think I’ll definitely be there to see the second Purge movie. I really liked the first one.

Enjoy.

Acca-believe it…. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will return to “Pitch Perfect 2”!!!

I loved the first “Pitch Perfect” movie, and I’m not really into those type of comedies that much. It’s just “Pitch Perfect” was enjoyable, funny as hell and the girls in the film are just adorable too! I’m glad they’re making a sequel to the film. I’m glad Anna and Rebel will return for the sequel ’cause I feel they can’t make upcoming sequels without them. The two young women pictured above made the first movie for what it is. I haven’t gotten the BluRay for this movie for my collection yet but was meaning to get it soon. I’m looking forward to the sequel now that Anna and Rebel are returning. The first “Pitch Perfect” movie is really good. I remember adding that film to one of my yearly best of movies list too. I still stand by it that this movie is great. You should check it out too if you’ve never seen it.

Is Woody Allen a pedophile and child predator???

Woody Allen’s adoptive daughter, Dylan Farrow, just came forward in a letter that her film director father molested her at the age of 7. While I’m sure this story is getting mixed responses… some think that Woody is a child predator and some even thinks he’s innocent. Well, I think I do believe Dylan and support her so I’m on her side. Why would she make something like this up? I absolutely believe that Woody could be a pedophile. Over the years in his life, he always dated young women. Women that were too young… they were mostly underage women and he even married one of his own adoptive daughters.

Woody Allen is a sick freak who can’t be with women his own age. It’s understandable how some men prefer to date young women but not too young. It’s not only that Woody and Roman Polanski are a huge problem. Pedophilia has always been a huge problem for years in Hollywood. The movie business needs to be investigated and this needs to get stopped.

I never really liked Woody Allen’s movies to begin with. Why would Woody date women this young? Well, I think that something may have happened in his childhood that made him get into it. I’ve read that he didn’t have a very good childhood and he didn’t get along well with his parents at all back in the day so maybe that’s a small part of it.

The question is, why is the Farrow family trying to bring this to the people’s attention now when they should have years ago? They just want people to wake up that’s all. They don’t want to see Hollywood and movie fans supporting a film director who maybe a pedophile. Some may say Woody should be left alone but in this day and age with the way Hollywood media is, celebrities will always get exposed for something the more famous they get. That’s how it works. It’s called karma. Your past will always come back to ya no matter how long ago it was, ya know?

I can’t blame the Farrow family and they’re doing a good thing. They just want us to watch out who we support. After Dylan Farrow, I have a feeling that more victims will come forward… just wait…
