Is Ghost B.C. in the studio recording new album?

The Tobias Forge facebook is hinting that Ghost B.C. is in the studio recording their third album. He said there is gonna be a third Papa Emeritus III which means a third album by Ghost B.C. There has been a lot of speculation that Tobias Forge himself is Papa Emiritus, the singer of Ghost B.C. which I agree that Papa Emeritus is probably him.

Tobias Forge himself claims he’s not Papa but I’m not buying it…

The band Behemoth revealed that Papa is Tobias Forge…

Here’s a Photo of Ghost’s Papa Emeritus II Un-Masked with Behemoth’s Nergal

I mean Papa Emeritus has got to be Tobias Forge, it’s obvious right? I took a listen to Tobias’s other band Subvision and the singer for Subvision sounds very similar to Papa. Plus, Tobias is a pretty tall guy and Papa Emeritus is pretty tall.

I understand that metal bands tries their best to hide their identities like Slipknot did but it almost never works. People will always find out who they are and that’s what happened with Slipknot. It didn’t take people long to find out that Corey Taylor and Jim Root were in Slipknot so they had no choice but to reveal themselves.

I think the same will happen to Ghost B.C. Papa and the nameless ghouls will soon get revealed. I’ve always wondered who the real guitar players are in Ghost B.C. ’cause they are great guitarists.

Ghost B.C. is an excellent band and I look forward to their next album. I still have to get their first one too.

Laurie Anderson says David Bowie thinks “Lulu” was Lou Reed’s best work and I agree…

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame had their ceremony over the weekend, just last Saturday. Laurie Anderson who is Lou Reed’s wife/widow gave a speech at the Hall of Fame in honor of her late husband who just got inducted.

While she spoke, she revealed that David Bowie told her that Lou Reed’s final album with Metallica, “Lulu” was his best work. Bowie said to Laurie, “Listen, this is Lou’s greatest work. This is his masterpiece. Just wait, it will be like Berlin. It will take everyone a while to catch up.”

When Bowie mentioned the album, “Berlin” that was Lou’s solo album released in 1973. When that album first came out, that album wasn’t received well by critics and fans either. Today, “Berlin” is considered a masterpiece.

Bowie is saying the same thing will happen to “Lulu” and I agree.

Music lovers today may have a hard time enjoying the Lou Reed and Metallica album, “Lulu” but give it time… 10 to 20 years from now, everyone will look at it as a masterpiece. Sometimes it does take 20 years to get people to realize how good of an album it is.

I’ve always thought, “Lulu” was a work of genius ever since I heard it. I couldn’t stop listening to the album. The music was really powerful and so were the lyrics.

When people shit on the album, they just don’t understand “art”. The music on “Lulu” wasn’t made to entertain people. They were meant to tell stories and create art, the way I look at it. I thought “Lulu” was a beautiful record. Despite the negative criticism of the album, it made no. 36 on the Billboard 200 so that’s pretty successful.

While I do love the album myself dearly, “Junior Dad” was the best song off of it, though. Listen to the track below.

Congrats to Lou on making the Hall of Fame finally and RIP. I really was bummed about his passing, he was my favorite artist for years.

Bill Ward vs. Black Sabbath feud continues…

Yesterday, Bill Ward of Black Sabbath posted this. Still bitching about that “signable” contract in order for him to re-join…

Ozzy responds, calling Bill Ward out and even went as far as bashing him publicly… read it here, it’s actually pretty funny and I can totally see him saying this in his typical Ozzy voice…

I don’t know too much about the industry and all but from what I understand, there is no “signable” contract when playing in bands in the national industry is there? I don’t think so. I don’t think members sign on to join bands. When people join bands in the major labels, the musicians ask if you wanna join and that’s it. I believe there is nothing “signable”. When legendary bands reunite, they don’t sign anything. They just get together just like any band would, ya know?

So I think Bill is full of shit when he claims he should sign a negotiable contract. I think he’s definitely has something to hide like his health problems like Ozzy has been saying.

I wish fans would wake up, get themselves educated and stop siding with Bill ’cause they shouldn’t trust him either. Bill is just being a greedy douchebag and I’ve been saying that ever since this feud started. The guys in Sabbath will welcome Bill back in the band anytime, Bill is just being greedy and difficult about it. Ozzy and Bill are both telling their sides of the story.

Why can’t Bill stop this “signable” contract bullshit and just play? Isn’t that what music is about is playing for the love of it? Maybe Ozzy is right that Bill is just using his “signable” contract excuses as a cover for his health problems.

I feel a big lawsuit battle coming. Who’s gonna sue first?

The Rolling Stones song, “Thru and Thru” from “The Sopranos”…

So I just finished watching “The Sopranos – Season 2” earlier today and toward the end of Season 2 finale, they were playing this really incredible song that blew my mind. I never heard the song before so I looked it up online and the song was written by the Rolling Stones. I’m like, really? The singer didn’t sound like Mick Jagger at all. Then I realized it was Keith Richards singing the lead vocals in the tune. Sometimes Keith Richards does sing the lead vocals on some Stones songs. It is a beautiful song even though I’m not much of a Stones fan. This song “Thru and Thru” came from the “Voodoo Lounge” album. I’m actually thinking about getting that album for this song.

Before anyone accuses me of watching TV all day… I don’t. I usually watch TV at night but for “The Sopranos” I have been watching during the day though. I was just getting back in from a long walk to the gym to do my workout and walk back home so I’m not a lazy person at all if that’s what you’re thinking.

“The Sopranos” is such an epic show. I think it’s my favorite show in the history of TV. Really… I thank HBO for giving us the opportunity to watch their shows without having to pay for cable. What HBO did was pretty amazing despite their subscription price being a bit pricey. I’ll have no problem paying 14.99 a month, it’s no big deal to me.

Back to this song, I think it’s an amazing tune and might get the Voodoo Lounge album. “The Sopranos” do have the best soundtrack in TV history, in my opinion. Their song selections is good.

Thoughts about Madonna kissing Drake on stage…

Check this out, I hate discussing these kind of stuff on my blog but I thought I would talk about this one:

http://www.tmz.com/2015/04/13/drake-madonna-kiss-coachella-video/

This sparked a huge debate on the internet so I thought I would get my thoughts on it too. Madonna made a surprise appearance at Coachella during Drake’s set. As she was walking around on stage while singing, doing her usual thing… she made out with Drake onstage. Then there was a lot of speculation that Drake was disgusted ’cause a 56 year old woman kissed him since he had his hand over his mouth after she did it.

You see, I don’t think Drake was being disgusted. From what I saw, he fucking LOVED IT!!! He covered his mouth ’cause from the looks of things, he looked pretty shocked and thrilled. He was in one of those moments that he was pretty speechless that one of pop’s biggest icons made out on stage with him. He did love it. If you watch the video in the link above as Madonna made out with him, he was trying to brush his hand through her hair but she took his hand away. In my opinion, I think it was a bit of a thrill and excitement. He just couldn’t believe that a legend just kissed him, ya know?

I’d be the same way if a female pop star kissed me. This is one of those moments he’s never gonna forget. He was just pretty surprised and shocked, that was all. You heard him himself, “Oh shit, look what just fucking happened”. He was just a little too star struck is what it was. He probably never expected it and she just did it. The kiss was probably improvised and not planned ’cause you know how Madonna is. That woman is unpredictable when she performs. She’s always been sexual like that. Still the same old Madonna she’s always been.

Venom’s new album, “From the Very Depths”, one of the best metal albums I heard in a long time…

In this month’s Guitar World magazine, they had a 4 or 5 page article on this Black Metal band called, Venom. They did it to promote their new album, “From the Very Depths”. After reading the article, I became intrigued with the band. So I decided to buy and download their new album, “From the Very Depths” in Itunes and gave the album a listen this morning. I was very surprised with it. I actually enjoyed the album quite a bit and think it’s one of the best metal albums I heard in a long time. It’s black metal and all the songs on it are nothing but devil worship. Yeah, most of the songs are about loving and appreciating Satan but still the album is really cool. I dig the vocals, the guitar riffs and the album is pretty listenable.

This is why I love Guitar World magazine. They help turn me onto bands I never heard before and that’s why I read that magazine. I’ve been reading Guitar World magazine for over 20 years and still loyal to that magazine today. It’s the best guitar magazine out there.

Give the album a listen here if you dig metal. I’ve been getting into a lot of metal lately. To be honest, I listened to metal and heavy music my whole life. People find it weird ’cause I don’t have the look. I just enjoy the music. I used to never be into death metal and black metal but I’m just starting to get into that stuff and starting to like it. Death metal and black metal isn’t all that bad, really.

Man, who cares if David Lee Roth’s singing isn’t as good anymore, just shut up and enjoy!!!!

Man, ever since those new Van Halen TV performances on Jimmy Kimmel and Ellen started surfacing the internet this week, David Lee Roth’s singing is getting knocked like crazy. Most people can agree that the rest of the band sounds pretty sick and tight but what they’re criticizing is David’s singing. They are saying things like that David should spend lesser time on showmanship like running around the stage, swinging his microphone stand around and all that stuff and just concentrate on the singing. I read all that stuff and I’m like really?

Welcome to the new generation of young music fans where people don’t know anything about rock n’ roll.

When you perform live in rock n’ roll, it doesn’t matter if your singing is good or bad. It’s all about the music. In rock n’ roll showmanship is pretty important as a way to entertain the crowds. Why would a singer want to stand there looking like a fucking zombie??? The goal is, a rock n’ roll singer needs to be all about showmanship as a way to put on an entertaining show… running around on stage, dancing, smiling, swinging the mic and all that stuff, ya know?

If you find all that stuff annoying about Van Halen, then you must be new to them. I got news for ya, people. Van Halen has always been about showmanship. David Lee Roth has always been that kind of performer with his Van Halen career and his solo career. He has always been the same old David Lee Roth.

Sure, David doesn’t have the strong and powerful voice like he used to but he’s still a good singer, in my opinion. When you sing for rock n’ roll, you don’t need to be a perfectionist. I love Van Halen and am planning to get their new “Tokyo Dome” live album pretty soon.

Van Halen performs on Jimmy Kimmel at Hollywood Blvd.

The mighty Van Halen performs on Jimmy Kimmel live. This is the band’s first TV appearance since they reunited with David Lee Roth in 2007. I’m a longtime Van Halen fan. I’ve been listening to them for years.

I’ll have to say that Eddie is definitely looking much happier and healthier in these videos. As some of you know, Eddie spent most of his life as an alcoholic and behind the scenes, Eddie was always a difficult guy to get along with. That is why the band broke up too many times over the years. It seems that he’s been staying sober these days and he’s looking real good. Hope Eddie stays this way and it’s good to see him smiling on stage again.

After watching the “Roast of Justin Bieber” finally, I think Justin has my respect now…

I think the reason why Justin Bieber wanted to get on “The Roast” was that it was just his way of apologizing to the world for his mistakes. You know how Biebs got into so much trouble with the law like with his reckless driving, vandalism and all that stuff. He knows all the mistakes he did and I think he finally learned from them. He wanted to get on the roast as an opportunity to learn from his mistakes and apologize for them.

I know people are always gonna hate Justin Bieber no matter what he says or does but come on, guys. What he did here was ballsy. It’s time to forgive him for that. It was very brave of him to get on national TV and admit his mistakes and apologize. I totally respect him now for his honesty and bravery. He just wanted to give other people an opportunity to give him a good kick in the ass for all his past mistakes. That’s what he did this for, in my opinion.

http://www.people.com/article/justin-bieber-apology-speech-comedy-central-roast

Anyway, “The Roast of Justin Bieber” was pretty good. Could have been better but was pretty good. Most of the roasters were too easy and kind on him, in my opinion. Most of them spent most of their time roasting the other roasters instead of Bieber. Although, Natasha and Jeff Ross were the only two that were brutal on him. Then Will Ferrell came out at the end as the Rod Burgundy character from “Anchorman” and of course, he stole the show.

Justin’s speech at the end was powerful but at the same time, he was funny and humorous too! Justin even made fun of himself.

I know Justin has a lot of haters and still do but I think it’s time to forgive him after this. He’s got my respect now. I was never into Justin’s music and probably never will be but I’ll respect him as a human being. He’s no longer a child. He’s a full grown man now. It’s time to treat him like a full grown man.

I think all the trouble and controversy that Justin got himself into over the years, he was just a kid having too much fun with his fame and I think that’s what it was all about, in my opinion. He’s just finally starting to realize that enjoying fame “a bit too much” is sometimes a bad thing.

It was a pretty good show. I’m glad I watched it. Love him or hate him, you gotta give him credit this time, folks. Admit it now!
