Star Wars Episode 7 to be taken place on Tatooine???

Seems like Star Wars Episode 7 has already started filming. The crew have already begun filming at some desert which looks to be the Tatooine set. Every Star Wars fan should know by now that Tatooine was the home planet of Luke Skywalker, where he was born and where he grew up on. So the leaked photos is a pretty clear hint we may see the return of Luke Skywalker. Luke returned to Tatooine after the events of “Return of the Jedi”? Look like the droids returned there too ’cause you can see a group of men trying to move a very large object which I think is part of C3Po’s escape pod. Then you see a photo of the AT Walker that we once saw in “Empire Strike Back”.

See the photos here:

Look like they’ll do justice with Star Wars after all, maybe. Look like this is gonna be a Star Wars movie that fans were hoping for and that geeks will be drooling over for sure.

When will we know the title of this movie, the plot and the casting? I’m hoping on Star Wars day, May the 4th… they will reveal all for “Star Wars 7”.

Please don’t fuck this up, JJ. Please!

Warrior’s wife taking over inspirational teachings about life??? Seems so…

It seems Warrior’s wife who’s she calling herself, Dana A. Warrior, is taking over his online inspirational life teachings. We all know that Warrior was VERY deep into philosophy kind of like Ayn Rand but it’s looking like Warrior just passed the torch to Dana before he passed. Seems that Warrior has been teaching his “life” inspirations to his family and passed it along to them just like he passed this stuff to all of us. It’s looking like Dana will keep in touch with all of us. Look like Warrior taught her a lot and taught her to be strong even through the ups and downs in life. You think Dana will be in a emotional wreck for a while since Warrior passed but apparently not. It appears she stayed strong and happy like Jim Hellwig taught her. Warrior wanted people to be strong, happy and have a successful life and Dana is just keeping that inspiration going. It’s probably her way of getting through this difficult time.

This is pretty amazing stuff… this family.

Shirtless selfie… showing off my fitness progress for the Spring season…

I think I’m seeing some results in the chest finally. Slow process but finally starting to look like a bodybuilder chest a little bit. Getting big chest pecs doesn’t happen over night. It’ll take another several years to really see some great results but I like what I see for now.

I guess doing a lot more pushups, dumbbell flies, and more cable crossovers pretty much did it. I don’t believe in bench pressing so I try other things.

Hope the ladies dig this now, lol…

Ways to improve your ear training/improv skills…

What are some ways to improve your ear training and improv skills? Not only you have to have some music theory knowledge — you have to do a lot more work than that. Having a good skill at improvisation requires having a good ear. Having a good ear is tough to do but I’m trying my best. Here are some simple tips on improving your ear as a musician:

  • Ear training instructional material – There are all kinds of great books, CD’s, DVDs and Iphone/Ipad apps that can help you improve your pitch in music. I try to go through this as much as I can and being self-taught at ear training is good stuff.
  • Singing along to each note you play – To get the note memorized in your head easier, singing along to it is key. You don’t necessarily have to have a good singing voice to sing along to practice your pitch. I do this all the time and it works. You may have a shitty singing voice but doing this helps.
  • Record yourself playing notes and see if you match it with your guitar – This helps too. Play anything random and see if you match the note without even looking at the fretboard.
  • Jamming along to backing tracks – If you want to jam in a band playing along with recorded backing tracks is good practice. You can find all kinds of backing tracks in youtube. If you’re good with MIDI, you can even create your own backing tracks if you want to. Another good idea is get a loop pedal and jam along with that and I’m thinking about buying one of those sometime in the future.
  • Jam along with your favorite recordings, try to copy solos off that song – Trying to figure out solos to your favorite songs without looking at tablature really helps too. Don’t look at guitar tab. Guitar tab is for babies. Be a real guitar player and figure it out by ear!
  • Jam with actual musicians – Jamming with other musicians really helps your improvisation skills greatly and I’m gonna start doing this soon. Get yourself together with a guitar or bass player and just jam for fun. Or even better go to your local open jam night at a bar and I’m sure you’ll find plenty of musicians willing to play with you. Playing with as many musicians as possible will help improve your skills and I gotta start doing this myself.
  • Just listen and think – You can even improve your improvisational skills by not even touching the guitar at all. Listen to as much music as possible. Listen to your favorite guitar heroes. Another good tip, don’t listen to any music at all and you can still hear music in your head. Listen to music in your head and try to copy what you hear in your head. I think the correct word I’m looking is “visualization”. “Visualizing” really helps too.

I’m sure there’s more tips and advice but those are some of the big ones.

I really want to become great at improv. That has always been my goal as a guitarist ever since I picked it up 19 or 20 years ago.

More on music theory…

I think it’s important that every musician should learn music theory. It’s not that hard to learn really. It’s all a piece of cake to learn. Pretty easy stuff. It just takes quite a while to memorize that stuff by heart and I’m getting there.

If I want to learn improvisation, learn how to write songs better and stuff… I gotta learn this stuff. I’ve been playing guitar for 19 – 20 years now and I really need to sound like that I’ve been playing for that long. My goal in guitar is not necessarily to become a shredder. I just wanna to be able to play everything I hear in my head. My head is like a radio 24/7. I’m always hearing songs in my head and I wanna be able to get that stuff out of me quickly. To do that, you must have a good ear.

Memorize the names of the notes on the guitar fretboard. Know how intervals work. The major scale, the circle of 4ths/5ths, key signatures… so on and so forth.

I’ve been trying to learn all kinds of different scales. Learning various finger exercises for building up my speed. When I do finger exercises and scales, I like to play along with a metronome. Playing along with a metronome is pretty important. It’s to help you learn to play fast. I do wanna play fast lead guitar but only when the solo calls for it so I’m probably not gonna be obsessed with fast notes. I just wanna play good guitar solos. Speaking of the metronome, I also have been playing rhythm guitar along with it too ’cause I really need to learn how to play in the pocket and play real tight if I ever wanna play in a band someday.

I wanna play good lead guitar. I wanna be able to learn to improvise and learn phrasing. All that stuff. Trying really hard.

I just wanna become a real “musician”. I wanna be able to jam with other guitarists and maybe even other bands too. I’m trying all I can to become a more advanced musician. It takes dedication, patience, and hard work.

A lot of people mistakenly wants to believe that Jimi Hendrix never knew any music theory but they are all wrong. Hendrix was a music theory master, he knew all of it.

It’s important stuff to learn. Honestly, I’ve been focusing a lot on learning guitar more than songwriting. I just wanna play like all of my heroes that I look after (Page, Hendrix, Satriani, etc.).

Pretty soon you’ll see me on youtube playing guitar solos over songs when I’m ready.

Guitar playing is really in my blood. I really love it too much. Just wanna get better and learn how to play like a pro. Getting there the best I can. I just wanna get better at guitar so I can write better songs.

Government tyranny compared to Star Wars…

10169323_10152316242693459_8637196742721044311_n

This facebook meme just came up on my newsfeed so I thought I would share it.

It’s really pissing me off that when you disagree with Obama’s politics and how he’s running the country… the only response people can come up with to defend him is, “The only reason people hate him is because he’s black”.

Look… if you think there is nothing wrong with Barack at all and if you think he has done nothing criminal… you are an ignorant and delusional piece of shit. I really mean that too.  Tyranny is tyranny. Shouldn’t matter the skin color. If he kills innocent people and changes the laws around, thinking he can do what he wants. He should be held accountable.

Skin color shouldn’t matter. Evil is evil. Dictatorship is dictatorship.

Playing the race card is a huge problem in the media. You can’t defend him on everything ’cause he’s black.

I’ve been called a racist and a homophobe ’cause of my conservatism all of the time. I just ignore it and deal with it.

People in Congress are afraid to impeach Barack ’cause they’re afraid of being called racist. If I was Speaker of the House or in charge of the Senate, I would have done whatever it took to get the President punished no matter how risky it is.

People don’t hate him because of his skin color at all. We hate him ’cause of his actions and words. He’s lied to us many times, he has committed too many crimes and he is not faithful to the Constitution of the United States. We’re not gonna sit back and smile about it.

Liberals are the most ignorant people on the planet, they are the worst when it comes to Barack.

I’ll have more on this topic tomorrow. It’s late and I’m going to bed.

Why Chelsea Clinton’s pregnancy announcement is all over the news..

I would think the only reason Chelsea Clinton’s first pregnancy announcement blew up all over the news is ’cause it’s just a sneaky little way to help hype up Hillary’s 2016 election even more. Ya, think? There’s no reason at all for this story to be all over the news. Something that is less important and not many would care about. Most Americans are fed up with the Clinton’s and we’re getting sick of them.

I have nothing against Chelsea, really but I’m willing to bet that she doesn’t know that her mother was responsible for the attacks of Benghazi – Sept. 11, 2012 that murdered 4 American men which included, Ambassador Christopher Stevens. I’m sure Chelsea knows that Hillary is being accused of it but I’m sure Chelsea thinks Hillary isn’t capable of such a thing.

I can’t wait until the day when Hillary is found guilty. This is gonna destroy Chelsea and will probably break her heart. Can you imagine, Hillary’s first granddaughter/grandson growing up while Hillary sits in a prison cell?

Who cares about Chelsea’s first baby. Another reason it could be all over the news is so that it could try and help the American people look at Hillary in a positive light. Was Jenna Bush’s first baby story a huge news story? Not that I can remember…

There are more important things in America to worry about like getting those held accountable for Benghazi and other crimes.

Prince and Warner Bros. finally buries the hatchet… the Purple One will release re-issues and new album…

Prince and Warner Bros. have feuded for years over some legal bullshit which I don’t know much about but the two finally decided to kiss and make-up. For a long while now, Prince have been releasing albums independently and now it looks like he is on a major label again. The deal will include a new album with new original songs, a re-issue of “Purple Rain”, and albums of unreleased material.

I wasn’t much of a big fan of Prince but I did like the “Purple Rain” album, though. Prince have been out of the mainstream spotlight for years now and looks like he’s about ready to make a huge comeback.

Will a world tour follow the new releases? A full fledged tour haven’t been announced yet but I wouldn’t surprised if that’s coming.

I’m sure his fans are excited and thrilled. He still has a huge fanbase out there.

Warrior really wanted us to believe that life really matters…

From one of Warrior’s older inspirational life videos. Before Warrior died, he really wanted to help people. In his youtube channel, he wanted to teach people that life really matters and it’s really serious. He really wanted us all to make the best of it in life.

He’s part of the reason why I felt I needed to improve my life which is getting worked on. He made me realize that life really is great.

There are goals that I want to achieve in life and I’m working on them. Working on trying to improve my music. Staying committed in bodybuilding. Trying to improve my life by talking more and becoming less shy. Become more outgoing and confident. Trying to meet more women and hoping to get a girlfriend. Gonna get back into job hunting again.

Even though my life isn’t perfect, I just live the best of it and enjoy it by playing my music, doing the bodybuilding, listening to music, watching movies, reading books, etc. Doing the things I like to do.

Warrior just didn’t want people to feel down about themselves and wanted everybody to be happy.

Kev

Edit to add: Actually, this video just posted was never uploaded before so this is one of Warrior’s unreleased videos. I’m sure Warrior recorded plenty of videos that didn’t make it to youtube and I’m sure more will be coming.

Oh god, please no… “Mrs. Doubtfire” is coming back to the big screen…

Look like Robin Williams and director Chris Columbus will re-team to make the sequel to the 1993 hit comedy, “Mrs. Doubtfire”.

More on the story here:

http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/04/16/mrs-doubtfire-sequel/

I used to LOVE Robin Williams but I’m really starting to lose my appreciation for the guy. What happened to him? He used to be very good at choosing movies but now he’s terrible at it. He hasn’t made a great movie in over a decade or so: “Jumanji”, “Flubber”, “Hook”, “RV”, “Jack”, “Old Dogs”, etc. All those films are garbage. “Mrs. Doubtfire” was garbage too. I always hated that film.

In the past, he used to pick great films where he showed his really good acting chops with films like “Good Morning Vietnam”, “Dead Poets Society”, “Good Will Hunting”, “Awakenings”, “One Hour Photo”, “The Birdcage”, “Cadillac Man”, “The Fisher King”, “Insomnia”, etc. I even liked “Popeye” and “Toys”.

I don’t wanna see Robin dressed up as an old woman again. I think Robin is desperate for a hit movie since his latest TV show, “The Crazy Ones” failed in the ratings. Mara Wilson did a smart thing saying no to returning to this movie and lets hope Sally Field says no to this as well. I hope the “Mrs. Doubtfire” sequels bombs but it probably won’t.
