There is a certain bar room that recently burnt down in the Capital District which the name of this bar shall be nameless. I’m sure you’ll know what one I’m reffering to. There has been too many benefit events and too many people showing support for this certain bar in Albany that went down in fire. I’m looking at all this and sitting here scratching my head, saying to myself, “Why all this over some dump in smallbany?”. Why is it that people feel the need to feel important over some craphole bar room in Smallbany? What’s with all these rock benefits local gigs in support of it? If you wonder why I haven’t written about any of this yet is simply because I don’t really care.
People’s homes and businesses burn down all the time all over the world. It happens. It’s part of life. Are these benefits shows in the Capital District area over burnt building a good cause? No. Not really. Isn’t that what insurance do when an accident happens to your business and isn’t it the employees responsibilities to go looking for new jobs?
I refuse to go to these Benefit events in support of this building. I refuse to tip in my money in support of it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not calling it a scam or nothing like that and have nothing against this venue since I’ve never been there.
What I find ridiculous is that the Capital District needs to do benefits events for more important things than some bar going down in flames. Like, how about doing benefit shows for more serious stuff like doing benefit events for children with cancer or doing Benefit events for Haiti or for the Nashville flooding. Honestly, there is a local Greenwich child who has cancer and there is a few Benefit events coming up in Greenwich in support of that child. I would rather put my money towards a child with cancer than some craphole building.
Smallbany doesn’t care about serious things like that, when they would rather put money up for stupid little things that are not important in life. Typical Smallbany. Nothing different, nothing new. Don’t get me wrong, I do feel kind of bad that buildings and business go down on people, and it’s great that people want to help, but use a little common sense and get a reality check. All these benefits and people showing support of the bar is nothing but throwing the owner a bone. Yep, here some quick free cash for ya.
I understand it’s a popular bar and people respect it, I’m okay with it. What I’m saying is, there are more important things to worry about than that. All these benefits for that bar is just plain silly, in my opinion. Supporting children with cancer is making a difference for a good cause, not over some stupid building. That bar is no different than every other craphole little bar in your local town anyways.
