Report: Rev. Al Sharpton will be in Albany, on Monday to host “RAW” at the Times Union Center…

Yes, that’s right. WWE RAW is coming back to Albany, this coming Monday night at the Times Union Center. Who is the celebrity guest host for next Monday’s RAW?

That will be Rev. Al Sharpton. Al Sharpton is coming to town in the Capital District area to perform on Monday Night RAW for a one night episode as a celebrity guest host. Al will be in charge of running RAW as a storyline.

More on it here:

http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=845177&category=ARTS

Although I stopped watching RAW for a while, I’ll watch this one episode. Al Sharpton hosting RAW will be interesting. We all know, Al is the most hated guy in the news media. Obviously WWE, hired him to be special guest host ’cause they think he would make a good heel/badguy host.

Most of the celebrity guest hosts RAW had so far were more aiming to the good guy side. I think Al Sharpton will be the badguy. We’ll wait and see.

I’m sure Al will be great on the mic on RAW though.

Report: Pearl Jam’s self released album, “Backspacer” is no. 1 on Billboard Top 200…

Pearl Jam hasn’t had a hit record in years. Now they finally have one. Their new album, which is released without a “label” and unsigned at this time, “Backspacer” makes the Billboard top 200. You can only buy the album at your local Target stores, Itunes, the Pearl Jam website, and independent retailers.

Pearl Jam wasn’t the only rock band that made the Billboard Top 200 without a major label, remember, Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” made it to no. 1 when the album didn’t have a label at the time.

This is Pearl Jam’s first hit album since “No Code”, released in 1996.

http://www.billboard.com/#/news/pearl-jam-on-blast-to-no-1-on-billboard-1004015707.story

Congrats to Pearl Jam. I’m happy to see that they are getting successful again even if they are not with a label.

I guess the Billboard charts is for any musicians and bands to get high on the list whether you are on a major label or not. It all depends on how well your album sells even if you’re not on a major label or an independent label.

Pearl Jam’s last couple of records were self released without a label but they never made the Billboard.

If Pearl Jam and Radiohead can do this, so can you.

Report: Universal will bring us “Barbie” to the big screen…

Universal Pictures will now officially bring us, “Barbie” to the live action screen, the film studio made a deal with Mattell toy company. As everyone knows, “Barbie” is the most famous toy in the world.

Variety Reports:

http://weblogs.variety.com/bfdealmemo/2009/09/u-turns-barbie-into-movie-star.html

I know this movie is getting a lot of mixed opinions, but sorry to say, I think “Barbie” getting a live action movie, deserves it, seriously. All the little toddler girls that collect these toys deserve a Barbie live action movie. Those of you who are parents out there, don’t you agree?

When I was a kid, I used to think Barbie toys were pretty fascinating. I couldn’t help myself but take the toys and undress them, because they make boobs on these Barbie toys. Men shouldn’t be afraid to admit that they played with Barbie toys when they were kids too because they had a sexual fascination with them. Men are attracted to Barbie toys, they gotta admit that.

As for who I think will play Barbie and Ken.

For Barbie, I think they will go for someone from the pop music industry. Don’t be surprised if they will get Britney Spears for this. They need an actress where little girls that can look after. Miley Cyrus wouldn’t be bad, but she’s too young. They’ll probably go with Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson, somebody like that.

As for Ken, same thing, they need a guy that girls can look after, probably Robert Pattison or Justin Timberlake.

A “Barbie” movie can actually be interesting depending on the plot and the cast. It’s nothing I would see in theater, but might wait for DVD depending on how interesting it looks.

Thought: About the Mackenzie Phillips controversy…

So you wonder what my response is on the incest relationship between Mackenzie and her father John Phillips, most famous for being the frontman of the folk rock legendary group, The Mammas and the Pappas.

I see it as Mackenzie Phillips, a crazy and insane whacked out delusional woman that is out for attention. I think she is making it up for attention. A stupid fucked up bitch that is drugged up, and this is what happens when you’re on drugs, you become crazier. I don’t think John Phillips had a fetish with incest romantic relationships with someone in your own family.

If it turns out to be true, then it wouldn’t surprise me….well, look at Mackenzie. She’s fucking ugly as hell. She has a face that only her parents would love anyways.

Besides, I never liked the Mammas and the Pappas. All the band members are pretty crazy and really never liked their music to begin with. Their songs “Monday Monday” and “California Dreamin” are too pop for my tastes.

Kev

Edit to add: I just saw her on the Today show this morning in an interview, yep, she’s doing this a way to promote her new book. She’s stupid bitch for making this private business publicily. This wouldn’t make John feel proud. She wouldn’t be doing this if John was still alive.

Report: Kiss, LL Cool J, Chilli Peppers, Genesis, etc. nominated for the Rock Hall of Fame…

New nominations for this year’s “Rock Hall of Fame” in Cleveland, Ohio has been announced this year. This year nominations includes the legends Kiss, LL Cool J, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Genesis, The Hollies, and Laura Nyro.

The Associated Press reports:

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5h26sDU2Ys1-gBdz91XJAUZ-jvO1QD9AT0QUG1

Me thinks, Kiss will get in no matter what. So will the Chilli Peppers and LL Cool J. Genesis will definitely get in.

I don’t know about Laura Nyro though, I don’t even know who that is.

If Genesis finally does get inducted, I wonder if Peter Gabriel will be part of that induction since he was the first frontman of that band before Phil Collins? I’m sure they’ll let Peter be part of this. I don’t see why not?

So you ask, LL Cool J is not rock, he is strictly rap and hip hop, how does he get nominated? I’m willing to bet the song “Mama Said Knock You Out”, is what got him the nomination, that tune is kind of like a rock song.

Cool Video: This is why I gave up drinking alcohol…

Like I said, when you want to get into bodybuilding and fitness, you HAVE to quit the drinking and the smoking, both for good.

I don’t even use supplements except the only supplement I drink is Whey Protein.

This dude has it right.

Edit to add: I also love changing my eating ways. It’s awesome eating more healthier and staying away from junk food more often. I only eat junk food once in a while now. I know all bodybuilders don’t eat healthy all the time, they want to have fun and eat junk food like a kid once in a while too, so it’s okay to eat more calories sometimes.

BREAKING NEWS: Bret the “Hitman” Hart is finally open and interested in returning to WWE!!!!!

Wrestling fans have been dying for a Bret “The Hitman” Hart return to the WWE for many years, well, you can believe that our wishes could be coming true. Bret is finally interested and open to the possibilities of returning to the WWE.

Wrestling fans know about the Montreal screwjob with Shawn Michaels over the WWE Championship, which is the reason Bret never wanted back in WWE. Bret and Vince never got along, it may look that they are in good terms.

Bret hasn’t signed a deal to return to WWE yet, but he has been in negotiations with Vince and the WWE about it. My guess is that Bret will return to WWE to finish his feud with Shawn Michaels? Probably. I don’t see any other reason.

More on it here:

http://www.wrestling-radio.com/?view=newsitem&hline=13071

If Bret Hart returns in the future, I’ll definitely start watching WWE again.

I guess the reason I stopped watching WWE ’cause I don’t like how they’re having celebrities hosting RAW everyweek. I’m waiting for the “celebrity guest host” thing on RAW to get over with.

Report: Sony gets “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” movie…

See? I told you it wouldn’t take long for the new “Masters of the Universe” to get a new studio. It seems that Sony has picked it up.

Variety Reports:

Very cool.

I really am looking forward to this. I am also happy that the new He-Man movie will be taking place on Eternia and not planet Earth like the old movie.

I hope the new one stays true to the cartoon series and the action figures.

Report: Stephenie Meyer’s “The Host” to be made into a film…(note: It has nothing do with “Twilight”, it’s an adult novel)

Three different producers have acquired to buy the rights for Stephenie Meyer’s adult novel, “The Host”, to be made into a future film. The producers payed for the rights with their own money.

Before you go accusing the book of being a boring litttle teeny vampire story, it is NOT. It’s the only adult novel that Stephenie Meyer has written and it has nothing to do with “Twilight”. This is a science fiction story.

Variety Reports:

http://weblogs.variety.com/bfdealmemo/2009/09/twilights-meyer-tackles-adult-pic-fare-with-niccol.html?ref=ssp

I’ve been wanting to read, “The Host” but never bought the book. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies to do, I used to read a book all the time when I was young, but now I read a book once in a while.

I don’t think, “The Host” will be as big as “Twilight” but it still might do well in the box office depending on how the film is.
