Even more Angelina news, she just made a deal with Fox 2000 and author Patricia Cornwell for Angelina to play a character named Dr. Kay Scarpetta. Dr. Kay Scarpetta is a popular fictional character in the novel world, the character has a total of 16 books, all written by Patricia Cornwell.

I never read the Dr. Kay Scarpetta books, but look like Angelina’s hair will be changed to blonde ’cause the character is blonde…

Angelina was blonde for a couple of her movies in the past like: “Girl, Interrupted” and “Life or Something Like It”. I would think she is fine in coloring her hair to blonde for a film.

Meeting people online can be dangerous on any website, not just craigslist…

I just read this article at WNYT:

http://wnyt.com/article/stories/S890646.shtml?cat=10114

Some people may think Craigslist is the only easy target for people with crimes in the real world, but the reality is, it’s very dangerous to meet people online anywhere.

You may think, how can the internet be responsible to destroy a person’s life, when it’s just a simple page on a computer screen? You may think, how can the internet single handedly destroy one person’s life?

While you think it may true that the internet is just a computer, a simple virtual thing that you think it’s not that big of a deal, and you think you’ll be safe on it by putting yourself out there in social networking sites.

While the computer is just the internet true, but the internet doesn’t run by itself, it is runned by human people. That is us. We’re humans. We control the mouse, we control the keyboards that we type on. We use our brains of what we write on the computer screen. When you write to someone else online you don’t even know, they’ll write back with a response. That’s how the internet works. It’s almost like the real world. If you think about it, the internet is the real world.

What you see in people online, is what you get in the real world. The internet is wide open, and if you put yourself out there in social networking sites for the world to see, it’s there forever. You may think that when you do social networking sites, your local area may only know who you are, but the internet is for the whole world to see, not just a small group of people.

Putting yourself online for the world to see can be dangerous. There are criminals and scumb bags with no lives that use the internet like us. People in organized crime and gangbangers are all over the world of the internet, using the internet to target people with crime. Hookers/prostitutes using the internet to sell their bodies to strangers as well.

When you’re online, you must use it safe and carefully, use it smart. Take the same advice you use when you visit cities and go on vacations, “Never talk to strangers”. The same goes for the internet. Never trust a stranger online. No matter how cool and friendly they may seem to them, you never know what kind of person they can be in reality.

You may find the person, your online buddy, that you call a friend, when in reality that person could be a fuckin’ druggy or a pimp, or worse could be a gangbanger or a mob hitman. Or could be drugged up serial killer or serial woman rapist looking for his next victim.

The internet can be a dangerous world. When you’re online, only interact with people that you know and can trust. The same goes for the musicians that interact online, bad things can happen to them too. The internet maybe good to interact with fans online but they need to look at reality that isn’t always a good thing ’cause you can’t trust anyone on this internet thing. I certainly don’t.

Report: Stephenie Meyer sued for the books, not for the “Twilight” movies, author being accused of stealing idea from someone else…

A former friend of “Twilight” author, Stephenie Meyer has sued the author, accusing her of stealing the story idea from a short story that she wrote based on the same thing. It won’t stop production of the upcoming movies since this has something to do with the books, not the movies.

Thought: Perez Hilton actually has a point about Miss California but…

If you read Perez’s point again, what he’s trying to say is…that he understands that Miss California has a right for an opinion about her views against homosexuals, he just didn’t like the way it was said.

In that videoblog, he made, he was setting an example of a friendlier way of saying it. I guess that’s what he means. If you pay attention to him, he’s actually not trying to force an opinion on her, he actually understands that homosexuality is not for everybody out there, he just thinks that Miss California answered his question in a very offensive way.

Watch his video again. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. That’s what Perez is trying to explain to everyone but everyone is calling Perez the badguy.

While I now actually agree with what Perez is trying to say, it is still pretty unprofesional to make a videoblog right after the show, and just post it on his website, bashing her. The readers in his comments thinks Perez is trying to force an opinion on her, which I did too, but after reading Perez’s blog for a while, I now understand what he’s doing. Forcing an opinion on her is not what he’s trying to do. He thinks her saying that, “it’s how she was raised, marriage should be between a man and a woman” is offensive.

I think he has a point but he is still a delusional person, he said the video had boos, but if you pay attention there were loud cheers after Miss California said it.

So who’s the innocent one in this controversy? Neither of them are really. Both of them are acting like freedom of speech doesn’t work both ways, so I’m not defending either of them.

Brock’s 5 Films A Week #1

Here it is. For those that regularly buy DVDs/Blu Ray or rent them, that’s what this topic is for. Films that I like that I reccomend you to check out.

Like I said before, they can be films of all times…including old films through today’s films. Each week, I’ll name 5 good films that are currently out on DVD/Blu Ray now. I’ll name a few classics and a few new ones as well.

Here they are:

1. The Reader

(I’ll say this again that I really loved this movie. I don’t really have to explain this one since I already did it below. Amazing film overall.)

2. Marley & Me

(One of the best family films of all times based on real events. The movie gets enjoyable and happy throughout most of the film but of course it gets very sad at the end. Great performances by Owen Wilson and Jen Aniston. Another amazing film that’s beautifully made.)

3. Pinocchio – 70th Anniversary Edition

(This film looked amazing on DVD and sounded amazing too, so there’s definitely a difference between picture and sound. I’ve seen this movie so many times. Not into Disney films that much but this has always been my favorite. It tells a happy story and the story can get very dark at times too. This film will never be made for widescreen because back in those days there were no such thing as widescreen so there is no possible way to make classic Disney films widescreen. Excellent DVD set though.)

4. The Walking Tall trilogy set

(I’m sure this trilogy will be hitting Blu Ray in the future. This is the classic Walking Tall series, not the remake with the Rock. The classic ones that starred Joe Don Baker and Bo Svenson, about the real life story of Sheriff Buford Pusser. These movies kick ass, the action scenes in these movies are 10 times more brutal and nasty than the Rock’s version. I LOVE THESE FILMS!)

5. Dirty Harry – two disc SE (Dirty Harry Collection)

(This is a must have for all Clint Eastwood and Dirty Harry fans. This great film looks excellent on DVD. This is another one of my favorite action films of all times.)

There, that’s it for this week. I’ll do these once a week when I get around to it. I’ll only do these once a week ’cause I know people only shop/rent movies once a week, including myself.

Enjoy.

Report: Third Da Vinci Code movie greenlighted, next one is called, “The Lost Symbol”…

With “Angels and Demons” fast approaching to hit theaters everywhere May 15th, Columbia pictures already greenlighted a 3rd movie to the Da Vinci Code trilogy. The next one is titled, “The Lost Symbol” adapted from the Dan Brown novel which is set to hit bookstores, Sept. 15th.

The third book, “The Lost Symbol” is still based on Robert Langdon adventures, the story taken place after, “The Da Vinci Code”. “Angels and Demons” is a prequel which means it’s taken place before.

I can’t wait to see “Angels and Demons” film in May which I will see. I loved the book and will see the movie too. Yes, I’m pretty sure Ron Howard and Tom Hanks will return again for the “The Lost Symbol” film as well although this article doesn’t confirm them in returning. I’m also looking forward to picking up, “The Lost Symbol”, novel as I’m a huge Dan Brown fan.
