I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

5 important bands/artists that deserve their own “Guitar Hero” game…

Metallica and Aerosmith, already have their own Guitar Hero game. What musical acts will get their own Guitar Hero in the future? Here are my picks that deserve their own Guitar Hero game.

Ozzy

(I think Guitar Hero franchise needs to make one for Ozzy. So music fans can be introduced to the music of Ozzy’s solo stuff and Black Sabbath. I think this game will sell big if they made one. Imagine how cool would it be to play along to your favorite Ozzy guitar heroes: Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee, Zakk Wylde, Tony Iommi, etc. This would be a badass game if they made one for Ozzy and I would buy it if they did)

Led Zeppelin

(The band said, they would never have their music for video games. Who knows. Never say never, maybe Jimmy Page will one day have a change of heart with music video games and may one day decide to do Guitar Hero after all…here’s hoping…)

Jimi Hendrix

(I think it’s obvious that everyone is expecting Jimi Hendrix to get his own Guitar Hero game one day…I think it’ll happen…)

Nirvana

(Nirvana really needs one. Will Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl one day get together to put together a Nirvana, Guitar Hero game? This is another one I would buy if they did one…)

The Grateful Dead

(Some may disagree with this, but I think it would be freakin’ cool if Guitar Hero did a Grateful Dead game. Imagine playing Jerry Garcia as a video game character…playing along to songs like “Ripple”, “Friend of the Devil”, “American Beauty”, “Truckin'”, “Touch of Grey”, “Hell in a Bucket”, “Casey Jones”, etc. This game would be great for the hippies and the jam band fans…)

Report: “Expendables” casting continues…Brittany Murphy, David Zayas join…

Even though, “The Expendables” is filming right now, Sly is still not done casting for the film. I heard Sly just signed a few Brazillian fighters for the movie, now he just signed Brittany Murphy and David Zayas to join the cast.

Brittany Murphy is set to play Mickey Rourke’s girlfriend, she’s a singer, and she’s set to perform a song in the film. David Zayas is most known from the TV show “Dexter”, which he is set to play the dictator in “Expendables”.

Stallone will film in Brazil for a while, then the cast and crew will move to Louisiana, to film scenes with Mickey Rourke, Charisma Charpenter, etc. Then off to California to film Arnold’s scenes. I’m pretty sure Arnold’s scenes would be the very last thing Sly would film.

Cool Video: Billy Bob Thornton’s bizarre interview with the Boxmasters on QTV radio…

Is Billy Bob Thornton spoofing Joaquin Phoenix? That’s what it’s looking like to me. I know Billy Bob is much friendlier and more profesional in interviews than this. I think Billy Bob is clearly acting in this interview.

Check out this hilarious and bizarre interview with Billy Bob and his band the Boxmasters here. Funny shit. Billy Bob has always been a strange guy.

BREAKING NEWS: Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni to get the pink slip from NBC? Read here to find out why…

Law and Order’s, Dick Wolf, may terminate “SVU’s” two biggest stars of the show, Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni…why? It’s all about the money. Reports say that Mariska’s and Chris’s $350 K contracts will expire in May, when they renew their contracts for the 11th season, Mariska and Chris are asking to be payed more, but Dick Wolf is not allowing it.

More on it here:

http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/svu-exclusive-n.html

Mariska and Chris are the reasons the show gets high ratings every week. Those two help the show. Without them, the ratings would tank. These two are the best actors of the show and it would be a mistake if they get rid of them.

Christopher Meloni is an amazing actor and it be a shame if he was to be let go over money. NBC should give them what they want. They deserve to get payed more. Two big name TV stars that helped “SVU” become a mainstream TV show, and they don’t deserve to get paid more?

I know the economy is bad…the only reason Dick Wolf doesn’t want to pay them more is to help save money for his own pockets. If these two get canned, that would be travesty.

Report: Eddie Vedder to play two solo shows at “The Palace Theater” in Albany, N.Y. this summer…

Eddie Vedder, the Pearl Jam frontman, just unleashed tour dates for his solo tour. Vedder will kick off his solo tour in Albany, N.Y. at the Palace Theater, June 8th and 9th. Does this mean that Vedder will be spending the night in Albany that weekend? Looks it.

What will Vedder play in his solo tour? Probably the usual stuff…songs from the “Into the Wild” movie, a bunch of Pearl Jam songs acoustically, and covers of other bands/artists songs. Maybe Eddie will throw in some new and rare stuff as well.

Another concert I’m interested in going to, I’ll think about this one.

Report: Hugh Jackman speaks out on “Wolverine” leak…

Twentieth Century Fox are not the only ones upset over the “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” leak…even Hugh Jackman himself is pissed about it. Jackman has some harsh words to say about it and yes, he sounds pissed!

I can’ t blame the guy. He’s the guy that starred the leading role in, he seems pretty excited and psyched about the film, but the leaker ruined it for all of us.

Those that think it’s okay to steal a movie before release date and put it online, needs a reality check too.

The thing about music fans…obsession with music artists…

I’ve had this discussion before. Pretty much a long time ago, but I’m going to bring it up again. There is one thing that I never understood about music fans in the music world whether it’s in the unsigned or national music industry. I have always found it weird how people have this strange obsession with music artists and bands.

I can tell you one  thing, that when it comes to music, I am a realist. It seems that when you tell the truth about certain music artists and bands, it seems to upset the public and they’ll get all defensive about things. For example, if you call out a band for their egostitical attitudes or dishonesty about things, their fans don’t seem to see it.

Fans will stick by their favorite band’s side no matter what happens to them, 100%. I mean, these fans don’t give a shit if these bands are criminals or liars, hypocrites, delusional people with a huge ego, drug addicts, alcoholics, etc. It seems to me that these fans are so obsessed with their music, that they don’t care what they do outside of that.

As a fan of music, there are lots of artists and bands that I enjoy, but I am not going to back them up everything they do 100%. I am not fan obsessive. There are things that Led Zeppelin did in their careers I disagree with, the same for Metallica, U2 also, even Ac/Dc, and I can go on. I may enjoy music artists, but I’m  not afraid to say that every band I like had their share of making some of the crappiest music I ever heard. If you’re a fan of a band, that does not mean you have to like all the music they do just to be polite to them.

I am a huge fan of Joe Satriani, he is a hero of mine, but I don’t like his plan on suing Coldplay accusing them of ripping off a song of his. I don’t agree with Joe Satch’s actions at all. I don’t have to stick by his side ’cause I’m a fan of his music.

There are still fans defending Chris Brown ’cause they are fans of his music. The same with Rihanna, fans are sticking up for her.

There is nothing wrong with liking all of a band’s music and defending everything they do, sure, it’s a free country. Nothing wrong with being a die hard fan, because I am a die hard fan of some bands and artists myself, either local or national, but I don’t have to stick by everything they do.

Getting a reality check with music is what counts. Of course, people don’t even know what that is around here.

The point of this post is, just because you’re a fan of a band does not mean you have to be supportive of them all of the time.

It’s the same thing with local bands around the Albany area. I may enjoy certain bands music and be a fan of their work, but I’m not afraid to call out their unprofesionalism and their actions at shows in the music scene or how they treat other musicians on the internet. I may enjoy their music, but that does not mean I have to like the musicians as a person. It’s all about honesty and being a realist. I mean, whenever I’m brutally honest and go on a rant about the music scene, people will defend it.

It just puzzles me how people don’t face reality with bands out there. Fans will be positive and friendly about their favorite band, no matter what. I don’t have to be like that, and you don’t either.

Confirmed: Arnold has a cameo in “Terminator Salvation”…

Actor Terry Crews who is currently in Brazil filming, “The Expendables” with Stallone, confirmed the news that Arnold Schwarzenegger has a cameo in the new, “Terminator Salvation”. For the longest time, McG and the other cast and crew of the film has been pretty secretive about it. It looks like McG gave Terry Crews the permission to break out the news. There were talks on whether or not, Arnold will appear in “Terminator Salvation” in CGI or live in person, Terry says, he doesn’t know how Arnold will be in it.

He also revealed the news that Terry will be filming in the same scene with Arnold for Stallone’s new movie, “The Expendables”, filming right now. Terry and Arnold already worked together in the sci fi action adventure, “The 6th Day”.

Stone Cold is filming scenes with Statham and Stallone right now!!!

According to Sheryl Main’s twitter page, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the WWE Hall of Famer is filming action scenes with Statham and Stallone right now.

http://twitter.com/marialascala

No pics yet, but I’m sure pics of Stone Cold in action will be on the web today, I hope.

Stone Cold is playing a villain in “Expendables”, so look like he’s trying to get after Statham and Stallone in the scene they are filming.

Still waiting on more “Expendables” pics…

So far, you’ve seen Sly Stallone, Jason Statham and Giselle Itie hard at work on set.

The only thing is, there are no pics of Steve Austin, Randy Couture, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews and Eric Roberts working on set. All those guys arrived in Brazil yesterday.

Eric Roberts already started working on scenes for “The Expendables” but there are no pics of him on set yet.

I’m sure more pics of “Expendables” filming in Brazil will surface the web later today and later this week. I’ll be keeping on eye on everything.

Remember, you will not see pics of Mickey Rourke, Charisma Charpenter and Arnold Schwarzenegger in Brazil, they are scripted to film scenes in the United States.

From what I see, look like Sly is filming all the difficult action scenes first to get them out of the way, before he starts filming scenes of characters speaking the dialouge from the script. That’s the same way he filmed “Rambo” too.

More behind the scenes pics on the way!
