I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Brock is going to NYC tomorrow, so I won’t be online!!!

I, Brock, will be taking an entire day off of blogging tomorrow ’cause why? I’m going to an all day long trip to NYC tomorrow. I’ll be leaving to NYC early in the morning, probably like around 5 in the morning. And then coming back home real late at night probably. I’m just going with family members and we’re going on a bus, we’re not driving ourselves there.

I’m bringing my digital camera to the trip with me to take pics and I’ll post ’em in the blog the next day. If I run into famous celebrities in public in NYC, I’ll do my best to ask them if they want to pose in a pic with me if I recognize someone if I’m lucky enough.

I don’t go to NYC a lot. In fact, I haven’t been there that much. I probably been to NYC like once or twice in my life. One time is when I was a young child, the first time I went to NYC is when I first met Henry “The Fonz” Winkler in person, yes, I really did meet the man in person a long time ago. I was on my way out of a NYC store and bumped right into Henry Winkler on the way out the door. Family members been telling me about it, I’m having a hard time remembering meeting Henry Winkler but it’s starting to come back to me. I can’t remember if he signed an autograph for me or not, I was too young of a child back then to remember anything.

2nd time I went to NYC is back in my 8th grade High School Field Trip. I won’t be doing Christmas shopping tomorrow in NYC, I’ll probably just do shopping for myself. I usually do my Christmas shopping a few weeks before Christmas.

Tomorrow is going to be a blast, I’ll tell all about it, the next day.

Another thought on “Expendables”, Sly to revive the action genre?

Most of today’s action films have been pretty bad with most action films being full of CGI and being mostly a popcorn movie. Good action movies are slowly starting to make a comeback with Sly’s “Rambo 4”, Jason Bourne films and the new James Bond films with Daniel Craig are good examples of good new action movies. I think Sly is about ready to revive the action genre. Bring good action movies back.

I can definitely see “Expandables” to be even more violent and gory than Rambo 4. “Expandables” will be a serious action movie with non stop action all the way through. I can definitely see Jason Statham, Jet Li and even Stallone himself each getting into brutal fight scenes with the badguys. We all know Stallone, Statham and Jet Li will be playing the leading heros of the film, now Sly will have to start looking for the villains.

I think Sly should get Bruce Willis as the villain in this flick. Maybe even Arnold too. I’m just so happy that Sly is not backing down on action movies. He probably figured if he can still do Rambo, he can still do action. In the past, Sly used to complain about being too old getting into action films and looks like he changed his mind.

I hope Sly continues to write, direct and star in action films ’cause that’s what he’s best at. I’m pretty sure “Expendables” will be a box office smash. It definitely won’t be a box office bomb or a direct to DVD release with this film being released through Nu Image/Millenium. “Expendables” will be HUGE!

I will be keeping an eye on this new movie “Expendables” to see who Sly is going cast for the film and more insight on the plot on the film. Hopefully Sly will make this film about 2 hours or more, I don’t want it to be a short 90 minutes.  “Expendables” is a cool movie title too. I like it.

Report: Brian May dissapointed that he was cut off for Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy” collaboration for a song…

During the 14 years of the making of Guns N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy”, former Queen guitarist Brian May was one of the special guest guitarists who collaborated with Axl Rose for one of the new songs on “Democracy”. Brian May played guitar on the Gn’R song “Catcher In the Rye” one of the new songs off the new album. Axl Rose edited Brian May’s guitar tracks out of the song so the song can have guitar tracks being played by the current band members of Gn’R.

Brian isn’t angry or upset at Axl for the snub but he is dissapointed and a little sad about it. Brian said he was proud of the work he put on Gn’r’s song “Catcher In the Rye”. Brian says he still has the demo of “Catcher In the Rye” with his guitar tracks on the song at home, but Brian will not release his version to the public out of respect for Axl and the band Guns N’ Roses.

See it here at Brian May’s official website:

That sucks. I feel for Brian. Axl’s ego is still flying high. Shame on you Axl. Axl should release the Brian May version.

Funny man Jack Black has landed himself a huge role. Yes HUGE! Jack has signed on to star as the giant in the famous novel by Jonathan Swift “Gulliver’s Travels”. Rob Letterman will be directing and will be released through Twentieth Century Fox.

FINALLY! WOOT! Glad Sly finally announced his next movie. I knew he had something up his sleeve.

I’m glad it’s not a sequel to one of his older movies or a remake, and happy Sly is doing something original next!

“Expendables” sounds great. Looking forward to it. CONGRATS SLY! 🙂

Report: Tina Fey says goodbye to Sarah Palin impersonation…

Tina Fey has decided to hang the dress and take off the glasses with the impersonation of Sarah Palin, the Alaskan Governor who tried to run as McCain’s Vice President.

The reason? Tina is going back to work on “30 Rock” full time that she will not have any time to appear on SNL. She will leave the Sarah Palin impersonators to other actresses on the show.

More on it here:

I don’t think any actress can top Tina Fey. Tina Fey perfected it. No other actress will be good as Tina. I really loved the skits where Tina plays Sarah, they were very entertaining and the best thing that ever happened on SNL in a long time.

Report: Cream’s bassist Jack Bruce slamming Led Zeppelin…just for fun and laughs?

Jack Bruce former bassist of the 60’s psychedellic hard rock band Cream, defends his nasty comments bashing Led Zeppelin. Jack explains he just did it for fun and humor, says it wasn’t to be taken seriously that he was just messin’ with the media for his own entertainment. Later in the interview, he explains how much he actually loves Led Zeppelin.

Blabbermouth reports:

Bands bashing other bands for humor is a normal thing. It even happens with local music as well. When I see a local band at a bar, another musician from the audience will yell out, “YOU GUYS FUCKING SUCK”, then everyone will start laughing ’cause they know it’s a sarcastic joke. That’s where Jack Bruce is coming from.

Try to understand that. I understand the humor in this thing totally.

Report: Jean Claude Van Damme in for “Universal Soldier 3” but is Dolph Lundgren in?

Jean Claude Van Damme agreed to return to “Universal Soldier 3” which he starred the leading role in the first one but it looks like Dolph Lundgren is not coming back. Jean Claude wants Dolph back but the film makers didn’t cast Dolph’s character into the script.

Will it be a direct to DVD release or a theaterical nationwide release? Jean Claude said he is not sure yet.

The MTV Movies Blog said there is no hopes for a Jean Claude and Dolph reunion but never say never. Jean Claude says he really wants Dolph back, so maybe Jean Claude will talk the writers into writing Dolph’s character into the script. If Dolph does get in the film, then this is worth for a big screen release.

I really liked the first “Universal Soldier” film, it’s a great sci fi action adventure film.
