RIP: Evan Tanner 1971 – 2008

Former UFC fighter Evan Tanner was found dead near Palo Verde, California. He was 37. He was found out in the middle of the desert by a helicopter. It was said that the UFC fighter always dreamed of going on a trek and an adventure out in the desert to hunt for some treasure and undiscovered mysteries. The man has been talking about it on his blog at the Spike TV website, he actually went out and did it. Tanner described that this adventure is not just another Christopher McCandless “Into the Wild” story. He said it was a serious adventure about life and survival. It turns out, Tanner’s adventure didn’t last long and he was suffered by desert heat. Evan Tanner has been missing for a few days.

Report: Spielberg, Dreamworks, and Paramount sued for ripping off Alfred Hitchcock’s “Rear Window”…

Director Steven Spielberg is being sued for copyright infrigement by the Sheldon Abend Revocable Trust which is the basis for Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 film “Rear Window” that stars James Stewart and Grace Kelly. Dream Works and Paramount studios both has also been named in the lawsuit. The Sheldon Abend Revocable Trust is suing them because they’re accusing them of making the movie “Disturbia” a thriller that stars Shia Labeouf, “Disburbia” has a similar plot and story to “Rear Window”, the company claims the film makers stole the plot ideas from Hitchcock’s original film.

Alfred Hitchcock and James Stewart won the rights to get the film made in 1953, the Sheldon Abend Revocable Trust says that Dream Works should have done the same.

Steven Spielberg did NOT direct, write or produce “Disturbia”, however, Spielberg did create story ideas to the film makers, that’s why he is named in the lawsuit although he didn’t make the film, he just came up with the story.

Hollywood have been lawsuit happy lately. Get a freakin’ job people, there is more to life than money and these hollywood phonies already have enough of it.

Why sue Spielberg when he didn’t even make the film? BULLSHIT! The judge will probably dismiss this on Spielberg so he can be free of this.

Report: OJ Simpson – Vegas Robbery Trial – Day 1…

Here we go, the trial is on. Day 1 of the Vegas Robbery Trial. Day 1 is just the beggining. Both O.J. Simpson and Clarence Stewart pleaded not guilty in all charges. Judge Jackie Glass took some time explaining that the trial will not be focused at all on the 1995 double murder of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman. The trial will only focus on the Vegas Casino Robbery. When the judge asked how many people knew The Juice personally, at least 87 people threw their hands in the air.

Before trial began, Simpson spoke to Stewart being worried about his children at home in Miami, Florida getting caught in Hurricanes down south.

BREAKING NEWS: WWOOOooooo…… Ric Flair styling and profiling in real life wrestling brawl involving his daughter and law enforcement…

Wrestling legend Ric Flair was involved in a real life fight against his own daughter Ashley Fliehr and an unidentified 22 year old man. Ric Flair who is now 59 was seen covered in blood and bruised. Flair declined to press charges on his daughter and the 22 year old man, but his daughter was charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. The 22 year old man was Ashley’s boyfriend, they say that it was a family matter and claim it is resolved now.

Police used a taser gun on Ashley to stop her from resistance arrest and assaulting the police.

TMZ says Ashley’s court date is October 6th.

BREAKING NEWS: J.K. Rowling wins copyright infringement lawsuit against Steven Vander Ark’s “Harry Potter Lexicon” encyclopedia…

Die hard Harry Potter fan Steven Vander Ark had planned to publish a Harry Potter encyclopedia titled the “Harry Potter Lexicon”. She filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Steven Vander Ark and the RDR Books company who planned to publish it.

The judge made a final decision in court today that J.K. Rowling has successfully proven how publishing the encylopedia without her permission would harm her rights. The judge permanently blocked publication of the encyclopedia and awarded Warner Bros. studios the makers of the Harry Potter films $6,750 in damages.

It’s no surprise to me that she was going to win it. I already predicted it. She must have good lawyers that she was getting laid with to get out of this one.

Cool Video: Official video for Oasis “The Shock of the Lightning”…

Oasis put up the official video for their single “The Shock of the Lightning” in the band’s official youtube channel. I just love the song, it is brilliant work. Great rhythym playing and great riffing in guitar playing, also Noel’s vocals are unique in this tune. “Lightning” is a pretty tight tune and digging it very much. I’m definitely looking forward to getting their new album “Dig Out Your Soul”.

I never watch MTV or the VMA’s. Those that still do….why? The VMA’s continue to get worse and worse every year. Those that still do are probably the people who only concentrate on mainstream popularity of music.

The only reason MTV gave Britney those awards was to make her feel better because she had a tough year.

MTV shouldn’t be supported. MTV is worse than myspace. Both should be off this planet and get boycotted.

Report: Whoopi Goldberg to star in Christmas special Muppets TV show…

Actress, legendary standup comic, and current co-host of “The View” Whoopi Goldberg has signed on to star in the Muppets Christmas Eve TV show special “Letters to Santa – A Muppets Christmas”.

This is just a one off TV show of the Muppets, it is not to be confused with the new Disney Muppet film that Jason Segal and Nicholas Stoller are writing for the big screen.

Report: OJ Simpson pulled over on the way to trial in Vegas…

The Juice was on his way to the Las Vegas trial today until he was pulled over with police assuming that he was driving while intoxicated. Police didn’t find any evidence that he was drinking and was clean with alcohol, so they let him free. Today is the first day of the Vegas Casino Robbery trial where the jury selection begins.
