Report: Former ECW/WWE wrestling star, The Sandman, busted for rowdy bar fight…

Former ECW/WWE wrestler, The Sandman (real name: James Fullington) was busted for getting into a rowdy bar fight against bar employees when he was there for a gathering with other former wrestlers. He threw beer glasses at them and when police showed, it was said he threw beer glasses at them too. The Sandman was taken into custody and was made some charges against him including resisting arrest.

When the ECW company (was owned by Paul Heyman, now owned by Vince McMahon) used to be in business, The Sandman was a longtime ECW regular known as a beer drinking redneck wrestler similar to Stone Cold’s gimmick, the Sandman was known to carrying a singapore cane everywhere he went. The Sandman performed in WWE from 2005-2007.

Just more wrestlers who can’t keep their gimmicks in the wrestling ring. They get so into their characters that they try to use ’em in real life. Looking at the Sandman’s mugshot in the article, it must be a brutal fight, he’s got a bandaid and bruises all over his face. I can see the crowd in the bar cheering, “ECW, ECW, ECW, ECW,” to the Sandman.

Bale was arrested in London the day before he was supposed to attend “The Dark Knight” London premiere. Meanwhile, the actor denies physically hurting his own mother and sister. He was taken into police custody for 4 hours and was released. He was also not charged. A family member of Bale’s said it was a family matter that the actor had an argument with his mother and sister, he claims he did not hurt them.

It’s time to play the Batman theme from the TV show and the words “POW” comes up everytime Bale hit his mom and sister.

Thought: Is the “Dark Knight” Oscar worthy for Best Picture?

Yes, I know, another “The Dark Knight” post. I can not help myself. The movie is amazing. I love the movie so much, it’s a film with perfection. Everything about the movie is perfect. While everyone is wanting Heath Ledger to get Oscar nominated for “The Dark Knight”, I think the film deserves a lot more nominations.

I think the film is worthy enough for these nominations here: “The Dark Knight” for Best Picture, Christopher Nolan for Best Director, Christopher and Jonathan Nolan for Best Adapted Screenplay, Heath Ledger for Best Actor in a Leading Role (yes, The Joker is the leading villain), Gary Oldman for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Michael Caine for Best Actor in Supporting Role (two way tie), James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer for Best Musical Score, Lindy Hemming for Best Costume Design, “The Dark Knight” for Best Sound and Best Cinematography.

Notice I never listed Christian Bale for anything. His acting was good for Bruce Wayne/Batman but definitely not Oscar worthy. Not only Heath Ledger deserves to be Oscar nominated for this film, the rest of the film does too.

This could possibly be the first Oscar award winning Batman film. This movie is so amazing that I want to see it in theater again and again.

Report: WWE Films changes it’s name to WWE Studios…

The World Wrestling Entertainment’s side company called “WWE Films” had just changed it’s name to “WWE Studios” hoping to be fully part of the movie business in Hollywood to become more mainstream. This WWE movie company is just like a regular film business like all film businesses in Hollywood. WWE just wants to give WWE superstars an opportunity to star in a leading role of the film. So far, WWE Films has already made three major movies: “The Condemned” starring Stone Cold Steve Austin, “The Marine” starring John Cena, and the horror film “See No Evil” starring wrestler Kane. Since all three of those movies flopped in the box office, WWE hopes to make more successful films in the future.

WWE is currently working on two films a comedy film titled “Suckerpunch” which stars the Big Show and “Behind Enemy Lines 3” which stars Mr. Kennedy both in leading roles. WWE plans to make films in all genres starring wrestlers but will not go for the R rating.

The WWE now wants to make drama TV series that has nothing to do with live wrestling for superstars such as Mick Foley, Rowdy Piper, Ric Flair, and of course who else, Stone Cold.

Variety Reports:

Keep in mind that wrestlers are not only athletes they are also actors. The film company WWE is doing is nothing but another marketing tool to help promote WWE live shows and ppvs.

BREAKING NEWS: Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper says no more to reviewing movies on TV…

Look like the popular TV show hosted by famous movie critics Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper will no longer be reviewing movies on TV, Roeper was the first to announce he’s leaving the show and Ebert followed the next day after. Ebert is moving on for his obvious health problems, Roeper is just moving on in his life. Look like he no longer wants to get paid to see movies, if he wants to see movies he’ll have to pay himself in the theater.

Richard Roeper took over Gene Siskel’s place after Siskel passed away in 1999 due to a brain tumor.

Thought: 5 Favorite scenes from “The Dark Knight” MAJOR SPOILERS!!!!…

Just got back from the 2nd viewing of “The Dark Knight” in theater, and I still think it’s the best film all year long. Here are my 5 favorite scenes from the film in no particular order, spoiler warning of course, so if you haven’t seen the movie yet, do not read this blog entry…..

************************************SPOILER WARNING**********************************************

  • The opening bank robbery sequence, intro to the Joker. This is when the Joker first shows in the film. The opening bank robbery sequence had me at the edge of my seat.
  • The SWAT police van chase…this is the scene where the Joker is going after Harvey Dent who is in the back of the SWAT police van. Batman tries to chase after them to try and rescue and save Harvey’s life. Amazing camera work during sequence and the pacing of this scene is just spellbinding.
  • Batman confronts the Joker in the police station after the Joker’s been arrested and been taking into custody. This is a pretty moving scene.
  • After Harvey Dent been turned into “Two Face”, he goes around trying to kill people for revenge at the people responsible for trying to kill him and killed his girlfriend Rachael. Batman comes and tries to talk Harvey out of it. Chris Nolan does a great job at getting the audience thinking that Harvey was going to really kill Commissioner Gordon’s family, but of course, Batman to the rescue.
  • The Joker threatens to make plans by sending out two large ferries, one which holds prisoners and the other holds innocent civilians. This is just the Joker’s way of trying to get Batman to reveal himself and turn himself in, Joker orders the people on one of the boats to destroy the other one, if they refuse, Joker will destroy both of them himself by midnight. Nothing happened that night because Batman came to the rescue once again and messed up the Joker’s plans.

While the Joker does indeed survive at the end of the movie, looks like Nolan is saving the Joker for another film so the Joker can team up with other Batman villains. Who should the next Batman villain be in the third one if Nolan does one? It’s probably gonna be the Catwoman because she was also one of the earlier Batman villains after the Joker.

*****************************************END SPOILER*********************************************

There you have it. Feel free to discuss, like I said don’t read this entry if you haven’t seen the film yet and don’t even read the comments if people are replying because they could possibly be talking about the film too.
