David Lee Roth tells TMZ that he is perfectly fine. He says that him being allergic to nuts is bullshit and made up stories. He was in Canada for a Van Halen concert. He had no encounters or incidents with the police and he was not rushed to the hospital.

The boys in Metallica announced the news that the band will release a box set edition of their new album “Death Magnetic” set to hit stores in September. The box set will include all kinds of goodies like the new “Death Magnetic” album will of course be in it, also a disc of demos, a behind the scenes DVD the making of the album, a Metallica t-shirt, flag, guitar picks and all sorts of stuff.
The box set is mainly made for the longtime hardcore fans who still support the band to this day. I’m sure the regular “Death Magnetic” studio album will be released without the box setting too.

Stone Temple Pilots recently just played a concert at the Glens Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls, N.Y. Right after the show, Scott Weiland decided to hang out at Club Hot Shots sports bar and restaurant for a bite to eat, a couple of drinks and to relax after a gig. While Weiland seems very nice to people, he was willing to pose pics and sign autographs for fans in the small club in Glens Falls.
Don’t believe me that Scott Weiland was there at Hot Shots? Here are a few pics to prove it, Scott is the one wearing the baseball cap with the white long hair…it was just Scott at Hot Shots…Dean, Robert, and Eric were not there.

Iron Man’s Robert Downey Jr. has signed on and confirmed a deal to star in Guy Ritchie’s version of the “Sherlock Holmes” movie. Robert will be playing the legendary fictional detective, Sherlock Holmes. The film will begin shooting in October and the script was written by Anthony Peckham.
There is another Sherlock Holmes movie in the works but the other one will be a slapstick comedy version which will star Sascha Baron Cohen as Sherlock Holmes and will star alongside Will Ferrell. So we get two Sherlock Holmes movies on the way. One serious one and the other is a comedy version.
Robert next stars in Ben Stiller’s comedy “Tropic Thunder” which he plays a black man filming a war movie, it also stars Jack Black.

Authorities became suspicious that the family of Jon Benet Ramsey for murdering the young beauty queen, so they DNA tested her parents and her brother. DNA proved that her family had nothing to do with the murder. Jon Benet Ramsey’s mother already died in 2006 of ovarian cancer after Jon Benet’s death. Now all the DNA proves is that the killer of this young child is still free and on the loose.
The killer isn’t John Mark Karr, that was already proved a long time ago. The authorities apologized to Jon Benet’s family and John Ramsey, the girl’s father still hopes the killer will be found and put to justice.

This seems to be a popular cover tune of mine. I plan to re-learn this song ’cause I haven’t played this tune in so long.
Now someone has the video that I don’t have anymore, I’ll put this video in my own account too so it can get more hits and views. I remember this Caffe Lena performance, it was a couple of years ago, it was a crowded and packed night as you can hear the loud crowd during the performance.

Since NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” new renewal for Season 3 coming later this year, the film crew of the show revealed the breaking news that two important characters of the show won’t be returning. They will only return for a few episodes to explain their leaving. Jason Street (pictured above in wheelchair) and Smash Williams (pictured under Jason), will not be returning full time. The actors for those two characters are welcome to renew their contracts but I guess they are moving on as well. They were forced to get out of contract because of the writer’s strike last year when the show was cut off.
To explain their leaving of the show, Jason and Smash both graduated from high school and their last 4 episodes they have left they will move on to a better life. Jason will move on to take care of his pregnant girlfriend and Smash will probably move on to college football.

Ah well, I’m glad Season 3 is returning and at least Kyle Chandler and Taylor Kitsch aren’t leaving.

Finally! I get a few days off from work. On my day off of work today, I decided to go to the mall to see a movie and do some shopping around. I decided to check out “Wanted”, the new action/adventure flick starring Angelina Jolie.
The story/plot revolves around a young man who is an office worker named Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy). Wesley lives a bored life with his boss at his job torturing him, he has a bad relationship with his girlfriend, and just lives a bored life. When he runs into a woman named Fox (played by Angelina) forced him to be recruited in this secret society named The Fraternity. Wesley learns that his father has these powers where he can aim his gun anywhere he wanted and do super quick fighting moves like the Matrix style. Wesley is being trained to learn those special powers so he can help find his father and learn Wesley’s true identity. The Fraternity leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman), helps Wesley in his training until Wesley learns that the Fraternity group is not to be trusted.
My thoughts on the film?
I thought it was a piece of garbage. Nothing but a typical popcorn action flick. It’s worse than “Die Hard 4” and I find it a total rip off from the “Matrix” movies. “Wanted” was too cartoonish and it wasn’t entertaining. I was pretty much bored through it. I don’t get why this movie is such a box office hit. James McAvoy was the thing about it, his acting is bad and he was so annoying throughout the entire film. I would give this film thumbs down all the way. This was the worst movie of 2008 so far. Don’t worry, there are better movies coming out this month, this month of July we have “The Dark Knight” and “X Files 2” coming out and I’ll be seeing them both as well.
Score for “Wanted” = * (1 star as in poor)
Sorry Angelina, I’m glad you’re still doing action flicks, but pick a BETTER one next time!
On a side note, I did pick up “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith” for the PS3 at Best Buy today, I plan on trying it out for a little bit tonight. It shall be fun. I also picked up Motley Crue’s new CD “Saints of Los Angeles”, I’ll give that album a review soon.

Here are 5 films that I think are worthy of another sequel in no particular order:
Evil Dead 4/Army of Darkness 2
(A film that everyone wants a sequel made to, all the Evil Dead and Bruce Campbell fans has been begging for one more Evil Dead movie for many years)
Rambo 5
(After the success of Rambo 4, fans want another one, the more Rambo, the better!)
Ghostbusters III
(Maybe a Ghostbusters III movie will happen after the video game is a success. Movie fans been begging for a third Ghostbusters movie for years and I agree, I think another one should be made)
Predator 3
(How sweet would it be if Arny reprised his role as Dutch for Predator 3! I loved the first Predator film, that film is such a classic as I own the DVD to the first film. I liked Predator 2 with Danny Glover, but I think a 3rd Predator film should get made to make it into a full trilogy without Alien being mixed into it)
Willow
(I talked about this in the blog before, a sequel to Willow should be made. I doubt George Lucas and Ron Howard would ever want a sequel to Willow but I think it would be way cool to see Warwick Davis reprise his role as Willow Ufgood and Val Kilmer back as Mad Martigan. The sequel could be a whole new fairy tale leaving off from the original. I really do hope Hollywood considers making a sequel to this great film)

After years of hard work of writing the script to the WWII epic “Inglorious Bastards”, Tarantino plans to finally start production of the film in October. Tarantino has made a deal with Harvey and Bob Weinstein with the Weinstein Co. to finance, distribute, and market the movie worldwide. So expect this to be a huge box office blockbuster!
Tarantino is still keeping casting underwraps, but I think he’s keeping quiet about the casting to surprise all of us.

Although Sly, Bruce and Arny aren’t confirmed for this movie yet, it wouldn’t surprise me if those three action stars are already signed for this film.
With Brad Pitt possibly in the cast, I think John Travolta would be a great addition too.
I think Tarantino’s goal with this film is to have an entire cast full of big name mega stars. I really do hope Sly gets a role in this film, all of Sly’s fans wants him in this film and we all know this is a perfect film for Sly. Sly Stallone better not turn this one down!
