A lot of people came and went in my life but that’s okay. Let ’em fucking go. Just continue to enjoy your own life and continue to be happy. If people don’t want to be a part of your life anymore then you shouldn’t worry about it. Don’t chase them to come back to your life ’cause why? You know who your true friends are when they stick with you and stay loyal to you. I still have some friends who stayed loyal and supported me even to this day. Yes, you WILL get a lot of fake friends who will stab you in the back. You know, people who thought they were your friend but they weren’t after all that time. Yep, I get that shit all the time but you know what? I don’t care. I’ve hung out with people in person who I thought were my friend but stabbed me in the back.

You ever been in those situations where you hang out with people for a long time and then your so-called friend no longer wants anything to do with you? They all of a sudden cut off all contact with you and they no longer want to hang out with you anymore. It seems to be happening to me a lot lately but that’s okay. I’m a happy guy and life is good. Like I said above, you know who your true friends are when they don’t stab you in the back. Your true friends are the ones who don’t give you any drama and bullshit at all. They’ll stay loyal to you and think the world of you. Yeah, I’ve got some true friends in my life that stuck with me through everything which means a lot really. I’ve dealt with plenty of friends who decided they didn’t like me anymore and they stopped being my friend all of a sudden. I’ve dealt with it a lot and I’m sure you did too.

So because you lost people in your life that you thought were your friend but weren’t after all that time, who cares. It ain’t the end of the world, ya know? Just keep living life. Keep smiling. I’ve had plenty of former friends who decided not to like me anymore but that’s okay. I can’t please everybody, ya know? When you lose friends that’s when you know the right ones will stick with you.

If I’m gonna do this “Greatest Hits” album of my past music, I’m gonna have to dig in and re-learn my older songs which is what I already started doing this week. Yeah, I’m probably gonna forget a lot of guitar parts and forget lyrics ’cause I don’t save a lot of old lyrics. That’s the whole point of this project though, seeing if I can make my older songs even better so there’s probably gonna be a lot of rewrites. A lot of rewrites for both lyrics and guitar parts. I’m probably gonna forget a lot of stuff but that’s okay. That’s because I haven’t played the older songs in a long time. I want to re-record most of my old stuff as a way to celebrate the history of my music. That’s what it’s all about really. A celebration. As a special thank you for the people who supported my music over the years. Some of my supporters still enjoy my older songs I’m noticing and that’s what I’m doing it for. For the long time fans who go way back and supported me ever since then. I really want to do this Greatest Hits thing along with a bunch of brand new songs. I’ll re-do all of my old songs first and then I’ll start writing the new ones. Get the Greatest Hits thing out of the way first.

Some of these songs are pretty special to me still ’cause they helped me get out there gigging in the first place. I used to gig a lot back then around the early 2000’s years ’cause of my older songs. I just want to improve them. Make them even better. A lot of my old songs has gotten re-written so many times anyways. It’s a good thing to do is re-write your song over and over in order to improve it. I feel I’ve gotten better at songwriting anyway. It does take years to become a good songwriter.

In the old days, I’ll admit that I used to be a shitty songwriter and didn’t know what I was doing. That’s okay, when you first start out, you’re always gonna be shitty. It does take years of practice to get good. In a way, I still don’t know what I’m doing but I just let the music speak on it’s own and that’s the way to be.

It’s gonna be fun celebrating the blast from the past.
