I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Check out an old school acoustic performance of Pearl Jam performing “Even Flow” on MTV Unplugged here…

I remember seeing this when it first aired on MTV.

*sigh*

I miss the old days in the 90’s when we DID have rock all over the mainstream. We don’t have that anymore. I love Pearl Jam. Always had. It’s amazing to me that this band is still together today… making albums and touring on a yearly basis. This is one of the few Seattle bands who have never broken up. They kept going.

I really do think Gene Simmons is right on the money when he says that rock is dead. Will we ever get a rock mainstream revival ever again? Yes, rock is still around but not as huge and mainstream as it was in the past.

I miss the rock 90’s.Those were the days when I got into all the grunge and alternative rock bands like Nirvana, Alice N’ Chains, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. I was in high school back in those days and I bought all their CD’s and obsessed with listening to all of them. I still love all those bands now, including Pearl Jam.

Eddie’s singing is usually criticized a lot but I think the guy has always been an amazing vocalist. He’s got the pipes for sure.

Again with the nude celebrity leaked photos…

When Jennifer Lawrence’s nude photos leaked, people were like: “Oh no, poor Jennifer. This shouldn’t have happened to her. She’s such a sweet innocent woman who doesn’t deserve this.”

When Kim Kardashian and other celebs got leaked, people were like: “Who cares… she’s such an attention whore and a gold digging bitch who is famous for being famous.”

You get the idea right?

People felt sympathy for Jennifer Lawrence but when other female celebs like Kim K., Vanessa Hudgens, Gabrielle Union and Avril Lavigne got leaked they got all kinds of hate and disrespect.

I don’t know anymore. Just further proves my point that people online are fucking weird, ya know???

If you feel sorry for Jennifer, then you should feel sorry for the rest of the celebs.

I think people felt sorry for Jennifer ’cause she’s sweet, nice and talented.

I could have sworn that this happened to Madonna many many times. Yes, that Madonna the 80’s pop superstar. When Madonna got private nude photos leaked, I think she never threatened legal action ’cause she is pretty confident in posing in the nude. That’s who Madonna has always been. She has always been a sexual kind of woman. I remember she published a Sex book years back that had her nude in it. She posed nude for the movies too so she’s used to it. From what I understand, Madonna is okay with her nude photos being leaked. Being sexual is part of who Madonna is.

As for other celebs, I’m waiting for Beyonce’s photos to get leaked. Maybe Mariah Carey.

It’s just gonna happen more and more to celebs with the way technology is going these days. You can’t fight it. That’s just the way it is.

More on the latest White House intruder…

Well, it turns out that the latest White House intruder happens to be an American and claims to be a war vet. The guy also had a folding knife when he got arrested.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/security-breach-prompts-white-house-security-25653969

Think about this, with the way Obama is treating the country… all of these scandals and crimes like Benghazi, Operation: F&F, The VA scandals, Obamacare, NSA, IRS, illegal immigration, etc. All of these things going on with Obama being a lawless president, disrespecting the Constitution, obsessive lying, covering everything up, etc. This is gonna bring out more angry Americans coming to the White House. Whether to protest or to intrude the White House, Obama’s gonna bring out angry people.

Like I said in a post before, I could care less what happens to the White House or Obama himself. This is karma for the White House since they didn’t provide security for Benghazi. Since they are investigating how the intruder got into the White House, doesn’t this makes the White House look like hypocrites since they didn’t provide security for Benghazi???

Yes, intruders invaded the White House many times in the past but I looked it up. Intruders didn’t really happen all that much to other presidents in the past. It happened more with Obama.

I don’t feel sorry for the White House that this happened to them ’cause those fuckers clearly deserve it. This is only the beginning ’cause it’s going to get worse for them once those illegals who crossed the border make their way to D.C.

I’d say let people intrude the White House. The people in the White House are worthless pieces of shits anyways.

Kev

Oh no! An intruder at the White House! Who cares???

Are we supposed to feel sorry that Obama is starting to get intruders at the White House? Why do things like this have to be huge news when there are tons of criminal acts committed by this administration getting ignored by liberal media???

After Obama refused more security at Benghazi which left 4 of our own dead, the White House certainly deserves the same treatment. They don’t deserve security either. Since Obama left the Mexico borders open, I could care less if a bunch of illegals decide to try and attack the White House ’cause it could happen. I could care less if something happened to Obama and I’m sure the rest of America won’t care either.

Obama getting White House intruders is karma. He’s going to keep getting more and more intruders as long as he keeps treating America badly.

More on podcasts…

Today I just started listening to Chris Jericho’s podcast series titled, “Talk Is Jericho”. Just listened to the first two episodes where Jericho was interviewing Stone Cold Steve Austin. It was a very good interview. “Talk Is Jericho” is a good podcast. I think Jericho is doing a great job and think I’m gonna be addicted to his podcast. Why? I’ve always been a huge fan of Chris Jericho. Not only that he’s a talented wrestler and a good performer, he’s also an interesting guy. I like the way he talks and the way he thinks. He’s a good speaker and I like how he speaks his mind. His podcast is more than just wrestling too. He talks about music, movies and things like that. I’m new to his podcast series and will listen to a lot more of it soon.

If I were to start my own podcast series, though… I gotta find a way to record it and think of what it’s gonna be about. I don’t think I would want it to be about politics. I think I’ll keep my podcast series more interesting by talking about music stuff and movies. Do music and movie reviews. Give out opinions and rants. Things like that.

I came up with an idea that I could conduct my own interviews with local musicians but I would need to figure out how to record live phone calls, though. I’m sure there’s a way, I’ll research it.

The podcast thing is becoming a big deal. It’s getting huge. Why? Podcasts is nothing but talk radio, in my opinion, but with a podcast you can listen to it anytime and anywhere rather than listening to talk radio on Sirius or an FM station. There are too many celebrities with their own podcasts like Adam Carolla (which is the biggest podcast ever) which I plan on checking out soon.

Not sure if I’ll start my own podcast or not. I’ll think about it a while and make a decision. I’ll probably go for it. Podcast is a really good way to speak your mind. That’s why a lot of them do it. I got a good enough USB mic for the Ipad so I’m good enough to go. I just gotta learn how to do all this stuff and will.

Supergirl is on her way to CBS…

I wish them good luck and hope they make this show very successful. I’ll check it out when it makes its way to TV, why not? If they want this show to work, they need good characters and good writing.

Supergirl deserves another chance and she deserves to be huge. If she does get successful in the future, I can see Warner Bros./DC making a “Supergirl/Superman” movie.

I like the Supergirl character.

I have lost faith and hope in our government, disgusting… we are about to arm our enemies… the Syrian rebels…

So the House and the Senate approved arming Syrian Rebels. Who are the Syrian Rebels? Are they good guys? If you think so, then you may wanna watch this video.

The Obama administration have been arming our enemies for a long while now… that’s what “Operation: Fast and Furious” and “Benghazi” were about. It’s just that Obama have been arming our enemies privately behind the scenes.

Now his obsession with arming our enemies have been officially made public over Congress agreeing to arm Syrian rebels hoping to fight Isis. It looks like republicans even agreed with arming Syria. I’m really beginning to despise both parties. They are both traitors and they just sided with Obama.

Obama would never consult with Congress on anything unless they give him what he wants. Well, they gave him what he wanted for once and I’m sure Obama is happy as hell and enjoying it.

What’s wrong with sending our own troops over? What’s wrong with dropping drones or nukes on Isis?

I don’t think the Syrian Rebels are going to fight Isis either. The Syrian Rebels are just gonna join them and Isis will get even bigger and more powerful.

I am despising our government even more now.

Scales and modes…

For a long time now, I have been trying to learn modes. Learn how to play modes and learn how to apply them with my riffs & rhythm playing. I think I finally getting the technique of learning modes. After all this time, learning modes is not that hard. However, before you think about learning modes, you can’t learn the modes of major scale right away. Learning modes is for intermediate/advanced guitarists. Before you learn the modes, you have to be playing guitar for a while and learn beginner stuff first.

First you must learn the 5 patterns of the major scale up and down the neck. You have to know how the chord progressions go like the 1. Major 2. Minor 3. Minor 4. Major 5. Major 6. Minor 7. Minor flat 5 (which the 7th chord progression and it’s also the Locrian mode which is hardly ever used anyway). Once you get the hang of that stuff, then you’re all set for learning the modes.

Thanks for the “Fretboard Theory” book by Desi Serna which helped me understand the topic of guitar modes. I finally get it now ’cause of him. For years, I’ve been trying to understand modes and how they work and I think I finally got it!!!

Now I can finally start experimenting and practicing modal jams which is what I plan on doing right away today. Today I’ll make a backing track through AmpliTube using modal jams. Maybe I’ll try the lydian and mixolydian jams. I’ll figure something out.

To become a great lead guitarist, you don’t need to be all technical and fancy. Like I said before, all you need to learn is a few basic scales. All you need are the minor/major pentatonic scales, the blues scales and learn the modes — that’s it!!! That’s all you need in order to become a decent lead guitarist.

I’ll have to admit and confess that I wanna become a great lead guitarist. I wanna be that kind of guitarist where other musicians would look after me and be inspired. I wanna become the virtuoso type but it’ll take a long while to get there and I am getting there. It does take years of hard work, practice and patience. Becoming a virtuoso doesn’t happen over night. I’m really am trying to become a more advanced and skilled guitarist. It just takes a lot of time to become great.

This is why I’m starting to get into jazz music. It’s why I started to get into Al Di Meola for guitar inspiration. I’ll get into more jazz guitarists too like George Benson, Pat Metheny, Allan Holdsworth, Joe Pass, Django Reinhardt, etc. I’ll get into those guys soon, I just wanna listen to Al Di Meola for a while ’cause that guys music have been addicting to me as of late.

While I’m getting better at lead guitar, I just need to improve the improvisation/ear training part. I also need to improve phrasing and learn to play more melodically. Like I said before, playing fast notes and showing off maybe fun but I wanna focus on melody… make my lead guitar playing sound lyrical… like someone singing a song. If you wanna melt people’s faces with your solos, playing melodically is key. Nobody wants to hear a bunch of fast notes and noodling. They wanna hear music and that’s it.
