I’m glad JJ Abrams is not doing Star Wars 7, and here’s why…

For some weird reason, Star Wars fans picked JJ Abrams to direct the upcoming new, “Star Wars 7”. I can totally see why, because his version of “Star Trek”, really felt like a “Star Wars” movie. I think the reason he said he’s not doing Star Wars is because he simply stated that he was a big fan of Star Wars more than Star Trek. He admitted to not being a Star Trek fan at all when growing up, he didn’t know anything about the series, which made his version of “Star Trek” for what it is, a great film. If he knew a lot about Star Trek, then the film would have been different. If he did Star Wars, then his take on Star Wars, wouldn’t be as good as Star Trek. Kind of hard to explain but I think you get it. JJ just said, he’ll still support the new movie but he’ll be there as a fan.

I agree that JJ won’t be the right fit. The way his film style is, doesn’t seem right. He uses way too much lens flare. The picture of his films are pretty dark, and there’s a lot of shaky cameras. Do you honestly want to see all of that with the new Star Wars movie? On top of this, JJ Abrams is so overrated as hell. I liked his work with “Star Trek” and “MI: III” but that’s about all. I hate how JJ is everywhere in Hollywood and TV shows. Basically, his popularity in the mainstream, all started with the “LOST” TV show. That’s why that guy is so huge.

He’s an okay film maker, it’s just that there is better out there. I’m not that crazy about his work. I don’t want Steven Spielberg doing it either, he would ruin, Star Wars.

They shouldn’t pick a big name director for Star Wars. They should pick an unknown director, who is new to film making. Pick someone who doesn’t know a lot about the Star Wars universe ’cause that helps makes the movie good when a director is not much of a fan.

Happy 67th Birthday, Mr. Neil Young…

Neil Young celebrates his 67th birthday today. 2012 is quite a year for Neil. He has released three different projects in one year. I don’t know how he does it at this age, but the man keeps himself busy. Neil has released two different albums with Crazy Horse this year, “Americana”, and “Psychedelic Pill”. He also released his memoir, “Waging Heavy Peace”. Neil is always working. The man just doesn’t stop. Which is part of why he gets my respect.

I love Neil. He’s a huge inspiration and a hero to me. Thanks Neil, and thanks for what you do. Here are several of my favorite Neil Young songs in the videos below. Seriously, I’m a huge fan of Neil. He’s a phenomenal singer and guitarist. He’s a good guy and honest. He treats his career in a positive note. Too many reasons why he gets my respect. I’ll always stay loyal to Neil. I just hope to get my chance to see him in concert or even better, meet the man in person.

Enjoy.

When stars gets criticized for their weight… Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lawrence, Christina Aguilera and the list goes on…

I find it total bullshit that these women are getting picked on because of their weight issues in the media. Some of you know that pop stars like Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera are being picked on for their weight. Actress Jennifer Lawrence, is now a target for her weight gain. Why? Who cares if these women get fat? There are tons of other stars that are much fatter than them. Lady Gaga once said, “Adele is much fatter, how come people don’t pick on her?” I agree.

How come Rosie O’ Donnell or Queen Latifah don’t get criticized for being a fat pig? What about Roseanne Barr?

Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lawrence and Christina Aguilera gets picked on the most, why? It’s because of their celebrity status. They’re big icons and they’re everywhere.

People don’t pick on Adele because everyone thinks she’s beautiful. What gives people the right to criticize how these women look? Those three women I listed in the titles, don’t look fat at all. How come nobody picks on Madonna when she’s stripping on stage at her concerts, and she exposes her flabby and wrinkly skin? Blech.

The media, I tell ya. People should believe in these women for the entertainment they give us, but with the way pop culture is today, the media and the press will do anything to make these women look bad, just to make money off of them. It is not a good time to be rich and famous. Fame can easily ruin you, if you’re not careful.

About Obama and Operation: F&F, I think I understand now…

After doing a little reading on “Operation: Fast and Furious”, on how Obama is a huge part of this controversial story, there is a lot of speculation, that Obama may have been responsible for this. Obama may have started “Operation: Fast and Furious”, under the order of Eric Holder. Although this is not definite yet, it’s just speculation right now. Holder seems to be protecting himself and Obama, and covering things up.

What “Operation: Fast and Furious” is, (I’m sure some of you already know what it is, but I’m explaining anyway, just to show you I know what it is), is that the ATF ran a series of gunwalking sting operations. They were done under, Project Gunrunner. The goal was to sell a large number of guns to Mexican drug cartels. Selling weapons to illegal straw buyers. This has led to a lot of gun violence which killed, US Border Patrol Agent, Brian Terry.

There is also a lot of speculation of what the intention was for “Operation: F&F”. Some say it was an attempt for Obama to get rid of the 2nd Amendment laws ’cause we all know that Obama has never been gun friendly.

Mitt Romney, already called Obama out for “Operation: F&F” during the 2nd President Debate, but Obama just ignored it. He just sat there and smiled. Kind of shows that he knew exactly what Mitt was talking about and what Obama was up to. It was an evil smile. Kind of like a, “You better shut your mouth” kind of smile.

A lot of people say that the “Operation: F&F” was started by the Bush Administration, but those claims were made by Obama himself and people believed him. Obama is an evil madman, and he should be impeached and arrested. Not just for “F&F”, also for many other bad things he did in the past. Action needs to be taken, before Obama continues to do more bad things and kill more innocent people within the next 4 years in office.

About Anti-Obama discussion…

I probably won’t give it up, because after thinking about it a while, I feel it is important to let people know that this guy is not to be trusted, and I want to help people realize that they voted for the wrong guy.

As for all this birther stuff, Donald Trump wasn’t the first to bring it to people’s attention. He only helped bring it to people’s attention to a wider scale. People have been questioning Obama’s birthplace and investigating his birth certificate for many years. Even at the start of his presidency, if you give it a search. So that is pretty much nothing new. I’ve been researching this myself, and I found that Obama has been pretty open to being born from Kenya up until 2007 and then he concealed the records. Also, Obama even admitted he was born from Kenya a few times even when he is President, if you do a youtube search and even Michelle admitted to it once. I’ll post the videos soon.

As for that Facebook image, on what makes Obama evil, I’ll do more reading into that stuff too. I’ll read more into “Operation: F&F”, ’cause there is a reason Obama was brought into that. Everyone knows why Obama is a target in “Fast and Furious”. I just need to learn for myself, ’cause I am finding the topic interesting.

We know very little about our President and he is hard to be trusted. He may appear to be a nice guy, but if you read between the lines, he isn’t. He’s an expert manipulator and liar. He’s not the lesser of the two evils for sure. Romney maybe a little crazy and whacked, but that doesn’t make him evil. Obama caused more deaths and murders on innocent people than any other president in history. If that’s not evil, I don’t know what it is. There is even talk that Obama may have killed, Andrew Breitbart. What is Obama planning to do with that US drone that Iran tried to strike down?

I plan on seeing, “2016: Obama’s America” soon, when I get it in the mail from Netflix, next week.

I’m leaving the comments closed ’cause I don’t feel like arguing or debating, with stupid idiots who think they know so much about, Obama. Just wanted to rant a little bit.

Film Review: Skyfall

Starring: Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem

Directed by: Sam Mendes

Today, I’ve just seen the newest installment to the 007 franchise, “Skyfall”, and here is my review:

Plot/synopsis: Bond needs to investigate a terrorist attack, in which a large explosion occurred, at SIS Headquarters, where MI6’s (Judi Dench), offices are. Bond discovers that Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem) who was a former MI6 operative was responsible for the attack. Top secret information about NATO agents was stolen from M16’s hard drive, and Silva has a connection to that information.

For the past 10 years or so, the 007 franchise has been making terrible James Bond flicks. The 007 flicks, continuously gets mixed reviews by fans and critics, but did I think this one was good??? I think the 007 franchise finally redeemed themselves, this time. The pacing may have been pretty slow, but keep in mind, not all movies have to focus on the action alone. Everyone expects the James Bond movies to be fun, and action packed, but really, the James Bond movies are about the story. They are about Bond’s life, and survival. Revenge, kind of stuff and hunting down people responsible for doing terrible things. Yes, the action and violence has always been an important part of the Bond franchise, but that has always been secondary. Story, goes first. They just add in the sexy Bond girls, for the entertainment.

Some say the story was weak, but I thought it was pretty intelligent and masterful. It kept me guessing toward the end. The plot had some twists and turns. The pacing may have been kind of slow at first, but it was meant to be. There was a reason that the first half of the movie was nothing but acting and dialogue, and the second half was mostly violent action scenes. When it did come to the violent action scenes, it was a blast to watch, and the violence were pretty gritty too. I thought the visuals of the movie were pretty impressive. It was different than any other Bond film from the past for sure.

As far as Javier Bardem’s, Silva character goes, he was the most menacing Bond villain as well. While there was some humor in this guy, you also want to hate him at the same time. He can be a pretty likeable villain at first but as the film goes along, you’ll realize how evil this guy can be, and you would be scared to meet him. Javier Bardem played a lot of villains in movies over the years, and he does a good job as usual. I think he has Oscar nomination potential for this role. “Skyfall” isn’t an Oscar worthy film, just Javier’s performance alone, deserves a nod.

There were surprising return characters of Q, and Eve Moneypenny (A famous Bond girl, who appeared in many Bond films, played by different actresses).

Some complained that there were less gadgets in this film, than the previous Bond films. Did they see the same film, I did? There were plenty of gadgets in “Skyfall”. Maybe not futuristic looking electronic gadgets, but old fashioned gadgets when Bond and M hid in that old home toward the end of the movie (not trying to give spoilers).

I thought the movie was very intense. It was the perfect 50th Anniversary, Bond film. This is definitely not the best Bond film ever made, but is the best Bond movie made since the past 10 years or a little more. I would say this is the best Bond film since, “The Living Daylights”. This is also one of the best films of 2012. Whether you’re a Bond fan or not, you should check this one out. It’s a perfect introduction to the character, if you’ve never seen the earlier films. You don’t need to watch the first two Daniel Craig, Bond films, ’cause “Skyfall” is a standalone movie. Not a sequel to “Quantum of Solace”.

Score for “Skyfall” = **** (4 stars as in “Excellent”)

That’s why I hate politics discussion, because people can be nothing but assholes…

This is part of the big reason why I’m thinking about giving up politics discussion. I have a different opinion on things, and even try to back things up with some pretty valid facts, all people will want to do is argue and argue and argue. Fuck off. The other guy will want to think they’re right all of the time.

It’s pretty insane to me that too many people will defend their hero, Obama, and they actually trust a guy that they don’t even know well.

Obama is not a good guy. Do your research and you would see why, but of course, people think he’s a good guy and ignore all the bad things he had done in the past, and he will continue to do bad things in the future. I haven’t seen the film yet, but if you want some insight on who Obama really is, watch the film “2016: Obama’s America”. I have the film on my Netflix Que and will be getting it in the mail next week. Looking forward to seeing it, ’cause that film will have the proof and evidence on who he is and what he is planning to do with our country.

No more politics discussion for a long while. I’ve had it. If you don’t like my views on things in the political world, well, here’s a big middle finger to you.

One day you’re gonna realize that Obama is an evil madman who shouldn’t be president, and when you do, you’ll think to yourself, “Damn, maybe Kev was right. I shouldn’t have voted for that guy”.

I never saw music as a career. I saw music as a way of life for me…

I really believe that certain bands & musicians take themselves way too serious with the music thing. I understand that bands that want to get heard by as much people as possible and get themselves out there, but to me, I never really cared. I never really cared about the “rock star” thing ’cause there’s no such thing when you’re just a local musician, ya know? Bands are spending thousands of dollars on albums, studio time, expensive music video production, merchandise, etc. Crazy, I tell ya. They want to make themselves look great with all that promotional material. I could do all that with my own music, sure, but being a local musician, you don’t really need to. All that rock star stuff is great, don’t get me wrong, but the point is, if you want to get yourself out there, all you need is just you and your instrument. That’s pretty much it. You can still get a decent following and get some popularity with your music even without all that stuff. Even if you don’t get popularity or the recognition, you want. Who cares, right?

Music is a way of life. Playing guitar and writing songs helps me become a better person I am today. It helps me get through the good times and bad times, in life. Music makes me happier and is a good stress reliever. Music should not be about whether other people like your stuff or hate it. It’s all about you. You have to believe in yourself as a musician. I don’t need to make albums and go on lengthy tours. I don’t really need to be signed to some stupid label.

Just enjoy the love of music. That’s it. That’s the biggest reason I do this for, is because I love music whether listening to it or playing my own music. I just write songs or play gigs when ever I want to. I play gigs sometimes ’cause I love performing in front of an audience. Music should be about the passion and not being at the center of everyone’s attention. Of course, people don’t look at music that way anymore.

I could have a big music career if I wanted, but I don’t care to. If I get asked to sign for a big label, I would probably turn it down. Not really my thing, ya know? Music is a good pass timer, and helps keep me busy. I don’t really do much in my life, and pretty much the only thing I do, is play guitar. I don’t feel ashamed of it, either. Music is what keeps me alive and strong. The delusions of musicians can get pretty crazy. A lot of them want to think they’re so great and something special. I never had that kind of attitude. Just enjoy yourself.

As far as songwriting goes, I have been messing around with stuff on guitar, but haven’t started writing new lyrics yet. Gonna soon. I promise new songs will be coming. Sorry for the delay on those.

Cool Video: Former supermodel, Brooke Burke, announced she has thyroid cancer…

Former supermodel, actress, and “Dancing With the Stars” winner, Brooke Burke, revealed she has thyroid cancer. Straight from the woman herself in the video below.

It’s a shame, ’cause she’s always been one of my favorite supermodels. She’s been in Playboy, and many other nude magazines, I remember.

She’s still looking beautiful as hell! Wow!

I wish her well and hope she fights it!

“Snow White and the Huntsman”… brief thoughts…

Last night, I finally got around to watching, “Snow White & The Huntsman”. It wasn’t as bad people made it out to be. The film did a pretty good job following the Snow White fairy tale. The visuals and cinematography were pretty impressive. I thought the action scenes were fun. Charlize Theron, made a pretty good Evil Queen, I thought she was menacing enough. Pretty much the only thing I don’t like about it, is the casting of Kristen Stewart. If they replaced her with a better actress and someone who is better to look at, the movie would have been perfectly fine.

Other than that, the movie was actually pretty good. Nothing I’ll watch over and over again, though. So I won’t bother buying the Blu-Ray. It is worth watching, the first time, though. Glad I never saw it in theater. This was a Netflix DVD rental, by the way.
