Big 4 show tonight at Yankee Stadium, will Lou Reed make an appearance tonight during the Metallica set???

Well, the huge Big 4 show at Yankee Stadium is tonight. The same bands on the lineup that includes: Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica are all playing tonight at Yankee Stadium.

Will Metallica surprise all of us by inviting Lou Reed to jam with them on a few songs? Will Metallica and Lou Reed play a few songs from their upcoming album, “Lulu” tonight, or even the full album in it’s entirety on stage? Wouldn’t surprise me if that happens.

I’ll be on the lookout for youtube videos of this concert  tomorrow, you’ll know they’ll be all over youtube sooner or later.

BREAKING NEWS: Sly Stallone, the man himself, finally confirms JCVD and Chuck Norris are in, “The Expendables”, sequel!!!!

For a long while now, it’s been long rumored that Jean Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris could possibly star, in “The Expendables” sequel. Well, Sly Stallone the man himself, confirms to “Entertainment Weekly”, that the two action stars are indeed in the film.

Chuck Norris, has been on a Hollywood hiatus lately, as he hasn’t done anything since his direct to video movie, “The Cutter“, in 2005.

Sly reveals that he’s in a major fight scene with Jean Claude in, “The Expendables”, so this means, Jean Claude is a bad guy? That’s what it’s sounding like!!!

Sly also adds that Nicolas Cage, and John Travolta also has roles, possibly.

Nice! Hope this movie will be much better than the first one. What UFC and WWE stars will they get for this movie? It wouldn’t surprise me if they go after Dwayne Johnson or Triple H. I would rather see Triple H in this movie, than Dwayne though. I can definitely see Triple H in the Expendables group.

Book Review: “The Girl Who Played With Fire” by Steig Larsson

So today, I just finished reading the novel, “The Girl Who Played With Fire” by Stieg Larsson, which is the sequel to, “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”.

The story is about Mikael Blomkvist, who is now publisher of Millennium magazine and he was hired to write a story about, “sex trafficking” and abuse with underage girls. He was hired by a man named, Dag Svensson, who was murdered along with his partner. Lisbeth Salander’s guardian, Nils Bjurman was also murdered. Lisbeth was framed for these murders and Mikael tries to help out his friend who is innocent. In this novel, Lisbeth now hates Mikael and wants nothing to do with him, which makes the investigation even more difficult.

Enough with the plot, on with my thoughts. This book is even better than the first! When they say it’s a stay up all night, hard to put down read, it sure is. It only took me about several days to read this book even though it was a little over 700 pages, on paperback.

The story immediately grabs you once you start reading on the first page. The book is more violent and more graphic, then “Dragon Tattoo’. Lisbeth is even more pissed off and dangerous. Larsson did a great job on getting the reader thinking that Lisbeth committed those murders , when she really didn’t. This book went even deeper into her past, which “Dragon Tattoo” never did. Her past became more darker and there are some big shockers.

This book makes you want to feel like you know this, Lisbeth Salander character, even though she’s a fictional character, it makes you feel like she’s a real person. People see her as crazy, insane and dangerous from the first book, “Dragon Tattoo”, but in “Played With Fire”, Larrson wants to let his readers know that Salander has her own reason to be that way. She’s not as bad as she seems. All she’s doing is trying to protect herself because of her past.

It was a great read and the best one of the trilogy so far. I will buy, “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest”, the final book some other time. I am next reading “The Lost Symbol” by Dan Brown.

New batch of songs coming???

Yeah I know, it’s been a long while since a new batch of original songs from the Brock. I’m trying really hard, really am. To be honest, I’ve been totally focused on learning how to become a better guitar player than a songwriter. I’ve been focused on trying to get better at lead guitar, but I’m thinking of writing a few songs so I can practice improvising guitar solos over my own work.

I’ll get back into songwriting again soon, I promise you that. It’s just that I’ve been spending a lot of time trying to sharpening up my guitar skills a little bit. I’ve grown tired of playing simple and basic things, wanted to learn more complex stuff.

New songs will be coming soon, I hope. I never gave up music.
