I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.
Controversial Alf footage have been leaked to the web. They are just bloopers. Actors and film crew joking around on camera. Well here is a bloopers reel that have never made it on DVD for obvious reasons. Alf snorting cocaine off a desk, saying, “Goddamn hoodoo” after messing up a line, saying “Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, N**R, N**R, N**R”, calling a film crew guy an asshole, trying to get laid with Lynn Tanner, etc. I would imagine this footage was meant to be kept locked up and stored away, but of course, I bet someone stole it and leaked it to the web to try and make Alf, look bad.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not offended by this stuff at all. They’re just joking around and having some fun. I think the film crew got bored with a family friendly Alf, and they wanted him to go all obscene for laughs. I thought it was pretty fucking funny and had a good laugh watching this. LOL! Enjoy!
Ever since the “Dark Tower” movie and TV series hav been announced by Ron Howard, fans have been naming their picks on who to play Roland “The Gunlsinger” Deschain. Look like Ron Howard himself have been reading the internet, catching up on this stuff. In an interview with the LA Times, Ron Howard knows about fans naming, Viggo Mortensen, as the most popular choice. Even though Ron Howard, never said anything about wanting to get Viggo for the role, Ron did seem very interested, and even agreed with the fans with their choice.
Ron seems like a good guy. Seems like he supports the fans and knows what they want. Hope Ron can actually get Viggo. Viggo is not a bad choice and he would be the best one for Roland Deschain, honestly. Lets hope they hire Viggo for the role.
I am very excited for this news. I’m such a huge Tomb Raider fan, that’s another why I got the PS3 since the Tomb Raider series are for Playstation only. Crystal Dynamix, announced they will re-release the new Tomb Raider trilogy: “Tomb Raider: Legend”, “Tomb Raider: Anniversary” and, “Tomb Raider: Underworld”. They will be re-released in HD versions. The Tomb Raider trilogy will hit stores on March 22nd, in 2011.
I’ll definitely be buying the new trilogy. Even though I already own, “Tomb Raider: Underworld” and played it, I want to see what that game will be like in HD. I never got to play the older Tomb Raider games and I’m glad I’ll get to soon.
I never played the classic Tomb Raider games from the PS1, but you can download the classics from the PSN Store which I will do soon. I love Lara Croft. Not just for the video game character, it’s just that these games are so fun. I love solving puzzles and things like that.
I also think, the reason they are re-releasing the entire trilogy is because this could be a hint that they have plans for a Tomb Raider 4??? Probably.
The official Dead Space facebook page, reports that the demo for “Dead Space 2” is available for download for Xbox live and for the Playstation Network later at 4 p.m. today.
As a huge fan of the “Dead Space” game, I’m really looking forward to the second one. These games are amazing. They are dark, creepy and the gameplay is such a blast. I’ll be downloading the demo later this evening for the PS3, looking forward to trying it out! I know I’m going to like it.
Are you just dying to see Pee Wee Herman, live in Broadway, but you aren’t able to get tickets and can’t go? Not too worry! HBO just scored a deal to air the Pee Wee’s Playhouse Broadway show live on Jan. 2nd. Be sure to mark your calendars and get your DVR’s ready. I’m definitely watching this!
As the article said, it was HBO that helped make the debut of Pee Wee Herman, 30 years ago. That was long before Paul Reubens fame and fortune. He was an unknown back then. Then Tim Burton got him for “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure”.
Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Amy Adams
Directed by: David O’ Russell
So today, I decided to go see the movie, “The Fighter”. Finally saw it, and here is my review:
Plot/Synopsis: The movie tells the real life story of professional boxers, Dicky Ecklund (Christian Bale) and Micky Ward (Mark Wahlberg). Dicky Ecklund is a retired boxer who’s last fight was against boxing legend, Sugar Ray Leonard. Dicky’s sparring partner, Micky Ward, dreams of becoming a fighter himself. At first, Micky trains on his own terms, he made a vow to never train with his half-brother, Dicky. Micky falls in love with a woman named, Charlene (Amy Adams), while his brother, Dicky falls into trouble with drugs, alcohol and serves some prison time. Micky continues to fight in matches and hopes to become welterweight champion.
I saw this movie because I like boxing films. I will always think the Rocky movies are the best boxing films, but “The Fighter” was a really good one. “The Fighter” was very similar to Rocky in a way. The film, “The Fighter” was shot in low budget cameras, the only big name stars in the film are obviously Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and Amy Adams, but the rest of the cast were unknowns. This film have been getting nothing but positive reviews all over the place. I haven’t seen anything negative about the film. People were saying that Mark Wahlberg should get Best Actor for this role. To be honest with you, I didn’t think Mark Wahlberg’s acting in this movie was Oscar worthy. I was more impressed with Christian Bale’s acting. Throughout the film, I had my eye on Christian Bale the whole time, that’s how amazing he was. I’ve seen Christian in so many other films, but his acting has always been the same in other films, but not this one. Christian’s acting was so different in this movie, “The Fighter”. I’m willing to bet Christian rehearsed his ass off and did some acting coaching for this role. Mark is a good actor, don’t get me wrong, but if Christian wasn’t in this film, then the movie would be boring. Christian didn’t make this movie boring. He made it fun. So I think Christian will definitely get the Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for this movie. I don’t even think Mark Wahlberg will get nominated for this one.
I thought the story was pretty intense and had some pretty emotional scenes. A few things I didn’t care for in the film was the Eklund brother’s mother, Alice, and the sisters wasn’t needed, but other than that, I loved the movie overall. The movie is taken place during the 70’s-80’s, back in the days when wireless phones, the internet, cell phones and flat screen TV’s weren’t around. So the film stayed true to that. Sugar Ray Leonard himself, made a cameo appearance in the film, yes, the real Sugar Ray. Amy Adams isn’t nude in the film but she does show a lot of cleavage and she does have one scene where she was wearing nothing but bra & panties. Amy’s acting in the film, was okay, but her performance is not Oscar worthy.
The fights were fun, realistic and made them believable. Is “The Fighter” the best movie of the year, 2010? It was really good, but definitely not the best of the year. I still have to see “True Grit” and “Tron 3D” sometime after Christmas. After I see those two films, then I’ll make my decision on what the best film of the year is.
Score for “The Fighter” = **** (4 stars as in “excellent”)
We all know that Christopher Nolan is hard at work at both Batman and Superman films for Warner Bros. but why has he been quiet on both films, you wonder? I think he’s keeping secrets and surprises from us that we shouldn’t know about yet.
So far, Chris has told us:
Superman – Zack Snyder has been hired director. Story will focus on the earlier days of Superman, mostly about Clark Kent. It will not be a remake of the earlier films and won’t be adapted from the comics of any kind.
Batman – Tom Hardy is set to play a main character, but didn’t say whether he will be playing a villain or a good guy character. There will be two female roles, one for female villain and the other for Bruce Wayne’s love interest. Several actresses have already been lined up for the actress roles. The film will also not be in 3-D. The Riddler will not be the villain.
That’s all the information we know so far.
Movie news will be slow around the Holiday season, so I’m sure Chris will tell us more in 2011, the new year. We still need to know the plots for both films and who the villains will be. We will know all that stuff soon. I know, I hate how they are not giving us more news, but it’s understandable, it’s hollywood.
So I stayed up late last night and watched the whole episode of SNL that Jeff Bridges hosted. I was impressed with the show. It was really good. Saturday Night Live used to suck balls, big time. Which is why I stopped watching for a long while, but SNL were on FIRE last night. It was such a good show, I wasn’t bored and they didn’t make me fall asleep. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time either. Jeff Bridges did a great job as expected. The Cookie Monster appearance was golden. I was expecting John Goodman to appear as Walter from the “Big Lebowski” movie but that didn’t happen sadly. Other than that, it was such a great show. The segments were really good. Especially the Miley Cyrus show which they made fun of her bong controversy, The Kardashian impersonators was a really good scene, and I liked the Weekend Update.
Best of all, I loved the Eminem and Lil Wayne performances. They were so good and amazingly tight. I’m not into rap music much but Eminem and Lil Wayne, wow, they put on quite the show. I hope Lil Wayne stays out of trouble and stays out of jail ’cause he is talented. He did better than Eminem honestly. Even though I like Eminem, it seems to me that Lil Wayne should have been the musical guest alone. Rap music being performed with real instruments and a real back up band? That’s why that performance gets my respect. You can like rap music or hate it, you can’t deny the talent in Lil Wayne. There’s something special about that guy. That’s why Lil Wayne is in the headlines all the time.
This is such a great performance, I had goosebumps watching it. The performance was haunting. Congrats to Lourne Michaels and SNL gang, keep up the great work! Proud of you guys! 🙂
Last night on HBO, I watched the movie “The Blind Side” for the first time ever. I never saw it in theater and never saw it on DVD either. I waited this long to see it because I can’t stand Sandra Bullock. Don’t like her acting and don’t like her as a person either. Well, I guess I’ll have a change of heart with Sandra. I really was blown away by this movie and was blown away by Sandra’s acting, seriously. “The Blind Side” is a real life story, about NFL star, Michael Oher who plays for the Ravens. It tells the story of him as a kid growing up, homeless and tells how Leigh Anne Tuohy adopted him to be part of her family. She does her best to make his football dreams come true by giving him a better education and a better life.
After all those awards Sandra won for this role, I think they are well deserved. I understand why she won all of them awards now. I’ll admit that this was Sandra’s best role. Not only that, the movie is good over all. I know there have been a lot of football movies over the years, and this is the best one I’ve seen.
The story of Michael Oher, is pretty incredible stuff and I believe he is still playing for the Ravens to this day. The movie is really inspiring and it really makes me want to get my own copy of the DVD. Sandra really is perfect for the role as she is very similar to the real life Leigh Anne Tuohy. Watch these videos below of Sandra as Leigh Anne and the real Leigh Anne to see what I mean.
I was impressed with the film. 2 thumbs up for sure!
The main reason why I’m taking it all seriously, is because to simply get out of that pentatonic rut. I learned that you can not play the minor pentatonic scale over every piece of music. You probably could, yes, but it won’t sound as good and you need to be more creative and musical. I’m tired of playing the same minor pentatonic scale. I want to be able to play like my guitar heroes that I’ve always looked after: Jimmy Page, Hendrix, Clapton, Neil Young, etc. but to have my own style as well. I want to be able to play scales and modes. Learn all the 7 modes (Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian and Locrian). I’m learning how the chromatic and diatonic stuff works out with chords and all that stuff. The caged sequence, everything.
This is how the great guitarists are able to come up with their own style ’cause they know the theory stuff. Yeah, I do want to be a hot guitar player, not as in looks, as in hot musically if you know what I mean. Play with FIRE!!!! It’s one reason why this blog has been slowing down. I’ve been concentrating on more guitar. I’m used to playing electric more than acoustic now and it’s feeling really good. I love being an electric player.
