Should celebs stop talking about politics? Well keep in mind Donald Trump is a Hollywood celeb…

Mark Wahlberg and Gene Simmons are urging celebs to keep politics out of their careers. Do I agree with them? Well, not really to be honest with you. I think it’s actually good that celebs have a voice too like we do if you think about it. Whether a celeb has left-wing views or right-wing views, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Everyone wants to say that celebs should stay out of politics when they all don’t realize that Donald Trump is a Hollywood celeb. Trump is a billionaire who owns over 50 businesses in the United States… he has been a part of fame and Hollywood for over 30 years. Something to keep in mind, y’all. Plus, Trump had his share of being a part of Hollywood and films ’cause he has “The Apprentice/Celebrity Apprentice” TV show for starters. He has also had many cameo appearances in different movies over the years. Trump is a Hollywood celeb just like Ronald Reagan was. Remember, Reagan was a movie star before his presidency. So should celebs stop talking about politics? No. There are all kinds of music artists out there that talks politics in their songs especially Bob Dylan, Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, etc. I may not agree with their views but I think it’s good that celebs talk about politics. We should all be able to have different views and we don’t have to agree with them. If the American people has the right to talk about politics then celebs should have that right too.

On top of that hypocrite Gene Simmons shouldn’t lecture celebs on not talking about politics when that’s all he’s been doing for the past year or so. He talks a lot of politics too and Gene is also a celeb… so maybe you should shut it, Gene?

I think it’s good that celebs have a voice. There are plenty of celebs that support Donald Trump and they were the ones who helped Trump get elected like Scott Baio, Robert Davi, John Voight, Ted Nugent, etc. Without their help, Trump being president-elect wouldn’t have been possible. If you think about it, I think it’s good that left-wing celebs have a voice too. Political debates are good. I don’t see anything wrong with it. Celebs just want to speak their minds about this country too and I’m fine with it.

Mark Wahlberg is probably a Hillary voter himself, he’s just pissed that she lost so he’s trying to calm down his fellow liberal celebs…

I know it may sound exciting that Mark Wahlberg is trying to shut up those liberal Hollywood celebs but don’t get too all excited yet. I think Marky Mark is just doing this ’cause he’s probably a Hillary voter himself. He’s so pissed that she lost and he doesn’t want to publicly admit that he voted for her or his career would be destroyed. Now he’s just trying to calm down his fellow libtard celebs out there. I think he’s just trying to help save their careers. Marky Mark is a libtard himself if you read between the lines. They’re still pissed that they lost.

Film Review: Lone Survivor

Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster, Eric Bana

Directed by: Peter Berg

Today, I just saw the film, “Lone Survivor” and here is my review…

Plot/synopsis: This film tells the real life story of a failed mission called, “Operation Red Wings”, in which four Seal Team 10 members are ordered to kill the Taliban leader, Ahmad Shahd in Afghanistan. It also tells the real life story of  Seal member, Marcus Luttrell (who also helped wrote the book).

Peter Berg who is famous for creating “Friday Night Lights” may have been making bad movies lately but I think he redeemed himself, this time. I was totally blown away with, “Lone Survivor”. Most new war movies are silly and not very good but finally Peter Berg makes an excellent one! This have got to be the best war film since, “Saving Private Ryan” (sorry about that, Kathryn Bigelow).

This film gives you a realistic look on what Navy Seal battles are all about. The director may have done his homework before making this film and did lots of research. The battles in this film were graphic, intense and terrifying. It wants to give you a better look on what Seals go through during war. To give you an idea of what war is like today in Afghanistan. War today is pretty much the same as all other wars in the past. Peter Berg did a great job on staying accurate and faithful to Navy Seals.

The performances of everybody in the cast was amazing. They all did a good job but I was most impressed with Mark Wahlberg and I think he may finally get his Oscar for this role. Everything else about the film was just perfect too: the script, camera work, musical score/soundtrack, etc. Warning though, the film can get quite graphic and very intense. It’s also a very sad film so be sure to have something to wipe your eyes with when you go to the theater to see this.

The action scenes may have been well done and may have been fun to watch but I believe this movie wasn’t made to entertain you. Like I said, it wants to give a realistic look of what it’s like fighting in a war today. War is unpredictable. You’ll never know what will happen. There maybe good guys vs. badguys but you’ll never know who’ll win, who will get injured or even killed. A soldier can fight even when going through the worse injuries you’ve ever seen… it doesn’t matter if they have a missing leg or missing fingers. You’ll see all that stuff in this film. So you WILL see some major gross-outs that will make you wanna look away from the screen.

There are mixed emotions however… some of this film can be enjoyable, heartfelt, sad, scary, and even funny (yes, there’s a little bit of comedy in this film). This film already has Oscar written all over it. It maybe too late for this film to make this year’s Oscars but definitely next year in 2015. If this film doesn’t win, “BEST PICTURE” for 2015 or even a nomination, then I won’t support the Oscars anymore.

Every American needs to see this important film… doesn’t matter if you’re liberal, conservative, libertarian or whatever party you are.

Two thumbs up for, “Lone Survivor”.

Film Review: The Fighter

Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Amy Adams
Directed by: David O’ Russell

So today, I decided to go see the movie, “The Fighter”. Finally saw it, and here is my review:

Plot/Synopsis: The movie tells the real life story of professional boxers, Dicky Ecklund (Christian Bale) and Micky Ward (Mark Wahlberg). Dicky Ecklund is a retired boxer who’s last fight was against boxing legend, Sugar Ray Leonard. Dicky’s sparring partner, Micky Ward, dreams of becoming a fighter himself. At first, Micky trains on his own terms, he made a vow to never train with his half-brother, Dicky. Micky falls in love with a woman named, Charlene (Amy Adams), while his brother, Dicky falls into trouble with drugs, alcohol and serves some prison time. Micky continues to fight in matches and hopes to become welterweight champion.

I saw this movie because I like boxing films. I will always think the Rocky movies are the best boxing films, but “The Fighter” was a really good one. “The Fighter” was very similar to Rocky in a way. The film, “The Fighter” was shot in low budget cameras, the only big name stars in the film are obviously Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and Amy Adams, but the rest of the cast were unknowns. This film have been getting nothing but positive reviews all over the place. I haven’t seen anything negative about the film. People were saying that Mark Wahlberg should get Best Actor for this role. To be honest with you, I didn’t think Mark Wahlberg’s acting in this movie was Oscar worthy. I was more impressed with Christian Bale’s acting. Throughout the film, I had my eye on Christian Bale the whole time, that’s how amazing he was. I’ve seen Christian in so many other films, but his acting has always been the same in other films, but not this one. Christian’s acting was so different in this movie, “The Fighter”. I’m willing to bet Christian rehearsed his ass off and did some acting coaching for this role. Mark is a good actor, don’t get me wrong, but if Christian wasn’t in this film, then the movie would be boring. Christian didn’t make this movie boring. He made it fun. So I think Christian will definitely get the Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for this movie. I don’t even think Mark Wahlberg will get nominated for this one.

I thought the story was pretty intense and had some pretty emotional scenes. A few things I didn’t care for in the film was the Eklund brother’s mother, Alice, and the sisters wasn’t needed, but other than that, I loved the movie overall. The movie is taken place during the 70’s-80’s, back in the days when wireless phones, the internet, cell phones and flat screen TV’s weren’t around. So the film stayed true to that. Sugar Ray Leonard himself, made a cameo appearance in the film, yes, the real Sugar Ray. Amy Adams isn’t nude in the film but she does show a lot of cleavage and she does have one scene where she was wearing nothing but bra & panties. Amy’s acting in the film, was okay, but her performance is not Oscar worthy.

The fights were fun, realistic and made them believable. Is “The Fighter” the best movie of the year, 2010? It was really good, but definitely not the best of the year. I still have to see “True Grit” and “Tron 3D” sometime after Christmas. After I see those two films, then I’ll make my decision on what the best film of the year is.

Score for “The Fighter” = **** (4 stars as in “excellent”)

Report: Mark Wahlberg, offered to play “The Crow” for re-boot…

It is reported that Mark Wahlberg have been offered to play the leading role and hero of the film, “The Crow”, for the re-boot.

More on the story, here.

Brandon Lee, the son of Bruce Lee, starred in the original “Crow” movie, which is where Brandon died in a gun accident while shooting an action scene on set. I thought the original, “Crow” movie was amazing, but the sequels after that, were really bad.

Honestly, I think the “Crow” re-boot is well deserved and needed ’cause it could go for another try. As long as they make it similar to the first one, make it dark, violent, and action packed, I’ll be happy. I think Mark Wahlberg is a perfect choice to play this hero. I can definitely see him in white face paint!

Report: Stallone and Mark Wahlberg planning film together?

Sly and actor Mark Wahlberg had lunch together in Beverly Hills. Mark brought along his son so he can hang out with Sly too. Sly showed off one of his hot new cars to Mark and his kid before entering the restaurant. Is this the reason that Sly and Mark are spending time together ’cause they are planning a film? Marky Mark to co-star in Rambo V? Or a different movie they are planning?

Cool Video: The real Sarah Palin DID IT!!!! She appeared on SNL last night!!!

The real Sarah Palin herself came on the show and confronted her enemy Tina Fey last night. Not only that, Mark Wahlberg himself showed up on set to confront his enemy Andy Samberg.

See it here:

Sarah also did the Weekend Update where she did a rap thing about Alaska, see it here (NOTE: This is the real Sarah Palin in Weekend Update, it’s not Tina Fey):

Know the stories in the news where Mark Walhberg didn’t like Andy Samberg impersonating him? Marky Mark is not a happy camper. (Don’t worry I know all this Samberg vs. Marky Mark is all scripted to hype up the “Max Payne” flick)

See it here:

Saturday Night Live was usual pretty lame but those three segments above I laughed the hardest, they were the best.

Enjoy.

“Max Payne” a live action film adapted from the hit video game was originally rated R by the MPAA, but the film’s director John Moore fought against the MPAA in court to get the rating that he wanted for the film, which is “PG-13”. John Moore successfully won the battle and was awarded the “PG-13” rating.

Max Payne looks like a pretty sweet movie. I’m probably gonna go see it. I hope it’s better than “Hitman”.

Report: Mark Wahlberg on “The Funky Bunch” reunion…not a fucking chance, he says..!!!

While Marky Mark Walhberg was in an interview with MTV to promote his latest movie “The Happening”, he was asked about reuniting his former music project “Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch” which he used to be a rapper back in those days.

Click here to see what Marky says about the Funky Bunch reunion:

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/06/12/mark-wahlberg-passes-on-funky-bunch-reunion-not-a-f-ing-chance-he-laughs/

Mark did a smart thing by not bringing the Funky Bunch back, he should stick to acting as he is better at that.
