Report: Robert Plant gives up rockin’ for good!

Robert Plant, wants to let Led Zeppelin and metal fans to know that the legendary singer no longer wants to rock hard. Yep, he is completely done with fronting hard rock bands whether it would be for Led Zeppelin or another project.

Robert plans to do different genres of music.

He feels he is getting too old for rock n’ roll, his ears aren’t taking it and he claims he can no longer sing the genre anymore like he used to in the 70’s and 80’s. Which is understandable, after years of Robert singing Zeppelin songs and other side projects, singing to high pitch screams and singing at high notes, he just can’t do that anymore. Why do you think Led Zeppelin had to lower down a few keys at the O2 reunion show a few years back?

Robert fails to say what genre he plans to stick to for the rest of his life but will he stick to folk music, country, bluegrass? Probably. I can see him doing jazz or blues down the road too.

I can’t blame, Robert, and I respect his decision.

John Paul Jones is still rockin’ and playing in bands like with Them Crooked Vultures. Jimmy Page hinted a comeback to music a while back but haven’t heard anything yet on what Pagey is planning on doing next. I’m pretty sure Jimmy Page will never give up hard rock music. Whatever project Jimmy Page does next, I’ll always support and looking forward to seeing what Jimmy would do next. I hope Jimmy don’t make us wait any longer. We want Jimmy Page back in the music world soon!

Thought: A Metallica and Megadeth supergroup collaboration needs to happen soon!

Now that the Metallica and Megadeth feud is finally over with, does that mean there is a possible collaboration in the works sometime in the future? I think it might be a possibility that members of Metallica and Megadeth could collaborate on a studio album together in a supergroup, but giving it a different band name.  I can definitely see it happening. Maybe James, Kirk, and Lars can do a side project with Dave Mustaine, Chris Broderick and bassist Dave Ellefson with a new studio album with original songs. I can see this supergroup doing a tour together, playing a mix of Metallica and Megadeth hits along with their new originals.

Maybe Metallica and Megadeth will discuss a project together when both bands are done touring.Metallica and Megadeth looked great together on stage at Sonisphere, so I think a supergroup between them would work.

Hey, if it worked for supergroups like Chickenfoot and Them Crooked Vultures, why not Metallica/Megadeth form a supergroup for an album and tour? Again, it’ll probably happen but it definitely won’t happen right away.

Cool Video: Dave Mustaine jams with his former rivalries at Sonisphere Big 4 show…

You want proof that Dave Mustaine buried the hatchet with all of the bands he feuded with in the past? He feuded with all 3 bands at the Sonisphere Big 4 show: Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax.

It is so amazing to see Dave Mustaine jam with Metallica again after all these years. I mean look at Dave on stage. He looks so happy and thrilled!

This is a great performance too!

This site will be my official site from this point on…

I’ve thought about making a different official site for my music only, but I think I’m just going to use this one. WordPress is my new home. I will find a domain name and could possibly name this site, “kbrocking.com” if it’s available.

The thing is about my upcoming songs I plan to do, I’m not just going to do songs on politics and war only ’cause that would be boring if I wrote nothing but war songs. I decided that I’m going to do something more creatively with my music. I will write songs about stuff going on in the news, celebrity gossip, the entertainment industry, etc. Write my thoughts on entertainment in song just like I do here in this site. I just want to write songs about real things.

I’m getting serious with music again and want to get back out there. Yes, playing gigs again. First, I need to write new songs  ’cause I don’t want to continue to play the old songs at every gig. I’m hoping to get a band going together someday in the future so I can start playing at the full band rock clubs like the Putnam Den, Northern Lights, and King’s Tavern in a full band setting. Before I start auditioning for musicians, again, I need to have new songs first. Then a studio to record in.

What studio will I go for? I’m thinking about going for Marc Fuller’s studio, Edie Road.

I feel more comfortable playing electric guitar more than acoustic to be honest. Which is what made me want to do the full band thing. So I can get my start in playing in a full band. Experiencing it like the rest of ’em. I’ve been a part of the local music scene for years and many of my musician friends out there are in bands. Everytime I see a local band show, makes me wish I had a band. That’s what inspired me to get that same idea. The Brock to start my own band!

I’ll make it happen, it’ll take some time.

Report: Sly on Jean Claude Van Damme, “We’re cool!”

Sly wants fans to know that he has no bad blood with Jean Claude Van Damme. After JCVD dropped a role of “The Expendables” movie, a heated feud broke out on the internet between the two action stars. It was claimed that the two action stars don’t get along too well.

On Sly’s twitter page…Sly tweeted:

By the way jvcd has been a buddy for years and what I say is friendly teasing. He is a great action star, a one off, an original..

So there you have it. Sly and JCVD officially have no personal hatred against each other in real life. All Sly has been talking about on his twitter page is making fun of Jean Claude.

Is this a hint that JCVD agreed to do the sequel? We’ll keep our fingers crossed for now. 😉

Report: James Cameron starts feud with “Piranha 3D” producer over criticism of 3D…

James Cameron did an interview with “Vanity Fair” magazine, slamming the new “Piranha 3D” film that just came out. James says that horror films of today shouldn’t be in 3D, and compares “Piranha 3D” to classic 80’s horror like Friday the 13th. It didn’t take long for the film makers of “Piranha 3D” to respond, because producer, Mark Canton fires back at James Cameron in an open letter.

Mark’s letter wasn’t nasty, there were no name calling as you can see, it was nicely written and professional. It’s just a polite way of saying to Jimmy Cameron to stop being an ego-driven douche.

I agree with Mark totally that Cameron didn’t invent 3D film. Cameron only helped bring 3D films back into the mainstream.

I don’t see this being the end of this feud as Cameron would probably respond back in the next couple of days.
