Thought: It’s way cool to see John Travolta back to work!

John Travolta have been making TV appearances lately. First he showed up on Jay Leno the other night and now he just appeared on Conan O’ Brien tonight. He’s out there promoting the movie, “Old Dogs”.

In TV interviews, there is not one mention about Jett’s death and all that extortion stuff he’s been through. It’s all been talk about movies and his film career.

John is looking more happier. You can still see a little sadness in his eyes, of course, but he’s definitely hanging in there.

I’m sure John will land another movie role soon and he will return to acting once he finishes with the promotion of “Old Dogs”. Hopefully he’ll sign to a new role soon.

I hope John’s next movie will be an action movie, next time or maybe a thriller where he plays a villain. I hope he doesn’t keep picking comedy or drama, I like John in action movies better.

Although, I did love his role in “Wild Hogs” though, that was a great flick. I don’t plan to see “Old Dogs” in theater, that I can wait for DVD on.

BREAKING NEWS: Alec Baldwin plans to quit acting in 2012…

Film actor and TV star, Alec Baldwin, announced some shocking news that he is quitting acting in, 2012. Is he serious or full of shit? Me, thinks he’s full of it. This guy claims his film career was a failure, but I disagree with him.

More on it here:

He claims his film career is not a box office success?

Hello, Alec, I think he’s delusional and just fucking with us, look at his box office mojo….

http://boxofficemojo.com/people/chart/?id=alecbaldwin.htm

He also claims that in order to become an actor, you must have the acting talent that drives the film?

I thought he was fantastic in “Hunt for the Red October” and “Glengarry Glenross”. Those two roles were amazing and delivered them. What would those movies be like if he wasn’t in them? Did you see his cameo in “Glengarry Glenross” when he’s yelling and screaming at a bunch of sales men? Great performance.

“The Hunt For the Red October” was his biggest role, so how could he call that a failure?

What about his role in, “The Departed” which is an Oscar winner and “Pearl Harbor” which is a box office hit?

He next stars in a film with Steve Martin and Meryl Streep, that film is getting big and getting a lot of recogntion as it already is. So how can he call his career a failure? Man he is so wrong.

I don’t think he’s quitting. Publicity stunt.

BREAKING NEWS: Paul Greengrass will not do “Bourne 4″…

Paul Greengrass, the director, who made, “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum”, has decided to drop out of directing, “Bourne 4”. Paul says he will still be involved with the film, however, but not as director.

Read more here at Variety:

This is kind of sad news and good news at the same time. Why sad? Because Paul did a brilliant job directing the last two movies. I think the Bourne trilogy is amazing, I love them all three of them. The good news, I think they will find a better director to make “Bourne 4” a more action packed film. It’s going to be interesting to see who they are going to pick as the next director.

They could even get Doug Liman back who directed the first one, “The Bourne Identity”, never know.

First photos of “Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of Dawn Treader” released…

The official “Chronicles of Narnia” facebook page released three photos from the new “Voyage of Dawn Treader” that is filming now.

I am a huge fan of the “Chronicles of Narnia” series, ’cause I love the books and loved the first two films that came out.

I’m really looking forward to this one. Now that these series aren’t owned by Disney anymore, expect more violence and more blood as well. Can’t wait for this!

Report: Neve Campbell gives the latest update on “Scream 4″…

Neve Campbell speaks on the latest for “Scream 4”. She says now the original cast is officially signed on, they still need to wait for a script to come in. So this means the plot and synopsis for “Scream 4” hasn’t been released to the public just yet.

I’m sure everyone is curious to see what the 4th one will be about. I’m also curious.

Report: “Back to the Future” soundtrack now available…

This is super cool, a limited edition only of the “Back to the Future” movie soundtrack is now available to order online. This is for the instrumental score only. It won’t have the songs by Huey Lewis and Chuck Berry.

Check it out here:

“Back to the Future” the first one anyways, is one of my favorite films ever. It’s such a classic and a great family film with perfection. Especially the film’s beautiful music score. It has the best scoring of film history.

Thought: How Tim Burton would be a perfect director for “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”…

Why would Tim Burton be a perfect choice of director for “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”? It’s very simple. His dark vision of his other films matches the same style as the Twilight series. Just watch films like “Edward Scissorhands”, “Sweeney Todd”, “Sleepy Hollow”, etc. They all have a similar vision to “Twilight”.

Not only that, Tim Burton also has a very huge dedicated following of young fans from tweens to young adults who follow Tim Burton’s movies. Tim Burton also has many full-grown adult fans as well.

If Tim Burton directs, “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”, he could bring all fans together which will be a film for all ages to enjoy. Imagine Tim Burton giving a cameo for Helena Bonham Carter his wife for “Breaking Dawn”, maybe even give Johnny Depp a small role as well.

I hope Summit Entertainment studios does the right thing and sign Tim Burton to direct the final installment. I’m positive Tim would make a very good Twilight movie and he would probably do the best job at it. It would be a mistake if Summit doesn’t get him.

Film Review: “Twilight Saga: New Moon”

Starring: Robert Pattison, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Michael Sheen

Directed by: Chris Weitz

Today I just saw the new Twilight movie, “New Moon” this afternoon, here is my review:

Plot/Synopsis: Leaving right off from the first film, Bella celebrates her 18th birthday after recovering from a vampire attack from the last movie. Edward Cullen, announces to Bella that he and his family are leaving Forks, Washington forever to avoid the dangers of getting killed by the evil Victoria and to keep Bella safe.

After Edward leaves Forks, Washington, Bella is alone and spends most of her time with Jacob Black. Jacob reveals that he is in a tribe of werewolves as he is a werewolf himself. He helps Bella repair a busted motorcycle so she can go and find Edward herself. Later, Bella, finds out that Edward is in Italy who is about ready to join an evil vampire clan called the Volturi which is led by Aro (played by Michael Sheen). Victoria and Carlyle who are evil vampires are also in the Volturi. Bella goes to Italy to try and stop him from joining.

My thoughts? This was definitely much better than the first. There is a major improvement. The movie pretty much followed the book, but as usual left out a lot of very important plot points that could have been added in the film.

The last “Twilight” film was too much of a tween romance film since it was made by a female director. With this one being made by a male director this time, Chris Weitz, this movie was definitely more aimed toward the adult male audience than female, in my opinion.

“Twilight: New Moon” was more darker, it stayed away from the romance stories, it only had a little bit. This one was more about survival. With this being a male director, there is an improvement in the writing, acting, directing style, better special effects and more action scenes and more violence.

The soundtrack was even better than the last too. This film didn’t over do the music of bands playing over the movie like the last one did.

I was very impressed with the acting of Michael Sheen as Aro. I know Twilight is never going to be Oscar worthy but if something was to be Oscar worthy, I think Michael Sheen is an Oscar worthy performance for a, Best Supporting Actor award. His acting was really fantastic and he played the best vampire role out of the entire Twilight cast. Knowing that Michael Sheen played a vampire from the “Underworld” series. The Volturi scenes was the best parts of the movie, in my opinion.

Only thing I’m disappointed in, from the book “New Moon”, there was a long part in the novel where Jacob Black’s father, Billy, explains everything in detail to Bella about how he and his tribe turned into werewolves, but that part wasn’t included in the film for whatever reason. The character of Billy Black wasn’t in the film all that much.

Also, in the novel, Bella discovers that Jacob Black is a werewolf on her own, but the movie didn’t have that. Instead, Jacob told her.

In this film, we get less Edward Cullen and more Jacob Black. Taylor Lautner is the leading star in this one, this time. I think Taylor Lautner is going to be a bigger star more than Robert Pattison. People would forget about Robert Pattison very quick ’cause I think Taylor just overshadowed his popularity.

“New Moon” did have a shocking ending and it did get the audience talking, mysteriously as the film got over with. The Twilight movies are improving as each one comes along and I hope they make the next one, “Eclipse”, a great one also where people won’t give the films negative reviews.

Other than that, I absolutely loved, “Twilight Saga: New Moon”. Brilliant flick. Great job, Chris.

Score for “Twilight Saga: New Moon” = **** (4 stars as in “Excellent”)
