Thought: The egos and delusional people in twitter, I’m not talking about famous people either…

I love how non-famous people, real people like me pretend to act like they are famous people in twitter. You see, twitter isn’t going to make you famous. If you think that site is going to make you famous, what kind of fantasy world are you living in?

Yes, I know that twitter is very popular with real celebrities in twitter and that’s what drove real people like me to register to that site, hoping it would make non-famous people become famous, but that’s never going to happen.

If you want fame, the internet is not going to do that for you. Sometimes the internet does make people famous like Chris Crocker, Tay Zonday, Tila Tequila, etc. but it rarely happens. If the internet ever made people famous, it would do nothing but made you look bad, in a gossipy kind of way, and I don’t think you would want to be famous that way.

If you want fame for the music or whatever career you do, stop dreaming.

The only way to be looked at as a famous person in twitter is you must have a “verified account” which most celebrities in twitter have. “Verified accounts” just proves it is actually them running their page.

Twitter is not going to give you fame and that’s the truth. I registered to it, just for fun. Nothing more.

Cool Video: This is the funniest thing Jimmy Fallon has done in a long time…

Jimmy Fallon is never really all that funny, but he did something on his show that actually made me laugh pretty hard. It was hilarious.

Jimmy pretends to be Billy Ray Cyrus and raps about “not being a twitter quitter”.

Report: Celebrities ruining Twitter? Hollywood think they own that site?

As we all know, Twitter is very popular with famous celebrities. Yes, many of those celeb accounts in Twitter is really them posting. They post pictures in their “twitpics” to prove it’s really them posting in their accounts.

Celebs are hogging twitter over regular people who are NOT famous like me who like to use that site. Yes, Twitter is a good promotional tool for whatever career you do, and it maybe fun to tweet about what goes on in your personal life but you must use it responsibly just like you use any other site or chat room on the world of the internets.

Notice when regular people like me who are not famous, try to reply to a famous celeb in Twitter, they don’t reply back. Why is this? Because celebs are living in their own worlds and a lot of them are delusional. They won’t reply to anybody unless you’re a famous celeb yourself. They only reply to other celebs, not you.

Twitter is kind of a cool site, but I only signed up for it, so I can tweet about what’s going on with me of what I don’t post in my blog. I didn’t sign up for it ’cause I think I’m a “celebrity” when I know I’m not. I signed up for it, ’cause I think it would be cool to write things in very short sentences. Plus, I signed up for it to follow celeb pages for laughs.

Becoming a famous celebrity for my online presence will never happen for me, I’ll explain why…

I know some folks out there would like to see me get some national recognition for my online web presence, like ya know, become famous for it or something but you have to be realistic about these things that fame isn’t an easy thing to get. I am flattered that some people would like to see me get big and famous for my internet personality. I just don’t think it’ll ever happen, at all.

National recognition would be nice, I would like it too but looking at the reality side of things, fame is a tough world out there. I don’t think I can handle it.

First off, I would need an agent/lawyer. An agent/lawyer would get my name out there in the national world of media and agents are pretty pricey. Plus, an agent is useful because if you become famous for blogging, you’ll have to worry about other celebrities threatening to sue you for the things you write about them (ask Perez Hilton, he knows). Agents can also help you get good opportunities like appear on talk shows, etc. Things like that.

Secondly, I would need a publicist. They are also very expensive to hire. Publicist are the type of people that helps promotes you in the media, they help the news media write things about you and that’s how you would get in the news.

Thirdly, I would also have to move to a huge city. A huge celebrity city like New York City or Los Angeles, so I can be near hollywood media. Guess what, those cities are very expensive to move to.

I can’t afford to get fame and I don’t think I can handle “celebrity”.

I prefer being a minimum waged loser in a small town enjoying life. On top of that, I let my internet presence become public as a way to express myself. I enjoy talking about movies, celebrities, music, etc. This is my way of discussing my views and opinions going on in Hollywood publicily.

To those other bloggers out there that have popular internet presences, don’t ever expect to get fame for it. You’re not a celebrity, never was, you’re just a regular person expressing yourself online.

Perez Hilton and Harvey Levin are famous for what they do online because of the area that they live in, Los Angeles.

Advice to other bloggers, don’t worry about the fame, just be proud of what you do now and keep at it. I don’t think I’ll ever be a Perez and TMZ. I’m not even in their league.

My blog is just my very own little space, my own little message  board where I can have my own place to speak on entertainment. This is my way of keeping away from other blog comments, message boards, etc. I have my own place here. In other websites they call them, “talkbacks”, well this is my own talkback.

I don’t care about fame, just a regular guy enjoying what I do, blogging about entertainment news.

Report: David Fincher to direct, “Facebook – The Movie”…

David Fincher is in talks to direct, “Facebook – The Movie”, a film that will focus on the beggining of the social networking website. The film will actually be titled, “The Social Network”.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118005289.html?categoryid=13&cs=1

The film will probably have Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook creator in the film played by a different actor.

Here is Mark here:

Mark is just a young kid, in his late 20’s I believe. So a young actor would have to play him.

Fincher would probably go for Jake Gyllenhaal to play him. Fincher already worked with Gyllenhaal once in “Zodiac”, I’ll bet your money he’ll get Jake for this too.

What’s next? Will Hollywood do a movie on “Myspace” and “Twitter”?

RANT: More on myspace music…on how it doesn’t do anything to your so called music career…

I’ve heard from unsigned bands and songwriters all over the world, that they claim that myspace helps their music get heard, get success and become more popular. The thing I have to ask is, really? Does myspace really helps unsigned bands and artists get to the next level? The way I see it, myspace doesn’t do anything.

When I used have my myspace music account up, I used to think that myspace was going to help me get to the next level by hoping to get signed to some small indie label or some sort. Never happened.

I’ve been noticing that a lot of bands and artists would add as much people as they possible can, just so they can make themselves look popular.  They would add as much other bands as possible, they would add as much hot looking women to their pages as possible, etc. I used to do the same thing when I had my music account up. Does this really make you a popular musician? Bands also like to treat myspace friends like fans when in reality they only added you for their own networking. Many people could give a rats ass about you, or your music.

Yes, I know it’s possible to get actual fans of your music in myspace but the truth is, it don’t really happen much, I am noticing.

I know the truth hurts and it’s sometimes hard to face reality, but you have to realize that all myspace is just a big piece of fantasy land that musicians are all living in.

You’re not going to become a Dave Matthews Band or a Metallica, just by having a myspace account although a lot of bands and musicians like to look like famous people.

As I said in my previous blog, myspace isn’t helping you. You’re only helping the “myspace” site itself get more powerful.

I know myspace is just a promoting and marketing tool, but I wish people would stop obsessing with that site. That’s what myspace and News Corp wants, is you to obsess with it and feel addicted to it, they’re just doing whatever it takes to keep people there. People left myspace, going to facebook more now instead, I can see why.

Unsigned bands won’t delete their accounts and leave myspace ’cause they are all living under this delusion that they think myspace helps their music. Myspace is really useless to your music.

There are better ways of getting your music out there on the internet other than myspace. You just got to do some quick thinking and planning things over.

Kev

RANT: Brock thinks myspace has officially destroyed the music industry, get a reality check bands…

Many bands/artists, famous or not, think myspace is good networking for your music. If you get a reality check and get out of your delusional minds for once, myspace has actually destroyed the music industry. Not make it better. Why haven’t I came back to myspace music with a Kev Brock music account yet? ’cause myspace is not the direction I want to go with my songs. I refuse to do anything to help promote myspace with my music.

All you bands out there, that have music accounts, you are not only promoting your music and helping yourself out, you are helping helping and spreading the word on myspace too.

I don’t go to myspace music. I don’t listen to bands in myspace music anymore. I hate going through those ten songs and then getting a pop up ad linking us to some other artist/band in myspace. Myspace gets worse everytime.

Why are albums of famous bands get leaked before release date, and then the artist uploads the entire album to myspace ’cause of the leak? It’s all because of myspace. Myspace doesn’t make your music career better, it doesn’t get you recognized.

Why would you want myspace music shoving this female artist named Katie Voegele in our faces (which she is not a great artist anyways)? Why do you think Katie Voegele is myspace music’s prominent music artist? It’s because YOU let it happen. Just by simply registering to a myspace music account to promote your own music, you helped Katie Voegele become a signed musician.

Myspace is crap for the musc industry and it isn’t a good promotional tool, if you get a reality check. That’s why myspace keeps adding all these cool new features just to get people to stay on the site and get more people to register. I hate myspace ’cause it’s nothing but advertisements there in the music section and it was giving me a headache. I don’t see how people can waste all that time doing all that work: adding friends, promoting your music, gigs, etc. It’s just all a big fucking waste of time, myspace is.

I’ve been using facebook a lot more often these days. I don’t use my facebook account for my music though, I use it for my own personal use to keep in touch with online friends. I use facebook a lot more often ’cause I am planning on deleting my myspace personal account too.

People stopped buying records in the music scores ’cause I blame myspace for that also. Myspace isn’t great marketing for your music.

Will bands ever stop going to myspace and stop making myspace pages ’cause they think it will help get them recognized? NO. They’ll continue to stay in their delusional minds. All those bands in myspace, famous or not, you are not helping your music. You are all kissing Rupert Murdoch’s ass by supporting him, just by simply having an account when you are not even realizing it. Yes, it is true. You all support News Corp. Not yourself and your music fans. All the News Corp sleazy big shots care about is marketing “myspace”. Myspace doesn’t help your music, it did nothing but help “myspace” take over the world.

That’s the point I’m trying to get at here. Yep, I blame myspace for turning today’s music industry so mainstream and pop. I miss the days when myspace wasn’t around and good music was around back then too.

Craigslist prostitution is on the rise in the “Erotics” section…

So let me get this straight. Craigslist gets sued by an Illinois Cook County Sheriff to threaten the site to take down the “Erotics” section. South Carolina threatened to press charges against craigslist which they got sued by the craigslist CEO for.

And how about this?

http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/05/20/craigslist.prostitution/

More and more states are fighting to get the “Erotics” section shut down in craigslist.

Why doesn’t craigslist shut down the “Erotics” section? It’s because the site makes them money, that’s why. All they care about is getting some dough in their pockets while innocent young women are being bought by men wanting a fling.

Of course, craigslist and the sites owners continues to defend themselves, maintaining their innocence. Craigslist is not a very good website anyway. I don’t know why so many people bother trying to sell stuff or to get laid on that stupid site when you can do that everywhere else.

If you wanted to sell something, do it at a yard sale or sell it on E-bay. Not an anonymous site like craigslist where you can’t trust anything. I don’t even look at that site anymore. I hope the United States win the battle of taking down the “Erotics” section, or even better to keep people safe…take the craigslist site off the internet altogether. I give the law kudos and respect for fighting back at that aweful website. They are taking a stand at something to what they believe in ’cause they care about people.

Report: Stevie Nicks says computers and cell phones has destroyed the social life of people…and I agree with her…

Fleetwood Mac’s front woman, Stevie Nicks, finally opens up on why she never uses a computer or a cell phone to keep in touch with people.

Check it out here:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090409/ap_en_ce/music_q_a_stevie_nicks;_ylt=AgAlLxlS11SMNQdUDg2uQfNxFb8C

I agree with her totally. Before anyone calls her delusional and she shouldn’t be bashing the internet, you have to stop and think, and admit that she is 100% right.

Before the internet came around when I was a kid, there were TV, movies, video games, listening to music or better, doing outdoors activities. When the internet came around, that pretty much destroyed all that. Everyone became so addicted to the internet, even myself when it first came around.

I’m doing my very best to kick my internet addiction habit, by doing other things ’cause you notice that my blog slows down with posts more often. I’m hoping getting into exercise and fitness will help get me away from the computer more often as well.

It’s sad that the internet has taken over the world. These days that’s all certain people out there really do, they sit at the computer, 24/7, some people think the internet is their life.

And about using cell phones, black berry’s and all that technical shit, I don’t have any of that. I know cell phones are popular, and everyone I see has one, but I think I’m one of the very few that don’t. I actually despise cell phones and don’t ever plan on buying one. I would want my privacy, don’t you? Doesn’t it get annoying to having the phone ring on ya everywhere you go? Doesn’t it get annoying that when you’re talking to someone in person out in public and then the cell phone rings? If you’re bothered by all that, then why have one?

Some people may think cell phones may come in handy, but in my opinion, they are a fuckin’ waste of time. If I wanted to talk on the phone, I would use a regular home phone, not a cell phone. If people wanted to talk to me, leave me messages on the home phone, not send me messages everywhere I go.

This is why I don’t own a cell phone and don’t plan on getting one ever. I don’t even like it when other people own one ’cause it annoys me when some musical ringtone goes off and yep, it’s the cell phone ringing.

I kind of miss the old days when there were no cell phones and no internet.

Youtube symphony is pretty addicting stuff!!!

More on this youtube symphony orchestra. This is pretty incredible jaw dropping stuff. I just got done watching this entire 59 minute video.

These musicians you see on stage are not famous folks. They are all amateurs and unsigned musicians, regular people like us that just uploaded videos of themselves playing their instruments and look, here they all are playing Carnegie Hall!

Phenomenal  stuff.
