In defense of Dave Batista winning the Royal Rumble last night…

So last night was not only the Grammy Awards, there was also a WWE ppv last night called the Royal Rumble where 30 men fight in the ring at the same time. You’ve probably heard of the Royal Rumble before and know what the rules are right? Last man standing in the ring is the winner. The winner ended up being Dave Batista aka The Animal who is known as a heel/badguy kind of wrestler.

I didn’t watch the ppv since I don’t watch WWE anymore and I heard when the 30 man Rumble match got over with Batista got pretty strong boos from the crowd. Batista is a pretty big guy… large muscles and all. Google him. Batista came back from the WWE after a long hiatus ’cause he wanted to start a movie career and he’s been in a few major films already.

Sure enough the whole internet of the wrestling community is mad that Batista won the Rumble. To be honest, I think it’s a good choice and he deserved to win and be a huge part of Wrestlemania. I liked Batista. He’s a good performer and one of the best wrestling bad guys out there, in my opinion. He has good mic skills. He’s a bad guy that you love to hate.

The thing with WWE is they love to give the bad guy wrestlers a huge push. That’s what they did with CM Punk, Triple H, and Randy Orton when they were heels. They gave them so much screen time and gave the bad guy wrestlers the opportunity to win all the big ppvs. This is just Vince’s thing, ya know? Personally, I find the bad guy wrestlers more entertaining than the good guys. If WWE is pissing a lot of fans off even the smart fans, then they are doing their jobs. That’s what heel wrestlers are supposed to do. Piss off the fans. They’ve been doing this stuff for years. Pushing the bad guys to the extremes.

Bad guys in professional wrestling is all part of entertainment. If there were no bad guy wrestlers, then professional wrestling would be boring as hell and nobody would care if everybody were good guys. There are even bad guys in all fighting sports like MMA and boxing (like Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Jr., perfect examples) as well.

Yes, bad guys in WWE are just a storyline but that’s the thing a lot  of people in this day and age mistakenly wants to believe that everything in WWE is real. That’s how the WWE wants to make you think. They control your mind and they want you to believe what they do is real. They don’t believe in the “fake” word.

I stopped watching WWE not because the bad guys keep getting pushed… I stopped watching ’cause the story lines were getting really bad and didn’t like the direction they’re headed into but with this Batista thing, I’m thinking about watching again, not sure. Sounds like an interesting wrestling angle they’re doing.

I never took what WWE did seriously ’cause I know it’s just a show. If I want to cheer on the bad guys and support them, I’ll have no problem doing just that. The heel wrestlers put on a better show than the good guys, anyways. I haven’t been watching for at least a year now and feel good about it.

Will Hulk Hogan induct the Ultimate Warrior into the wrestling Hall of Fame??? I don’t know…

In facebook, the WWE official page posted up a status asking the fans who should induct the Ultimate Warrior into the WWE Hall of Fame, and sure enough… most of the responses were Hulk Hogan. So it’s pretty clear that most of the WWE Universe want Hulk Hogan to induct Warrior which should be an obvious choice. Why? Simply because Hogan was the one who helped Warrior get over at their famous Wrestlemania 6 match.

Even though I can’t stand Hulk Hogan, I agree that he’s the obvious choice to induct Warrior; however, Hulk and Warrior would have to do some hatchet burying and put their differences aside in order for that to happen. Hulk and Warrior have been having a real life feud for many years and they still don’t get along in real life. I don’t know. It be cool that Hulk would induct the Ultimate Warrior but there’s a slight chance of that not happening.

If Warrior can bury the hatchet with Vince McMahon then I’m sure Warrior can bury the hatchet with Hulk too so who knows… anything is possible. We’ll have to wait to see what happens. I’m sure Hulk will be all for burying the hatchet with Warrior but it’s all up to Warrior of what he wants to do.

If Hulk isn’t gonna do it who else should induct Warrior into the Hall of Fame? I can see Jake “The Snake” Roberts doing it.

As far as Hulk and Warrior goes, we’ll have to see what happens. Even though I hate Hogan, I’d like to see Warrior and Hulk bury the hatchet ’cause those two guys held grudges for too long.

Ultimate Warrior is finally gonna be in the WWE Hall of Fame…

The WWE Hall of Fame first started in 1993 (which was about 20 years ago) and the Ultimate Warrior was never in the Hall of Fame. Why? The WWE always wanted Warrior in the Hall of Fame but the Warrior was never down with it until now. I believe it has something to do with his long real-life feud against, Vince McMahon. Warrior was in a long feud with Vince since 1991 and I believe Warrior didn’t want in the hall of fame while the feud was going on. So it’s looking like that Warrior officially buried the hatchet with McMahon since Warrior made an appearance in the WWE 2k14 game and is now gonna be in the Hall of Fame.

What’s next for the Ultimate Warrior? Possible wrestling return? One last match? Warrior still says that he’s done in the ring but I wouldn’t rule it out, though. I believe he could have one final match at this year’s Wrestlemania against none other than Vince McMahon which could be a possibility. If Warrior is done with wrestling for good… he still could make on TV WWE appearances, though. Just not wrestle. Maybe Warrior could be the special guest referee for the main event at this year’s ‘Mania? That’s an idea too!

Anyway, I’m happy that Warrior is finally in the Hall of Fame which is long overdue but there are still other wrestlers missing that are well-deserving for induction. “Macho Man” Randy Savage still needs to be in there. Also Owen Hart, Scott Hall, The Undertaker, Sting, and “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson deserves his time too. Maybe Chris Jericho as well.

See the full inductee list, here.

Even though the Ultimate Warrior claims to be done with wrestling… it’s pretty clear that a lot of people still love him to death. He’s my favorite too. He had more personality than Hulk Hogan.

WWE finally announces, “WWE Network” for the launch of Feb. 24th, and I actually think it’s pretty cool!!!

Last night, the WWE finally announced the launch of “WWE Network” which is a 24/7 streaming service for Feb. 24th of this year! The WWE have been planning this for many years and this is finally happening this year. What’s the “WWE Network” going to be about? What’s gonna be on it? Well, I watched some of the announcement show online last night and here’s what I learned about “WWE Network”.

You will be able to watch every WWE PPV the WWE has ever made. PPV’s from all 12 of their ppv events and yes, that includes all of their “Wrestlemanias” and “Royal Rumbles”. You wanna watch all the old RAW and SMACKDOWN episodes? No problem, they’ll all be on there. Wanna re-live all the 80’s wrestling and the 90’s Attitude Era? No problem. All that stuff will be on there. Never got to watch any old WCW Nitro or ECW? No problem. All that stuff will be on there too! There will be much more wrestling material to watch on there too like reality shows and stuff.

And the price of subscription is only $9.99 a/ month!!! At first, I kept thinking that this was gonna be very pricey but $9.99 a month is actually pretty cheap! That’s not all though, this is not only an internet streaming thing. You can watch “WWE Network” pretty much anywhere. You can watch ’em on your Iphones, Ipads, kindles, PS3/PS4/Xbox, etc.

More info on, “WWE Network” here.

This is pretty cool actually! WWE bought the entire WCW/ECW library and even though they say that only 300 episodes will be on there for now… I’m sure the entire library will be on there soon enough. This is a new thing for them and it will get bigger.

Honestly, I think this is WWE’s way of competing with Netflix, pretty obvious don’t you think? I do like it, though. Since I’m a huge wrestling fanatic, I would love to watch all the old-school wrestling again.

I don’t care for the current direction of wrestling — I hate how it is today — but I will always love the old-school wrestling, though. The old days of WWE was the greatest.

I’m probably gonna end up subscribing to this but not right away, though.

Darren Young wasn’t the first WWE star to come out as gay, there has been a few others, stupid media…

I wish the reporters of the news media would get their facts straight, especially that damn TMZ. Darren Young wasn’t the first WWE star to come out as gay. There have been a few others in the past. They were: Chris Kanyon, Pat Patterson, and Orlando Jordan.

Just more proof that people know nothing about the wrestling business.

I’m pretty sure that there are even more  gay wrestlers but a lot of them haven’t came out yet ’cause they’re afraid it might hurt their careers. I’m sure more wrestlers will come out of the closet now that Darren Young has done it. Other wrestlers will follow for sure. If you don’t know who Darren Young is, he was one of the Nexus members.

It should be no surprise to you that there are going to be plenty of gay wrestlers.

I’m sure Darren Young coming out as gay won’t hurt his career at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if WWE turns it into a storyline. WWE has done gay storylines before (most notably, Billy & Chuck in the 90’s).

Ultimate Warrior confirms reconciling with Vince McMahon and is now back in the WWE Universe….

Ultimate Warrior wrote today on twitter to Vince McMahon:

@VinceMcMahon Vince, thank you for your personal welcome back to the WWE Universe. It is noted and appreciated. All the Warriors of Parts Unknown take pride in being one of the original galaxies of the Universe you created. Not one of my days has passed without a flashback to my time in the business and my relationship with you. After 17 years of battling one another, perhaps the stars have finally aligned and Destiny is prepared to tell one of Sports Entertainment’s greatest stories: how two of the industry’s most determined, colorful, intense and explosive personalities brought to life a persona that made such an inspiring impression that it still captures the hearts and minds of fans all over the world, even all these years later. I am proud Ultimate Warrior is an iconic, immortal spirit in the Universe you created. I know, Vince McMahon, you are proud, too. The inhabitants of your WWE Universe believe your personal welcome is an invitation of sorts. If so, consider this my RSVP with one condition. Wisdom takes a seat at the table with us when we meet, but we each also leave unburied a slight edge of the hatchet we’ve carried over the years. that other gutless and heartless God-fearing men urge us to lay to rest forever. Face it, neither one of us were ever any good at being bored or boring others. So coming prepared to kill one another makes for a interesting backup plan. Always Believe, Warrior

As you can see, Vince and Warrior have been feuding in public for years. Over the years Warrior has kept away from WWE and he wouldn’t even let the WWE induct him into the Hall of Fame. Now that Warrior buried the hatchet with Vince McMahon officially… I think a Hall of Fame induction is very possible now.

Also a short WWE return is possible since Warrior revealed that he is back in the “WWE Universe”. He didn’t say anything about returning to WWE television on RAW but I think they’re just trying to keep it a surprise.

I think we will see Warrior back on WWE TV. Not sure if he’s coming back full time, part time, a one off or what but we’ll wait and see. He’s probably just coming back for one final match against Vince as a way to finish off that feud… in a kayfabe kind of way. Do you know what, “kayfabe” is right? It is a wrestling term meaning that it is the portrayal of events in wrestling that are actually “real”.

Some off TV feuds have been finished on WWE television before so it’s nothing new. Kayfabe already happened with Vince and Bret the “Hitman” Hart. Vince and Bret have feuded for years while Bret stayed retired… now they are reconciled… Bret makes occasional appearances on RAW. They finished their Montreal “screwjob” angle on TV. Mick Foley and Ric Flair had an off TV feud for a while and they were gonna finish on TV but things got a little different. Jerry Lawler’s heart attack scare was kayfabe. Sometimes things you see on TV can be real which can be called, “kayfabe”. The McMahon steroid trial from years back and the Owen Hart death, all kayfabe.

I can see them doing a lot of kayfabe stuff with Vince vs. Warrior. A Vince vs. Warrior feud on TV would be entertaining. I’m gonna have to start watching WWE again to watch out for Warrior’s return. Warrior won’t return to WWE this soon… they want to make things surprising and unpredictable so Warrior can appear out of no where.

Glad to finally see Vince put his ego aside. He did a great thing for a change. Vince can be a cool guy after all!

The Ultimate Warrior still means so much to so many people to this day…

Yes, there have been many wrestling legends over the years but in my opinion, I think the Ultimate Warrior is the most important one of them all. Hulk Hogan was the one who helped get him over at their legendary match at Wrestlemania 6 which was the match that helped Warrior’s popularity. That match still means a lot to so many people to this day. So many wrestling legends Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, etc. I think the Ultimate Warrior tops them all. Warrior claims that he is retired from wrestling for good but I think he is on his way to a short comeback — now that WWE has gotten Warrior as a playable character for the 2k14 video game.

Vince and Warrior used to never get along. They had feuded for years behind the scenes. They must of reconciled and buried the hatchet. Now that Warrior is gonna be in the next WWE game — could this mean that Warrior is on his way to the Hall of Fame? Will Warrior make one last WWE run? Maybe one last match? Warrior claims that his days in the ring are over ’cause he made his mark in the past but never say never, ya know?

I haven’t been watching WWE for a long while. I hate the way it’s going but I’m gonna have to start watching again just to watch out for Warrior’s possible return. Warrior’s being secretive about it and in an interview I saw of youtube… he said he wouldn’t mind one more match with Vince. Even though Warrior still does bodybuilding and works out… his body still can’t take wrestling anymore ’cause of his age (he’s in his 50’s now, I believe). So if he wrestles Vince… the match won’t be as physical. Warrior would have to wrestle someone who is not an actual wrestler… Vince would be the most likely choice.

Plus, it would be a fine way to end the Warrior vs. Vince feud by settling it in the wrestling ring.

The reason Warrior means so much to so many people still is ’cause his character is a positive character. No negativity. In real life, when Warrior is not wrestling… he’s a very nice man. He’s brutally honest but he seems like a very friendly and down to earth guy if you watch all of his videos in youtube.

Simply put, Warrior inspires everyone. That’s why he’s important. He deserves the Hall of Fame and one more WWE run. I think both are a huge possibility. Warrior is awesome. I always respect him like most. He has no ego. He’s respectful to other talent. He’s just a humble dude. I’d like to meet him in person myself someday ’cause I hear he does the best autograph sessions.

Hope Warrior comes back to RAW. People still love him to this day.

Cool Video: The Ultimate Warrior returns to the WWE… sort of…

Is the Ultimate Warrior on his way back to WWE television? For the first time in history, Warrior, the wrestling legend is being featured in a WWE game. Vince McMahon and Warrior must have finally buried the hatchet. They used to never get along as they were having public feuds for a lot of years. WWE has been ignoring the Warrior for a long time and it’s about time, they finally give him the respect he deserves.

Even though I stopped watching WWE for a long while… I always respected the Warrior. He was a good wrestling character. His character really means something to a lot of people. I think he’s more serious than Hogan and Randy Savage, in my opinion. Warrior is a positive inspiration to everybody. Plus, he’s a good wrestler and mic worker.

Even though, Warrior is a retired wrestler… he still makes occasional appearances at various Indy wrestling events across the states. So I’m assuming all that is teasing his upcoming possible WWE return. He maybe back in a video game but will Warrior make a surprise appearance on RAW? All we can do is hope and pray! Cross your fingers! Warrior deserves one final match. The next Wrestlemania would be perfect to have his final match at. Who should Warrior have his final match against? I would say either Vince McMahon or CM Punk. Probably Vince McMahon would make a lot more sense so they can do an on TV feud and finish it in the ring.

Yeah, I stopped watching RAW. Lost my appreciation for it. Don’t like the direction it’s heading but if Warrior returns… that’s what makes me want to start watching again. I wouldn’t rule out a Warrior return just yet, though. This commercial in the video just might be a possibility that he maybe on his way back to WWE television.

I’m thinking about buying this video game myself. Warrior being made a playable character will be worth it alone.

Why I’m thinking about giving up on professional wrestling for good…

I haven’t been watching WWE RAW. Haven’t been watching RAW for the past 9 or 10 weeks now. Yeah, I take breaks from watching WWE for a long while when they start to get bad again but the company is getting really bad again. The WWE is at their worst right now. Why am I all fed up with WWE and professional wrestling all-around? I even stopped watching TNA wrestling ’cause I refuse to support Hulk Hogan.

The wrestling industry isn’t the same anymore. I miss the old days of Attitude Era of the old WWF and WCW Monday Nitro when they used to be around. They were great days of wrestling! I miss the old days so bad! I can’t stand today’s wrestling. The writing is not getting any better. The wrestling sucks. The card on RAW and the PPV’s are not as good anymore. I’m sick of the WWE shoving John Cena in our faces all the time, I’ve had it. Also matches are too predictable.

I don’t think I’ll ever get back to watching wrestling again. I’m serious about this. Don’t get me wrong, though, I still respect the performers and still LOVE the wrestlers. I just want the good wrestling back like everyone else. It’s sad how the wrestling industry is now. TNA’s Impact Wrestling is even not that good anymore as well. I used to watch TNA but stopped as soon as they signed Hulk Hogan. WWE and TNA are both shit companies right now.

Look, I understand both companies had to change in order to stay in the mainstream. Completely understandable but it would be nice if these companies would give what wrestling fans want to see but they don’t care. All these companies care about is jerking themselves off with money and ratings.

I’ll always be a wrestling fan and will have a passion for professional wrestling but like everyone else, I don’t like how it is right now. Plus, I’m getting too old to be liking this stuff as I’m heading into my 40’s and need to grow out of it. Wrestling should be about wrestling. Not a soap opera or Sesame Street. I like wrestling when it’s dark, intense  and violent. Sometimes WWE can actually be good today as CM Punk is still a great performer and some of the things he does is still worth watching. I just don’t appreciate what wrestling is anymore as I’ve been a fan my whole life. Yes, I’ve been a fan of wrestling ever since I was a child.

Today’s wrestling is not how I want it to be.

Report: Dwayne Johnson has abdomen surgery since after getting injured in match with John Cena at WM-29…

Professional wrestling maybe fake and scripted, yes, but not all of it. You can still get injuries for real and this is proof. During the match with John Cena at Wrestlemania 29, The Rock, tore off his abdomen and abduction muscles. Tore them right off the bone. So he just had a successful surgery today.

Read more on the story, here.

The Rock is already done with the surgery as he just posted a pic of himself in the hospital, see it here

Keep in mind that professional wrestling is a very physical job. Even though it’s fake wrestling, and you can’t really hurt each other, you can still get injuries by accident. You can still get injured in professional wrestling just like you can get injured in any sport or on any job. Yes, professional wrestling is fake and scripted but still can be very dangerous.

Dwayne is a cool guy though, I’ve always looked after him. I wonder if the surgery will hold back his movie career a little bit? He’s gonna have to do a lot of resting and healing so he may have to take a break from acting in movies for a while.

He is a beast, though. He’s gotten even more ripped and jacked than ever before. People will probably blame his physique on steroids but again, all bodybuilders get accused of using ‘roids. It’s just old and tiresome — I just ignore the steroid accusations. It is idiotic and unfair how bodybuilders get blamed for steroids — I can tell you that right now.
