Wow! This was pretty badass! Looking promising so far! Hopefully, this film is better than the first. I still don’t like Sly’s mustache in the movie though….

I’m hoping, the sequel to the “Expendables” will be much better than the first one, like everyone else. I did like the first, “Expendables” movie, but I’ll admit that the first film did have some problems. Hopefully, the sequel will be an improvement. What I enjoy most about the “Expendables”, is the character of Dolph, he’s probably my favorite character out of the group. Dolph does the best acting out of the cast, in my opinion, I just want the movies to do more with him. Hopefully, the sequel will have more Dolph screen time.
The trailer is full of 80’s action stars I grew up watching over the years. Arnold made an announcement in the trailer saying, “I’m back”, which is what he means that he’s back in the movies. This is Arnold’s first big screen movie since after his governor run.
While I’m a huge fan of Sly, I don’t like his look in this movie though, the mustache kind of bothers me. I’m hoping this film will be good. I’m pretty excited about the film, but I’m more excited to see, “The Avengers”, and “The Dark Knight: Rises”.

So “The Raven” with John Cusack finally hits theaters tomorrow. Yes, I do plan on seeing it.
For years, Sylvester Stallone has been talking about wanting to do his own Edgar Allan Poe, biopic film. There were talks that he had Robert Downey Jr., to star as Poe in Sly’s film. Even though this film has been in the talks for a long while now, it never happened. Sly kept changing his mind about the project. One time, he wants to do it, and the next thing you know, he puts the project on hold. I think he’s got the script written, not sure.
Maybe if “The Raven”, becomes a huge money maker in the box office this weekend, maybe that will make Sly want to start making the movie then. That’s what I’m hoping.
All of Sly’s fans, been wanting him to do that Edgar Allan Poe movie. I want him to do it myself. I’m not sure why, Sly hasn’t started working on the film yet. Maybe he’s worried that it might hurt his action career and might give him another career slump? I don’t know.
I just want him to get that Edgar Allan Poe movie made. Have him do something serious for once, instead of action movies. Sly said he won’t star in the “Poe” biopic, he’s going to just write it and direct it. I just want Sly to do a special project that could possibly land him in the Oscars again.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to, “The Raven”, tomorrow. I’m a pretty big Edgar Allan Poe fan. Loved his short stories and poems.

I haven’t made a Sly Stallone post here in a long time but now that he finally has something worthy to post, I had to post it here. Sly just said he is dying to do one last Rambo movie, and the plot will involve him being between the borders of Arizona and Mexico.
He talks about the new Rambo film at the very end of this interview.
You should read the rest of that interview as well, it’s a good interview. I agree with his thoughts on today’s action heroes on how it isn’t what it used to be back in the 80’s. There are some good action movies that come out today, but today’s action films are full of CGI and special effects. It wasn’t the way the old days filmed action movies.
I’m glad Sly is thinking about one last Rambo movie. Hopefully, the next film will be LONGER and more brutal than the last one.

After, “The Expendables”, you can expect Arnold and Sly, two of the biggest action movie icons, to star in more movies together. Summit Entertainment, confirms Arnold and Sly will both star the leading roles in a film called, “The Tomb”. Sly will play a man who designed a high-tech prison that is escape proof. Sly’s character is set up and sent in the same prison he just built. Arnold plays a fellow inmate a complex guy whose tough exterior hides the reality he’s an okay guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity.
Deadline, reports.
Why didn’t Arnold and Sly star in movies together in the past before? I remember Sly saying in the AICN Q&A’s he did with them, that it had something to do with ego’s. He was afraid of the huge egos getting in the way with each other or something like that, since they are both iconic stars. They probably finally realized, that won’t be a problem, so they agreed to start doing movies together after all these years. I agree, they should’ve starred in movies a long time ago, though. It’s been a long time coming for them.

When actors star in movies, do you think all of them are proud of their work? No. Actors certainly don’t like every movie they star in. They have an honest opinion just like the rest of us. Examples: Sylvester Stallone agrees with most fans that “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot” was a bad movie. It gets even better. Alec Guinness hated, “Star Wars”? Christopher Plummer hated, “The Sound of Music”? It’s all true!
Check out this interesting article, here.
Do a google search on “actors who hated their own movies”, and I’m sure you would find lots more.

I remember, before “Rocky Balboa” (Rocky VI) came out, Sly’s career was in a big career slump at that time. Before, the new “Rocky” movie came out, he had a hard time being accepted again in Hollywood ’cause no one wouldn’t take him seriously anymore. They all thought Sly was old and washed up actor. People attacked Sly that he didn’t belong in Hollywood anymore ’cause he was making straight to video movies before the new “Rocky” movie was released.
It’s really great to see Sly become successful again. Thanks to Rocky, Rambo, and the Expendables. Sly is now a mainstream star again, which is nice.
Sly has been a work horse lately. He’s got two new movies coming out in 2012, “The Expendables 2” and “Bullet to the Head”, in which he is starring the leading roles in both of them. Both films are action films too.
While everyone thought that Sly bringing back Rocky & Rambo back to the big screen one more time was a silly idea, it was a smart career move. Think about it. If Sly never did bring back Rocky & Rambo, he would STILL be a struggling actor. He just did whatever it took to bring his career back on track.
I think he’s going to be done with acting soon ’cause he said he planned on retiring to concentrate on directing mostly. I remember him saying he will act in a few more films starring the leading roles, then he’ll be done.
The more Sly, the better. Can’t wait to see, “Expendables 2” and “Bullet to the Head”.

“The Expendables 2” teaser is finally here. There’s nothing much on it for now, it’s just a teaser. It just shows all the cast members. The trailer shows Chuck Norris, and Van Damme. Best of all, it also shows Arnold holding a gun!!!! How cool is it to finally see Arnold with a gun for the big screen? After a 7 year long fucking wait of Arnold’s governor shit, he’s finally back to where he belongs. Action films on the big screen!!!
I did like the first “Expendables” movie, but only for the action & fight scenes. The action scenes for the first film was fine, it was just the writing that had lots of problems. Hopefully the plot will be an improvement for the sequel. I’ll be seeing the new film in theater for sure.
Check out the trailer, here.

It’s a GREAT poster, however, I feel there is a huge mistake on it. I think it’s advertised wrong. How? It’s got Jet Li’s name on the poster, but he’s not on it. Instead you see this Asian person who looks like a woman. That’s not Jet Li. That is a Chinese actress named, Yu Nan. If you’re going to put Yu Nan on the poster, at least put her name on the poster. Jet Li needs to be included on there also. Other than this little error, the poster looks great.
Arnold and Bruce holding guns, is a hint that they are going to be kicking ass and getting into action this time around.
I hope this is a much better than movie than the first one. I’ll be seeing this one in theater for sure. So “Rocky”, and “Rambo”, are Sly’s two big movie franchises, so, “Expendables”, will be his third major franchise.
Van Damme is the main villain in this movie, so it’s gonna be good.
Kev

The young, Liam Hemsworth, officially joins the cast of, “The Expendables 2”. Liam can be seen in movies such as, “Knowing”, and, “The Last Song”. He will also have a role in the upcoming film, “The Hunger Games”.
Liam originally was going to have a role to play along side with Sylvester Stallone, in the first, “Expendables” film, but Sly wrote him out of the movie. I guess Sly wanted to put him in the sequel to make up for it.
Deadline, reports.
Well, Liam is a pretty muscular guy and he’s a superstar, so he’s the right fit. The point of the Expendables, is having of bunch of muscle guys who are icons all in one film.
Another addition that would be pretty cool to add to this cast is Jason Mamoa, who is famous for “Game of Thrones” and “Conan, The Barbarian” remake. After seeing the movie, “Warrior”, Kurt Angle would also be a good addition.
