Royal Rumble review…

So I watched the “Royal Rumble” last night. Although the ppv was too predictable like always, it was still fun to see. So Alberto Del Rio, a new and young Mexican wrestler ended up getting the win after all! Even if I said, HBK Shawn Michaels was going to win in that predictions video I did, I kind of called it on Alberto Del Rio first before I changed my mind and named Shawn Michaels instead. Check my tweet. I posted that tweet before I made that predictions video. So in a way, I’m right about Alberto anyway. I’m glad WWE gave it to Alberto. He deserves it. At least WWE finally gave the opportunity to someone new & different. It’s getting very boring seeing John Cena or Randy Orton win at the end of almost every ppv, all the time. I like that Alberto guy, he is a great performer and he’s going to be a huge star quick. We have a new upcoming WWE Champion on our hands.

It was a great Rumble last night. The surprising superstar returns we got last night were just Kevin Nash aka Diesel “Big Daddy Cool” and Booker T, came back. I believe both are back full time, not a one off. Kevin Nash aka Diesel was the only legend that showed up. We didn’t get Hacksaw, Jimmy Snuka, Million Dollar Man, etc. None of those guys. Although there were a lot of rumors of Triple H and Christian being there last night, we didn’t get them either. Look like they are trying to make Triple H’s return unpredictable and not expecting. Triple H will be back, only when it’s a good time. Could the reason Triple H didn’t come back yet is because, he might be the Anonymous RAW GM after all? Could be. Never know.

Anyway, I was kind of hoping the Royal Rumble was going to have the New Nexus and CM Punk be dominate toward the end, so they and John Cena can be the last in the ring, but that didn’t happen. All the Nexus guys got taken out. So who ended up being the last two guys in the ring?

Santino Marrella and Alberto Del Rio were the last two. I know a lot of wrestling fans don’t like that idea, but I love it. Give some of the younger guys a chance for the spotlight. The younger guys deserve to main event more and it’s great that WWE is finally making that happen.

On with the other matches on the card, I liked Edge vs. Dolph Ziggler. I was right on that prediction. I knew Edge was going retain. It was a long match too, fun and exciting. I also liked Randy Orton vs. The Miz, I too was right on that prediction, the Miz retained, of course. As for the Divas match, I was wrong on that prediction. That was the only match I was wrong on. Eve Torres ended up getting the win for the Divas belt. Awesome Kong didn’t make her debut yet at the Rumble. Weird. Everyone was expecting Kong to make her debut but she didn’t show. Like WWE wants to keep her upcoming debut unpredictable too.

It was a pretty good Rumble last night. So it’s gonna be Alberto Del Rio vs. The Miz for Wrestlemania? That’s what it’s looking like. Good job WWE. WWE is getting better.

Thought: Who will win “The Royal Rumble” this Sunday??? Top 5 Possible winners…

The “Royal Rumble” ppv is this Sunday. Yes, I will watch, of course. The Royal Rumbe is 40 man this year. Who do I predict will win the Rumble this year? There is five possible choices.

  1. CM – Punk – Punk could get the win so he can main event and face John Cena at Wrestlemania 27.
  2. Alberto Del Rio – A new and young Mexican wrestler who WWE seems to be pushing pretty hard. Could he somehow win the Rumble and actually face against Cena at WM-27? Possibly.
  3. Triple H – Triple H might return at the Royal Rumble PPV during the 40 man match.
  4. Chris Jericho – Rumors hit the net that Jericho might be coming back soon, could his return be at the Rumble?
  5. Wade Barrett – This UK superstar could get the huge win at the Rumble so he can go against the Undertaker at WM-27. Remember, Wade Barrett had a big feud with the Undertaker when he used to be leader of Nexus. Nexus beat the hell out of the Undertaker on a Smackdown episode once.

I’m willing to bet any of those guys will be the most likely winners. Of course, don’t be surprised if John Cena ends up winning the whole thing somehow. If Cena does end up winning the Rumble, I’m going to be pissed as fuck, I know that.

Looking forward to seeing the Rumble this Sunday!

BREAKING NEWS: WWE annnounces expansion to “Royal Rumble” match to a 40 man Rumble!!!

The first Royal Rumble event took place on January 24, 1988. Hacksaw Jim Duggan was the first Royal Rumble winner. To those that are new to wrestling, the Royal Rumble match up usually have 30 guys in the ring and an opponent must be eliminated by being thrown over the top rope with both feet hitting the floor on the outside. A new superstar will come out to the ring every once in a while after 10 second count. The only way to win is one wrestler must be left in the ring, no one else.

Well today, WWE announced the huge news that the Royal Rumble this year will be a 40 man, match up, instead of the usual 30.

Read the article, here.

I know everyone is thinking that the reason for this is, they could be saving this for a bunch of legends and superstar returns to be part of this match but sorry I disagree. The reason I think they did this is ’cause it has something to do with the Nexus, which CM Punk is the new leader. Could the New Nexus find a bunch of new members so they can be dominate at the Rumble?

I am predicting that the last four guys at the Rumble will end up being John Cena, a returning Triple H, Nexus members, and CM Punk. I think Triple H will be the winner of the Rumble this year so he can headline Wrestlemania again. I didn’t name Sheamus ’cause Triple H will take out Sheamus before the end.

I don’t watch WWE ppvs much anymore, I only watch Royal Rumble and Wrestleamania every year, so yeah, of course, I will watch this year’s Rumble at the end of the month.

Report: Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to take over WWE when Vince McMahon steps down???

The Wrestling Observer posted this, about Triple H’s backstage power at WWE shows:

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports those backstage within WWE are very happy that Triple H has a lot more power within the company to make influential changes. The feeling is that although he has had significant power within the company for several years now his current official role will allow a slow transition of the company from Vince McMahon to Triple H as the leading figure. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are expected to be the successors of the company when the time comes.

Notice how the article says, “when the time comes”. Is that a hint that Triple H and Steph could take over WWE ownership, when ever Vince steps down to retire??? Well, Vince can’t retire until he sells the business. Whenever Vince had enough, I’m sure he would sell it to none other than Triple H and Steph. Even though Triple H haven’t been on TV, he still travels to all WWE shows and hangs backstage with the superstars, trying to help run the show.

Possible matches for Wrestlemania 27

Well, the road to Wrestlemania has officially begun. Wrestlemania 27 will take place on April 3rd in Atlanta, Georgia. What matches do I think will happen this year? Well, here is a few possibilities that may happen.

  • John Cena vs. the Miz for the WWE Title – There’s a huge possibility that Cena could be part of the 30 Man Royal Rumble matchup, and of course, he’ll win, so he can headline Wrestlemania to face Miz for the WWE title. Cena will indeed become WWE Champ again at the next Wrestlemania like always.
  • CM Punk vs. Wade Barrett – The Nexus have thrown it’s former leader, Wade Barrett out of the group. So looks like Wade Barrett will be feuding against CM Punk for a long while.
  • HHH vs. Sheamus – Triple H maybe returning soon just in time for Wrestlemania. HHH may get his revenge against Sheamus this time around. WWE could possibly be saving HHH’s return at the Rumble. Will HHH show up during the 30 man rumble match? I think it’s a possibility.
  • Beth Phoenix vs. Awesome Kong – If the newly signed Awesome Kong makes her debut in time for Wrestlemania which she probably will, I believe she’ll face against Beth Phoenix, because Beth is a big and muscular woman and it would make sense if she went against another big woman.
  • The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar (if not Brock, then it will be against Kane) – If WWE can get Brock in time for Wrestlemania, it would be Undertaker vs. Brock. If they can’t get Brock, then it’ll just be Undertaker vs. Kane again.

Those are the matches I can definitely see happening so far, if I come up with anything else, I will add it in.

Thought: Brock reviews last night’s WWE RAW…

Man, RAW is getting so much better, I’m so proud of WWE. If WWE can keep up the great work like this, the company will get everyone’s respect again. On RAW last night, started off with a Championship match between The Miz vs. John Morrison. It was such an awesome match, very well played by both men. Of course, the Miz, won, but it was still an excellent match. John Morrison did a really good bump by jumping off on top of the WWE logo on the stage. It felt like a PPV match and a great way to kick off RAW.

The main event that ended RAW was a steel cage match with 3 wrestlers: Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett vs. Sheamus. It was a pretty long match too, also felt like a ppv match. Of course, CM Punk interfered when Wade Barret was going to score the victory but CM Punk pushed Barrett down from the cage, costing him the opportunity to be part of the 30 Man Royal Rumble match up.

All the other matches last night were fun and entertaining too.

Wow. Ever since the WWE ditched celebrity guest hosts, they’ve been doing a great job on their shows so far. Even John Cena wasn’t on last night. See? WWE can do good without Cena. They don’t need Cena around to bring up ratings. All they need is good story lines and good wrestling. It’s pretty nice that the WWE is concentrating on good wrestling for the past couple of weeks and that’s what I want to see.

Congrats to the WWE creative team. Keep up the great work.

Report: Awesome Kong, finally signs contract to WWE!!!

Long time, TNA star, Awesome Kong (real name: Kia Stevens, the huge black woman pictured above) just signed a contract to WWE. How long did it take WWE to finally notice her? She revealed the news herself on her twitter page. This is great news because the Divas division in WWE could use a big woman. I can definitely see WWE using Awesome Kong, as this unstoppable female monster. She’ll come in as a heel for a while, but maybe babyface sometime in the future.

Read more on it, here.

I do watch TNA wrestling sometimes and for some reason, I’m fascinated with Awesome Kong. She’ll do good with WWE. They need her.

I wonder if Samoa Joe or AJ Styles will ever go to WWE? They will at some point.

Cool Video: Shawn Michaels HBK announces WWE return in latest youtube video…

Shawn Michaels posted a video today in his official youtube account, he revealed the shocking news that he signed a full time contract with WWE. The only problem is, that Shawn will only be a performer, not a wrestler. He’s done wrestling for good, but that doesn’t come as a surprise because Shawn always had health problems and he has serious back problems.

I don’t think Shawn is the RAW Anonymous GM, he’s probably going to perform with Triple H as DX, just to entertain the kids.

Enjoy this interesting video. This is Shawn Michaels home gym. Look at all the cool WWE memorabilia he has hanging on his wall. All that stuff is from his WWE career from the past.

Cool Video: John Cena to come back to WWE under a new gimmick, Juan Cena…

How will John Cena come back to WWE TV after being fired by the Anonymous General Manager and Wade Barrett of the Nexus? Cena will be coming back under a new gimmick. He will be disguised in a Mexican costume and will be renamed, Juan Cena. A Mexican gimmick. It’s to hide the John Cena identity, as a way to come back to WWE to feud with the Nexus some more.

Remember, the Hulk Hogan/Mr. America storyline? It’s the same thing as that. As usual, the WWE can never come up with original storylines, they just keep rehashing old ones.

Here’s the Juan Cena, theme song, a Mexican version of John’s original version.

I love how some people online, think John Cena is really fired, when it’s all part of a storyline and part of a script. John’s not really fired. Remember, WWE has done this “you’re fired” storyline to many superstars in the past: Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, etc. Again, nothing new, rehashing old storylines.

Cena will probably be on RAW tonight. Not sure if he will be in this new gimmick yet though.

Edit to add:

Here’s John Cena as the Juan Cena masked gimmick at a RAW House show, a non televised event….
