“Rambo: Last Blood” teaser trailer drops today and it looks freakin’ badass! Can’t wait!!!

Well I never expected the “Rambo: Last Blood” trailer to drop today. There were no prior announcements about this so the trailer just dropped out of nowhere. I guess they wanted to surprise us and they did. Sly didn’t say anything about a trailer being released this week so here it is…. the trailer for “Rambo: Last Blood”.

When Sly started releasing pics of the film on his instagram… people were getting worried that this might turn out to be a western kind of film. It looks like it is going to be more of a western but the violent action scenes are still there. The trailer gave me goosebumps and I’m stoked to see this. Can’t wait.

The movie is not done yet ’cause Sly is still filming scenes for it. Looks freakin’ awesome, though.

Enjoy, y’all.

Will AEW take WWE out of business??? No… WWE isn’t going anywhere but AEW will definitely change WWE, though…

I’ve been visiting fan sites of AEW groups in facebook to see what they have to say about the wrestling industry. I’m seeing that a lot of people think AEW will put WWE out of business soon simply because they believe that AEW will get so big that WWE will have no audience left. You see, this is where I disagree. The WWE maybe low in the ratings right now but they will ALWAYS be a very powerful company. The WWE is so powerful and rich, they’ll be around forever. It’s going to be hard to take them out of business.

While I don’t see the WWE going away, I can see AEW helping them, though. Maybe one day WWE will wake up and give what the fans want after they see what AEW do? I wouldn’t be surprised that WWE will give us more wrestling after the AEW ppv “Double or Nothing”.

There is no doubt that this is going be a huge ratings war between AEW and WWE but WWE will never go away. Even if AEW is finally here, that still doesn’t mean I’m giving up on WWE ’cause I’ll still support both companies. I love wrestling, ya know? While it’s interesting that a lot of fans believe that WWE will be gone soon, it’s not gonna happen. Like I said above, I think AEW will try to help improve WWE’s product.

AEW exploded ’cause everyone wants to see wrestling which WWE don’t give us anymore. Maybe they will now, ya know?

Also, a lot of people mistakenly believe that AEW is just for the indies. Ya know, stuff like NJPW, ROH and things like that. Um, no. AEW maybe full of independent talent but AEW is a world wide and a big national promotion. They are a pretty huge company, they are pretty much the next WCW. AEW will have many former WWE guys on the roster and many former WCW guys. AEW will sign any talent from any other wrestling company. Their first WCW/WWE guy was Chris Jericho and then Jon Moxley (formerly known as Dean Ambrose) made his debut at “Double or Nothing”. I think there will be many more WCW and WWE guys on their way to AEW.

Competition is always cool, though. I’m a huge fan of AEW and I love what they’re doing. What they’re doing is pretty ballsy. They’re giving us wrestling like no other company would. We haven’t seen wrestling in a long long time. There was wrestling in the early 80’s and early 90’s but pro wrestling stopped in 2000’s years and it was all sports entertainment. We don’t want sports entertainment, we want wrestling. That’s what we watch these shows for but Vince doesn’t get it yet. Maybe he’ll get it now that AEW is here? Who knows!

“Rambo: Last Blood” is looking pretty sick… could it end up being the best Rambo film??? We’ll see…

I love the video footage Sly shared with us above from “Rambo: Last Blood”. The movie is looking freakin’ awesome so far. It is looking more and more like the first Rambo movie, “First Blood”.

Only thing I’m disappointed about is that I’m kind of with everyone that I wished Rambo didn’t get a haircut. I prefer him with the long hair more but so far, this movie is still looking badass.

I’m sure we’ll see plenty of violence and action. I’ll be there to see this movie in theaters in Sept. and can’t wait.

Getting stronger on bench and feeling real good too… on the road to 200 lb. bench…

I know I’m getting stronger on bench ’cause I just did a 145 lbs. for a triple and 150 lbs. for a double today which is something I’ve never done before. I’m going to work really hard on bench press this summer in hopes of making it to 200 lb. bench in time before the push/pull powerlifting meet in August. I believe I can get there before then, we’ll see. Felt great about today’s bench press session, though.

De-load week is over so back to strength training. Tomorrow is leg day so we’ll see how I do on squats.

Review of AEW “Double Or Nothing”… their very first ppv… overall it was an excellent show, I was impressed!!!

So last night on ppv, I watched the very first AEW ppv called “Double or Nothing” which took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. That’s the venue where a lot of UFC ppv’s were held at.

For a long while now as you all know, AEW is a new wrestling company that just got put in business and their very first ppv, “Double or Nothing” has been creating a lot of buzz in the wrestling world. I couldn’t resist this one and had to see it for myself. I just wanted to see how different they do things and yes, they are way different than other wrestling companies out there.

“Double Or Nothing” really was worth the $50 ’cause I thought the show was fucking awesome all the way through. I wasn’t bored one bit. It was phenomenal and everybody put on a great show. If you didn’t watch it then you really missed out ’cause if you love “professional wrestling”, you’ll see exactly that. AEW is exploding in the wrestling scene ’cause WWE stopped giving us wrestling years ago. WWE calls their brand “sports entertainment” and it’s more family friendly. AEW is more suitable for people that are older.

AEW wrestling really is a breath of fresh air. They gave us true pro wrestling and they called it “wrestling”. I enjoyed every match last night and wasn’t bored one bit. Even the pre-show matches and women’s division matches were really good.

Of course, the best matches of the night last night were The Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros., Cody Rhodes vs. Dustin Rhodes and Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega. Those three matches would come down as classics years from now. For a long while now, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega has been creating a lot of buzz in the wrestling community and I can see why. After seeing those guys wrestle last night for the first time, I was blown away. They really are incredibly talented and I’m glad they went to AEW instead of WWE. Speaking of WWE, that company tried to sign The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega but they weren’t interested in working with WWE so they went to AEW instead. Smart move ’cause WWE wouldn’t have used them right anyway, ya know?

Last night had some shocking appearances by Awesome Kong, Bret The Htman Hart and Dean Ambrose (who went under the name of Jon Moxley in AEW). They were big surprises for sure and I never saw them coming.

Some of you may ask is AEW at war with WWE? Oh yes, absolutely they are ’cause before the Cody vs. Dustin match, Cody took out a sledgehammer from under the ring and smashed Triple H’s throne with it at the top of the ramp. That was sending a clear message to Triple H and the McMahon’s so of course they are at war with WWE. Do you see what’s going on here? Fans and the wrestlers themselves want to see “wrestling” make a comeback since we’ve haven’t seen that in a long time. That’s why AEW is here ’cause they want to bring us “wrestling”.

Last night was an exciting show and I thought Tony Khan (owner of AEW) did a great job with “Double or Nothing”. I’m probably gonna continue to watch AEW ’cause I’m a new fan. I’ll probably watch their next ppv and I’ll watch them whenever they get on TNT network on cable TV.

Vince McMahon should take note, though. This is what we all want to see is “wrestling” but Vince doesn’t get it yet. Now that AEW is here, Vince is gonna do all he can to compete with them so I hope Vince is ready. Could AEW take over WWE’s spotlight? Yes, I believe they could. Wrestling fans all over America are getting fed up at the way Vince has been running WWE and now that AEW is here, I can see a lot of them jumping ship.

In the future, I can see even more former WCW and WWE talent getting signed to AEW. I can see more current stars leaving WWE and TNA for AEW. I hope Vince is ready for this.

Will Hulk Hogan ever sign a contract to AEW? Who knows. He’s currently back in contract with WWE but I can see Hulk going to AEW in the future, sure.

AEW is a pretty new company and they got a lot to do ahead of us. They announced the AEW Championship and I’m sure they’ll create more championships in the future. I’m sure they’ll have tag team belts, a belt for the cruiser weights, they’ll have a belt for the women’s division and all that stuff. I’m sure we’re gonna get cage matches soon. All this stuff will be coming. It takes time ’cause they are a new company.

Yeah, AEW is about to take over the world and they are about to change wrestling forever. Time to move over WWE. Still doesn’t mean I’ll give up on WWE, though. I’ll support both AEW and WWE.

Glad I watched it last night!

Gonna be watching “AEW: Double or Nothing” on ppv tonight… really curious about it so couldn’t resist…

So tonight I’m going to be watching a wrestling ppv on TV called “Double or Nothing”… which is a show hosted by a new wrestling company called All Elite Wrestling (AEW). As you probably heard by now, this company has been sparking a lot of buzz in the wrestling community and very quickly AEW is exploding already in the wrestling world. They are a brand new company and they are already getting popular fast.

Since I’ve been hearing a lot about this company, I’ve been keeping an eye on it ’cause I’m curious about it. I’ve been doing a lot of reading about AEW and I’ve been hearing Chris Jericho talking a lot about it. I’ve also been hearing the AEW owner Tony Khan talk a lot about it. The AEW wrestling company has some former WWE guys and some former WCW talent too. There are also a bunch of other new guys on the roster we’ve never heard before.

Keep in mind that AEW isn’t really an independent wrestling company. They are pretty much a national company who are in competition with WWE. It has been said that AEW is a way different company than WWE. The team behind AEW promises they’ll bring us wrestling which we haven’t seen in a long time. Maybe that’s why AEW is getting popular ’cause AEW gives us wrestling and WWE doesn’t.

The main reason why I’m watching “Double or Nothing” tonight is because of the Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega match which is the one to keep an eye out for. That match could end up being the greatest match in a long time but we’ll see tonight.

I’m also looking forward to seeing the rest of the show to see what AEW is like. Since AEW is not WWE, this is not going to be on the WWE Network… it’s going to be on regular ppv so I bought the “Double or Nothing” wrestling ppv early this morning and I’m going to watch it later tonight.

Yeah, I’m a pro wrestling fanatic and nerd. I don’t just watch WWE only, I try to watch as much pro wrestling as I possibly can ’cause I like supporting it. If tonight’s “Double or Nothing” turns out to be really good then I’ll probably continue to support AEW ’cause AEW is about to get on cable TV real soon.

I love wrestling and I’m not ashamed of it. I’ll review “Double or Nothing” tomorrow. Hope it’s worth the $50. I’m sure it will turn out really good but I’m sure Jericho vs. Omeaga will end up being the best match of the night. Looking forward to the show. ‘

I love music, can’t live without it…

I purchased some music from the Itunes store this week. Haven’t bought albums in a long while so I figure I’ll get some. Wanted to catch up on some newer albums that I’ve been wanting to get like the new Dream Theater album “Distance Over Time” which is a pretty sick album. I love Dream Theater… they’re one of my favorite bands and I’m trying to collect all their albums. I’ve been interested in the new Sammy Hagar and the Circle album too… their record “Space Between” rocks. Listened to Hagar’s “Space Between” album at the gym and that’s a sick album and Sammy’s still got it. I’ve been wanting to get Trey Anastasio’s new album “Ghosts of the Forest” for a long while and finally got it. That too is a really great record. As for Queensryche “The Verdict”, I’ve been getting into those guys more and more and trying to get more of their stuff so I picked up their new album which is also really good.

As for Larkin Poe, I think I found my new obsession. Larkin Poe is a great new artist that I discovered through Guitar World magazine so I decided to check them out for myself. Larkin Poe is a female duo who plays a mix of country, blues and rock n’ roll. One girl plays the guitar and sings, the other girl plays slide guitar.

As for Beck “Mellow Gold”, like the instagram post says, I used to have that album when I was young back in high school but lost the album so I re-bought it digitally. It was priced at $5.99 on Itunes so I decided to get it. I listened to that album at the gym and I still remember every song on that record. It’s a great record for sure. I love Beck. Have been a huge Beck fan for a long time and still trying to collect all his music as well. Beck is a talented songwriter.

I’ll probably get some more albums from Itunes in a few weeks ’cause there is still more I want to get. Some people may find it questionable that I buy a lot of albums but I can’t help myself, ya know? I love music. Can’t live without it and gotta be around music all the time. I’ve always loved to support bands and artists. That’s who I’ve always been. Yeah, the music industry maybe very liberal with their politics but I don’t care about their political views really… it’s the music I care about. If the artist is good, I’ll support them. That’s how it goes.

It’s de-load week at the gym and feeling really good too!!!

Yeah, it’s de-load week at the gym this week. Yesterday I did a very light chest day and early this morning I did a very light leg day. Seriously, I lifted everything pretty light and only doing about 8 reps on everything. I am noticing the difference between heavy days and lighter days. On the lighter days, you don’t feel as fatigue which feels awesome really.

As a powerlifter, I think I’m going to need de-load weeks more often and I think I will start having a de-load week after every 3 weeks of heavy lifting. Sounds good to me.

Some of you may say… “But you can’t get muscle gains and strength gains having light days”. Of course you can. Its important to have light days ’cause it helps give you plenty of time for the muscles to repair and recover quicker. That’s why “De-load” weeks are very useful.

It really is a bad idea to lift super-heavy week after week nonstop ’cause it’s bad for the nervous system or the CNS is what they all call it. I’m glad I took a de-load this week and I’ll take another de-load week next week too ’cause I really need it. Honestly, I did feel a little beat up doing all that heavy lifting and now I’m feeling a lot better.

After the two de-load weeks are all over, I’ll probably get my strength back for bench, squat and deadlift. Doing de-load week for squat, I finally got the depth right and I will keep doing squats this way from now on.

Gotta leave your ego at the door sometimes ’cause it’s important to have those light weeks. You can get muscle and strength gains doing light lifting… don’t listen to those idiots that say you can’t.

1993 action film “Cliffhanger” that starred Sylvester Stallone is getting a reboot but will have a female starring in the leading role…

Stallone’s 1993 hit action film “Cliffhanger” that was directed by Renny Harlin and also starring Michael Rooker and John Lithgow is getting a complete reboot. Stallone’s “Cliffhanger” came out 26 years ago… yeah, the film was that long ago and it was a smash hit in the box office. I remember when the original “Cliffhanger” came out and I loved the movie ever since. Still do love the film… it’s definitely one of Sly’s best action films outside of Rambo.

The reboot film is going to be completely different, though. Will the story of the reboot be about a bunch of bad guys trying to find cases of money spread around snowy mountain areas like the original? No probably not. I’m sure most of the reboot will be taken place on a mountain throughout the whole film but I’m sure the story is gonna be different. I’m sure the story of the reboot will have bad guys going after the leading character, though… except the leading character in the “Cliffhanger” reboot will be female.

The director will be female too as they already hired a director but they haven’t found their female lead yet. The director is  goona be Ana Lily Amirpour.

Hang On, Cannes! Neal Moritz’s Female-Fronted ‘Cliffhanger’ Reboot Climbs With Rocket Science, CAA

I wonder who they’re gonna get for the female lead? Will they get a big name star or will they get a complete unknown? No doubt she is gonna be young. They should probably get an actress who has some action movie experience, though… actresses such as Gina Carano, Michelle Rodriguez, Zoe Saldana, Noomi Rapace, Alicia Vikander, Natalie Portman, etc. I can see one of them getting the role.

Some of you may ask, is Sly himself upset with this project? Nope. It seems to me that he’s all for it and he definitely supports it. Straight from his instagram about the reboot:

Will I go see the “Cliffhanger” reboot when it comes out? I would… depending on who the female lead is going to be and I’ll wait to see a trailer first before making a decision.

I’ll be keeping an eye on this project, though.

I don’t think “Game of Thrones” is over for good… it could get turned into a film series… don’t worry fans…

I didn’t watch the final season of Game of Thrones since I don’t have HBO. I wish I could watch it on TV like everyone else but since I can’t afford HBO, I just buy all the seasons on DVD/BluRay. I do have all 7 seasons on DVD/BluRay. I have the first 6 seasons on DVD and season 7 on BluRay but I will get the final season which is Season 8 on BluRay when it comes out for sure.

Anyhow, I’m not upset that the show “Game of Thrones” has ended on TV. That’s on TV but for the big screen? Over the years there have always been talks of a big screen “Game of Thrones” movie so don’t rule that out yet, folks. Sure, George R.R. Martin didn’t finish the sixth book “The Winds of Winter” yet so HBO didn’t make it in time to adapt “The Winds of Winter” book into the show. I’m thinking though that “The Winds of Winter” which is book six could get made into a big screen movie for Hollywood.

Over thee years, there were other hit TV shows that got made into big screen movies especially shows like “Star Trek”, “Sex In the City”, “Mission Impossible”, “The Addams Family”, “The A-Team”, “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Charlie’s Angels”, “The Muppets”, “The X-Files” and the list goes on.

Could the same happen for “Game of Thrones”??? Yes, absolutely. I haven’t seen the final episode of “GOT” yet but I’m sure the ending left open for more in the future. The “Game of Thrones” movie may not happen right away ’cause I hear the writers for “Game of Thrones” will be writing their Star Wars trilogy next so a “Game of Thrones” movie may take a while. I can see the cast and crew of “Game of Thrones” reuniting for a big screen movie years from now. We’ll have to wait until George finishes book 6 and then maybe they’ll make it into a movie. That’s probably what’s gonna happen.

I do love “Game of Thrones”, though. Always did. I’ve been with them since the beginning and still a loyal fan now. I didn’t watch the final season yet so I will wait for the BluRay release which could come out later this year hopefully.
