BREAKING NEWS: Alec Baldwin plans to quit acting in 2012…

Film actor and TV star, Alec Baldwin, announced some shocking news that he is quitting acting in, 2012. Is he serious or full of shit? Me, thinks he’s full of it. This guy claims his film career was a failure, but I disagree with him.

More on it here:

http://www.usmagazine.com/moviestvmusic/news/alec-baldwin-im-quitting-acting-in-2012-20093011

He claims his film career is not a box office success?

Hello, Alec, I think he’s delusional and just fucking with us, look at his box office mojo….

http://boxofficemojo.com/people/chart/?id=alecbaldwin.htm

He also claims that in order to become an actor, you must have the acting talent that drives the film?

I thought he was fantastic in “Hunt for the Red October” and “Glengarry Glenross”. Those two roles were amazing and delivered them. What would those movies be like if he wasn’t in them? Did you see his cameo in “Glengarry Glenross” when he’s yelling and screaming at a bunch of sales men? Great performance.

“The Hunt For the Red October” was his biggest role, so how could he call that a failure?

What about his role in, “The Departed” which is an Oscar winner and “Pearl Harbor” which is a box office hit?

He next stars in a film with Steve Martin and Meryl Streep, that film is getting big and getting a lot of recogntion as it already is. So how can he call his career a failure? Man he is so wrong.

I don’t think he’s quitting. Publicity stunt.

BREAKING NEWS: Paul Greengrass will not do “Bourne 4″…

Paul Greengrass, the director, who made, “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum”, has decided to drop out of directing, “Bourne 4”. Paul says he will still be involved with the film, however, but not as director.

Read more here at Variety:

http://weblogs.variety.com/bfdealmemo/2009/12/greengrass-makes-exit-statement-on-bourne.html

This is kind of sad news and good news at the same time. Why sad? Because Paul did a brilliant job directing the last two movies. I think the Bourne trilogy is amazing, I love them all three of them. The good news, I think they will find a better director to make “Bourne 4” a more action packed film. It’s going to be interesting to see who they are going to pick as the next director.

They could even get Doug Liman back who directed the first one, “The Bourne Identity”, never know.

Thought: Blog post of the day by Iaz…

I just wanted to respond to this post a little bit, by Tobiaz, an upstate NY songwriter:

http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=61560782&blogId=520495372

“I can’t begin to tell you how hard I’ve been working on recording this new album “East Side Gallery” and the levels that the plays are getting for the preview tracks to this album don’t exactly thrill me. This year I have rode the bicycle to the studio. Not even reaching 50,000 plays that’s crazy for the amount of effort and dedication that I happen to be involved in recording the new album. It has been a long road to get to this point. I hope people are not telling me to rush the release of this album because it won’t happen. I’m in a decent studio and I can’t begin to express how I want this album to be an immense success it will deserve it because I’m not even close to having the album done. It is all cool to now be certified with 29,000 friends but the other levels count as well.”

Reality check time – That’s good that he’s working extremely hard on his new album (or demo CD, in fact…). Dude, all bands work on their albums extremely hard. That doesn’t mean the album will be an immediate success ’cause you’ve worked hard on it. I mean, this guy has got 29,000 friends in his myspace and very low plays in his song tracks.

He’s in his blog calling them all fans and supporters when I’m noticing that most of it’s just bands advertising their own music. This is a perfect example of musicians trying to make themselves look popular online.

Iaz is a good dude and all, but honestly, he says a lot of things that are really whacky. He’s in there complaining about how this area doesn’t ask him to play gigs, when I’ve told him plenty of times that this area’s venues don’t go around asking musicians to play. Bands and musicians have to get the gigs themselves, that’s the way it works. Gigs don’t fall in your lap, dude. Gotta go out and get ’em yourself if you want to be a successful, “artist”. Send your demos out to the venues and they’ll get back to ya, that’s how this game goes.

His music is alright and he’s an ok performer but sometimes I think he’s living in dreamland. Myspace is not a good tool to promote your music which is why I refuse to go back there. If he thinks myspace is going to make him big, then there is something wrong.

Thought: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th show review…

So last night, I watched, the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary” concert, which took place at Madison Square Garden for two nights in a row in, New York City. The headlining acts included Jerry Lee Lewis, “Crosby, Stills and Nash”, Paul Simon solo, Simon and Garfunkel, Metallica, Aretha Franklin, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, etc.

I must say, it was a really good show, I was impressed with it. The first half of the show was really amazing, but toward the end got kind of boring.

Tom Hanks, opened the show with a little introduction, then Jerry Lee Lewis came on the stage, banging “Great Balls of Fire” on his piano even almost at 80 years old. Jerry Lee Lewis still has it, he can still sing and play killer piano as always. Like he always does at the end of the song, he’ll stand up and kick the piano seat down, then he stood up, picked up the piano seat and threw it on the floor, and he is an old guy doing that!

Crosby, Stills and Nash, came on, and they put on an amazing performance. They still got it after all these years. The crowd in NYC gave ’em a standing ovation. When CSN invited Bonnie Raitt to the stage to sing a slow acoustic ballad, it blew my fucking mind. Bonnie Raitt has always been amazing and she still is. She’s a helluva singer.

Paul Simon played a solo set that was awesome, he kicked it right off with “You Can Call Me Al” and his vocals were quite impressive during that song. After his set, of course, Paul Simon had to bring out Art Garfunkel to the stage. Simon Garfunkel did their most well known songs, “The Sounds of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, Not Fade Away, The Boxer, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Cecilia”. It was an amazing set. I think this would have to be my favorite performance of the entire show. It was very powerful. I honestly think Art Garfunkel can sing way better than Paul Simon. Art sings beautifully, his voice is haunting.

After this Stevie Wonder came on stage, going from a variety of special guests from Smokey Robinson to John Legend to B.B. King. My favorite songs Stevie did was “Superstition” with Jeff Beck and MJ’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” with John Legend. Stevie Wonder is always amazing, he just never sucks every time he goes on stage.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were very dissapointing, not good. Only great performance that Bruce did was when he played with Tom Morello on the “Ghost of Tom Joad”, now that was an incredibly tight performance. Bruce wrote the song “Ghost of Tom Joad”, and he had Tom Morello perform with him ’cause Rage Against the Machine covered it. Bruce played the song acoustically on the album, this was full band electric. Tom and Bruce were trading licks and solos back and forth. As usual Tom Morello playing very unique guitar techniques that no one else could have played. I think Bruce was looking a little embarrassed up there ’cause he knew that Tom is a better guitar player than him. That was a really good performance but the rest of Bruce’s set was kind of boring.

Metallica however, they were ok, but nothing that great, that time. I wished they choosed better songs. It was kind of boring hearing Lou Reed play the same three chords through “Sweet Jane”, that was all he played, making it look too easy for Metallica to improvise on. The same with Ozzy and Ray Davies, choosing simple songs that the band could play.

Ozzy did a good job, but it was kind of hard to watch him. There is Ozzy the TV reality star, not the metal god he once was. He destroyed his music career and music image by becoming part of the gossip celebrity world, in the reality TV stuff. I lost my respect for Ozzy.

U2 was not good at all. I’m not really a fan of U2 anymore ’cause I’ve about had it with Bono’s ego lately.

Other than that, this was a decent show. I wished Eric Clapton didn’t pull out of this gig ’cause I can see Eric jamming on stage with his old friends like Jeff Beck for starters, B.B. King and maybe even Jimmy Page. That would have been kind of cool to see Eric, Jeff and Jimmy Page on stage together performing old Yardbirds songs which I’m sure would have happened if Eric Clapton didn’t pull out of the gig.

It was a cool show though, I liked it.

Thought: Tiger Woods car crash drama…

Who says Tiger Woods can’t be a drama queen? Even sports top players can get into gossip and soap opera. Everyone sees Tiger being a nice and down to earth guy, but now everyone is starting to see his true colors.

Tiger is not a friendly guy that everyone wants him to be?

Since after his bizarre accident, he’s been acting strange. Him and his wife, not getting along? A divorce on the way for Tiger? I kind of blame that on the accident. I don’t blame it on alcohol or drugs, ’cause Tiger seems like a perfectly healthy guy.

I just think Tiger crashed his car ’cause his anger with his wife distracted his driving. It’s obvious isn’t it?

How much do you want to bet that there will be a huge divorce with Tiger and his wife later this week?

Mistakes people make in bodybuilding/fitness (including myself)…

In begginner’s bodybuilding, many of us make mistakes, including myself. Hey, everyone make mistakes, right? Even the profesional and more experienced bodybuilder’s make ’em too.

From what I learned so far in bodybuilding, here are some of the mistakes I learned from:

  • I must sign up for my local gym – Not really. You don’t have to sign up for a monthly subscription at your local gym in town. What local gym’s are for, it’s for fitness people who don’t have their own workout equipment at home. You don’t even need expensive fitness equipment and machines at all. It takes knowledge to know the right workouts that aren’t needed for fancy machines. The gym is really pointless when you can do all that same stuff at home for free. I used to think the gym was needed, but after thinking about it, they are just here to take your money from ya. If you do careful research, bodybuilding and fitness workout can be for free, and you don’t have to pay anything at all to get in shape.
  • I must workout every single day – I made this mistake when I first started. I’m sure everyone does. All you need is three or four days a week.
  • I must workout all day for hours, the more the better – That is a big no, no, right there. All you need is an hour or so. I usually workout no more than an hour for each 3 days.
  • I must do each body part in one day – That is also a big no, no. They do this thing called, a 3 or 4 day split. Put a program together on a piece of paper and work it out. Select which body part and the exercise to do on each day. I would choose no more than 6 – 7 workouts each day you work out, but do different body parts. I always do upper body stuff first, and then lower body the next day.
  • I must workout all year long, non stop – That is also a no, no. It’s very important to take breaks and a lot of days off once in a while. Your body needs some rest and repairing. It’s cool to take a week or two off like maybe a couple of times a year. I’m currently taking a little time off from fitness myself, to rest up.
  • To get big and monstrous arms, I must do  a bunch of bicep curls – Bicep curls are useful, but you must work your entire arm. Must work the upper and lower forearms, triceps and shoulders. The secret to getting HUGE arms, I mean HUGE, is work on mostly triceps. That’s the main target you want to concentrate on the most.
  • I have to use bench press for a bigger chest – Most everyone thinks they need a bench press, but if you’re not physical enough to use one, then don’t get one. Use whatever exercise that is safe for you to get bigger chest muscles. Bench press isn’t really important, there is a wide variety of chest exercises out there. To me, I think the dumbbell flies and various push ups is all I need for a bigger chest. I don’t think I’ll ever go near a bench press but that’s just me. Maybe someday, I’ll try a bench press, but it’s unlikely I’ll bench a lot.
  • I must do hours of cardio – Nope. Doing hours of cardio is over training. It’s the same way as overtraining when lifting weights, too. Hours of cardio maybe good for losing weight, but it is certainly not going to get you ripped. I’m trying to get bigger and stronger, to do that, you must concentrate on less cardio. One day a week for 20 minutes is good enough for me.
  • I must eat healthy all the time – It is recommended but you don’t really need to. I’ve heard from many other experienced bodybuilder’s that it’s still cool to put some calories and carbs on ya. It is important to eat a lot which is what I’m trying to work on.
  • I need a personal trainer – You don’t really need one. All it takes is research and knowledgement for you to get ripped your own way. Personal trainers can be very expensive, a lot more than gyms. There are ways to get in shape for free.
  • I still like to drink alcohol sometimes to have a good time – Wrong. Bodybuilders also make the mistake that they can drink while training. You must give up that and the smoking, completely.

That’s all, if I can think of more, I’ll edit them in.

First photos of “Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of Dawn Treader” released…

The official “Chronicles of Narnia” facebook page released three photos from the new “Voyage of Dawn Treader” that is filming now.

I am a huge fan of the “Chronicles of Narnia” series, ’cause I love the books and loved the first two films that came out.

I’m really looking forward to this one. Now that these series aren’t owned by Disney anymore, expect more violence and more blood as well. Can’t wait for this!

There you have it, folks. Celebrities are not beautiful and perfect as you all think. If you think women like Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie, Pam Anderson, Carmen Electra, etc. really look like this, think again. The reality is, these famous people are normal people like us. A lot of them don’t really have perfectly shaped and beautiful boobs as you see them in the movies or in Playboy. The ones that do have perfect looking boobs are implants anyways.

The men don’t even really look good for real either. This is why you shouldn’t obsess with how beautiful celebs are ’cause a lot of them are fake.
