I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.
I know I said I hated Tom Cruise and refuse to see any movie that stars the man, well, I lied. I had grown into wanting to see “Valkyrie” that stars Tom Cruise. The only thing is, I’m not seeing the movie for him. I’m seeing the movie ’cause Bryan Singer is one of my favorite film makers, plus the film has Terence Stamp in it.
The plot to “Valkyrie” is also very interesting. The film comes out Dec. 25th. I’ll probably see it the day after Christmas ’cause I go to the movies every year the day after Christmas. Could get this film get the Oscar nod for “Best Picture”? It could, never know. The Oscars are always unpredictable every year.
I’m looking forward to seeing “Valkyrie” and I’ll review it of course. It’ll probably be the final film I’ll see in the year 2008.
Happy Birthday to one of the greatest singers in rock history, The Doors is very important to me. They’re an influence into my own songwriting too. Happy 65th to the Lizard King!!! My vocals have been compared to Morrison’s when I’m performing live before. My favorite Doors songs below.
Female director; Catherine Hardwicke, who directed “Twilight”, has parted ways with Summit Entertainment, that she will NOT direct the sequel, “New Moon”. Although, the film was very successful and pulled in $138.6 million, the reason for Hardwicke not doing the next film is that she wanted to rush it. She wanted the film done quickly. Summit Entertainment did not want that.
Summit wanted to take their time with the sequel “New Moon” because the next one will require a lot of CGI work, due to the werewolves being the main thing about the film. Summit did not fire her. They do not have any negative grudges. It was a decision agreed with the both of them.
This is great news actually. While I did like the “Twilight” film, I’ll admit that the film still needed a lot of work and I felt it was rushed.
They should get a male director for the next one. They should get a horror director that knows a lot about vampires and werewolves since “New Moon” will have both.
Summit should give “New Moon” to M. Night Shyamalan to direct. You know that director for “The Sixth Sense”, “Unbreakable” and “Signs”? Sam Raimi isn’t a bad choice either.
Give the Twilight series to a really good male director to improve the franchise. Especially if they’re going to use a lot of CGI for “New Moon” like they said, getting a male director is the best thing to do. Male directors know the CGI stuff more than the women directors.
Looking forward to see who the director is going to be. Hope it’s somebody good! I hope they don’t give it to Bret Ratner, that’s what I’m worried about.
Roy Orbison was the shit. Orbison was amazing, I LOVED listening to Orbison. Orbison had one of the greatest singing voices in the history of music. Forget all the crap going on in the music industry today and pay respect to Roy Orbison!!! RIP Roy!!!
Slutty Cyrus, has announced, she is set to star in the sequel to the 1987 comedy film, “Adventures in Babysitting” that starred Elisabeth Shue. No word on who the director is and what the plot will be for the sequel. This isn’t a remake from the 1987 film, it is a sequel.
Expect the media to hype this one up a lot more than “Twilight”.
I wonder if Elizabeth Shue herself will reprise role as Chris Parker for the sequel? They should get Elizabeth back if they want to make the film to work and they need to bring back Vincent D’ Onofrio as Thor. If they can bring those two back in the film, then it would give people a reason to see it and the film would have more of an audience than just little tweens.
Back in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, the A&R guy would just walk into a bar room and sign a rock band to a major label if he likes their music. Today, it isn’t like that anymore. These days you must have a profesional demo package and an agent to send to a major label if you want a deal. It’s very difficult to any unsigned band and artist to get a record deal of their dreams because these record companies are very greedy and have so much power up their ass. These days they will only sign you if you’re mainstream material. Sad.
MTV used to be nothing but music videos in the 80’s and early 90’s…today MTV is just garbage. All stupid reality shows and stupid late night video countdown shit.
Napster used to be free of downloading music. When Napster “used” to be free of downloading songs from the internet, I used to have Napster back then and I used to download a shitload of songs. Man, I miss those days. Thanks to Lars and Metallica who took that away from us.
Music used to be real in the past…these days music is fake manufactured shit. Bands and artists being put together by the industry. Boy bands and rap artists who don’t have actual talent and lip synching live on stage when their “fans” fail to see the truth that most boy bands and rappers are fake. I am also including some of today’s rock bands that are also fake and manufactured (examples: the Jonas Brothers, Nickelback, Korn, etc.)
Myspace wasn’t around to take over the music industry. Myspace is destroying the music industry as it already is.
90’s grunge rock was around…I miss the old days of grunge rock…Soundgarden, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, etc. Aaaaahhh, I miss those days terribly. The only surviving grunge band that is still together is obviously Pearl Jam. Alice In Chains came back with a new singer though.
The RIAA wasn’t around. They too are destroying the music industry.
People were buying CD’s. People don’t buy CD’s at record stores anymore, these days people downloading payable songs from Itunes and other paying download sites.
Music used to be good in the older days. I hate most of today’s music. I can’t stand the hype of most of today’s artists: The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Britney, Madonna, etc. They’re all talentless and so fake. The only time I “will” like a band or artist in today’s industry if a band that I liked for a long time came out with a new album like Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Ac/Dc, U2, etc. Other than that, most of today’s music is such garbage which is why I prefer to listen to unsigned and indie bands these days.
That’s all I can think of, feel free to continue down the list.
The Playstation 3 has been out for a few years now, so you wonder why there hasn’t been a Batman action/adventure videogame out yet? Well your wish just came true Batman fans!!! There is a brand new Batman game coming out soon (release date yet to be known) and you can see the trailer for it here:
The game is being released for the PS3, Xbox360 and CDROM. I predict the game will get released either at the end of 2009 or early 2010. The game looks fucking sweet too!
Finally, you get to play Batman the caped crusader to fight against his enemy, the Joker. This is another game I’m looking forward to getting.
A legendary supermodel, Bettie Page, who was known for her magazine pinups in the 1950’s has been hospitalized and in a coma after a heart attack. She’s been in the hospital for at least three weeks due to pneumonia but she suffered a heart attack when she was about ready to be released. She is now 85 years old.
In the 50’s, she has been one of the first supermodels other than Marilyn Monroe to appear in Playboy as a centerfold cover girl. Bettie Page has taken pics everything from bikini to bondage to totally nude to hardcore pornographic photos, she’s done it all.
….describes OJ’s future in a prison while they are planning to fight for an appeal. The Juice will be staying at, High Desert State Prison, in Nevada that is pretty much way out in the desert.
Google search photos of High Desert State Prison, in Nevada, so you can see what the inside of the prison will look like.
The Juice will be treated there like every other inmate, like I said before. The prison gaurds won’t treat him like he’s some sort of celebrity and famous person, they’ll treat him like a regular inmate.
OJ won’t be locked in a room so he can be safe from other inmates to be protected, he’ll be able to spend time with other inmates. The Juice will be in a small cell and he probably will be in a cell with another inmate, as most prisons has two inmates for each cell.
Meals will cost $2.18 per day and per inmate with inmates being forced to have a strict diet, but they will get priviliges to eat good meals like hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, and chicken.
Gabriel Grasso, one of Juice’s attorney’s, claims other prisoners will treat him well and make friends with him because the Juice has been buying other inmates snacks in the small county jail. Sorry Grasso buddy, but a “prison” is NO county jail. Inmates in a prison act differently than inmates in a county jail, big difference.
Most state prison inmates aren’t very nice people. Most don’t want to be talked with or don’t want to be messed with, you can even get beaten badily by a group of inmates even if you look at them for a second.
OJ will learn what a real prison is all about and seriously, I don’t think he’ll be able handle it, although, the Juice seems like a tough guy in the real world. Sure, there will be a lot of inmates that will think OJ is a god of a legend and they will be thrilled that a famous person is in their prison, but I’m sure there will be a few inmates in there that won’t be too fond of him. There will be a few in there that will be jealous of him and will hate him as well.
The prison life is no fun and he’ll realize it as soon as he spends his first night there. If you think prison life is easy and would be no problem, then you’re so wrong. Watch the reality show “Lock Up” on MSNBC, the shows are about what life in prison is like around the U.S. I watch MSNBC a lot because they have good shows on there and “Lock Up” is pretty interesting.
Some said here in my blog that the prison will treat OJ like a celebrity, well, I don’t think so. He’s not gonna like it, trust me. He’ll continue to fight to get released. Just had to prove my point.
When OJ is gone, I don’t see him being gone for good. Expect OJ to do in prison interviews with Matt Lauer, Oprah, Barbara Walters, etc. TV will be all over it.

Edit to add: Just found a video the Associated Press made of what it looks like at High Desert State Prison. Have fun Juice!
When “The Dark Knight” was first released earlier this summer, everyone was hoping for Heath Ledger to get an Oscar award for Best Supporting Actor, it looks like the film may just get more than that. The film is getting very close to getting a nomination for “Best Picture”, “Best Director for Christopher Nolan”, and even Christian Bale is considered for “Best Male In a Leading Role”. Expect the film to get more nominations like “Best Sound”, “Best Editing”, “Best Costuming”, etc.
The only nomination “The Dark Knight” will NOT get is for “Best Musical Score”, remember the Academy disqualified them for the musical score.
If “The Dark Knight”, “Frost/Nixon”, “Milk” and “Benjamin Button” do get nominated for “Best Picture” this year, which they probably will, this will be quite an interesting competition!!
I just know “The Dark Knight” will sweep everything and make history! A comic book superhero film never made the Oscars before and this could be the first time! Lets hope it will be the first time. I would be thrilled if “The Dark Knight” sweeps the Oscars as it would be amazing. If “Lord of the Rings: Return of the King” can do it, so can “The Dark Knight”.
I don’t see “Milk” winning it ’cause that film is about a gay politician and if that film “Milk” gets “Best Picture” award, it could create controversy in the media. I don’t see “Frost/Nixon” winning “Best Picture” because Ron Howard seems to be hogging the Oscars everytime he makes a film, time to give someone else a chance. I don’t think Fincher’s “Benjamin Button” is even worthy of an award.
This is why I think “The Dark Knight” is going to win it no matter who is nominated. I sure can’t wait to see the official nominations. Since the Oscars is on Feb. 22nd of ’09, we’ll get the nominations at the end of January since “The Dark Knight” is coming back out in theaters that month. “The Dark Knight” will win Best Picture for 2009, mark my words.
