Thought: Eddie Vedder doing acoustic folk music…he should do “more” of it…

While many are not fans of Eddie Vedder’s longtime band Pearl Jam, I would still strongly suggest you check out his acoustic solo work for his soundtrack to the movie “Into the Wild”. Vedder composed all the music on the soundtrack except for one track Kaki King has a song in the movie too but it’s not included in the soundtrack since “Into the Wild” is strictly Eddie Vedder’s album.

Eddie Vedder’s acoustic work is truly beautiful stuff….really, he does a very good job at it. I really think Vedder should continue the acoustic folk genre whenever he takes a break from Pearl Jam. He should definitely do another acoustic solo CD in the future.

Next time I go to the mall, I also plan on picking up the DVD for “Into the Wild” and Vedder’s soundtrack album to the movie as well. Eddie Vedder’s acoustic music is probably the best acoustic music I’ve heard in years…

Listen to these tracks to see what I mean, check out these songs “Society” and “Rise”. I’m actually thinking about learning the chords to these songs so I can cover them myself. I’m just blown away and Vedder’s singing just sends chills down my spine in these songs with the great melody and vocal lines. I’m kind of upset at the Oscars for not nominating Eddie Vedder for Best Soundtrack, he truly deserves an Oscar for this.

Enjoy and happy easter.

Thought: About the Rock being part of Wrestlemania…

Speaking of the Rock being at Wrestlemania, I just thought of this. The Rock will induct his father Rocky Johnson and his grandfather Peter Maivia into the Wrestling Hall of Fame. So WM-24 will do a special Hall of Fame tribute during the show, so we’ll definitely see the Rock be part of Wrestlemania. He’ll definitely be there for sure, I just forgot about that. He have to be there ’cause he’s inducting family members into the hall of fame.

As far as the Rock being part of a match, who knows. Maybe the Rock will be part of that “24 Man Battle Royal” thing, he won’t win but at least he’ll be part of the match to entertain fans. Maybe the Rock will interfere the Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather match. Rock could help Floyd pick up the win.

Anyway, I can’t believe I just forgot about this. Whether the Rock performs in a wrestling match or not, it’ll still be good to see him at Wrestlemania. It be great to see the Rock do his signature moves again, The Rock Bottom and the People’s Elbow.

Either way, he will be a part of something there at WM-24 ’cause since he’s inducting family members there, the fans will expect Rocky to perform in a little match there or something to keep the fans happy.

Report: Ashley Alexandra Dupre already had her fifteen minutes of fame with Girls Gone Wild…

Ashley Alexandra Dupre or real name “Kristen” or whatever you want to call her, already had her fifteen minutes of fame way before the Elliot Spitzer scandal. The Spitzer girl was filmed dancing on the GGW bus when she was just 17 years old. She may have been underage then but she was legal celebrating her 18th birthday and as long as she was in her consent, it is okay for GGW to film her dancing flashing her private parts to the camera.

TMZ showed that video on their website but it was “censored”. GGW plans on releasing the uncensored version of the DVD FREE along with the first issue of GGW magazine when it hits the newstands.

See the TMZ report here:

http://www.tmz.com/2008/03/22/dupre-and-ggw-a-match-made-in-wild-heaven/

I’ll probably get the first issue of GGW magazine ’cause I’m curious of seeing the Ashley Dupre dancing on the bus video, the uncensored version. I’ll be on the lookout on when the first issue of the magazine will be released.

Report: The Beatles sue to stop 1962 tapes from releasing…

Lawyers of the Beatles sued to prevent distribution of unreleased recordings made during Ringo Star’s first performance with the band in 1962. Apple Corps Ltd. claims that the unreleased songs were taped without the consent of the band and Fuego Entertainment had no right to distribute them. Feugo defended themselves by saying the recordings were legally made. Feugo president says that they had not been served a copy of the $15 million dollar lawsuit.

Hmmmm…I wonder if Yoko is behind this one.

Thought: Wrestlemania 24 looks like a pile of crap…

Wrestlemania is just around the corner, it will happen on March 30th on ppv. Wrestlemania 24 is happening live at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. So Wrestlemania 24 is obviously going to be an outside event this time around. WM-24 will be hosted by Snoop Dogg to help promote his new album “Ego Trippin'”.

So far the card is:

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Champion: Triple H vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Champion: Edge vs. The Undertaker

Floyd Mayweather vs. The Big Show (not sure what type of match they’ll have just yet)

Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Career Threatening Match: Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels HBK

24 Man Battle Royal – Winner Faces ECW Champion

Finlay vs. JBL – Belfast Brawl

Bunnymania Lumberjack Match: Candice and Maria vs. The Glamazon and Melina

This year’s Wrestlemania doesn’t look too exciting at all. It basically feels like a regular RAW episode. The only matches I look forward to seeing at this year’s Wrestlemania is “Ric Flair vs. HBK” and “Finlay vs. JBL”.

I don’t think we’re gonna get any of the returning past superstars for a one time apearrance. There’s a slight chance that Stone Cold Steve Austin may be a part of WM-24, I don’t think we’ll even see the Rock there. Don’t even know if Mick Foley will be a part of it this year.

I don’t like how the wrestling industry is going these days. There is no more star power. All the guys that we looked after in the wrestling industry is gone. No more Hulk Hogan, no more Eddie Guerrero, and no more Chris Benoit (who was one of the bests in the industry due to horrible tragic events that we all know about). While we do have guys like Triple H, John Cena and Randy Orton, those three will never be in the same league as the Rock and Stone Cold.

WWE is not good anymore. I’ll still watch “Wrestlemania 24” of course but it’s gonna be no different than other ppv’s. WWE needs wrestlers that we all can look after too just like we all looked after Hulk Hogan, The Rock and Stone Cold. WWE doesn’t have that anymore. While WWE superstars try to rise to the top like Hogan, Stone Cold and the Rock, those three men will never be replaced. Those three guys are the ones that made WWE mainstream. There will never be wrestlers like them ever again.

WWE has always been a flop and it’s gotten worse since the Benoit tragedy. It’s no wonder UFC is way more popular than WWE now.

What can Vince McMahon do to make WWE huge again like it once was in the 80’s? I’ll have a topic on that soon. A week before Wrestlemania I will make my matches predictions when the card is done.

Film Review: Into the Wild…

Starring: Emile Hirsch, Marcia Gay Harden, William Hurt, Vince Vaughn

Written and directed by: Sean Penn

Last night I rented the movie “Into the Wild” from my local video store. I’ve been wanting to see this film for a long time and finally able to now that it’s out on DVD. The movie was adapted from the novel by author Jon Krakauer. This story is based on a “real” event, it really happened in “real” life.

The movie tells a story about a young college man named Christopher McCandless who just graduated from college at Emory University, he was a top student who was very intelligent and a talented sports athlete. After college, he then all of a sudden gave his $24,000 of savings to charity and started traveling across the United States to Alaska. He was a good looking kid that the girls would like and he had all kinds of opportunities after college.

Christopher dreamed of living in the wild to be away from society, to be away from his abusive parents, and to be away from how the world is running. Christopher didn’t want anything in his life. He didn’t want his family, he didn’t want a good career, he didn’t want money, etc. He threw everything away and left everything behind by disappearing. Christopher hated the world so much that he wanted to be alone, all he cared about was complete freedom.

So to get that freedom, he lived in an old school bus in Alaska called “The Magic Bus”. While he’s living in the “Magic Bus” the movie would show flashback scenes of his past as he’s growing up and his traveling adventures.

The mystery that everyone has been talking about for years is why this man would throw his life away and live in a bus in Alaska? The 142 Magic Bus still remains in the same spot in Alaska today where Christopher passed away in due to starvation.

As far as my thoughts on the movie goes, I was blown away. It’s also one of the greatest films I’ve seen in years other than “No Country For Old Men”. “Into the Wild” is Sean Penn’s best film. Just a perfect, beautiful film all around “Into the Wild” is. The acting was excellent, the pacing was good. The composed music by Eddie Vedder was incredible.

Not really much to say about it since I loved the movie too much and that’s all there is that need to be said really. Give the film a rent. I may have gave out the ending but this is based on the real story, so everyone knows that Christopher McCandless died in real life anyway so I did not really spoil anything.

It’s an interesting story that keeps you questioning and makes me want to read the novel, next time I go to the mall to do some shopping, I’ll look for it at the bookstore. Please give the film a rent or even buy the DVD is worth it too.

Film score for “Into the Wild”: **** (as in excellent)

Thought: Ac/Dc is due for a comeback by now, don’tcha think?

So, the major label industry is going down the toilet. National rock music is dead. Pop music has taken over. What does this world need so people can start buying records again? Yes, this world is in need of an AC/DC comeback!!!!

AC/DC has not released a new album since the year 2000, which was the album “Stiff Upper Lip”. It’s been 8 years since they haven’t released a new record. So this is no surprise that the band will go on another very long hiatus. The band has always been known to do this, take long breaks in between albums.

The band is not broken up. They are still together. Because if you look on the bands official website: http://www.acdcrocks.com/, you can see the band is doing whatever they can to keep their fans happy while they are on their break. Ac/Dc just released a live DVD set “Plug Me In” (which kicks total ass by the way, I own it) and they are holding a contest where you can win Cliff Williams autographed bass signed by the man himself. So there’s more proof that the band is not broken up.

What the world needs is an Ac/Dc comeback. A huge one. Ac/Dc needs to take over the music industry again. The national music industry is dying. Please come out and save it Ac/Dc. We NEED YOU! We need the true gods of rock with a new album and tour to follow it. I totally miss Brian Johnson, and the guys. Angus Young has always been one of my favorite guitarists and he’s a hero of mine.

Please come back dudes! Grow some big balls and stop hiding. I feel that Ac/Dc is writing a new album and it will be the best they’ve ever done. “Stiff Upper Lip” was an ok album but trust me, their next album will be better. If they’ve taken a break this long, they’re probably taking their slow time with the next one.

The boys in Ac/Dc will be back, I promise you that.

Report: Padalecki in for “Friday the 13th” remake…

Actor Jared Padalecki is in final negotiations to star the “lead” in the “Friday the 13th” remake. Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes is producing the film for New Line and Paramount Pictures.

Paramount Pictures released the original “Friday the 13th” film in 1980 introducing the iconic serial killer at the end of the film, while Jason Voorhees’s mother is playing the lead. The remake will focus on the serial killer wearing the hockey mask, Jason will play the lead in the remake instead of the mother.

Padalecki is NOT signed to play Jason Voorhees. He is signed to play the regular leading role, a good guy where he visits Camp Crystal Lake and investigates the murders that’s been happening on the camp.

You’ve probably seen Padalecki in the “House of Wax” remake.

The Hollywood  Reporter reports:

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3ibd61f147f35609ae4b2be059ef8b3489

The Friday the 13th remake is actually sounding decent so far. I personally think Rob Zombie should be the one directing this though.

Hope they don’t screw this one up.

The “Friday” series has been a hit for years, that’s why the movies kept going.

It has a chance to be a box office smash.

Thought: My wishlist for “Rambo V”…

Here are some thoughts that I would like to see in “Rambo V”, this is just a fun topic.

My Rambo V wishlist:

-To be at least either 2 hours or 2 1/2 hours long, Rambo (2008) was only 93 minutes and the next one needs to be a lot longer.

-Please have a longer flashback sequence to Col. Trautman, Rambo (2008) had a tiny tribute for Trautman.

-Bring back Brian Dennehy for Will Teasle.

-LOSE THAT SHIRT RAMBO!!!! Aw man, I remember in “First Blood Part II”, holy cow, Sly’s muscles were massively HUGE in that film. In Rambo (2008), he never took off his shirt once. Sly needs to do it in the next one! If Sly was able to be confident enough to take off his shirt for “Rocky Balboa”, he should have done it in Rambo (2008). It’s not a gay thing, it’s just that when you watch a Rambo movie, you always expect Rambo to take off his shirt while he’s tying the bandanna.

-Rambo’s hair should be a lot longer.

-Rambo should talk less, in “Rambo” (2008) Rambo talked a lot throughout most of the film really. I like the quiet Rambo where whenever he has something to say he says something small and brief or don’t say anything at all. That’s what makes him a tough guy.

-Sly should work on the Rambo dialogue better. While I do love the movie “Rambo” (2008) very much, Sly should speak Rambo’s voice a little better. Hope he does it better in the next film so he can speak like the real Rambo from the first three films. That really deep voice in Rambo was cool in the first three films, Sly didn’t have that in the new one.

-Bring back Julie Benz, whether she becomes Rambo’s wife or not in the next one, it’ll still be great to see her back.

-Make the violence still having the blood and gore.

That’s all I can think of for now.
