I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Just bought new albums by Dream Theater, Jerry Cantrell and Mastodon this week and got a few other older albums as well…

Yesterday, I decided to buy some more music from Itunes for my massive digital library.

I know Dream Theater came out with another new album already this year, “A View From the Top of the World” and I’ve been wanting to get that album for a while so I got it. I’m a huge Dream Theater fan and own every studio album they’ve done so I get everything they come out with now.

I also got the new solo album by Jerry Cantrell, the Alice In Chains guitarist who has a side solo career but he only releases occasionally, not very often ’cause he’s mostly focused on AIC. Well Cantrell finally released a new solo album called “Brighten” which I also got. “Brighten” is his first solo album since “Degradation Trip” in 2002 so that’s a long time. I love Jerry Cantrell solo music as I love his first album “Boggy Depot” as well and I’ve seen Cantrell perform live in concert years ago during the “Degradation Trip” tour. I wish he would release solo records more ’cause he’s great at that.

I also got the new album by Mastodon “Hushed and Grim”. I love the band Mastodon as I’ve just started getting into them and been listening to them for a while. I only have a few albums by them, though and trying to get more of their stuff. I also have their albums “Blood Mountain” and “Emperor of Sand”. Along with “Hushed and Grim” their new album, I also bought their very first album “Remission” along with it yesterday. Mastodon is a great band and been loving them the more I listen to them.

I did get a couple of other older albums as well…

I ended up getting Neil Young and Crazy Horse “Everybody Knows this Is No Where” and Neil Young’s latest album “Colorado”. Yeah, Neil’s politics sucks ass but he’s still an amazing musician and songwriter, I still love listening to him despite politics. I stayed away from buying Neil Young albums for a long while but think I’m gonna get back into them. I’ve been listening to Neil Young music ever since I was a teenager pretty much. Loved his music for a long time and still do admittedly.

I’ve also got the classic CSNY album “Deja Vu” also Neil Young which I’m a huge fan of that album and never really had a copy of that album until now and I would like to get a copy of that album on vinyl too.

For something different, I decided to get a pop and R&B album by artist named Aaliyah, her hit album “Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number”. Yeah, I do like some pop and R&B music believe it or not. Sometimes I gotta listen to different stuff. Honestly, I’ve been getting into pop and R&B more. It’s good stuff… some pop can be really good so I decided to start getting into Aaliyah. I’ve been buying more pop, R&B and rap albums myself lately.

Hope everyone had a good and safe Halloween, it was alright for me…

Hope y’all had a good and safe Halloween yesterday. It was alright for me.

I spent the whole month of Oct. watching a horror movie marathon. Not all in one shot but like one or two movies a night. On streaming, I watched all of the Phantasm movies, all of the Leprechaun movies and re-watched the first 6 “Nightmare on Elm St.” movies all on the Peacock streaming.

I’ve also watched a bunch of old horror classics like “Phantom of the Opera” (1943 version) and “Nosferatu The Vampyre” (the 1979) version. I’ve also watched “The Bride of Frankenstein”, “The Invisible Man” (original) and the Creature from the Black Lagoon”. I also watched a few movies with Bela Lugosi “The Raven” and “White Zombie” which were also really good. I also watched the Frank Langella version of “Dracula” (1979) and “The Brides of Dracula” (1960). Another monster movie classic I watched is “Frankenstein Meets WolfMan” also awesome.

I’ve also watched the first three “Wishmaster” movies on Pluto TV but they took the fourth one off, bummer. I’m planning to get the “Wishmaster” movies on BluRay in the future anyway ’cause I love them.

On Hulu, I watched the three “I Spit On Your Grave” movies… loved the first two but hated the third one. The third one sucked.

I also watched the first “Fear Street – Part 1” on Netflix last week which was really good and gotta watch the other two sometime this week.

What did I watch on Halloween weekend? On Saturday night, I re-watched “Midsommar” the Ari Aster horror film on BluRay and still love that film. That film got mixed reviews but I fucking loved it. Totally original and different.

On Halloween night itself, I decided to binge watch 4 horror films. “Dracula” w/ Bela Lugosi (1931) , “the Wolf Man” (w/ Lon Chaney 1941) and the 1977 version of “Suspiria” all on BluRay… and then I watched George A. Romero’s “Day of the Dead” (which is a movie I’ve never seen before but really good, I loved that one too).

That’s it for horror movie marathon for Oct. but hey, I can watch horror movies anytime I want to… they don’t have to be just for Oct. or Halloween ’cause I’m a huge horror movie buff. I just love the horror genre. Loved horror fiction all my life! I’ve been into horror films and books ever since I was a kid really.

My Top 15 Favorite Horror Films Of All Time…

I haven’t done this list in a long while for Halloween but I thought I would do it this year… name my top 15 favorite horror films of all time! They can be from the old classics to newer films… it don’t matter to me. A good movie is a good movie!

Here is the list in no particular order, I’ll just list ’em with no explanation really ’cause if I’m listing them that’s when you’ll know they’re really good and they are all around perfect movies and I love ’em all to death:

  • Halloween (1978, John Carpenter w/ Jamie Lee Curtis)
  • The Exorcist (1973, William Friedkin w/ Linda Blair)
  • The Omen (1976, Richard Donner w/ Gregory Peck)
  • Suspiria (1977, Dario Argento w/ Jessica Harper)
  • The Conjuring (2013, James Wan w/ Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson)
  • Dracula (1931, Tod Browning w/ Bela Lugosi)
  • The Ring (2002, Gore Verbinski w/ Naomi Watts)
  • Nightmare on Elm St. (1984, Wes Craven w/ Robert Englund and Heather Langenkamp)
  • Psycho (1960, Alfred Hitchock w/ Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh)
  • Carnival of Souls (1962, Herk Harvey w/ Candice Hilligoss)
  • Freaks (1932, Tod Browning w/ Olga Baclanova)
  • Midsommar (2019, Ari Aster w/ Florence Pugh)
  • It – Chapter 1 and 2 (2017, Andres Muscietti w/ Bill Skarsgard)
  • Saw – the first one (2004, James Wan w/ Danny Glover and Cary Elwes)

Enjoy the list. I recommend all those movies. So many great horror films out there ’cause I’ve seen so many and yes, I’m a big time horror film nerd!

Don’t be afraid to let go of toxic people if they give you too much of a headache, you deserve peace and happiness in your life…

Over the years of my life, I’ve let go lots of friends that I thought were pretty toxic to me. People that I thought were cool and were a true friend but suddenly they turn into a toxic person. Give you so much drama and negativity and all that stuff. They argue with you all the time and get a bit dramatic, blah blah blah.

It’s so funny though, seeing people in FB complaining about how fake they’re friends are and always complaining about them but they don’t do anything about it. Hmmm, if someone is being toxic to you, all you have to do is eliminate them from your life.

What I do is when I kick out toxic people from my life is I don’t bother telling them. I just block them on social media and they just never hear from me again, that’s it really. There’s no sense of telling them you no longer want to be friends and no longer want to talk ’cause there’s no point in arguing. It’ll just make things worse. It’s best that you just ignore that person and pretend that they are dead to you, know what I’m saying? It’s that easy really.

I’ve kicked out plenty of people out of my life that gave me too much of a headache. Other people may not like it, some will go, “why are you kicking out people that were your friends”? Well? It’s my life, ya know? So it’s my choice of who I want to be in it or not. If I no longer like someone, it’s my right to give them the boot out of my life. That’s your right too and it’s totally okay to take out toxic people. If they give you trouble, then why continue to talk to them?

If you don’t want negativity and drama, it’s best to get ’em out. Only allow people in y our life that you like and accept people that likes you for you ’cause you will find out who your true friends are.

I’ve got friends in my life sure, not a whole gang of ’em but I hang out with a few cool people and talk to some online regularly. I know who are the good people and who are not. If someone is in my life still then that totally means that I like that person and totally believe in them.

You deserve peace and happiness and you gotta let negativity and drama go. Don’t be afraid to get rid of people that give you trouble, it’s totally okay. Life is short and don’t let negative people bring ya down.

Anti-Gun and NRA hating actor, Alec Baldwin shoots and kills female crew member and seriously hurts director on film set, now he’s officially a hypocrite on his obsession for gun control…

Alec Baldwin was filming a movie called “Rust” which is a Western movie I just found out and they were filming near Santa Fe, New Mexico. They were shooting a scene where Alec was required to use a prop gun and he accidently kills cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and seriously injured the director. They halted filming as soon as possible while the police investigates the incident and Alec the man himself has been cooperative 100%.

On twitter, I’m already seeing “AlecForPrison” over this trending… while I’m not a fan of Mr. Baldwin, I don’t like him at all… I don’t think he’ll get charged for this but it was simply an accident. I would say though that this makes him looks like a hypocrite after being so anti-gun and hating on the NRA for so many years. Yet the man continues to use guns himself in action films, thrillers and now Westerns.

https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/alec-baldwin-breaks-silence-after-killing-crew-member

Yeah, prop guns are fake but they can still be just as dangerous. It wasn’t the first time ’cause Brandon Lee was killed by one while filming “The Crow” movie.

Accidents happen.

Yeah, movies are fake and make believe but if actors really wanted us to take their “anti-gun” arguments seriously then they would stop starring in movies that uses guns but they don’t. They continue to star in violent movies with guns even though they continue to debate about gun violence in the media.

RIP to Halyna Hutchins and speedy recovery and well wishes to the director, though. They didn’t deserve that and god bless their families. While Mr. Baldwin probably won’t get charged, the family of Halyna Hutchins could file a civil lawsuit against Baldwin and the studios if they wanted to and the director Joel Souza could do the same. I doubt Joel will sue ’cause he would know it was just an accident but Halyna’s family might sue, though. We’ll have to see what happens.

Terrible thing that happened but Hollywood movie stars really need to look at their hypocrisy when it comes to gun control and their anti-gun violence.

How would they think about gun safety after this one?

Speaking of Ted Nugent, Tom Morello speaks out on his friendship with him…

Ya know, Tom Morello is right that he does reserve the right to be friends with whoever he wants. Yes, there is this thing called “agree to disagree” so what happened to that lately? They may have political differences but like Tom said, he’s not afraid to confront Ted about some stuff… I’m sure they try their best to keep politics away from music ’cause to me, that’s what they’re friendship is about “music”.

Why did they get together as close bros? Musical interests I would say… maybe their tastes in music is what got them together and also mutual respect is another reason. They just respect each others musical talents ya know? Tom thinks Ted is a great guitar player and Ted thinks Tom is a great guitar player.

It is completely okay for a die-hard conservative to be friends with leftist people. I’m a die-hard conservative myself, just so you know and I’ve had plenty of local musicians that were pretty leftist who refused to talk with me over “political differences”. Freakin’ bullshit if you ask me.

We definitely need this more in the musicians community…. musicians getting together despite the political differences. Politics isn’t everything, it’s about the music. It is possible to put politics aside away from music. It’s real sad to see that leftist musicians hating on conservative musicians and vice versa, it happens both ways.

Tom Morello is a very leftist guy yes but that man himself is also a badass guitar player, I admire his playing too.

While I’m a die-hard conservative admittedly, I do support plenty of bands & artists who are very leftist but I support them ’cause simply their music is good. It’s about the music, not about their political views. It’s definitely possible to keep politics separate from music. Try it sometime? It’s not healthy to live like that, hating on each other ’cause of political differences.

https://www.loudersound.com/news/tom-morello-defends-unlikely-friendship-with-ted-nugent-i-reserve-the-right-to-be-friends-with-anybody

Anyhow, don’t be surprised if you see some kind of Ted Nugent and Tom Morello collaboration coming. I’m sure they already discussed that so maybe they’re waiting for the right time? You know they’re gonna end up doing something musically.

Ted Nugent is a goat rock star who deserves to get respected more in the music industry, was he blacklisted because of his right wing politics?

Ted Nugent, a legendary rock musician who had one helluva career in his younger years. He maybe most well known for his anthems “Stranglehold” and “Cat Scratch Fever” but Ted has many hit songs then those.

No matter what your political views are, you can not deny that Ted is a monster guitar player. He used to be all over the main stream in the earlier days but he’s still doing pretty well for himself today. He’s still going… putting out studio records and touring. Although Ted has had another lead singer in his solo band, he is totally capable of singing lead himself which he is also pretty good at.

I think Ted was totally blacklisted from the music industry… why? Probably because for a couple of reasons: 1) His hardcore “right-wing” views 2) His strong support for the NRA and for the 2nd Amendment and 3) His love for hunting and killing animals (they give him so much shit for that too).

Some clues that Ted was blacklisted from the industry: Not in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame when he absolutely should be, not on covers of music magazines and guitar mags, doesn’t get booked for any big festivals, never was a musical guest for Saturday Night Live and I can go on and on.

He has been on late night talk shows like Letterman in his earlier years

Anyhow, for many years the mainstream media likes to try and make Ted to be this bad man when he isn’t really. He seems like a good guy to me. When I hear him talk, he’s almost always pretty positive and humble from what I hear. He’s not that outspoken like people wanna believe.

I admire Ted and always been a fan myself. I only have two albums by him though but plan on getting more of his music when I get around to it.

It may seem like Ted is the most hated guy but in reality, he’s actually the most respected… he is most respected in the right-wing community anyways but lefties can’t stand him.

Ted is a monster musician who deserves more respect. It’s about his music… not his political views. It’s okay to keep music and politics separate is there? There are plenty of bands & music artists that I love who are very “leftist” but I support ’em anyways ’cause it’s about the music, ya know? Politics isn’t everything. The point of this blog post is that I wish he would be more respected for his music.

Anyhow, “Stranglehold” is a monster song and I’m trying to learn it myself so I can cover it on video which will happen soon.

“Halloween Kills” was very impressive!!! Loved it!!!

So yesterday I saw the movie “Halloween Kills”, yes the new Michael Myers movie. As some of you may or may not know, this new Halloween series going on takes place after the first one, completely ignoring the rest of the series. So this new series is a continuation after the first one.

A lot of the characters are played by the same people from the first one except for that little kid in the first one, Tommy Doyle, the kid with the bowl cut hair who discovered the Boogeyman aka Michael Myers. The original actor who played Tommy Doyle, whose name is Brian Andrews is retired from acting I think. That’s why they ended up getting child star legend, Anthony Michael Hall to play Tommy instead. Yes, that Anthony Michael Hall who played in movies like “The Breakfast Club”, “Weird Science”, “Sixteen Candles”, “National Lampoon’s Vacation”, etc. He was part of the brat pack in the 80’s and now he’s one of the leading roles in a Halloween movie. Anthony Michael Hall did a good job, though. I was impressed with him.

Michael Myers is still being played by the same guy, Nick Castle. Of course, Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and the cop guy from the first one, Brackett is played by the same actor too.

I think the director David Gordon Green is doing a fine job with these movies. Does a good job trying to match Carpenter’s style. This is a guy who mostly makes Drama and Comedy films which is impressive, really.

I thought the story was pretty well written and the kills in this movie, man. The Myers kills in this movie getting real interesting and different. I don’t want to reveal any spoilers in this movie and I don’t want to say whether or not Laurie and Michael faces each other, you’ll have to find out yourself.

There’s one more Halloween movie after this one which will be the final one, “Halloween Ends” but it’s gonna be interesting to see how they’re gonna kill Michael for good.

Since this movie “Halloween Kills” is streaming on Peacock, I decided to watch movie on the big screen instead first ’cause that’s how movies were supposed to be seen, ya know? It’s more fun seeing movies on the big screen with the giant screen and loud speakers. I went to see it with a friend of mine ’cause not everybody subscribes to Peacock, ya know?

I’m probably gonna re-watch “Halloween Kills” ’cause I’m planning to start at the beginning with the Halloween (1978) and Halloween (2018). Halloween day is just around the corner and I’ve been watching a Halloween horror movie marathon myself.

“Halloween Kills” was brilliant but I”m sure the next movie is gonna be even better. Trust!

Congrats to William Shatner, he absolutely deserved that… real happy for him!

William Shatner played an outer space superhero named Cpt. James T. Kirk in the original Star Trek series. He played the character for three seasons in the original Star Trek TV series and he played the character for 6 big screen Star Trek movies and after that he played Cpt. Kirk once more for “Star Trek: Generations” which is a Star Trek: TNG spin off in which he teams up with Cpt. Picard in that film.

After all these years of playing Cpt. Kirk he never got to travel to space until now. Jeff Bezos is a die-hard Star Trek fan and he’s been trying to do something with William Shatner for a while and finally Bezos gave Shatner the opportunity to fly into space which happened earlier today.

Yeah, I did watch it live on the internet which was cool. As I was watching Shatner before lift-off, I was amazed how excited and thrilled he was looking but at the same time he was looking very nervous and a little scared. He admitted he was scared after it was all over with, though.

When it was over and he got out of the capsule safely and unhurt, he walked straight to Jeff Bezos to describe the experience which he totally deserved that to. The man deserved to tell his story but those other asshole people were celebrating loudly and interrupting Shatner’s speech… even Jeff was rude to Shatner a little bit. It’s like… come on… grow the hell up… stop celebrating like little kids and let him tell his story, those rude idiots!!!

Anyway, Shatner tried to describe what was it like travelling to space and described what it was like in space. Ya know, outer space isn’t like what you see in Star Trek at all. You know how in Star Trek when they fly all those ships and stars fly past and you see all kinds of lights and planets? All that’s a bunch of baloney… space don’t look like that at all as you all you’re gonna see when you get out there is nothing but “black”. No flying stars, no weird planets with multiple moons and none of that silly stuff like you see in the sci-fi films.

I’m a huge Star Trek fan, I’ve seen the original Trek TV show and seen all the Trek films so yeah, I’m a huge William Shatner fan and have been for years honestly.

I was proud and happy for him myself and he totally deserved that. Shatner did that ’cause he wanted to see what space was like himself after hearing about space for so many years which is what he’s mostly known for, a “sci fi” guy.

I mean, Shatner’s fucking 90 and he might as well do something huge ’cause you never know when he’s gonna go, ya know? You can only live once. May as well do something huge to cross off your bucket list. I’m sure Shatner wanted to do that for a long time.

I’m not a fan of that Bezos guy myself but what he did was cool. Congrats, Bill!

Thoughts about Gabby Petito strangulation… it’ll be hard to find out who did it but obviously Laundrie did it…

Yeah, I watched the Gabby autopsy results press conference earlier today and it was all a freakin’ joke to be honest. Reporters asking the dumbest questions and the coroner giving the dumbest answers, of course, there were a lot of “I can’t comment on that” by the coroner and he was only allowed to give details on certain things… like… Gabby wasn’t pregnant at the time and Gabby was already dead 3 or 4 weeks before her remains was found.

It’s going to be hard to prove who did it ’cause strangulation is hard to prove. It’s obvious this was all planned… it was someone’s intention to strangle her to death and just leave her out for dead in the wilderness.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/gabby-petito-cause-of-death

My heart goes out to Gabby’s family, though ’cause this is all heartbreaking. I’ve seen a few older videos with Gabby in them with her talking and she seems like a real sweet, down to earth and fun type of young woman. A good person like that didn’t deserve this at all.

Anyhow, who ever the strangler was didn’t use bare hands ’cause obviously fingerprints would have been left on the neck and I’m sure the coroner didn’t find any fingerprints or anything like that. Maybe Laundrie used gloves or something. If he used rope or wire there would have been marks all over the neck indicating that he did use something to strangle her with. He probably did use black rubber gloves to strangle her. It’s gonna be tough to find out who the strangler was. It was probably Laundrie yes but he needs to give himself up and turn himself in and confess. I think he’s still alive and out in hiding somewhere due to all rumors and speculation of him being dead.

This just further proves that people don’t go missing, ya know? People don’t vanish like magic. It’s a long and slow process to get the bottom of these cases but the truth will always come forth. It always does. They think they can get away with it but they won’t.
