Charlie Daniel’s latest “Soapbox”: To Tell The Truth…

I think this is Charlie Daniel’s best “Soapbox” write up. He’s so right that Obama elevated lying to a new art form. It’s just crazy. Sure, president’s lying over the years is nothing new. All Charlie is saying here that Obama made lying a lot worse. Everything that comes out of Obama’s mouth is a lie. Obama is a pathological liar. He never believed in telling the truth. Why? Like I said before, I think that’s the whole part of the Muslim thing. It’s what the Qur’an tells him to do.

If you believe that everything Obama or the rest of his administration says, then there is something definitely wrong with you. The last thing you wanna do is listen to those people. The last thing you wanna do is believe in them.

Why do delusional liberals still support Obama? Is it because they are misinformed with their politics and don’t know anything or they just enjoy Obama lying to the American people? I think a little bit of both.

This is why a lot of us have a hard time trying to take this guy seriously, Obama. His obsessive lying. He’ll never take responsibility for his actions. If he does something bad or commits a crime… he’ll cover himself, lie his head off about it and that’s how he gets away with these things.

It can’t be that difficult to pick up on his lies. When was the last time he told the truth about something? I’m sure you won’t be able to think of anything. This is why I can’t listen to his speeches anymore. I don’t see how anybody could listen to this asshole anymore. This guy is a fraud and lies about everything.

It doesn’t make any sense to me why idiots keep defending Obama and acts like he does nothing wrong no matter the situation after all the lies he gave us over the years. That’s why I’m pretty much done debating politics with everyone. I don’t care to hear anybody’s opinion anymore. From this point on, I’ll just get my opinions and thoughts on here and IGNORE everyone’s bullshit. Debating politics in this day and age is just pointless.

RIP: Jack Bruce 1943 – 2014

Even though the legendary band, Cream which had Eric Clapton (guitar), Jack Bruce (bass) and Ginger Baker (drums) only lasted for two years… the band’s music was still unforgettable and amazing. Sadly, we learned today that one of their members passed away which is their legendary bass player, Jack Bruce.

Cream was partly responsible for starting the psychedelic movement in rock music back in the late 60’s.

Jack was the one who wrote the main riff to “Sunshine Of Your Love” and it became one of the most important riffs in rock music history.

I love the music of Cream and we just lost one of the greats. Below are two videos of Cream’s reunion show at the Royal Albert Hall.

RIP, Jack!

Finally, “Honey Boo Boo” is off our TV!!! Good riddance, I’d say!!!

I’d say it’s about damn time this fucking garbage show got cancelled! YES!!!! This family should have never gotten a show to begin with. I hate Mama June and that girl Alana or “Honey Boo Boo” or whatever the fuck her name is, I don’t want to say hate since she’s young and all but I can say that she is definitely annoying. Most reality shows are pretty bad but this one was the worse.

As far as fat Mama June dating a sex offender goes, I’d say that’s karma for TLC giving her a TV show. Whatever it takes to get this show off the air, I’m happy.

I always hated that, “Honey Boo Boo” name. Not the kid, just the name itself. It’s just annoying and dumb. Why would you want to name a kid that? So fuckin’ stupid!!!

Pee Wee Herman starts posting cryptic teasers on “Top Secret New Pee Wee” movie…

Here we go. The Pee Wee Herman official facebook page just started teasing the new Pee Wee movie. Look like he’s about ready to announce it.

What’s the new Pee Wee movie gonna be about??? The last I heard, I think it’s gonna be, “Pee Wee’s Playhouse: The Movie” based on that TV show but the movie could be something different, though. If there’s gonna be a “Pee Wee’s Playhous” movie, then Laurence Fishburne needs to reprise his role as Cowboy Curtis!!!

In defense of Taylor Swift going pop…

There’s a lot of controversy over Taylor Swift going pop for her next album, “1989” which is about to get released next week. I really meant what I said when I said that I really dug her new song, “Shake It Off” and I’m probably gonna end up getting her new album, “1989”. Admittedly, I’ve always dug Taylor Swift’s music even her country stuff.

When I say that I dig Taylor Swift’s music, I usually get knocked for it and people make fun of me for it but I don’t care. Am I supposed to have the same taste in music with the majority of the public? No. I will like what I want to. While I mostly love to listen to rock n’ roll, hard rock, metal… I would listen to a little bit of everything else and that includes some pop and country.

When it comes to Taylor Swift’s new album, “1989”, I’m seeing a lot of angry comments from Taylor Swift fans who were fans of her country music stuff. She’s getting a lot of flak for switching to pop music. She’s getting a lot of pissed off fans threatening to never support her again and they even threatened they wouldn’t buy her new album ’cause of the genre change.

Stop. Time out.

Artists switching genres is nothing new in the music business. When artists decide to do something different, they get a lot of flak for it and controversy sparks out of their genre changes. I can name a bunch of examples…

Remember when Bob Dylan made the switch from folk music to full blown rock n’roll in 1965 when Dylan went electric at Newport??? Dylan fans gave him a lot of shit for that.

Neil Young switches genres all the time. He goes from acoustic music to full band electric with Crazy Horse… it’s always back and forth with Neil. This time Neil have changed genres and stayed away from acoustic/electric by doing an album with an orchestra with his next album called, “Storytone” about to get released next week too. Neil is getting a lot of mixed criticism for that too.

I remember when Metallica made the switch from thrash metal to alternative music with the release of “St. Anger”, “Load/Reload”. People gave them shit for that too.

David Bowie often changes genres from rock n’ roll to dance and electronic music.

U2 decided to go electronic music with their albums “Zooropa” and “POP”. Yes, they got a lot of flak for that too.

Led Zeppelin did the same with their “In Through The Outdoor” album. That album was a more mellower and different than the earlier albums ’cause it had more piano driven songs on it. The critical reception to “In Through The Outdoor” wasn’t very well received ’cause people expected them to play their usual hard rock stuff and they didn’t hear that on that album.

I respect artists that tries to do something ballsy and risky. They just want to try something different and if Taylor wants to try something different, more power to her. On top of that, I don’t think Taylor’s switch to pop music is gonna be a permanent thing. Maybe she will do a Neil Young kind of thing and she’ll switch back and forth to country and pop.

I respect Taylor for this ballsy move and I’ll probably get the new album ’cause of it. I’m liking the new songs I’m hearing on it so far.

Ozzy still hopes Bill Ward will be part of the upcoming farewell reunion…

Black Sabbath is not quite finished with their career yet. They have one last album and one last tour in the works; however, the band still wants Bill Ward to be a part of it. The reason? Ozzy simply wants the four original members to finish what they started.

Bill bailed out on the last reunion ’cause he complained that he didn’t get a negotiable contract so Sabbath went ahead without him. Why? Why did Sabbath go ahead without Bill Ward and didn’t give him what he requested? Was Bill asking for too much money? That’s probably it!

Like most fans, I’m hoping they bring Bill back ’cause Sabbath deserves to go out with it’s founding members. I’m sure Bill still can kill it on the drums. I just wish he would stop being so strict and greedy. It’s just music, Bill!!! Who needs a negotiable contract!!! Just go up there and play!!! The end!!!

Started watching “The Following” Season 2 last night on Netflix…

Last night, I started watching Season 2 of the TV show starring Kevin Bacon titled, “The Following”. Season 2 is already even better than the first season. If you wanna see a binge watch worthy show, this one will do it to you. This show will get you hooked from the very start. I like the Joe Carroll story who is a serial killer and cult leader. Kevin Bacon’s character, Ryan Hardy, tries to hunt him down and tries to stop the cult thing he started.

If you like binge watchy shows like “Game of Thrones”, “Dexter”, “Breaking Bad”, etc. Check out “The Following”. I’d suggest everyone to check out “The Following” so the show can continue to be successful and stay on the air.

Kevin Bacon have been in so many great movies over the years, he’s one of my favorites but this is the best thing he has ever been in. It’s his best role, indeed.

If you’re a Netflix subscriber or on Hulu Plus or where ever, definitely check this show out. I’m probably gonna watch some more tonight.

I’m so glad Christian Bale is playing Steve Jobs instead of Leo Dicaprio…. thank god!!!

One thing that I’m thankful for is that Leo Dicaprio did a good move pulling out of the Aaron Sorkin scripted, “Jobs” movie. Today, Aaron Sorkin himself just confirmed that Christian Bale is playing Steve Jobs.

There’s a lot of people complaining that why is Hollywood doing another Steve Jobs movie when they just did one with Ashton Kutcher? Yes. I know there is another one and I did see the Kutcher version. The Kutcher movie was pretty good but I didn’t think Kutcher played Steve Jobs very well. The movie was well written and was surprisingly pretty faithful to Steve’s story but Ashton wasn’t a good fit to playing Steve Jobs.

Christian Bale is a perfect fit and I think he’s gonna kill it. Of course, he’s gonna kill it. He’s fucking Christian Bale. He kills every role he plays in. My three favorite movies that Christian Bale has ever played in were: “The Fighter”, “3:10 To Yuma”, “American Psycho” and “American Hustle”. I’m sure there’s more great movies he played in but those I listed are my favorite.

He was an okay Batman but not the greatest, though.

As far as the Jobs movies go, I’ve heard that the Kutcher and Bale movies are gonna be completely different. Kutcher’s version was a straight up biopic, Bale’s version is not gonna be. I’ve heard that Aaron Sorkin only wrote three really long scenes for the film, that’s it. The Bale film is not gonna be what you think it is.

I’m looking forward to Sorkin’s “Jobs” movie. I’m just so glad Leo Dicaprio is no longer involved. I can’t stand Leo. Now that Bale’s in, I’m definitely gonna see this!

Slipknot, I really want to get their new album, “The Gray Chapter”…

In the past, I was never really interested in the masked and costumed metal band, Slipknot, until now. I’m very interested into getting into them. I’ve read too many interviews with the band through Guitar World magazine and the more I read about them, the more I get interested in their music. I’ve heard a few songs from their new album, “The Gray Chapter” that they just released and they really impressed the hell out of me. I think Corey Taylor and Jim Root are awesome musicians. They only have about 4 or 5 albums in their discography and I think I would want to try and get them all but I’m gonna get their new one first, though.

I know this band Slipknot is criticized for their weird masks and costumes but in the band’s defense, I think the masks and costumes are all for entertainment and for theatrical purposes. In the past, I used to be against bands who wear masks and costumes. Now I understand them. I completely understand why some bands do it. Why?

Some bands prefer to play anonymously because some of them don’t want people to know who they are. Why do some bands prefer to play music and hide their identities? Probably ’cause of the type of music they play. They write controversial lyrics in their songs and write heavy music — they probably don’t want their families and friends knowing that they play that stuff.

Another reason these bands play with masks and costumes is for entertainment and theatrical type of stuff… kind of like what Kiss and Gwar have done. You know how when you watch a play or a circus and you see people on stage wearing costumes and stuff??? Well bands wearing costumes is pretty much the same thing. Theatrical. For entertainment. They just think that bands wearing casual clothing like jeans and t-shirt is kind of boring so they want to put some excitement and thrills to their live shows.

Like I said bands wearing costumes used to bother me but not anymore. I kind of understand why they do what they do it now. I used to think they were a bunch of egotistical pricks who are out for attention but this is just their way of entertaining people. It’s their way of putting on different and creative rock concerts, ya know? Something fun.

I’ve been enjoying Slipknot more and more. Instead of bashing them and hating them, just actually listen to them. They’re really enjoyable. Looking forward to getting their new album soon. I just read an interview with Slipknot in the new Guitar World magazine with them on the cover and after reading that interview, really makes me want to get the album. I really like the band’s sound. This band really have matured and they’ve gotten better. Love their guitar sound.

New Pee Wee movie about to be announced???

Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman, dropped a big hint that he’s about to make a big announce pretty soon… possibly this week? He didn’t say what the announcement is gonna be yet but a lot of people are guessing that it’s gonna be another Pee Wee movie to the big screen. They just released “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” to Blu-Ray finally and that’s what made people to believe that there’s going to be another Pee Wee movie coming soon.

Over the last several years, Paul Reubens have been talking about doing more Pee Wee movies in the future and the first one he said he’s doing one with director Judd Apatow. That’s probably what the next film is gonna be.

I’m definitely all for another Pee Wee movie ’cause I love that character. Always had ever since I was a kid. “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” is one of my favorite movies of all time. Love that movie and still do! The second Pee Wee movie, “Big Top Pee Wee” sucked ass, though. I even used to watch “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” on TV when I was younger, admittedly. Pee Wee is just an entertaining and addicting character.

We deserve to have a good Pee Wee movie on the big screen. When the next Pee Wee movie returns to the big screen, they need to get Danny Elfman back on scoring the music. I hope they can get Danny Elfman back ’cause his score for “Big Adventure” was killer!!! I loved the music for that film.

I’m glad Paul Reubens is back at the character full time. Yeah, Paul had some trouble with the law in his past but that’s life, ya know? People make mistakes and he deserves forgiveness. Time to move on and let him live his life!
