Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts still hate each other???

At the Allman Brothers final Beacon shows in NYC, while they did make a tribute to Duane Allman quite a lot which is the whole point of the show… the Allman’s acted like Dickey Betts never existed. In a discussion about the shows in facebook, I’ve read that the band didn’t even give a tribute or a mention to Dickey Betts. They even left out all of Dickey’s songs he wrote with the band over the years which includes the hit, “Ramblin’ Man” which is a song I love.

Last night’s final show at the Beacon was a celebration of the Allman’s but if they were going to make it a celebration they would play songs spanning their entire career… well, they sort of did that a little bit but they completed ignored Dickey Betts. I’m almost pretty sure that Dickey helped formed the band with Gregg and Duane. Like I said before Dickey was the main songwriter of the band. Dickey was the one who helped the Allman Brothers get some success and fame. He was the one that made them for what they are.

Why did the Allman’s neglect Dickey Betts at the show last night? Do you think that what the Allman’s did to Dickey was a bit disrespectful to him? Gregg and Dickey still hate each other? Seems like it. So for them to neglect Dickey like that is kind of douchey.

I love the Allman Brothers, they are the greatest American band but I wish they would show more respect to Dickey. If it wasn’t for Dickey Betts, the Allman Brothers wouldn’t have gotten where they are now. They wouldn’t have had a 45 year career. While a lot of fan appreciate Derek and Warren being great guitarists, fans of the Allman’s seem to forget that Dickey was the true member.

Dickey should have been a part of the final show last night. Gregg should have worked things out with him and tried to bury the hatchet with him or something. Hopefully, we’ll soon find out why Dickey wasn’t there There’s a lot of fans of the Allman’s wondering why Dickey wasn’t a part of it. While it is kind of sad that the Allman’s is ending this soon, it’s even more disappointing that Dickey couldn’t reunite with the band.

Like I said once before, democrats/liberals in America are waking up about Obama and the democratic party but very slowly. Come on, America, you don’t need to side with your party on everything. What about being realistic for once???

I maybe a Republican/conservative but even I’m starting to be fed up with republicans ’cause a lot of them refuse to fight back at Obama’s lawlessness.

I’m tired of Democrats thinking there is nothing wrong with their party and thinking the world revolves around them. Kudos to these guys in this video for not thinking like that.

I think Obama’s president days are about to be over soon. I think all Democrats/liberals will soon turn their backs on Obama and that will be amazing if that happened. That’s what us Republicans wanted to begin with was for democrats/liberals to wake up and listen. Soon both republican and democrat will be fighting back at Obama. Democrats are slowly losing their respect for him.

Why didn’t Dickey Betts play with the Allman Brothers for their final show???

In the photo above is the Allman Brothers Band saying their goodbye to their fans after finishing last night’s show which is supposedly to be their final show ever. Yep, I guess the band is really done.

The only member missing in the photo above is obviously Dickey Betts. Dickey Betts is important to the Allman Brothers ’cause he was one of the band’s founding members and Dickey wrote most of their earlier material especially their well known hit, “Ramblin’ Man” which the Brothers didn’t play at the Beacon at all. I think Gregg said once in the past that they wouldn’t play any songs written by Dickey at their shows.

Remember, Dickey got thrown out of the band a long while back because of his alcoholism and short temper plus him and Gregg don’t get along too well. You would think Gregg and Dickey would try and bury the hatchet before the final shows? Maybe Gregg did try to ask Dickey to be a part of the final shows but Dickey said “No”???

As you can see it was a pretty long set. I read the show went on ’til like 1: 30 in the morning last night and their audience stayed for the whole show. I guess the band wanted these shows to be a celebration so they wanted to play as much music as they can possibly can.

Anyway, it kind of sucks that the Brothers are ending. I’m sure they would’ve went on longer if Derek and Warren didn’t decide to leave the band. Kind of wish I was there to see the show myself but I’m sure they’ll get released soon.

Thanks to the Brothers for 45 years of music. Wish there could have been more.

I’m pretty sure the band will release the final Beacon shows on CD and DVD/Bluray in 2015.

Walking in NYC Street for 10 hours Street Harassment thoughts…

This NYC street harassment video have gone viral and I’m sure you’re wondering my thoughts on it. I watched this video a couple of times. It was quite amazing really.

This video is about a beautiful woman walking the streets of NYC for 10 hours and she walks around silently. She tries her best not to react to guys “catcalling” her as she walks by. The video labeled it “street harassment” but after watching the video a couple of times, I didn’t see any “harassment” by men as she walks by.

From what I’ve seen most of the men were very friendly to her. Most of the comments she got from guys were “Hi, how are you”, “Smile”, and “Have a nice day”. That stuff is harassment? Wow. *shrugs shoulders*

If she were to get harassing comments, she would have gotten stuff like: “Hey sexy”, “Nice ass” or “Wanna fuck?”. She didn’t get any of that stuff did she? No.

Sure, a few guys in that video were pretty creepy to her like walking next to her and not saying anything but that’s about it.

I thought most of the guys talking to her as she walked by were very kind and polite to her. I know this woman was paid by HollaBack to do this to help bring awareness to “Street Harassment” but this is pretty stupid and a waste of time.

On top of that, women do the same thing to men. When a woman sees an an attractive and hot guy that she’s attracted to, you should hear all the comments that she gives them. I see this stuff all the time.

In my opinion, there’s nothing wrong with giving women nice compliments and telling her, “Hi how are you.” They love that kind of attention anyway.

Hollaback is just trying to do whatever it takes to get more attention and so people can donate money to them, that’s all they’re doing. Nothing to see here people, move along.

I’m predicting Republicans will dominate Congress on Nov. 4th next Tuesday…

So election day is next Tuesday, Nov. 4th. Will I vote next Tuesday? Not sure. Thinking about it. If I did, I would probably just go in and vote all republican like most Americans seem to be doing. It’s looking like that Republicans will dominate Congress next week. So far, it’s definitely looking like us Republicans are going to get our House and Senate.

Why is America desperate in wanting Republicans to take over Washington? It’s because the answer is really simple. We’re tired of the corrupt and broken democrat party. We feel that the democrats ruined America. We’re tired of democrats protecting Obama over his crimes. We’re tired of Democrat congressmans and senators committing crimes and getting away with it while Republicans go to jail for getting caught. I predict that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will get voted out. I predict John Boehner will get voted out too even though he is Republican.

A lot of people make the mistake to think that the reason that we want a Republican take over of Washington is ’cause to help get Obama impeached. Well, that is partly true. We do want republicans to take over to help get rid of Obama but it goes deeper than that. We want a Republican take over so we can help fix our country and get our country back. Democrats are delusional and they can’t see that our country is in bad shape either that or they just don’t care. We know that Republicans will fix our government and do something about it.

I think a Republican take over of D.C. is good actually. That’s what America needs. The democrats have been doing nothing but protecting Obama over his crimes and scandals. With a Republican lead Congress both the House and the Senate we could get to the bottom of each Obama crime and scandal more quicker

It’s gonna be interesting to see what’s gonna happen next Tuesday. I’ll probably pay attention to next Tuesday’s election. I do know that liberals and democrats in America wanna democrat take over but it’s looking like that’s not gonna happen. So liberals should be very scared of next Tuesday. If Democrats come in power again and they take over Congress with both the House and the Senate… that wouldn’t surprise me. Obama is gonna do whatever it takes for a democrat take over with a simple method of “voter fraud”. That’s how democrats stayed in power for the past several years by “voter fraud”. That’s how Obama got voted twice is by “voter fraud”. Hopefully, Republicans can stop the democrats from cheating elections.

I’m rooting for Republicans to takeover next Tuesday. It’ll be interesting to see how it turns out.

When you’re in a new band and you grab Jimmy Page’s attention — you know that band is going to be something very special. Jimmy Page gives the two man band, Royal Blood, a shout-out in this interview and Jimmy said he even went and saw them live ’cause he simply enjoyed them. It must be an amazing feeling for the two guys in Royal Blood when they find out that Jimmy Page appreciates their music!!!

Sharyl Attkisson, why she gets my full respect…

I love Sharyl Attkisson. I’m a huge fan of her work and have been following her blog posts, articles and facebook on a regular basis. Why? It was her that made me want to pay attention to Obama crimes like Benghazi, Operation: Fast and Furious, Obamacare, etc.

She’s one of the very few honest and real news journalists. Why? This woman has got the balls to be realistic about the criminal actions of the Obama administration. She also exposes the truth of how liberal media is protecting this administration. She left CBS news ’cause she was ordered to stop the stories on Benghazi, Operation: Fast and Furious, Benghazi, etc. So she told them to “Fuck off” and left the network. While the Obama administration is controlling the media, telling them what to report and what not to report… Sharyl refuses to be babysat by this administration. She’s one of the very few who refuses to protect this administration over their criminal actions. So for that, her computers and stuff are being hacked and bugged by the administration. Even though, she’s under surveillance of this administration just for speaking the truth about them… she still doesn’t back down. She still continues her honest reporting on Benghazi, Operation: Fast and Furious, Obamacare, etc.

This is why Sharyl gets my full respect. She’s the one who exposed the truth of this administrations “stonewalling” of all their crimes. You should follow her work yourself. She’s one who deserves to be called a “journalist”.

I’m planning on buying Sharyl’s book, “Stonewalled” and it comes out next week. I’ll be buying it on hardcover instead of the e-book.

She’s a tough and strong woman who’s not afraid to get to the truth no matter the consequences. She’s the one who brought to the people’s attention that the news media is full of liberal bias. Her book will prove how liberal media is protecting this administration. This woman has got balls for what she does.

There are two people in the media who I respect greatly and they are: Dinesh D’ Souza and Sharyl Attkisson. Huge fan of both. A lot of people look after them ’cause they tell the truth about Obama and his administration… they refuse to back down no matter how much trouble they get.

That’s called being an American and a patriot.

The Allman Brothers all done touring but not done recording studio albums???

All week long the Allman Brothers have been playing their 8 day final concert run at the Beacon Theater in NYC. They got two dates left at the Beacon which is tonight and tomorrow night. After tomorrow night, the Allman Brothers are done playing concerts but not for good, though…

Gregg is still opening doors for future reunions…

They maybe done playing concerts but Gregg didn’t say whether or not he’s done making studio records with the Allman’s. The Allman’s have 14 albums in their studio discography. Their latest album, “Hittin’ The Note”  was released in 2003. So I’m assuming that the band still have some new music left in them. I can’t see “Hittin’ The Note” being their final record so I’m sure the band will hit the studio again in the future. If they do decide to record another album in the future, will Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes still play guitar on it? Who knows. Their last album, “Hittin The Note” fucking kicks ass, btw. That’s my favorite record by them.

I love the Allman Brothers. I collected most of their albums in their discography. I only got 4 more of their studio albums left to buy and then I have their entire library. The only albums I need left of theirs are: “Reach For the Sky”, “Seven Turns”, “Shades of Two Worlds”, and “Brothers of the Road”. I’ll get those 4 albums sometime in the future. Once I get all their studio albums, I’ll work on collecting all their live albums too. Yes, I’m that big of a fan. I’ve become obsessed with this band all of a sudden.

I wish Dickey Betts and Gregg would bury the hatchet so they can help save the band but it kind of makes sense to end the band after Derek and Warren leaving. In my opinion: Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes are the Allman Brothers. If the band kept going with replacements, that wouldn’t be right.

The band is so amazing though. I wish I could be at the Beacon Theater in NYC to see their final shows. I never got to see them live. Ah well, I’m sure Gregg will release these final Allman’s shows at the Beacon on CD/DVD ’cause I’m sure they’re being recorded.

Why did I suddenly become obsessed with the Allman’s music??? Don’t know. They just grabbed my attention and I just kept listening to their music. The more I listened to them, the more music I want from them so I kept buying their studio albums from Itunes. Couldn’t help it. I became addicted to the Allman’s music. The band are genius’s for sure.

I’m noticing my taste in music is changing a little bit and I’m sure you notice that yourself. I’m slowly switching over to jam band music, blues, and jazz. I just like great guitar music. That’s how I like to hear music is listening to the guitar. Any band or solo artist that can play great guitar that can melt my face, then I’m probably gonna be a big fan of their music.

Thanks to the Allman’s for 40 years of kick ass music!!! I hope there could be more in the future.

Could Obama finally get impeached over “Operation: Fast and Furious” scandal???

Finally, Obama have been exposed for his cover-ups in one of his scandals… “Operation: Fast and Furious”. Obama have been caught protecting Eric Holder and his wife over the gun running operation. The gun running operation where they sent guns to Mexican drug lords which ended up in gun violence leaving one American dead… Brian Terry.

Obama have used executive privileges as a way to help hide Eric Holder’s e-mails to his family which had evidence that Holder lied to Congress when he first found out about “Operation: Fast and Furious”.

While this is good news, could this lead to Obama impeachment proceedings? Hopefully. We’ll just have to wait and see.

All this shows is that all Obama does is cover up all the crimes that happened under this administration. Obama have been covering up Benghazi, IRS, NSA and everything else you can think of.

When will people wake up that Obama is nothing but a fraud and a criminal? Will this latest report on “Operation: Fast and Furious” be good enough for liberals to see what kind of man Obama really is? I think no.

Hopefully this does get Obama in big trouble. He should have been in big trouble a long time ago as has done lots of impeachable offenses long before this. It’s amazing that he’s still standing and in the White House. Hopefully, he gets impeached and thrown in jail soon ’cause that’s what he really needs.

Now you know exactly why Eric Holder resigned all of a sudden.

Top 10 Reasons the Albany music scene is crap…

I probably did this list in the past a couple of times before but I’m gonna do it again. A lot of people wonder why I’m always critical about Albany’s music scene. I have been a part of the Albany’s music scene for over 10 years. Had my share of performing some gigs (which I don’t do much anymore) and I have supported other local bands shows (which I also don’t do much anymore). I have no interest in the Albany music scene as much as I used to.

In this list, I’m gonna name 10 reasons why I think the Albany music scene is crap. I know some musicians around here and some local band lovers are gonna get their panties in a bunch, cry about it and get all offended but I don’t care. I’m a realist and tell the truth no matter what anybody thinks. Some of you out there may even agree with everything I said but either way the truth is gonna get said.

Here we go:

  • THERE ARE NOT TOO MANY VENUES TO PLAY AT: Venues come and go around here. I’ve seen it happen all the time. Long time venues close down and new ones open up. This is one reason why it’s getting harder for bands and musicians to book gigs ’cause of the lack of venues around this area. No places to play at anymore. You may play at some crap bar rooms and coffee houses, that’s about it but you’re not gonna find too many venues with a large stage.
  • SHOW BOOKINGS ARE GETTING MORE STRICT: If you’re a cover band or an original country/bluegrass act, you’ll do fine in booking ’cause that’s what everyone wants to hear… but for an original rock band or a solo acoustic act, good luck on getting gigs around this area.
  • TOO MUCH NEGATIVITY, DRAMA and OPINIONATED PEOPLE AROUND HERE: Need I say more??? There are way too much musicians and local people around here who feel it’s okay to say what they want about others. A lot of bullying and harassment around here. Especially online. I’ve witnessed too many crazy stuff with musicians around the scene. A lot of people like to look at musicians as friendly and wonderful people but not all of them. Yes, there are a lot of scum bags and dishonest people around here that you can’t trust, get over it.
  • TOO MANY PEOPLE WITH LARGE EGOS: A lot of people like musicians living in their own delusional fantasy worlds. Thinking they’re rock stars and all.  Too many who think they’re the shit. Not naming names.
  • PAY TO PLAY HAVE TAKEN OVER THE SCENE: I have noticed this. Pay to play is a new thing in this area recently. I would NEVER do pay to play just to get my foot in the door at some bar. Not gonna do it. Musicians are too dumb to fall for these “pay to play” schemes around here. When you get a gig booked and the venue gives you tickets to sell, that’s “pay to play”.
  • TOO MANY BAND COMPETITIONS AND RADIO CONTESTS: This have been going on a lot in this area. Band competitions and radio contests where they have local bands enter and they win “big prizes”… Yaaayyyy!!! Ridiculous prizes like $5,000 worth of studio time, opening for a national act and shit like that. You don’t need to win awards to prove something. Yeah, your music may be good but that doesn’t mean that you’re gonna win every competition out there. I hate when bands enter every contest. If I ever get my own band going, I’m never gonna enter these things at all. I’m totally against band competitions. They’re nothing but popularity contests, that’s all they are, in my opinion.
  • NOT A LOT OF GOOD TALENT AROUND HERE: There may be like a few good bands and solo artists that I like around this area but that’s about it. I remember in the 90’s, there were a lot of great local acts but there’s not much good talent anymore. The scene isn’t what it used to be.
  • NOBODY GOES TO SHOWS: Once again if you’re in a cover band or if you’re in a country/bluegrass act, then you should be fine getting people out to your shows… however, if you play original rock, metal or acoustic music good luck on trying to get people to support you at your gigs. It’s very hard to get people to go out to your shows. No matter how hard you promote your show and no matter how many people you ask to come out, nobody shows. Chances are an original rock band or acoustic act would probably get a small crowd like 2 – 10 people.
  • IT’S GETTING TOUGHER FOR BANDS TO GET NOTICED: Yeah, it’s getting tougher for bands to get some local press here like making the cover of newspapers or getting radio interviews… things like that. I don’t know why it is but it is what it is. There is a lot of great talent getting ignored around here.
  • THIS SCENE IS OBSESSED WITH DRINKING AND PARTYING: Sorry to say but I’m not a party kind of person. I used to be but grew out of it. It’s amazing how this area is obsessed with drinking alcohol at local band shows. It’s like it seems that’s the only reason people go to shows for in this day and age. Bands playing at bars and clubs is getting popular around here ’cause all people wanna do is drink and get hammered. Well guess what, I’m not that kind of guy. I’m not a bar and club kind of person. I stay away from bars and clubs as much as possible. I try to stay away from playing at bars & clubs and I have played gigs at them before but if I were to play a bar and club again in the future, I would have to get paid for it. It be nice if we had more non-alcoholic venues like Cafe Lena for bands to play at but the bar and club scene is dominating this area.
