I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Why you should never listen to negative commentary toward your blogging whatsoever…

I get negative commentary toward my blogging everyday. I get it all the time. I’ve been getting negative commentary and opinions toward my online writing for years so I think I’m pretty used to it by now. That’s the thrill of blogging. The mixed responses and mixed reactions. Some of it will be positive and some negative. I always get mixed responses. That’s the kind of response you wanna get with your blogging. If you’re getting nothing but positive responses or no response at all then you’re doing something wrong.

When you have a blog and getting people all fired up and going… don’t ever make the mistake to think that you’re doing something wrong. You’re not. You’re all cool, brotha. Getting people all fired up and pissed off is the way to do it. That’s how you become a good blogger.

Don’t ever change for anybody if they don’t like who you are or if they don’t like how you write on your blog. When you give yourself up and apologize to those you may have offended… they will declare victorious. You don’t ever wanna do that. Never ever ever. It is your mind. Your opinions. Your thoughts. Your life. Don’t allow people to think they have complete control of it. I made a promise to myself that I will never let people control my thoughts if they don’t agree with me.

The things people always say about your blogging is not always true. It’s just opinion. There will be those who will never take everything you write seriously and would actually enjoy it.

Like I said before, I just do this for entertainment and just for fun… whether I get a good or a bad response… so I don’t really give a fuck.

A blog is a great tool to say what you want and that’s what it’s for.

I understand that people are gonna get upset and offended at my topics about politics, local music, and women but if you get offended that easily, then you must be a sensitive person.

People usually get offended at everything I write. No matter what it is. It’s crazy I know. There are pretty much no rules here except no attacking or bashing the blog owner. I know the terms of service of wordpress pretty well so they respect freedom of speech here well. That’s why I have chosen to come to wordpress years ago.

I don’t read negative commentary ’cause I don’t care what people have to say about my writing. I don’t read other blogs written about me and I try not to even read the comments.

Who cares if others get offended. That’s their problem, not yours or mine.

The icon Sting is at San Diego Comic Con and here is the proof!!!

I guess this is a definite confirmation that the Icon Sting have finally signed a WWE contract after all these years of him avoiding the company. It’s a fact that Sting has never worked with WWE before. WWE have been wanting him for years and he just kept saying “No” until now.

In the instagram video above, there is Sting the man himself, the former WCW/TNA star. The man is a wrestling legend and he is finally making his way to the WWE. I’m sure it’s not gonna be a full time run for Sting… he’s probably just coming for one match at Wrestlemania 31, I would think.

Sting has probably signed a deal to appear in the next WWE videogame, he’ll probably release a new 3 disc DVD set of his WCW career, and he’ll probably perform on RAW until his Wrestlemania match.

Everybody wants Sting vs. Undertaker for WM-31 but that is pretty unlikely. Sting is probably gonna have his last match against Cena, Triple H or Brock Lesnar. Maybe Hulk Hogan too?

When will Sting make his RAW debut??? Probably not this coming Monday, I would think he would start performing on TV sometime before the next Wrestlemania.

I didn’t watch a lot of WCW but I did watch Sting a lot when he was in TNA. I like Sting. He’s a great performer and wrestler. They don’t call him the icon for nothing. Glad he’s finally on his way to WWE.

Why did Sting avoid WWE after all these years? They don’t have anything against each other. They were always friends and got along… it’s just that Sting had his own reasons. Maybe he wanted to wait for the right time? Now he feels that the timing is right. If you wanna know why he avoided WWE Sting explained it in interviews many times, youtube it.

Edit to add: Here’s another video of Sting talking about his WWE future…

Marco Rubio is so right that gay marriage supporters can be pretty intolerant… I’ve been saying that for years!!

Haha! Marco Rubio is awesome! I love what he said about gay marriage and traditional marriage. He’s so right that traditional marriage supporters don’t hate gay people, we just don’t agree with gay marriage. When you disagree with gay marriage, you immediately get called a hateful homophobe or a bigot.

Every time I try my best to defend traditional marriage, I get brutally attacked by liberals all the time. They don’t respect our opinions at all. They’ll defend marriage equality with everything they got.

He’s so right about Obama. How come Obama never got called a homophobe when he was all for traditional marriage up until 2012? It’s pretty obvious Obama flip flopped on gay-marriage to get himself re-elected… just admit it you freakin’ liberals.

Jimmy Page about to announce new album and tour???

Today, Jimmy Page just started hyping up his usual cryptic teasers. The legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist just posted this as his cover photo.

The photo below is Jimmy Page’s new logo:

He also added some new merch for his “Shop” section on his site, new mugs, t-shirts and other clothing:

http://www.jimmypage.com/shop

What is he up to? Is he about to announce a new solo album and tour? I’d say yes that’s what this is all about ’cause notice, he just posted his own logo and none of the other band members logo of Led Zeppelin so that’s a big hint that he’s going solo again.

I wonder what artists will he collaborate with this time??? I wouldn’t be surprised if he teams up with Jack White or Dave Grohl.

“50 Shades of Grey” trailer is finally here…

Welp. The “50 Shades of Grey” trailer is finally here. While I admittedly did read the first book out of curiosity… I thought it was an okay book but it could have been better. The women claimed the book was hot and steamy but it wasn’t for me, though. I didn’t think it was hot and steamy enough. If you wanna read hot and steamy erotica stories, there is better out there… just forget “50 Shades”.

The “50 Shades” movie is not getting a lot of positive feedback from the ladies. They all love the book but so far, they aren’t liking the way the film looks. They seem to be disappointed with the Christian Grey character with the film. They were expecting an actor to be better looking than that.

I’ll still check out the “50 Shades” movie just not in theater. I’ll wait for rental on it. If Anastasia Steele is not gonna be naked and if the film won’t show her boobies, then the film is gonna be worthless.

I think a better choice of a director to make this movie would have been Lars Von Trier… he would have been perfect, in my opinion. If you see his, “Nymphomaniac” movies… you would see why.

Anyway, when “50 Shades” hits theater, you can very well believe that a lot of women are gonna flock to see it. Not sure how well it’s gonna do in the box office, though. Since the film is getting a lot of negative feedback so far, looks like it’s gonna be a flop.

The problem with this area’s music scene…

I have been a part of the music scene in Albany for many years so I have seen how it changed over the years. There is a huge difference between the music scene from the past and to today’s music scene. In the past, it used to be that it was mostly cover bands becoming established and getting the spotlight. In the past, there were also original acts becoming established but the well-known musicians used to be adults. These days established musicians and bands are pretty young. Established musicians who are between their 20’s and 30’s years of ages. It’s weird how the aging of popular bands have changed over the years isn’t it???

I partly blame that on the internet and garbage reality shows like “American Idol”, “America’s Got Talent”, “The Voice”, etc. I know that most bands around here are pretty young.

It seems that the young musicians around here have it pretty easy for them. They can get popularity and success with no problem while the older bands continue to struggle in the scene. The older bands try to get the same success the younger ones are getting for the older bands it is tough. It takes the older bands a long time to get success and popularity while it seems quicker for the young ones.

Why are younger bands becoming more successful and established than the older ones??? Well, the answer to that one is easy. The younger bands is what people around here wanna see. Most of them are young and good looking. They are more fun to see live than the older bands. So therefor, that is part of what draws people in to see the younger bands.

While it’s a good thing that young bands are getting success and popularity… at the same time, it can get quite annoying.

A lot of young bands don’t really understand how the music community works. A lot of ’em are not careful with the gigs they choose. They fall for pay to play scams easily and they jump at every opportunity they can get… playing the “yes” man. Saying yes to everything that throws at ’em. A lot of ’em don’t really understand how to run gigs smoothly and professionally. They really don’t understand how to be professionals like they think they do. Some of them feel the need to go through garbage competitions like Battle of the Bands and other radio contests in order to get somewhere when they didn’t need to.

In other words, the younger bands have a lot of learning to do when they want to play music on a professional level. It’s a tough world out there. They think they can handle it but I think they can’t.

I’m glad for these bands wanting to do their thing and get themselves out there but they have to be careful with themselves. For one thing, they have to be careful on how they treat people ’cause a lot of them make the mistake that they can treat people how they want to since they are so big and successful. Sure, bands don’t like other people but the professional thing to do is they should just keep their negative opinions to themselves and be friendly to the person anyway.

Young bands think they have “it” but they have a lot of learning to do. Tons of it.

The older bands who have been playing around the area for years know what they’re doing and they understand things ’cause they’ve been doing it a long time. The young bands should get advice and help from them.

I’m not trying to knock the young bands. I’m just being realistic. Some of you might even agree with everything I said. I’ve had my share of gigging around the scene myself so I have every right to bring this up.

WWE teasing a future transformation with company but what is it gonna be???

WWE just posted this cryptic teaser today. It’s mysterious and it will keep you guessing but there is a few clues, though. This means that the WWE is planning to transform the entire company. Fans are guessing a possible new logo and possible new title belt designs but they wouldn’t tease over something that small. Sounds like they are teasing something really big.

In my opinion, I think the transformation is gonna be a rating change. Is Attitude making a comeback? During the 90’s in the WWE was the Attitude Era where it was a TV-14 rating. Back in those days, that’s when it was called wrestling. The wrestling was good back then. The hardcore matches where they would use any weapon. Lots of blood. A lot of swear words. A lot of sex and women showing a lot of skin and cleavage. Will all that stuff be coming back?

I’d say it’s a huge possibility. Never say never on an Attitude comeback. That was when wrestling was great.

Why is the WWE possibly bringing the Attitude Era back? I think it’s because the PG era isn’t doing so well for them. WWE have turned into kids shows and a lot of longtime wrestling fans stopped watching WWE ’cause of it. That’s the reason I stopped watching WWE and took long breaks from watching it ’cause I can’t stand the PG rating. I can’t stand the John Cena show by having him win all the time. It grew tiresome for me.

I think it’s a great time for the WWE to bring Attitude back. A lot of the new wrestlers today deserve to experience that. It’ll be awesome if they bring back Attitude. I’ll start watching again if they do.

Seriously, I haven’t been watching WWE. Haven’t been watching for at least a year now. I haven’t been liking their creative direction and the matches these days suck. I will always respect and love the superstars though, I just want the good writing and good wrestling to come back.

I did watch Wrestlemania 30 earlier this year, however, and it was actually a pretty amazing show.

Happy 75 years, Batman!!!

In celebration of Batman day today, I thought it would be cool to make this post. Like most, I am a pretty huge fan of Batman myself. I love the character. The stories. All the creative villains.

I’m not a very big comic book reader but I did read Batman comics as a kid and sometimes I still read Batman graphic novels.

I’m still a lifelong Batman fan. Obsessively watched the old TV series with Adam West and Burt Ward. Watched all the Batman big screen movies over the years. Out of all the Batman actors over the years: Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Christian Bale. You’d have to ask which one who I think was the best Batman??? Some may find this pretty crazy but I always thought Adam West made the best Batman. He felt more realistic and he had personality than all the others. Keaton was great. Bale was pretty good, not amazing but pretty good. Kilmer and Clooney were terrible.

Even though I didn’t think Bale was the greatest Batman, I did love the Nolan movies though. I just liked them for the stories. “Batman: Begins”, “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight: Rises” were all pretty amazing flicks. It really is too bad that Nolan couldn’t do one more Batman flick when he could have if he wanted. He spent many years on the Batman flicks so I can’t blame him for finally wanting to move on. I really wanted to see Nolan’s take on the Riddler and the Penguin.

I think Ben Affleck could do a good job on Batman, though.

Batman is the coolest superhero ever ’cause he’s one of the very few superheroes who doesn’t have any powers. He’s an actual human being who have to fight crime with good fighting skills and gadgets. All of his villains are mostly crazy and insane people with different costumes and makeup.

He’s definitely one of my favorite characters.

I am also looking forward to that new Batman TV show called, “Gotham” which will air on FOX later this Fall… looks like a pretty cool show and I’m gonna check it out to see if it’s any good.

Happy 75 years, Batman and I’m sure there will be 75 years more.

Why musicians responding to bloggers and critics is not a good career move…

I understand that musicians who play in bands like internet discussion and they enjoy interacting with people but they must be careful with this stuff especially the more successful and popular bands. When all a musician is gonna do is call out bloggers or critics who give them bad reviews that is not good for them in a professional way. It’ll hurt them professionally in so many ways and let me explain…

There is this certain guy who thinks he can be a critic of mine. That’s his goal and that’s his whole point. I understand what he’s doing but it’s not a good idea for him to do. A guy who fronts a well-known local original band that should be nameless at this time. It’s not professional what he’s doing. What’s he’s doing is that he is criticizing me on two different blogs. One of his own and another anonymous one. I refuse to show links here ’cause those two sites don’t deserve to get promoted, they don’t deserve even more attention. What he’s trying to do is trying to make me look bad publicly. He’s trying to get a discussion going with his supporters and fans. I am noticing that no one is replying to his posts written about me so that’s a good sign that no one else really cares which is good on them. I know he’s just messing with me for fun but it’s not healthy for his professional career in music if he ever had one.

The more he keeps it going and the more he keeps getting obsessed with it, the more it’s gonna hurt his music and hurt his band’s reputation. He thinks he has every right to be doing what he’s doing ’cause he’s hiding behind freedom of speech. That’s all good and cool but when he’s playing music on a professional level, he can’t be doing that stuff.

Look… I know other musicians around the scene don’t like the way I blog at all and I have plenty of musicians who don’t like me but they don’t waste a lot of time trying to call me out. Why? Because it’s not a professional thing for them to do and they know it’ll hurt their careers. They have better things to do and better things to worry about like making their music and playing the gigs.

When bands reply to bloggers and critics… calling them out in an aggressive manner… it could potentially turn a lot of people off. Especially the fans and clubs/venues. More fans could get turned off with their immature behavior and they’ll stop supporting them just like I just did. More clubs/venues could stop booking them.

When you’re a solo artist or a band and you get up to the point where you’re big and successful, you have to ignore all bloggers and critics.

I can’t wait until this certain guy that I speak of gets his first negative review toward his band when they release an album. Let’s see if he can be able to take it ’cause it’s gonna happen. Not everyone is gonna like your band. You will get a few bad reviews from other critics and bloggers.

This is why I believe this guy doesn’t have what it takes to get big and successful if he’s going to continue to act this way. That’s the only reason he started blogs of his own so he can have an opportunity to criticize me. If that’s all he’s going to do, that’s not good for his music and his band as I explained above. It’s a distraction with his music and career.

A shame. I expected more from this guy.

If he keeps this going, his career could go downhill.

I know he’s gonna laugh at my face and disagree with this but everything I said above is the truth. I’ll let him keep it going. I’ll let him wreck his own career. He’s already hurting himself even if he doesn’t realize it.

He really should stop what he’s doing but I have a feeling that he won’t. Anyway, let him keep talking shit… it’s good publicity for my blog. Sometimes bad publicity is good. I used to be a big fan of his music. Was a huge supporter but he lost all respect from me. Respect to him is now gone.
