I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.
13 years ago today, the wrestling world lost the great Owen Hart, due to a tragic accident. On this ppv in 1999, Owen fell off the rafters when he was the Blue Blazer character, when he was supposed to make an entrance in the ring using a harness and grapple line. The WWE didn’t film the accident, of course, they turned the cameras off right away. It had to suck for the WWE and the fans to go through this that night. It’s a tragedy that should never be forgotten. RIP Owen.
The internet is still going on about this. The Miley Cyrus side boob, which became a huge media frenzy. Of course, it will. Anything that has something to do with Miley Cyrus, the internet will be all over it for days. She’s been spotted bra less a couple of other times too. If you want to know my thoughts, I think it’s pretty normal for a woman to do. If she prefers not to wear a bra in public, that’s her decision. Not yours. I don’t think it’s against the law in CA. Whether you think it’s normal or trashy, or she’s just out to get some attention, that’s just her business. As long as it’s legal and she’s in the legal age (which she is 19 now), I think she has the right to not wear a bra all she wants to. In Cali, during the Spring/Summer is wicked hot. Trust me, I’ve been to California a couple of times, mostly during the fall/winter, but it still seems to be hot over there. Just imagine how much HOTTER it will be in Cali during the Spring/Summer. That’s right, it will be BOILING. So can you blame her for wanting to wear something like that?
I’m sure women wear stuff like that in Cali all the time. I’m pretty sure, I’ve seen a few women in Cali myself who were bra less. Miley’s a target for this ’cause she’s a celebrity and a former Disney star. Yes, I’m sure all of her fans are crying now, saying things like, “Oh no, Miley is ruining her childhood role model image, boo hoo”. Maybe that’s the whole point of why she is doing this. She doesn’t want people to look at her like a family friendly Disney star, and she wants people to know that she can be a real human. Nothing wrong with her being sexual.
Everyone expects these young female Disney stars like Miley, Vanessa Hudgens and Demi Lovato to be all family friendly and perfect, but the reality is, they aren’t. You’ll start to learn that they have personal problems and issues just like all of us.
On top of all this, you have to admit that Miley is not that bad looking. Her boob looks to be a pretty good handful. She also looks pretty natural, doesn’t look like she has breast implants. Just leave her alone, and let her be.
Michael McKean, who is most famous for his roles as Lenny in “Laverne & Shirley”, and David St. Hubbins in, “This Is Spinal Tap”, was seriously injured and suffered broken leg, after he was hit by a car in NYC. This really sucks ’cause he is a talented man, and I admired his work for years. Especially, “This is Spinal Tap”, which is one of my favorite films of all time. Plus, he is a great musician and singer too. The man is multi-talented. He did just about everything you can think of in the entertainment industry. That’s why he gets my respect. I hope he gets well soon.
2 history making recordings have made the Library of Congress, Recording Registry. Donna Summer’s hit, “I Feel Love” and the Grateful Dead’s historic concert which is the most important of the band’s career, 1977 @ Barton Hall, are being inducted into the registry. Congrats to both of them and very well deserved. I’m sure both Donna and Jerry, would be proud if they were still alive today.
Man, I hope I am able to catch up with “Breaking Bad – Season 4”, before “Season 5” starts airing on TV. Love this show too fucking much! Other than the “Walking Dead”, “Dexter”, “Game of Thrones, and now you can add “Breaking Bad” to one of my favorite current shows on TV. I don’t like shows and movies about drugs too much, since I’m not a drug addict and want nothing to do with them. It’s just that I find the writing and acting of “Breaking Bad” pretty intriguing. The show got pretty addicting to me. I think it’s Bryan Cranston’s excellent acting with the show, is what did it to me. I’m sure “Season 4” will be out on DVD sometime before “Season 5” starts airing so I’ll catch up with the show then.
Since, “Season 5” is the final and last season ever, I wonder how the show will end? I’m sure everyone is wondering the same thing. Will Walter finally get caught for making meth and selling? Will the show end with him going to prison? Or, will he end up dying of cancer before he gets caught? Either way, I think the show is not going end with a happy ending for sure.
This is a pretty powerful show and I’m glad I got into it. I had too many people trying to talk me into watching it, that’s how it got me interested.
Michonne will be played by actress, Danai Gurira, who is a sword expert from the “Walking Dead” books. She’s good at killing a large number of walkers that nobody else could do. In the books, she teams up with Rick and his friends to help protect them. In the books, she was raped and abused by the Governor, and not sure if they’ll use that storyline for the TV show next season. I also wonder if they’re going to introduce, Tyrese (not T-Dog, different character), ’cause there was a big love triangle between him, Carol and Michonne. Will they use all this stuff for Season3? The next season will be taken place in a prison, the book, “Safety Behind Bars”. I’m sure the TV show will change a lot around and make things different, but I hope they use some of the material from book 3.
Can’t wait for “Season 3”. I wonder who’ll they get to play the Governor and Tyrese if they use those characters? The Governor is not a nice guy, he was a villain from the books.
Some may wonder why I don’t write about fitness too much anymore, whether it will be on here or in facebook. It’s not that I’m giving up fitness & bodybuilding. I’ll never give it up. I’m still going and still committed. I stopped giving fitness tips ’cause I don’t want to be looked at as an online fitness guru. I don’t really need that kind of attention. Plus, I still have lots of learning and plenty of work to do, before people start taking my advice seriously. I would like to become a certified personal trainer someday, but I’m going to wait for a long while for that. I want to wait to get a good enough physique and wait to have many years of experience, ’cause for right now, I’m still just a beginner, and a noob at Bodybuilding. This is like what, my 5th year doing it, I think? Pretty sure it is.
I still do write about fitness sometimes though as you can tell. I work out 3 days a week, not 4 like most people. I think 4 is just over training, just my opinion. The less you do, the better results you get. I don’t stay in the gym for too long, I’ll see the same guys in the gym for hours, when all you really need is 10 to 30 minutes in the gym, that’s it. I just go in there and do a couple of quick things.
I’m also finding that free weights are more effective than the machines. I only use the machines for just a few things and doing free weight stuff mostly, either barbell or dumbbell stuff. The only things I use the machines for is the leg press, ham string curl, and those v shaped thigh machine things. Whenever I don’t want to use the ham string curl machine, I’m finding that the stiffed dumbbell deadlift is the best workout for hamstrings. Do the stiffed dumbbell deadlift, that will make your hamstrings feel weird for the next few days. Stiffed dumbbell deadlift is my favorite workout. May sound boring but it’s great. I think the barbell deadlift is overrated and pretty dangerous to do. The dumbbell deadlift is safer. I don’t squat or deadlift with barbells. I know both workouts are very popular, but I like to find workouts that not a lot of people are doing.
Back to the topic, I don’t want to be an online fitness guru, ’cause I don’t think I’ll be good at doing that. I don’t need that competition with the other guys. I want to be known as a musician and entertainment blogger. I will still write about fitness of course, but only if it’s something that’s worth it. Those fitness gurus online are just as crazy as musicians are. All fitness gurus want to think they’re smart and think they know everything, they all have their own opinion and views. Different ways of teaching things.
Maybe I’ll post new progress pics soon. I haven’t done that in a while either.
I never bought the music of the Bee Gees, but I always respected the hell out of them, and loved them myself. Just like with Donna Summer, the Bee Gees continue to inspire everyone’s lives to this day. You would also hear their music in Hollywood movies (most notably, “Saturday Night Fever”), and TV commercials. You would hear the song, “Staying Alive” at all the nightclubs, bars, wedding receptions, and you would hear bands covering the song. Thanks to “Saturday Night Fever”, the song, “Staying Alive”, has became one of the most popular songs to dance to ever on the dance floor. They were an incredible group, and they inspired me greatly.
Robin was born and grew up on the, Isle of Man, which is a small island near the United Kingdom. Robin grew up with 4 of his other siblings. He has 3 brothers and one sister. His fraternal twin brother Maurice, and his other brothers that are not twins were Barry, and Andy. Robin has one older sister, Lesley. Barry, Robin, and Maurice began singing when they were little kids. They were inspired to start a music career after the three of them performed at the Gaumont cinema, lip syncing to a record, but when the record broke, they had to sing for real. In 1958, the Gibb brothers including their brother, Andy, began performing live where ever they could in Australia, so they could make money. They were originally called, the Rattlesnakes, later they changed their group name to Wee Johnny Hayes & the Bluecats. In 1963, that’s when they had to change their name again to the Bee Gees, after being signed to, Festival Records.
The Bee Gees, shot to national fame, after they released their first album, “Bee Gees 1st”, which peaked at No 7. on the Billboard Charts in the US. The Bee Gees, didn’t become mainstream and commercial superstars until they agreed to make music, for the film, “Saturday Night Fever”. The album became the best selling album of all time. It helped start the disco era in the 70’s. The album stayed on the top of the Billboard US charts for 24 straight weeks from January to July of 1978, and for 120 weeks until 1980. The Bee Gees kept making music and performing live up until their last album in 2001, “This Is Where I Came In”, the Bee Gees broke up after Maurice’s death.
Robin kept releasing solo albums and performing as a solo act. Robin died of cancer, he was 62 years old. He is survived by his brother, Barry, who is the only surviving member of the Bee Gees, which means that he is, “Staying Alive”.
Maxim did a great job with their “Hot 100” women, this year. I especially agree with their top 10. Bar Refaeli deserves the no. 1 spot, even though she is a young model from Israel. I usually hate Top Lists in magazines, but Maxim did a good job with this one.
Yep, Brock here likes the women and I like my eye candy too. Glad Katy Perry is high on the list too.
It’s really hard to tell whether other musicians support you or not. The internet today, has always been a huge thing for unsigned and indie musicians, where they go online to support each other. When you want to be part of a music scene, there’s going to be a lot of flip flopping, backstabbing and drama going around. You will also get a lot of musicians pretending to like you when, they don’t really. You’ll learn all this stuff soon enough. I’ve tried to be supportive of other musicians the best I can. I’ve been nothing but supportive of everyone, best as possible. You’ve seen it too. Sometimes you’re not going to get support from them in return ’cause a lot of musicians have this self importance attitude, that a lot of them think they’re so talented that they believe you don’t deserve to get supported by them. I’ve tried to support musicians as best as possible but I’ve got nothing but hate, disrespect by some of them in return. I still seem to be dealing with this stuff to this day, but that’s okay. You will get musicians as haters too.
Why is it that I’m so bad on the internet? Maybe some of my blog postings have offended some musicians and struck a nerve with some of them, by my rants, but oh well. I don’t care if other musicians don’t like how I post online. I’m a guy who is a realist, who is not afraid to tell the truth about things. My rants may get a negative reaction but that’s what I want. I think it’s better being real and honest about things, instead of being a fake and a liar like so many musicians are these days.
Musicians are crazy, a lot of them can be pretty self centered people. If they’re gonna be self centered, then that’s how I’m going to be too. I think I’m done using this site to support local music. From this point on, this site will be about me, my music and my usual entertainment news blogging. That’s the way to be. You need to be tough and not let other musicians think they are better than you, out of jealousy and ego. Fuck the haters & doubters, ya know? You only concentrate on you and your music. If you want to keep going in your music, you shouldn’t care if you’re liked or hated by anyone.
I do appreciate the support by people who stuck with me though, don’t get me wrong. You’ll get true support by people, when they stick with you, no matter what happens. They’ll have your back and support you all the way through. That’s how you’ll know when you have the true supporters.
I’m going to have the Robin Gibb obit up later today for sure. I’m late on those obits ’cause they take a lot of time and research to do.
