Kevin Smith confirms Jay and Silent Bob reboot film coming soon…

Believe it or not, I am a huge Jay and Silent Bob fan. I’m a huge fan of Kevin Smith movies too. I think Kevin Smith is an interesting guy and he’s hilarious too. Yeah, these guys are probably liberals and they’re probably Trump haters but who cares. They’re just talented guys and they ARE true comedians. These are two guys who knows how to get people laughing hard.

I’ve seen every movie Jay and Silent Bob have been in over the years. I’ve seen a lot of Kevin Smith directed films too. I also admire Kevin for his strong knowledge in Star Wars and comic books. Actually, it was Kevin Smith who helped sparked my interest in becoming a comic book reader myself and I have started collecting. I have a small collection of comics but it’s a good start.

Anyway, I’m happy to hear that Jay and Silent Bob has a new movie coming out and I’m looking forward to it. The next Jay and Silent Bob movie is gonna be different, though. It’s gonna be a reboot so it’s not gonna have anything to do with the earlier films. Why? It’s because of Kevin Smith’s weight. As you can see Kevin has been losing weight lately. He went from be a really obesed man to really skinny as you can see here. Kevin went through the Weight Watchers program and now he just started doing yoga as you can see here.

I do enjoy watching comedy films some ’cause even for a guy like me, I need to have a good laugh sometimes. In the next Jay and Silent Bob movie, there will be no “fat” jokes. Like Kevin said in the instagram post, they’re switching it to vegan jokes instead. Even though Kevin and Jay haven’t played their characters in a long time, I’m sure they still got it. I’m sure they’ll do a great job with the next Jay and Silent Bob movie and will give us some great laughs once again.

And by the way, I met Jason Mewes in person as you can see here. It was at a comic convention in Saratoga Springs. Jason was a cool guy in person like I expected him to be. He’s very good to his fans. Most celebrities at conventions just sit at the autograph table with their heads down but not Jason Mewes. He was standing all day, talking with his fans, taking pictures and signing autographs… all that stuff. Did I get Jay to sign something? Yes, I just had him sign the “Clerks” movie on BluRay which is my favorite Jay and Silent Bob movie.

It was a great honor to meet Jason Mewes in person. If only I can meet Kevin Smith himself in person someday. Would be cool.

Really, it’s a pretty good idea to film your workouts at the gym…

I do a pretty good job with form and posture at most of my workouts at the gym but sometimes I guess, I still gotta get the form down on a few things. Like the leg press for example. I filmed myself doing the leg press at the gym and then I watched it to see how I did. I noticed the form on the leg press was kind of bad. I was doing them in slow range motion and not locking the knees but wasn’t bringing the legs down lower enough. Admittedly, I’ve been doing half-repping on the leg press after all this time but next time on leg day for next week, I’ll get the form right by lowering the weight a little and doing the reps at a 90 degree angle like what most video tutorials in youtube say. Next week, I’ll correct the form as soon as possible.

If you’ve noticed that you’ve been doing workouts in bad form for a long while, don’t worry about it ’cause whether or not people want to admit it, everybody works out in terrible form in some of their workouts… even some of the pro lifters and experienced bodybuilders have bad form and bad posture too. I see it all the time.

It’s not a big deal if you do things wrong in the gym so don’t worry about it ’cause we all make mistakes. I still gotta correct the form on the dead-lift a little bit and gotta work out the form on the squats too.

I post my workout videos on social networking for all to see is not because I’m desperate for likes… I don’t care about that. I post ’em online for honest feedback. I’m always looking for tips and advice on how to correct my form from other people. If someone gives me tips on correcting my form, I won’t feel bad about it. Just take it like a man and be humble about it. Most bodybuilders in the gym can get pretty cocky when they’re called out on their form… many of them can get pretty defensive about it but not me. I’m always willing to listen ’cause it’s important to be safe and stuff, ya know?

Perfect form is important ’cause you want to get a full contraction and hit the right target and stuff. In other words, hit the muscles in the right places. Also, bad form could lead to injury.

I’m glad that I’m starting to film my workouts at the gym and that way if I notice that I’m doing something wrong, I can say to myself: “Gee, I’ve been doing this wrong for a while. Gotta correct the form as soon as possible”.

Don’t be afraid to admit you’ve been doing workouts wrong ’cause sometimes lifters egos are so huge, they’ll never admit it. It’s a good thing to admit you’re doing something wrong and to correct it asap. That makes people want to like you more ’cause nobody likes a cocky person in the gym and there are tons of ’em. Trust me.

Benefits of dead-lifting, it really is the best workout…

A lot of people assume that dead-lifting is a dangerous workout; mostly people who don’t workout or newbies believe that. Dead-lifting is not dangerous at all… as long as you do them correctly and responsibly, dead-lifts can be very easy and safe. I think dead-lift is the easiest workout in the gym ’cause all you do is pick the bar up off the floor, that’s it!

A lot of people are scared to do dead-lifts for whatever reason even I’m guilty of that admittedly. Doing my very first powerlifting competition in dead-lifting gave me a lot more confidence in dead-lift and I’m going to stick with dead-lift for a pretty long time… probably for the rest of my life.

Dead-lifting can have many great benefits like if you want sexy legs and a sexy ass, the dead-lift will do that to ya. Dead-lift can also reduce and prevent lower back pain. The dead-lift can be VERY GOOD for the back. It’s not bad for the back like some assume. Dead-lift not only works out the lower body, it can workout the entire body pretty much. It can also be the best fat burner exercise too.

The dead-lift can also help you in real-life situations outside of the gym for example you can help people move heavy furniture, do heavy lifting at your job and things thing like that.

Check out this interesting article here:

http://www.justinkavanaghfitness.com/20-benefits-of-deadlifts-you-probably-never-knew/

Some people will get all worried and stuff about you dead-lifting when they shouldn’t. Dead-lifting is the most easiest and safest workout there is, in my opinion.

Another great benefit that the dead-lift can give ya is that it helps give you more strength for other workouts too for example the bench press and squats. Doing dead-lift could help you bench and squat a little heavier the same for every other exercise in the gym.

Dead-lifting is also the best stress reliever exercise there is, in my opinion. For some reason, each time I dead-lift, I feel real good after that. It does make you a happier person and helps gets things off of your system.

You guys out there want to look great wearing tight jeans and attract the ladies, the dead-lift will do that. You want to look sexy wearing nothing but underwear or boxer shorts… again, the dead-lift. That’s another reason why I want to get into dead-lifting and squatting full-time so I can improve my lower body.

I’m sure bench press and squats have some great benefits too and I’m about to look them up.

Dave Grohl asked to perform Nirvana’s “MTV Unplugged in New York” in its entirety but backed up by an orchestra as well…

Perth Symphony Orchestra has asked Dave Grohl to perform Nirvana’s legendary live album, “MTV Unplugged in New York” in its entirety with them in celebration of its 25th Anniversary. They want Dave to sing every song off the “MTV Unplugged in NY” album and he’ll probably play acoustic on the show too if he agrees to do it.

Dave Grohl Asked To Play Nirvana Unplugged For 25th Anniversary

The Foo Fighters has been together for many years now and they’ve never played much Nirvana songs except for just a few of them. Dave has always been against covering Nirvana songs on Foo Fighters shows, why? It’s because Dave has so much respect them. He explains that he needs to be careful with himself. Why? Is he afraid of tarnishing the legacy of Nirvana??? That could be it.

Dave Grohl Asked To Play Nirvana Unplugged For 25th Anniversary

People want Dave to sing Nirvana songs but he won’t do it. I don’t think he’ll agree to do this concert with the Perth Symphony Orchestra but ya never know. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Honestly, I think Dave should cover Nirvana songs as I think he’ll nail them perfectly with no problem. He may not sound like Kurt Cobain but I think Dave will perform them well. Dave should give it a try, I think it will be cool.

Well, I’m able to dead-lift 200 lbs. after all, just did it this morning!

Just hit the gym first thing early this morning to get back day out of the way. That means it’s dead-lifting day ’cause I do dead-lifting on back day. Here is me in my latest dead-lifting video attempting to do a 200 lbs. dead-lift which was a success as you can see. I thought to myself, “As long as I can dead-lift 190 lbs. easily then why not add another ten?”. So I did just that and it was a piece of cake.

I did pretty good in the form in this one except I could keep the bar a little straighter but other than that, pretty damn good

I’m gonna stick with 200 lbs. as my personal record for a while. Not gonna go above that for a long while. That felt pretty damn good, though.

I never thought I would be a 200 lb. lifter but ya never know, just gotta give it a try. If you can’t lift a heavy dead-lift then don’t do it. That’s gonna be my rule in power-lifting, same for bench and squats.

For bench and squats, I can’t do 200 lbs. yet but gonna make my way there but very slowly. Don’t wanna rush.

Kev

I’m really enjoying barbell workouts more and I’ll probably stick with it full time…

Earlier this morning at the gym was chest day and I mostly did barbell work for chest. For bench press, I did 70 lbs. for 3 sets and 8 reps each and did one more set for 95 lbs. and one rep. Then I did incline bench for 30 lbs. for 4 sets and 12 reps each. For the bench, I’m training for powerlifting meets and trying to build more strength so to build more strength on that, I just do 3 sets of regular lifting and do 1 rep of heavy lifting to see what my latest personal record is. For now I’m going to stick with 95 lbs. on the bench for a bit before I hit the big 100. I tried the big 100 lbs. just last week but failed that rep so I got a little more work to do. Maybe I’ll try the 100 lbs. next week. I’ll give it a go.

I am liking benching more and more. It’s not that bad really. My goal one day is to hopefully become a super heavy lifter but I’m not gonna rush and take my slow time. That’s how you wanna do it, ya know? So many guys in the gym are in such a rush to lift heavy when they shouldn’t. I know you guys wanna feel tough and feel strong in the gym but you could risk injury the more your ego gets so big.

Next week, I’m going to do something a little different when benching. I’m going to start doing 5 sets of benching every week. First four sets will be regular bodybulding lifts and the final set will be 1 heavy one for powerlifting. That’s how I’m going to do things every week from now on. That’ll be my secret for building strength. Benching is pretty awesome ’cause I do notice more strength the more I do it. If I want to get bigger chest results then bench is the probably the best way to go. If I want to get big pecs like Arnold’s earlier days and pecs like those wrestlers you see on TV, I should stick with benching full time. Yeah, I really want a big muscular look. Get big like those dudes you see in action movies and in pro wrestling. A lot of people think it’s impossible to get that look without steroids but I disagree. It is definitely possible to get that look naturally. As long as you work hard (meaning work out with extreme intensity), eat right, don’t give up… you can easily get a body like Hulk Hogan, Dave Bautista and even Brock Lesnar. That’s the kind of look I’m trying to go for. I feel like I already got that look sort of but I got lots of work to do still. I like what I see so far, though.

It’s part of why I got into powerlifting ’cause it can be pretty useful for my regular bodybuilding too. As far as weightlifting  goes, will I get into Olympic lifting? Ya know, the clean and jerk movement they do? No way.  I don’t think I’ll ever do the Olympic clean and jerk lift. I’m just gonna stick with bench, deadlift and squat. I’m gonna stick with powerlifting, not Olympic lifting ’cause I never want to be an Olympic lifter.

It’s funny ’cause I was never meant to become a powerlifter at all but what changed you ask? Well, I have a few friends that do powerlifting meets and they’re always posting live facebook videos of their meets so that got me interested in giving it a try so those friends of mine ended up asking me to be a part of a powerlifting meet which was how I was able to do that one in Albany. That’s how I got into powerlifting. A few friends of mine talked me into it was pretty much how. I’ve gotten into really liking it a lot so I’m sticking with it. Gonna do both bodybuilding and powerlifting.

In the past, I never really cared how much I could bench or how much weights I could lift. I just wanted to get muscular and get in shape but I guess it is important for me to find out what my personal records are. Now I am curious of how heavy I can lift. You see, I can’t tell my own strength and now powerlifting will help me be able to tell how strong I actually am.

Last time I deadlifted in the gym was a big 180 lbs and tomorrow I’m going to go for a big 190. I think I’ll film myself doing it too.

Back to benching, it is awesome and it’s a real challenge for sure. I actually don’t need a spotter at the gym for benching ’cause the bench there has spotter arms on the sides of them so I’m all good doing bench by myself at the gym.

Ozzy throws Tony and Geezer under the bus and says he didn’t enjoy final Black Sabbath reunion… my thoughts…

Interesting. Black Sabbath is officially done and over with. They released one final studio album in 2012 and they just completed a final tour titled, “The End”. Why did Sabbath suddenly decided to break up? Maybe it was because Ozzy didn’t enjoy being in the band anymore?

Ozzy says that he kept getting bad vibes from Tony and Geezer. I think what Ozzy was trying to say is that Tony and Geezer saw him as a singer, Ozzy saw himself as more than that. Tony and Geezer didn’t appreciate Ozzy being Ozzy meaning being part of the celebrity pop culture. Ya know, Ozzy turned himself into a TV star like with “The Osbournes” and he kept doing other projects with the Osbournes. Ozzy is also an author and has books out too. He’s also currently doing a TV show with his son Jack on the History Channel.  So Tony and Geezer just sees Ozzy as a rock singer and not seeing him as celebrity Ozzy is that what Ozzy is mad about???

http://ultimateclassicrock.com/ozzy-osbourne-black-sabbath-reunion-not-fun/

I love Ozzy Osbourne but I’m not afraid to admit that he is a bit of an egomaniac and narcissist and this should be good enough to prove that. I always saw that Ozzy sold himself out when he did “The Osbournes” TV show. He’s supposed to be a rock singer and metal guy. Instead, he turned himself into a TV star and Hollywood celebrity. That’s how people see Ozzy now. They don’t see him as a rock singer anymore.

Tony and Geezer don’t keep up with the times… they don’t get themselves into this reality TV garbage. They see themselves as musicians, not celebrities. It seems to me that Tony and Geezer don’t appreciate Ozzy doing all that celebrity stuff… trying to be a celebrity and not a musician. I can see where Tony and Geezer are coming from so I’m on their side for sure.

I believe Ozzy destroyed his rock star image when he did the Osbournes which to me was pretty sad and disappointing. Black Sabbath went out on a positive note and it was pretty low of him to talk negative stuff about Tony and Geezer but oh well, what do ya know? It’s the music industry… there’s gonna be huge egos all over.

Fans will always see Ozzy as a celebrity and not a rock singer. Ozzy did that to himself. He needs to get over himself already!

Henry Cavill the man himself quick to shoot down quitting Superman rumors on his instagram… looks like he’s still ON as Superman! YES!!!

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report the news that Henry Cavill was out as Superman and a huge debate sparked on the internet. Lots of rumors and speculation swirling that Henry quit the Superman role.

Well here he is quickly shooting down the rumors in this humorous video. Wearing a Krypton Lifting Team t-shirt and then he holds up a Superman action figure. Well, looks like he’s still on as Superman, y’all so you can all settle down now.

Truthfully, I don’t think Henry Cavill will quit the role ’cause you can tell that he loves playing the character too much. I think he’ll still play Superman for “Justice League 2” and “Man of Steel 2” (if it happens that is). Glad he’s still on myself.

Kev

Henry Cavill done playing Superman… did he just quit playing the role? Seems so…

Superman-Henry-Cavill.-Photo-Superman-Wiki-Fandom-e1536767614323.jpg

It looks  like Warner Bros/DC. films are parting ways with actor Henry Cavill who just played Superman for them for three films: “Man of Steel”, “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Justice League”. The split appears to be amicable ’cause the WB’s spokesperson said they and Cavill still have a great relationship together and always will.

Why are they parting ways? Well, WB’s seems to be so heavily focused on other superhero projects by the time they finish with those films, Henry will be too old to be playing Superman. Henry is 35 right now so age is probably what to blame for on this.

Another reason could be that Henry is a pretty busy guy.  He has other film projects in the works so that means he might not have time to play Superman again. Henry’s next focus is the new TV show “The Witcher” which is based upon the video game, a Netflix TV series.

So Henry done playing the Superman role for good? It looks like it.

https://variety.com/2018/film/news/henry-cavill-exits-superman-dc-universe-1202938050/

This kind of sucks, ya know. I thought Henry made a great Superman,  I really did. It’s looking like Ben Affleck  is done playing Batman too. I really was hoping for a follow-up/sequel to “Man of Steel” but looks like it’s never happening now. Another “Justice League” film will probably happen but looks like Superman and Batman will have to be replaced.

I never thought WB’s and Henry would make this unprecedented move ’cause people were expecting them to give us a few more Superman movies w/ Henry playing the character. Well, that’s Hollywood, I guess. Things changes different directions all the time.

Henry really is a great actor, though. I’ve seen him in other movies besides Superman flicks. The Superman movies did give him a pretty big career boost and I think he will star in bigger movies in the future. Maybe Henry will play a different superhero somewhere down the road, I can see that happening.

It’s going to be interesting to see what Warner Bros. is planning to do with Superman now. They’ll probably reboot the series again and I’m hearing stuff about Michael B. Jordan being the possible replacement.

“Man of Steel”, “Batman vs. Superman: DOJ” and “Justice League” all got mixed reviews but I liked all three movies,  I really did. Henry probably feels that three Superman movies is enough for him. Maybe he just got overwhelmed and he wants to move on to other projects?

Henry hasn’t responded to this with a statement yet but I’m sure he will soon. I think he will speak out about it on his official instagram page so keep an eye on that…

Never forget the Twin Tower attacks in NYC on Sept. 11th, 2001… I never will…

TwinTowers911.jpg

This is a huge part of why we elected Trump in office so we can stop something like this from happening again. “Make America Safe Again” wasn’t a political slogan, y’all. 9/11 is why we badly need the border wall and it’s why we need the travel bans as well. Nope, instead the left have to get all political and call us names by calling us racists, bigots and all that crap. Trump is doing a good job fighting terrorism so far.

Where was I when all of this was happening? Well I was working at Reserve America in Ballston Spa at the time and was home on a day off of work. I was sleeping in and got woken up to this. I was watching the news all day ’cause of it too like most people.
