Finally, the official, “Man Of Steel” facebook page is online…

Warner Bros. finally put up their official facebook page for the “Man of Steel” movie, directed by Zack Snyder. Proof that it’s Warner Bros. page? Check the new S shield logo at the top. That’s never been released before anywhere. Could that be the possible teaser poster?

See the official facebook page of “Man of Steel”, here.

That’s where they’ll be posting the trailers, posters, movie stills, news, etc.

I’m really praying they did a good job with this movie, and I hope Zack doesn’t mess it up. I want a really good Superman movie like everyone else. I hope this is a Superman movie that we’ve all been wanting for years. A great Superman movie told with heart and plenty of action.

The Superman franchise tries their best to come out with a great movie but fails every time. Hopefully this film, will make everyone walk out of the theater with smiles on our faces, and that’s what we want out of a Superman movie!

Report: Chloe Moretz is the new Carrie White!!!

MGM studios is in negotiations with young actress, Chloe Moretz (she’s 15), to star as Carrie White in the remake of Stephen King’s, “Carrie”. While this is a nice choice, Chloe and Sissy do look pretty similar to each other, almost like sisters! Sissy played the character when she was 27, so it looks like they are going for younger casting. If you don’t know who Chloe Moretz is, you might have seen her in the film, “Kick-Ass” (she played Hit Girl), and the vampire film, “Let Me In”.

I think a “Carrie” remake, could be pretty good if they did it right. I just hope they don’t ruin the prom scene. The original prom scene from the 1976 film was the best part of the whole movie and the remake might not be able to top it. Who knows, we just might have to wait and see. I’m curious.

Deadline, reports.

Cool Video: “Total Recall” remake trailer hits the web…

The “Total Recall” remake which stars Colin Farrel  and Kate Beckinsale, teaser trailer has been released this week. So far, it looks pretty cool. Yes, I said that. Like this video says, the full trailer hits world wide this Sunday. So before you badly judge this movie wait until the full trailer is released this weekend.

Like everyone else, I too am wondering if they’ll still put the three titted alien woman in this remake.

James Cameron and the Mariana Trench, the man proves he is still king of the world!

You can love him or hate him, but the man has got balls ever since the days he released, “Titanic”. He was pretty ballsy releasing the movie, “Titanic”. Then he came out with the two Terminator movies, which helped out his career even more. Then he brought back, 3D to the mainstream with the release of, “Avatar”.

Cameron takes a break from fiction, and is now focusing on something real. He is filming a 3D documentary which he gets to go down deep in the, Mariana Trench, in the Pacific Ocean. How deep is the Trench? It’s pretty much almost to the center of the Earth. If you think it’s safe going down there, think again. It’s extremely dangerous, if something happens, you’re dead.

I was never really a fan of James Cameron, but I am now after this. He just got some more respect from me. Who knows? Maybe he’ll want to make an actual fictional movie down in the Mariana Trench sometime in the future. “The Abyss 2”??? LOL!!!!

Brock’s thoughts, on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles controversy…

As a huge fan of the TMNT, I thought I would respond to this as I’m sure some of you are curious on my thoughts. Director Michael Bay, put his fans into outrage again after he announced that he is adapting a re-boot of the TMNT franchise. Then he went on to say that the turtles came from an alien race which upset some of the die-hard fans. Michael then, responded again, telling fans they need to calm down, saying he wants to expand the origins and give it a more complex back up story.

While everyone knows they aren’t aliens, they were actually mutants. They got turned into mutants by radioactive waste. They didn’t come from space or other planets.

While I’m sure that’s not what Michael Bay means, the TMNT’s re-boot is still gonna suck. He’s still going to destroy TMNT’s, just like he destroyed the Transformers franchise. You can betcha the TMNT’s re-boot will be a huge special effects movie full of CGI. I sure hope the Turtles themselves won’t be CGI characters, they probably will be, I wouldn’t be surprised.

On top of all this, it’s not the first that the TMNT’s origin story has been changed. It’s been changed before through the cartoon series, and the animated movie, “Turtles: Forever”. I’m sure they changed the origin stories through the comics many times, as well.

I’m not sure if Michael Bay is directing the “TMNT’s” re-boot or if he’s just producing it, but either way it’s still going to suck. If they can make Master Shredder, all badass and evil looking, I might give it a chance, but I’ve been skeptical of this re-boot even before this controversy started.

Netflix Pick (DVD): “My Week With Marilyn”…

So I finally watched, “My Week With Marilyn”, starring Michelle Williams. Got it in the mail through Netflix yesterday and watched it last night. It was actually a pretty good movie, I liked it, but my only problem was the casting of Michelle Williams as Marilyn. Michelle is a good actress, don’t get me wrong, but she’s not for Marilyn. Michelle did a great job on her speaking voice, it was dead on, but it was the looks that didn’t fit. Michelle looked nothing like Marilyn at all. Above is Michelle, below is the real Marilyn.

Other than that, it was a pretty good movie overall. Good plot, good acting with the other cast. It was well filmed and well directed.

It tells the real life story of Colin Clark’s really brief affair with Marilyn around the time, “The Prince and the Showgirl” (which was originally called, “The Sleeping Prince” but the title was changed later), was being filmed.

I’ve been watching a lot of Marilyn movies and haven’t seen “Prince and the Showgirl” yet. I have it listed in my DVD Que in Netflix, so I should get it soon. “My Week with Marilyn” was worth watching once, so I wouldn’t watch it again. I won’t bother buying my own copy. I just wish Marilyn was better casted, didn’t agree with Michelle playing her, so I’m glad they didn’t give her the Oscar.

I have a feeling there will be many more Marilyn Monroe movies coming out in theaters in the future, played by different actresses, but that’s Hollywood. I wish they would stop doing that, because there is only one Marilyn. I love Marilyn Monroe, can’t stop watching her movies. I need to read more about her life and career too, so maybe I’ll get some biography books about her soon.

Report: George Clooney arrested in Washington D.C.

Actor George Clooney (yes, that George Clooney, who starred in ER and a handful of big screen movies), has been arrested and handcuffed outside the Sudan Embassy in, Washington D.C. What he was protesting for, he was trying to bring awareness to violence in Sudan.

More on the story, here.

Whatever you’re protesting for, it is worth it getting arrested. I would protest something and wouldn’t mind getting arrested for doing something good.

I’m sure Clooney doesn’t care about getting arrested ’cause as you clearly saw on the video, he was all smiles. The guy is too rich and loaded, he wouldn’t even last a day in jail anyway.

Cool Video: Tim Burton’s “Dark Shadows” trailer is finally here, and I’m dissapointed!!!

Yesterday, Tim Burton’s “Dark Shadows” with Johnny Depp starring as Barnabus Collins, finally dropped.

Yep. I think I’m done with Tim Burton. Had it with him. The guy hasn’t made a good movie in a long time anyway, and he hasn’t done anything original lately either. He’s been doing too many remakes recently.

I was hoping, “Dark Shadows”, would be very much like the classic TV series. I used to watch, “Dark Shadows”, all the time as a kid, obsessively. I believe Mr. Burton ruined, “Dark Shadows”. Just like he ruined, “Alice In Wonderland”, “Sleepy Hollow”, and “Charlie & The Chocolate Factory”.

He hasn’t made a great movie since “Mars Attacks” in 1996 (Yes, “Mars Attacks” was great).

Enjoy the trailer for “Dark Shadows” below, or not.

Film Review: John Carter

Directed by: Andrew Stanton
Starring: Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Bryan Cranston

So today, I decided to hit the mall to check out the new, “John Carter”, movie released by Disney. Here is my review:

Plot/synopsis: A Civil War vet named, John Carter, who is from Virginia, is transplanted to planet Mars, the red planet. While there, he discovered that the planet was inhabited by 12 foot tall barbarians. While John is being kept prisoner by these barbarians, he met a princess named,Dejah Thoris, to save her from getting forced to marry a man who she doesn’t want to marry.

As some of you know, this film was based on the first John Carter book by, Edgar Rice Burroughs, which is originally titled, “A Princess of Mars”. The same author who wrote the Tarzan series. I never read the book but after seeing the film, makes me want to. I believe I can download the book for FREE through iBooks on my Ipad. Sometime, I’ll have to download it and read it myself.

On with the movie, I was at first pretty skeptical of this movie being made. The trailer didn’t grab me at first, but it grew on me. Plus, I like Taylor Kitsch as an actor. He is most well known for his role as Tim Riggins for, “Friday Night Lights”, plus he did several other films in his career as well. The other movies he starred in weren’t very big roles. They were mostly supporting roles and cameos. Finally, Taylor gets a huge opportunity to star in a major leading role and he ended up getting, John Carter. This John Carter character has appeared in comics and there was already a straight to DVD movie as well. It’s just that this character has never landed a big screen picture, and now it’s the time.

I actually thought the movie itself was very enjoyable and entertaining. It had good writing and good acting. The movie was a good long, 2 and half hours. It is action packed. The special effects are pretty impressive. Taylor did a great job in his first major leading role. Taylor did a great job playing a tough guy character.

A lot of people have been comparing this movie to “Star Wars”, and, “Avatar”, and I agree. This film is similar to those movies, but better, in my opinion. The action scenes were fun. I liked the characters Bryan Cranston and Willem Dafoe played. It’s a PG-13 Disney movie, but it still can be enjoyable for the little kids as well.

What I liked about “John Carter”, they made that movie kind of old school. The way sci fi movies were made back in the 70’s and 80’s. It had that kind of feeling. Kind of felt like David Lynch’s “Dune” or, “Enemy Mine”. There hasn’t been any new sci-fi action adventure flicks lately, and it’s about time that this genre makes a comeback. “John Carter” wasn’t the best movie ever made, but it was just enjoyable and fun.

Score for “John Carter” = *** (“3 stars” as in good)

Report: We’ll have to wait even longer for the big screen “24”, will this movie ever happen???

Earlier this year, Kiefer kept hinting through interviews that the big screen, “24”, could start shooting this Spring. Well, not anymore. Like the ticking clock is forcing us to wait even longer. It’s being pushed back for a few reasons: One, Kiefer is not happy with the payment of the movie. Two, Kiefer and the film crew don’t want to rush the film. Three, Kiefer’s new show “Touch”, is getting in the way with it.

Deadline, reports.

I guess waiting longer is okay with me. Take your time to make the movie real good, if it ever happens. Most of the shows beloved characters like David Palmer and Bill Buchannan were killed off, so they won’t be able to return to the film at all. The only characters that could return are Chloe and Tony.

The Jack Bauer story can continue. If Kiefer no longer wants the film, there can’t be a replacement ’cause Jack Bauer can only be played by Kiefer, no one else.
