Report: It’s getting very close to see that Catwoman maybe the next Batman villain…

Chris Nolan has lined up six different actresses who are in the hopes of being female leads for, “The Dark Knight: Rises”. It is said that one female lead will be Bruce Wayne’s love interest, the other will be for the main villain. If you look at all these six actresses, they are young. So the villain for the next Batman film, will be female. Does this mean that the female villain will either be Poison Ivy or Catwoman? I would like Natalie Portman as Bruce Wayne’s love interest. I would also like Naomi Watts as Catwoman if the villain will be Catwoman. It’s looking very likely that the next villain will be Catwoman, I’m very sure of it.

BREAKING NEWS: Jon Favreau will direct, “Magic Kingdom” film for Disney…

Well, this news actually kind of surprised me. I didn’t think a director like Jon Favreau will direct a movie such a this, so he must be a huge fan of Disney. Keep in mind, that Disney owns part of Marvel, so that’s probably how they got in contact with him. How are they going to come up with a plot for this? It’ll be interesting to see what the plot will be. Also, how much do you want a bet that Robert Downey Jr. will get a role in this film? Whether it’s leading role or small role?

Report: Hugh Jackman turns down the Oscars again to work on “Wolverine 2″…

Hugh Jackman, turned down to host the Oscars last year, he turns it down again this year. The reason is simple. He’s getting ready to work on “Wolverine 2” with Darren Aronofsky. I’m glad Hugh hosting the Oscars is just a one off for him. It’s a good move he no longer wants to do it anymore. He belongs in the movies, not hosting award shows.

Read the full story here at, Deadline.

Hugh is the man for that!

As for who I think should host the next Oscars this year, I think Conan O’ Brien would put on a great show. I would also like it if the Academy gave Sacha Baron Cohen, a chance. Lets hope they don’t get Steve Martin again.

Thought: Spiderman cast keeps getting even more interesting…Sally Field and Martin Sheen joins…

I think I maybe officially interested in the new Spiderman flick after all ’cause two talented actors, Martin Sheen and Sally Field have joined the cast. Sally Field haven’t had a major role since “Forrest Gump” and “Mrs. Doubtfire” which are the roles she’s most famous for. The legendary, Martin Sheen, the “Apocalypse Now” star, will be playing Uncle Ben. Sally will be playing, Aunt May.

Ya know, I was never really a huge fan of Marvel comics. I respect that business, but a lot of their superheroes really doesn’t get to me. The only Marvel superheroes that I liked were: Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Wolverine, and the Punisher. I never really got into Spiderman. I’ll see the new Spiderman movie in theater, if the trailer is interesting enough to see it. I was more of a DC Comics fan than Marvel, but I do respect Stan Lee and his creations.

Film Review: Hereafter

Starring: Matt Damon, Cecile De France, Jay Mohr

Directed by Clint Eastwood

So I’ve just seen the movie, “Hereafter”, today and here is my review.

Plot/Synopsis: Marie Lelay, a French TV journalist goes on vacation by the Indian Ocean, until she becomes a victim of a dangerous, tsunami there. After her near death experience with the tsunami, she plans to write a book about it. George Lonnegan (Matt Damon’s character) is a retired psychic, who has the ability to speak with people who are dead. Throughout the movie, people have become obsessed with George’s power ’cause they want to hear about their loved ones in the after life.

Please be aware that this movie is a slow pacing drama. It’s not the big special effects movie that the trailers made it out to be. The movie is still really good though. I thought it told an interesting story. It’s basically about life after death. My only problem with the film, is that I didn’t like Matt Damon being the leading star of the film. I think a movie like this is more fitting for an actor with talent. I can see someone like Josh Brolin or Robert Downey Jr., playing the lead in this film. Matt Damon is an okay actor, but he’s kind of overrated. I saw the movie ’cause the story looked interesting to me, I didn’t see it ’cause Matt was in it.

If you get bored with slow drama films, then this isn’t your film. I think Eastwood wanted to make a movie like this ’cause he’s getting old and he always wondered what it would be like with life after death. The script probably reminded him of his own life. The other actors in the movie, did a great acting job though. I was impressed with Jay Mohr’s character, who is a legendary stand up comedian and occasional film actor. Cecille De France is a great actress from Belgium, didn’t even know who she was until I saw her in this movie. The movie is mostly spoken in French since the people in the film are French, so there will be a lot of subtitles in the film.

This is not the best Clint Eastwood directed movie, he’s directed better movies in the past, definitely, but I liked his new one, “Hereafter”. The story to “Hereafter” may seem boring to you, but once you start watching the film, you’ll say to yourself, “This is really interesting storytelling”. Nobody wants to know what it’s like to die. Everybody wants to know what life is like after death. That’s the idea of the film here. It seems that Clint is a religious man and this might be his way of expressing it. I really liked, “Hereafter”, I just wished Clint picked a better leading star ’cause I don’t see this film landing in the Oscars this time around, although I do see Jay Mohr landing a nomination for his role though.

Score for “Hereafter” = (*** = 3 stars as in “good”)

Cool Video: Zack Snyder’s “Sucker Punch” trailer, is this what his take on Superman will look like?

Well Zack Snyder’s new movie, “Sucker Punch” teaser trailer has finally hit the web. In my opinion, it looks okay, nothing I would see in theater though. Looks like a wait for DVD type of thing. The action and story looks interesting, but the thing that doesn’t do it for me is the two leading women in this filim trying to look sexy and tough. Is Zack Snyder a player when it comes to women? You know, Zack seems to have a good eye and seems to be an expert with eye candy when it comes to women in film.

You wonder if Lois Lane and Lana Lang will look all sexy and tough for his version in “Superman”. If you watch the “Sucker Punch” trailer, this might be an example of what his Superman film might be like. Full of CGI and lots of green screen effects and of course, *ahem*, slo mo.

After seeing this trailer, it’s making me a little worried for Chris Nolan and Snyder’s verison of “Superman”. “Superman” will probably ending up being like “300” and “Watchmen”.

Daredevil Tom Cruise performs stunt on the tallest building ever!

I know there are a lot of Tom Cruise haters out there, but maybe these pics will help give the man the respect that he deserves. He certainly got mine after seeing these pics. Daredevils would do crazy and dangerous things in big cities over the years. Well, Tom Cruise has become a bit of a daredevil himself. Tom hangs around on the tallest building in the world, the famous Burj Khalifa, in Dubai. You know how high that fucking building is? It is extremely high. You can also see Tom running across the building windows.

Tom is seen here, hanging off that building, using one cable and not using much to help him stay up there. Isn’t that crazy? Check out these pics here, and here.

Well, you can definitely tell that Tom is NOT afraid of heights for sure. Like the dude or not, you gotta give him credit for having some balls and bravery for doing a crazy and risky stunt like this. If any of those cables snapped, he definitely would have been a goner.

Terminator 2: 3D @ Universal Studios will give you deep insight on how Skynet all started…

Since I’m a huge Terminator fan and a huge Arnold fan, the first thing I wanted to make sure I see when I went to Universal Studios, is the “Terminator 2: 3D” thing. Yes, I did exactly that, as soon as I arrived at Universal, you will see footage of that too. I do not film inside the theater where they showed it at ’cause it might be considered, illegal bootlegging, so I kept my camera inside the camera bag while I’m watching the film inside.

As I walk through the doorway of the Terminator 3D theater, it was almost like a real movie theater, except the inside of the place, all had metal walls and metal floors to give it a Terminator feeling. It made you feel like you were on the set of a Terminator movie. As I wait in line with hundreds of other people waiting to get in, the security finally allowed us in theater after a half hour of waiting for more people to show up. The lights go dark, I put my 3D glasses on as did everyone else.

A commercial comes on the movie screens. We had to stand up for the first part since there were no chairs in the first room. Up above was a small stage, where a young woman appeared in front of a microphone. An actress wearing on orange Cyberdyne uniform. She starts talking saying she’s the president or CEO of Cyberdyme, a Cyberdyme commercial appears on the  movie screens in fancy 3D images. Suddenly, the commercial gets interupted with Sarah and John Connor (played by Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong) trying to warn this woman talking on stage, of what she’s doing is dangerous and trying to warn her about Skynet. After all that gets over with, the woman takes the audience to another room, a huge theater with chairs this time. The Cyberdyne woman stands in front of the mic, talking and talking about Cyberdyme, then she introduces new Terminator machines, which Terminator models pop up on both sides of the stage. The movie starts on the screen, and an actress looking like Sarah Connor runs to the stage where the woman was talking behind the mic. Sarah Connor held a fake machine gun pointing it at the woman, and the Terminator machines will start shooting their machine guns.

The Terminator 3D movie, “Battle Across Time” starts”. You know how in the actual, “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” movie, they never showed the resistance leader sending Terminator Arnold back to 1996 to protect John Connor? Well this film shows all that. It also shows the beginning of Skynet which got it’s start from Cyberdyne.

You’ll see lots of crazy special effects on the screen and live in the theater, you’ll see smoke machines, the robotic Terminator machines on the stages shooting their machine guns, toward the end water will spray down from the ceiling so you will get a little wet while watching this. Toward the end of the film, Arnold was fighting some creature that was seen in the film. As you see Arnold destroy the creature, when it blows up, your seats in the theater will do a thunderous LOUD thump. Seriously, you’ll feel your seats do a quick bounce that will scare the living hell out of you.

Terminator 2: 3D was quite an experience. I’m glad I got the opportunity to see it. It was very cool. I really miss seeing Arnold on the big screen, even though this film was old, it was still badass to see Arnold on the big screen again. T:2 3D was badass. You’ll see more than just a movie on a theater screen, there are actors doing theatre in it too. It’s a blast to see. Check it out if you ever go to Universal Studios someday.
