Billy Bob Thornton has signed on to star the leading role, that will star alongside, Dwayne Johnson. This film will be an action drama film titled, “Faster”, in which Johnson plays an ex-con out to avenge the death of his brother, while Billy Bob plays a veteran police officer who tries to race against Johnson to find the murderer before he does.

An actor for the murderer (or villain of the film) has not been casted yet.

It’s great to see Billy Bob finally back in the movies. He hasn’t had a leading role in a film since 2007’s, “Mr. Woodcock”.

He did say he was going to concentrate on music with the Boxmasters more than movies, so this explains why he’s been staying away from movies more.

Cool Video: Assasin’s Creed Lineage, short movie hits youtube…

“Assasin’s Creed Lineage” is a short movie that is based on the hit video game for the PS3/Xbox. The movie has been exclusively released for youtube only.

I actually watched the whole thing and it was actually pretty cool. I never played the two, “Assasin’s Creed” video games, but after seeing this movie makes me want to buy them.

Check it out, this is a very cool movie and cool story.

“JCVD” is one of Jean Claude’s best films ever…seriously check it out!!

Over the week, I bought the film “JCVD” on DVD. I never saw the film before. I’ve wanted to see it in theater, but the film was only playing in selected theaters in the U.S. since this is a French movie.

Jean Claude hasn’t made a great movie in years. Some of my favorite Jean Claude Van Damme movies are: “Blood Sport”, “Universal Soldier”, “Nowhere To Run”, and “Kickboxer”. That’s about it I believe.

I watched “JCVD”, last night and was really really impressed by it. The film is actually great. Jean Claude stars as himself in the film.

The film tells a story about an action star named, Jean Claude Van Damme, of course, who is struggling to get his life back together. He’s about to lose his family and his movie career. After losing a custody battle with his daughter in court, JCVD goes to the post office to get a wire transfer, only to find himself being held hostage in a robbery. At first, the movie tries to make it look like that JCVD was holding the post office hostage when it was another robber really doing it. JC was later being framed for robbing the post office.

I would seriously reccomend this movie, this movie reminded me of Al Pacino’s “Dog Day Afternoon”.

I wish this movie, “JCVD” had a wider release. Jean Claude’s acting skills was actually fantastic in this film. The film was beautifully made, and a pretty thrilling movie.

Definitely check it out. I think it’s Jean Claude’s best film since “Bloodsport”.

First look at the new A-Team

New pic of the A-Team remake, new cast starring the A-Team. It’s a painting or a graphic design of the cast. It’s pretty close to the original cast from the TV series.

Looks awesome, and can’t wait.

Why isn’t Rampage wearing Mr. T’s golden chain necklaces? I’m sure he would be wearing them for the film.

I hope this film won’t be a comedy, it would be a mix of action and drama like the TV show. I’m sure it would stay true to the TV show.

Cool Video: Brian Dennehy speaks on the first Rambo…

New interview with former Rambo star, Brian Dennehy who played Sheriff Will Teasle. This is recent and very new. Although Brian is old now, he still looks like he did back in “First Blood”, he hasn’t aged a bit, in my opinion.

He says he hasn’t seen the other “Rambo” movies, which is either he is telling the truth or it’s just a polite way of saying he doesn’t like the other “Rambo” films out of respect for Sly.

I hope he agrees to return to “Rambo 5” if Sly asks him.

Report: “Mad Max 4” to start production in summer of 2010…

George Miller announced that, “Mad Max 4” will begin filming in the summer of 2010. No casting has been made, but George says Sam Worthington will be the first in line if Mel Gibson turns it down. They are still interested in reprising Mel.

Mel has turned this down once before, but that was back when he claimed he was done with acting in leading roles and he was going to concentrate on directing more.

Now that Mel Gibson is starting to work on leading roles again, which his next movie is the action/thriller, “Edge of Darkness” and he will next star in Jodi Foster’s, “The Beaver”…who knows, maybe good ol’ Mel, will change his mind about “Mad Max 4” and might agree to star in it?

I seriously hope Mel won’t turn this down. I won’ t see another “Mad Max” movie if Mel doesn’t star in it, so I’m crossing my fingers that he will say yes in returning. There can’t be a Mad Max movie without him!

Report: Healthy and unhealthy snacks at the movies…

If you’re a bodybuilder or simply trying to lose the weight, you have to be careful what you eat everywhere you go when not at home. Including when you go to the movies. If you’re a fitness and health person that enjoys going to the movies on a regular basis like myself, you must stay away from popcorn completely. Popcorn is your enemy as they are high in calories and high in fat too.

Probably the most healthiest snacks to eat from the snack bar at Regal’s movies would be a pretzel. I never really eat snacks when I go to the movies since the food there is very pricey, but if I felt like it, I would probably go for a pretzel. If I was in the mood for chocolate, Kit Kat bars are probably the most healthiest candy bars out there. Swedish Fish, is also a healthy snack that is good for ya. Swedish Fish, them chewy red fishes that are all tasty and stuff.

I’m trying to keep my nutrition plan, as strict as possible. Only eat healthy stuff during the week, and I just eat what I want on the weekends. When I go grocery shopping, I always find myself looking at every nutritional labels, making sure if it’s good or not good.

I like to eat what I want on the weekends only ’cause I was reccomended that it is okay to still put some calories on ya when bodybuilding. Not too much calories but some.

Film Review: Law Abiding Citizen

Starring: Jamie Foxx, Gerard Butler, Colm Meaney

Directed by: F. Gary Gray

Today, I just saw the movie, “Law Abiding Citizen”. Nothing else out playing, wasn’t really interested in seeing, “Where the Wild Things Are”, that I’ll wait for DVD on, so I went and saw this movie instead. Drew Barrymore’s “Whip It” is not even worth reviewing since that film was alright and really nothing special.

Here is my review for “Law Abiding Citizen”:

Plot/Synopsis: A normal father, Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) lives a regular and happy life by living with his wife and his daughter. Suddenly, him and his family has been attacked by two robbers. His wife and his daughter is murdered by one of the robbers. In the killer’s trial, the killer is released from prison 10 years later. Clyde is out for revenge, he hunts down the man that killed his family and kills him himself. Clyde’s revenge is not yet over. He is still on revenge against law enforcement who let the killer free. This is Clyde’s way of trying to fix the justice system himself.

This was an entertaining film. Nothing all that great or amazing, nothing really Oscar worthy, but just a fun little popcorn film. The story and plot is kind of whacky, but hey, it’s just a movie, right?

Of course, the acting of Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler stoled the show, their acting was great in this. I’m also glad to see Colm Meaney who is a former, “Star Trek: The Next Generation” star. Remember, Colm played Miles O’ Brien in “Star Trek: TNG” years back.

The movie had a mix of action, suspense, comedy, and drama thrown in. There is also a bit of blood and gore in this flick as well. The action scenes were good, lots of explosions and things like that, but nothing really that will take you at the edge of your seat.

It wasn’t really a bad film. I just think the writing needs to be a little better. It would have been a moving film if they had a better script for this.

I say this movie is pretty good.

Score for “Law Abiding Citizen” = *** (3 stars as in “Good”)

“High School the Musical” director Adam Shankman, is set to bring us “Rock of Ages” broadway musical to the big screen. “Rock of Ages” is a broadway musical play that focused mostly on 80’s rock music. The musical starred former American Idol star, Constantine Maroulis.

Shankman says this movie will be strictly aimed toward the men audience by describing it, “The Mamma Mia for dudes”.

Variety Reports:

See the Rock of Ages official Broadway site here:

No casting announcement for the film version yet, but I’m willing to bet they will sign Constantine Maroulis for the film version too. I don’t see anybody else playing the Drew character other than Constantine.
