MJ’s “Captain EO” short movie here, full film…

Another thing that MJ was famous for, his science fiction character of Captain EO from the short movie he made.

Hollywood to do a full length remake of “Captain EO” for the big screen, with someone else playing the leading character? Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what’s Disney is planning other than the MJ biopic. Disney would probably bring Captain EO back.

“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, will see it this weekend…

I will see, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” this weekend. Review coming soon. This movie is getting mixed reviews. A lot of people love it, and some hate it. Although, this movie is creating some controversy as well, as some critics say it’s very racist.

As a little child, I was a huge Transformers fan. I collected all the action figures and watched the cartoon series pretty religiously.

IMO, Shia Labeouf, is not the right choice of a star for a movie like this. I just like the movies for the fun action scenes, the cool robots and of course, the sexy Megan Fox.

Looking forward to seeing “Revenge of the Fallen” this weekend, hope it won’t suck. Hope I’ll like it.

Report: Oscar nominations for Best Picture is now up to 10 instead of the usual 5…

What an interesting move! Instead of the usual 5 of “Best Picture” nominations every year, the Academy has now changed it up to 10 Oscar nominations for “Best Picture”. Wow, that’s a lot!

Variety Reports:

It’s a good idea, I like it! It gives more room for other great movies to get nominated that didn’t get a chance!

Report: David Fincher to direct, “Facebook – The Movie”…

David Fincher is in talks to direct, “Facebook – The Movie”, a film that will focus on the beggining of the social networking website. The film will actually be titled, “The Social Network”.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118005289.html?categoryid=13&cs=1

The film will probably have Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook creator in the film played by a different actor.

Here is Mark here:

Mark is just a young kid, in his late 20’s I believe. So a young actor would have to play him.

Fincher would probably go for Jake Gyllenhaal to play him. Fincher already worked with Gyllenhaal once in “Zodiac”, I’ll bet your money he’ll get Jake for this too.

What’s next? Will Hollywood do a movie on “Myspace” and “Twitter”?

BREAKING NEWS: JJ Abrams “Star Trek” is now biggest “Star Trek” film in history!!!

You’ve been reading my blogs about the new “Star Trek” movie ever since it’s been announced. I’ve been predicting since then, that “Star Trek” was going to beat out the rest of the Star Trek movies in the box office. See? What I tell you? It actually happened!!!! JJ’s “Star Trek”, the biggest Star Trek film ever!!!!!! Congratulations, JJ! That man saved the “Star Trek” franchise big time. This is only the beggining as Star Trek will get even bigger in the future.

George Lucas must be pissed right now. Will he do another Star Wars trilogy to compete with Paramount on Star Trek? Wouldn’t surprise me.

Report: Sly Stallone to voice a lion in “The Zoo Keeper” family film…

Sylvester Stallone has joined the cast of a family live action film titled, “The Zoo Keeper”. The movie will be about a bunch of animals in a Zoo that tries to help a zookeeper teach him dating and mating to hook up with the woman of his dreams. Stallone will be the voice of a lion. Also joining the cast are Adam Sandler, Cher, Jon Favreau and Judd Apatow.

This isn’t the first time Sly has joined family films, he was also in the animated movie, “Antz” doing voice overs and also played several different characters in “Spy Kids 3D: Game Over” which that film marked his comeback to Hollywood.

I think Sly wants to do more films for his little daughters. That could be the reason for him joining a movie like this.

Report: Duncan Jones is planning to have David Bowie star the leading role in one of his movies…

After Duncan Jones’s science fiction film, “Moon”…it should be no surprise to everyone that Duncan plans to work with his rock star father, David Bowie, to star in the leading role of one of his films.

David Bowie doesn’t star in leading roles much in Hollywood films. He has been starring in small cameos in major movies over the years. Bowie only had huge roles in two films, “The Man Who Fell To Earth”, and “Labrynth”. Duncan thinks it’s time that David needs to star in leading roles again. Only thing though, Duncan feels that he needs to do a few more films before working with his father.

More on it here:

http://www.nme.com/news/david-bowie/45510

David Bowie hasn’t been doing anything in his career lately. No new music, no new movie roles. No nothing. Is David retiring and calling it quits? Why has the man been so quiet lately?

Report: The Governator surviving emergency plane landing that could have been a plane crash…

It’s a good thing that Arnold is ok, and not injured or even worse, glad he wasn’t killed that would have been a plane crash. So they must of have a really good pilot if he was paying attention.

I’m sure this won’t stop his filming of, “The Expendables” with Sly.

Cool Video: Trailer for Roland Emmerich’s “2012”…

Here’s Roland Emmerich’s third movie about the world coming to an end. The other two movies about this topic were “ID4” and “The Day After Tomorrow”. This one is, “2012”, that stars John Cusack in the leading role.

Read the story and see trailer released exclusively at yahoo movies:

http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/2012-roland-emmerich.html

Don’t believe this phony bullshit that the world is going to end soon. It’s just Roland’s fantasies and he even admitted in this article that he made it up for a story.

I do believe that Earth will end one day, but not this soon. It probably won’t happen like in another billion years. They do this “2012” shit, just to try and scare people.

As far as my thoughts on the film, it looks like a silly popcorn flick that I won’t be interested in, so it looks like a wait for DVD thing for me.

Top Ten Greatest Movie Dads of All Time!!!

It’s fathers Day Weekend. And I just wanted to name my favorite movie Dads of all times. Characters that are fathers in hollywood movies over the years.

Here’s my top ten in no particular order:

  • Sean Connery as Henry Jones Sr. in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” – this one definitely tops my list. Definitely my favorite movie Dad that you can actually watch and enjoy.
  • Chevy Chase as Clark Griswold in the “National Lampoon’s Vacation” series – I loved all the National Lampoon’s movies with Chevy in them. Chevy Chase is great playing a family father that is a crazy whacko!!!
  • Michael Douglas as Robert Wakefield in “Traffic” – Douglas plays an intense character and some of his best acting in his career. He plays a father who has a daughter who is a cocaine addict while this war on drugs is being fought.
  • Crispin Glover as George McFly in “Back to the Future I and II” – One of the best movie Dads ever, in my opinion. Can’t forget that weird George McFly laugh and being a peeping tom. Crispin is great in both “Back to the Future’s 1 and 2”.
  •  Richard Dreyfuss as Roy Neary in “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” – Can’t forget that classic scene when this guy is at the dinner table trying to form a huge pile of mashed potatoes into a mountain shape. Great flick and one of Spielberg’s best films!
  • Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone in “The Godfather” – Can’t leave this classic off the list.
  • Marlon Brando as Jor-El in “Superman: The Movie” – There is something so special and very intense about Marlon Brando playing Jor-El in the first Superman movie. Something that sends chills down your spine about this character in the film. Such powerful acting, in my opinion.
  • Sylvester Stallone as Rocky in the “Rocky” series – If you’re going to do a top father’s day movie list with the greatest dads, then you have no business doing one if you leave Rocky Balboa out.
  • Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills in “Taken” – How would you like to have a father like this? If you get kidnapped by gangs and other criminals, your Dad comes to the rescue.
  • Tom Hanks as Michael Sullivan, Paul Newman as John Rooney in “The Road To Perdition” – In this fantastic and amazing movie, Tom Hanks plays a father in which his son doesn’t know that he is a career criminal aka, a mobster. Committing crimes is what his father did for a living.
