Earlier today I listened to Sturgill Simpson’s “Sailor’s Guide To Earth” album and I was so fucking impressed by it. That album was pretty amazing. LOVED IT! Sturgill’s music is country a little bit but he also adds in other genres of music into his work. I just love his singing voice and his backup band makes some very good music as well.
I think his album should have won “Album of the Year” at the Grammy’s instead of Adele. Of course, the Grammy’s always have to pick Adele ’cause well, she’s Adele. Anyway, “Sailor’s Guide to Earth” by Sturgill Simpson was an incredible album. Think I’m gonna be listening to it a lot for sure. Sturgill’s music is so different. Can’t even describe the genre he plays really. They call him a country artist and roots rock but I hear a lot of jazz & blues in his music too.
“Sailor’s Guide to Earth” is a great album and you should give it a listen too. As a matter of fact, I never heard of this Sturgill Simpson guy before until he got nominated for “Album of the Year” for this record. I thought he was just another typical pop artist but it turns out he wasn’t that. He’s an artist with real talent. A guy who plays his own instruments and writes his own songs while the other artists in the “Album of the Year” category didn’t write their own songs.
I was surprised how great “Sailor’s Guide” was and I would like to see Sturgill Simpson live in concert someday. So glad I discovered this guy’s music. I really dig this song he did called “Call to Arms”… in the song sends a political message but still though the song is so fucking tight. Love it. Enjoy.
This is pretty amazing and this was a very courageous thing for this beautiful woman to do. Of course, it’s pissing off all the liberals and the snowflakes. A lot of liberals on the internet going, “You right-wingers tell stars to keep politics out of music but when stars go pro-Trump, you love them for it”.
Well, music stars and celebrities showing their support for Trump publicly is not political. What they do is try to stand up for something they believe in. Not being afraid of “free speech” and staying above the negativity & hate that the left spews out all the time. This is about unity and positivity which is what Trump’s campaign was about all along.
This gorgeous woman makes me proud to be a Trump supporter even more. Yeah, people gave me a lot of shit for being a Trump supporter but this woman is inspiring me to stay above that stuff. That’s what the message she was trying to send. To rise above the haters and bullies in this world.
The liberal crybaby haters and snowflakes out there are living in a delusional fantasy world that her music career is over just because she publicly came out in support of Trump. Well, they are delusional ’cause Joy’s albums are skyrocketing.
She also gained a lot more popularity and fans. I listened to her “Vagabonds” song in youtube and it’s a pretty cool song. I’ll probably get her latest EP.
Those Trump haters and snowflakes believe that if you are pro-Trump, you lose a lot of respect and your reputation is ruined if you support Trump. No. You see, that’s what the media wants you to believe. It’s actually a good thing to support Trump
Whenever I write and release new songs, will my music life be over only because I support Trump? I predict no. It’s a possibility that even more people will listen to my music when I get new stuff out there. Maybe this is why the local music scene in Albany refuses to promote my music ’cause of my “right-wing” political beliefs as I know how left-wing this music scene is. I’ll have another blog post on this soon.
Anyway, back to Joy Villa this woman is awesome and she just got herself a new fan which is me. She has my back and full support 100%.
I think the goal with this collaboration is that James and Lady Gaga were to trade vocal lines back and forth in the first verses before the chorus… then they would sing the chorus together. However, though, James was having technical issues with the mic. He tried singing the first verses but he couldn’t hear anything coming out of it. So while James was having technical issues during the first verses, Gaga sung her lines of what she was supposed to sing anyways. During that performance, you can immediately tell that James was pissed as fuck. Out of frustration, he gave up on that mic and him and Gaga shared a mic together. Then when the sound guy finally fixed the mic, James went back to his mic and sung the second verses this time.
A lot of people online are unfairly blaming Metallica for this but the way I see it, this was not their fault at all. It’s just that the Grammy’s hired a crappy sound guy and they had amatuer-ish stage technicians. Don’t blame Metallica, blame the Grammy’s. It was totally their fault.
After this, I think Metallica will soon put out a statement and talk about what happened. Then Metallica and Gaga will perform this song again together at one of their concerts for their “Hardwired” US tour so they can have a better performance, I’m sure that will happen.
People are hating Metallica even more after that performance and I can’t understand why. Metallica continues to have a lot of haters but I always respected that band and always will. People’s hatred for them got worse after that performance.
Other than the technical issues, it proved that James Hetfield can really sing and he’s no lip syncer at all. Same with Gaga, she’s a real singer as well and I loved how she looks like she’s having a blast performing with them ’cause she seems like a real Metallica fan too. I think Lady Gaga is winning my respect back and I think I’ll go back to supporting her music again. Remember, don’t blame Metallica for this ’cause the Grammy’s had technical issues throughout the show. They were horrible.
Other than that, last night’s Grammy awards was surprisingly a pretty good show. They kept politics out of things for the most part except for Katy Perry who went political about Trump’s border wall and immigration predictably so screw Katy Perry. Also, The Grammy’s president Neil Portnow went on a political rant about how President Trump needs to protect the arts and I’m like “what?”.
I thought the best performances of the night were Beyonce and Bruno Mars’s Prince tribute. Both were pretty amazing, I thought. Yeah, I know I gave Beyonce a lot of shit over the years but she kept her political messages out of things for once and that was good enough to have a change of heart with her. She didn’t bash Trump at all which I was surprised about. She focused on the performance which was actually interesting. As far as Bruno Mars goes, I was never a fan of that guy but I’m starting to like him more and actually thinking about buying his music soon. I thought Chance the Rapper was pretty good too.
I’m glad they gave “Record of the Year” and “Album of the Year” to Adele ’cause “25” is a good album as I have that album in my CD collection. I have all of Adele’s albums. She’s my favorite artist too.
As far as James Corden goes, the Grammy’s host, I was surprised that he didn’t go political at all. Didn’t bash Trump or anything like that. He focused on making people laugh and telling jokes which is what he was supposed to do. James Corden did a good job and I enjoyed watching him.
It was surprisingly a pretty good “Grammy’s” night. Better than last year’s anyways and I think they’re improving.
This is why I’m totally done supporting Springsteen’s music. Excuse me, Bruce but we’re not embarrassed Americans at all ’cause “We The People” are the ones that voted Trump in office. Springsteen, just another brainwashed liberal crybaby. Another loser ramming his opinions down our throats and putting words in our mouths like he always is. The only Americans who are embarrassed that Trump is our president are those delusional liberals.
Springsteen is losing more and more respect as an artist. I used to love him but I’m so done. No more buying his music and I will never see him in concert either. He should take note from Lady Gaga and keep politics out of live shows.
Admittedly Lady Gaga did keep politics out of music at her Superbowl performance for the most part even though she managed to sneak a few things in, I’ll admit that she did do a good job keeping politics out of music. Will Gaga keep politics out of music from now on, now that her music sales are soaring like crazy?
I think it’s a possibility she will. You see in music, when you want to have a fan base you can’t divide your fan base to liberal vs. conservative if you know what I mean. We can’t have music like that. You need to attract music fans of all types regardless of political views so in order for a music artist to attract a lot of fans (all types of fans), you must keep politics out of music.
Who knows though, sooner or later Gaga keeping politics out of music won’t last and she could get back into her liberal bullshit soon enough, don’t be surprised. If Gaga wants respect as an artist she should keep politics out of music. Hear that Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young??? Yeah, I’m talking to both of you guys.
I’m even thinking about doing the same. Should I quit talking politics and focus on music? Might be a good idea and I almost thought about doing that in the past. You can’t attract listeners if you’re going to keep up the political bullshit. I probably won’t give up politics for good but I’ll try to simmer it down some. Not sure. Too many local bands and artists around the Albany area are pretty horrible with their liberal politics and I wish all of them would knock it the fuck off. Music is no place for politics.
I stopped supporting many famous bands ’cause they won’t cut their left-wing political garbage: Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Springsteen, Neil Young, etc. Bands and artists that I used to love and admire. Not anymore, though.
I guess Gaga did make the point that artists should shut up and sing. If she can continue to keep politics out of music for good then she might win my respect back. I think she possibly will keep politics out of music now that her music sales are going sky high. Other music artists should take note. If you want to attract more listeners and more fans then stop the political bullshit. I’m kind of thinking about doing the same.
While Lady Gaga did avoid politics for most of her Halftime performance, she still managed to sneak in a few things here and there. Other than the “This Land is Your Land” song, she also did the “Born This Way” promoting LGBT rights and equality. That was all, for the most part she did avoid politics. Why? Did she finally accept that Trump is our president? No. I think she still hates him.
Keep in mind, y’all that the Grammy’s are gonna be on this Sunday night and I’m sure she’s slated to perform the Grammy’s this Sunday and she’ll probably present an award too. I’m sure Gaga will go back to her usual left-wing political bullshit. She had to avoid politics mostly at the Superbowl so she can avoid a backlash from Trump supporters probably. Everyone’s on the internet going… “Yay, Gaga’s trying to bring everyone together in a positive way”… no. She only had to do that for the Superbowl and like I said, she’ll go back to her usual bullshit after the Superbowl is over. She’ll go back to hating Trump again, watch her.
What did I think of her halftime performance musically? Everybody’s saying how she rocked it and killed it but honestly I didn’t find it anything special. She’s just a typical pop star like the rest of them and I think the only reason the NFL had her on was so that they can try to make people have more respect to pop music. Not happening with me ’cause I hate most mainstream pop music. I used to like Gaga but stopped liking her. The music industry is getting a lot worse.
How about some real talent next year? I would like Metallica or Ac/Dc to perform Superbowl halftime next year or even better the reunited Guns N’ Roses would be cool too. Nope, the NFL will get another pop star next year. Who’s it gonna be next year? Justin Bieber? Jay-Z? Wouldn’t be surprised.
I have been obsessively following Billy Corgan’s documentary project on FB & Youtube called “30 Days”. It’s a video project where Billy travels across America. What’s the project is about? It’s just something he wants to do since he’s not touring at the moment. He’s just travelling around doing some sight seeing, checking out some different small towns & cities… he also goes around meeting people and performing songs with his acoustic guitar at random places. He does this thing called “50 for 50″where he plays like 50 Smashing Pumpkins songs over the years. He has already performed songs from “Siamese Dream” and “Mellie Collie” which both are amazing albums, btw.
There’s a lot of talk and so much buzz about the original Smashing Pumpkins lineup reuniting for a possible tour. Ya know, the original Pumpkins lineup featuring Corgan, D’arcy Wretsky, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin. According to Corgan the man himself, he says he doesn’t know if a tour would happen with them but he is talking with all the members again and he’s getting along with all of them so who knows? I think an original Smashing Pumpkins lineup tour will probably happen this year or next. If it does happen, hopefully they do a new studio album together too.
I love the Smashing Pumpkins. Always did and still do; however, like most people the original lineup will always be important to me. It’ll be fucking awesome if the original lineup would play all the Pumpkins songs from the first three albums on tour: “Gish”, “Siamese Dream” and “Mellie Collie”. All three are pretty amazing albums.
Anyways, I’m really enjoying Billy’s “30 Days” project. I’ve watched every video he did so far. Billy’s an interesting guy in real life. He seems cool and he seems like a nice guy too. I love how Billy loves his fans ’cause as he’s travelling out there, he does get spotted by die-hard Pumpkins fans a lot.
I’m looking forward to hearing Billy’s first solo album too as I will buy it when it comes out. I’ve been a huge Pumpkins fan throughout my life pretty much. They were important to me when I was a teenager in high school. I remember I used to bring my portable CD player to school a lot and I would listen to the Smashing Pumpkins during lunch or study hall or whatever. They were important to me as a kid so it would be cool if the original lineup gets back together so I’m crossing my fingers for now.
Why are most of Hollywood movie stars and most of the music industry very liberal people? Well simply because the media wanted them to be. That is pretty much part of why the mainstream media has liberal bias everywhere. The media wants celebrities and music stars to talk politics. It’s why they promote liberalism. The media are hoping to use celebrities and music stars to help spread the message about liberalism so Democrats can stay in power. Is that part of how Obama won twice ’cause of the power of the media and sending the message through celebrities? Yes.
Yeah, I know it’s pretty sad and disappointing that most of Hollywood and the music industry are very liberal people; however, not all of Hollywood and the music industry are liberal. There are some famous people out there who are very conservative like Ted Nugent, Jon Voight, James Woods, Scott Baio, Clint Eastwood, Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal and lots more to list. Anyway, when celebrities publicly express their “conservatism”… the media will do all they can to destroy them and marginalize them. The media continues to treat liberal celebrities like “heroes” such as Madonna, Meryl Streep, Stephen King, George Clooney, Katy Perry, etc. but they treat conservative celebs like enemies.
When Madonna threatened to blow up the White House, liberals didn’t bat an eye but Ted Nugent gets into all kinds of trouble for calling Obama a subhuman mongrel. That’s how black and white the media sees politics.
Liberal celebrities speak out on their politics ’cause the media got them to. Celebrities are just as gullible and naive as well. A lot of them can be stupid and unintelligent.
There are a lot of celebs out there who are good at keeping politics away from their careers for example Taylor Swift. She’s doing a good job keeping her music career separate from politics which is how it should be. You never know what her political views are ’cause she keeps quiet about politics. The media probably wants her to speak out but she won’t which is smart. She is probably a die-hard liberal too (wouldn’t surprise me) but who knows maybe she’s conservative as well? You just never know. I think it’s great that she’s shutting up about politics ’cause she doesn’t want to alienate her own fan base. People would stop supporting her music if she spoke out.
Look, it’s fine that celebrities hate Donald Trump but when they speak out and ram their opinions down everyone’s throats, it’s a turn off. I think this year I’m planning on selling my Stephen King book collection. Gonna get rid of all of ’em ’cause I’m done with his shit. He won’t stop the Trump bashing on his twitter. I’m also gonna get rid of all albums on CD I own by these artists: Springsteen, Neil Young, U2, any project that Chris Cornell is involved in (Soundgarden, Audioslave, solo) and also boycotting Pearl Jam. Gonna get rid of all their CD’s and sell ’em. It’s no secret that Tom Morello is a liberal and Trump hater but I had no idea Cornell was. Audioslave played the Trump anti-inaugural so I just threw Cornell on the boycott list.
I’m also thinking about throwing Metallica on the boycott list ’cause Kirk Hammett went on an anti-Trump rant on his twitter.
The media are still trying to use celebrities to help spread the message and gain more power but not anymore. It’s the USA vs. Hollywood. We’re done with Hollywood and the media. They’re all losing power this time. They want to bash Trump and his supporters? Well we fight back. That’s what it’s about. I’m fed up with Hollywood and the media like most. Hopefully Trump will do a good job uniting us all ’cause we really need it badly.
Announced by 3 Doors Down today, the band has announced that they will perform live at Trump’s Inaugural Celebration next week on Jan. 19th. Toby Keith is also confirmed to perform. 3 Doors Down are well known for their hits “Kryptonite” and “Loser”. Toby Keith is well-known for his hits, “How Do You Like Me Now” and “Courtesy Of Red White and Blue”.
It should have been no surprise to see that Toby Keith maybe performing at Trump’s inaugural ’cause a lot of his songs are pretty patriotic. Plus, Toby is a big supporter of our troops and he does a lot for them so Toby must be a Trump supporter.
I used to listen to 3 Doors Down a lot when I was young. I think I still have their first album, “The Better Life” in my music collection.
I’m pretty sure a lot of liberal crybabies are already threatening to boycott their music.
Here’s to my favorite singer and songwriter, David Bowie. There’s not one song I don’t like by David Bowie. He’s one of those artists where you can like all of his music and I do. How can you not like David Bowie, ya know? I’ve been a fan of his music long before his passing.
I am now trying to collect all of his studio albums. So far I only have 12 of them.
When I first picked up the guitar, initially, I never wanted to have anything to do with singing lead vocals… I just wanted to be a guitar player. Until I heard Bowie, that’s when I wanted to become a singer myself. It was him who helped me inspire to play guitar and sing too in which he did both also.
His singing voice was powerful and unique. His songwriting was genius too. I love Bowie. Always did. RIP Bowie.
