Hey Corey Taylor, I know what it’s like to get hate from other musicians so I feel ya…

Out of the blue, Deicide’s frontman Glen Benton attacked Corey Taylor of Slipknot for no reason. Benton attacked Taylor wondering why Taylor never helped Deicide to go on tour with Slipknot. Corey Taylor himself was quick to respond to defend himself and Slipknot. Gotta love how humble Corey is. Instead of attacking Deicide in return, Corey goes on to say that he hasn’t talked with Glen for years and he would have helped Deicide get more exposure if Benton asked but he never did.

Plus, Corey goes on to say that not everybody is gonna like you as a musician.

I loved it when Corey said this: “There are pros and cons with it, and you deal with it the best you can. At the end of the day, not everyone’s gonna like you, and you have to learn that. If you think everyone’s gonna like you, you need to get a helmet, ’cause your life’s gonna be really sad.”

Ya know, Corey is right… not everyone is gonna like you in the music world. When I first started to play my music publicly in the local music scene… I got attacked, bullied and I’ve been made fun of by other musicians in the scene. I couldn’t figure out why that happened but over the years I’ve learned that not everyone is gonna like you and you can’t please everyone, ya know?

I love Corey’s response to that as that man is a class act and that was a professional response too. You got to deal with a lot of egos and jealousy.

I’ve had big public feuds with other musicians and bands myself which should be nameless. I’m sure there are plenty of musicians who still hate me but I don’t let them get to me anymore. I just ignore them and just continue to play my music. That’s the way to be. Only care about your music and not worry about what people think of you.

I’m a huge fan of Slipknot, btw. They’re one of my favorite bands. Love all their records but I think “The Gray Chapter” was the best record in their career.

What’s up with Phantogram and Sarah’s new look???

Wow. Sarah is starting to look like Lady Gaga or something. The white hair is obviously a wig and looks like she got a boob job done too (aka breast implants). Her stage outfit is ridiculous as well.

I remember in the past that I tried to warn fans that she would look something like this the more famous she got and I was right. This band definitely want to make it in the industry and become pop stars that’s for sure.

As far as Sarah’s new look goes, I don’t really like it. I honestly liked the way she looked before but whatever. This is the music industry. This band is making a lot of money probably so a lot of money can make you look how you want to. I tried to warn people that Sarah would look like this the more famous she got but their Greenwich fanbase ripped me for it.

I don’t see anything special in Phantogram and can’t understand why people love them so much. I saw them live once and heard their first album so I have the right to criticize.

Kesha drops lawsuit against Dr. Luke ’cause simply she couldn’t prove he raped her… period???

Well this didn’t come as a surprise at all. The only reason Kesha is dropping this stupid lawsuit is ’cause she is coming to a realization that she couldn’t prove that Dr. Luke raped her and abused her. She couldn’t find a way to prove his guilt. Kesha is such a greedy bitch and I’ll never support her music for this reason.

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/kesha-drops-california-suit-against-dr-luke-proceeds-in-ny-w432143

You guys gotta understand some women that some of them are evil. They’ll do anything to get more attention and a bigger payday by accusing men of rape. It has happened lots of times before where women would accuse other men of rape just to get more money. Some would think that this cunt would keep going after Dr. Luke but I don’t think she will anymore.

I think it’s  a pretty shady way for wanting to get out of a label by accusing the producer of raping her. How low can this stupid woman get? The #FreeKesha movement was the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.

Kesha’s music is pretty horrible anyways. Who cares.

Temple of the Dog will reunite and tour for the first time…

Chris Cornell formed the band, Temple of the Dog in the year 1990 ’cause he wanted to pay tribute to his friend Andrew Wood (who died of drug overdose) who was the singer for Mother Love Bone. The band Temple of the Dog featured Chris himself and members of Pearl Jam. Yes, even Eddie Vedder was in Temple to sing backup vocals for a few  songs and sung parts of “Hunger Strike” w/ Chris. The song “Hunger Strike” became a huge hit… the video was played constantly on MTV/VH1 and the song was all over the FM radio back in the day. I’ll never forget it. “Hunger Strike” is one of my favorite songs of all time and I still love the song now. Will Eddie himself be a part of this tour so he can sing “Hunger Strike” with Chris? Probably. That song can only be sung by those two guys, nobody else. I can’t see anybody else singing Eddie’s vocal part toward the end of the song, “I’m going hunnnnngggggrrrrryyyyyyyy” and then Chris goes, “going Hungry aaahhhhhhhhhhhh”. You get the deal.

The Temple of the Dog tour just announced, yeah, this is the band’s first tour ever ’cause the band never toured. They just recorded in the studio ’cause they wanted to make a tribute for their friend. That’s all they made that album for.

They’re doing this as a celebration for the 25th anniversary of that album they did. I used to have that album on CD but not sure what happened to it. Maybe somebody borrowed it from me and never gave it back or whatever but this reminds me that I should get this album again. I’ll probably buy it from Itunes sometime.

Question is, will Temple of the Dog record a second album together in the studio? Who knows. We’ll have to wait and see what the band decides. I’d love them to do a second album.

Bands & artists that everyone loves but I don’t like…

I may have posted this topic a long time ago before but just for fun, I don’t mind doing it again. There are bands & artists out there that a lot of people like but I’m probably one of the very few that don’t care for that band or artist.

Well, here is a top 15 list of bands & artists that everyone loves but I don’t… if this list pisses off a few, I don’t care:

  • The Rolling Stones: Everybody loves the Stones but I’m probably one of the few who can’t stand ’em. I respect Keith Richards guitar playing but I don’t like Mick Jagger’s singing. There are some Stones songs that I actually do like, though. I’m just not that crazy about them.
  • Bob Dylan: I respect Dylan’s legacy but was never all that big of a fan. I never really bought his albums but there a few Dylan songs that I like but that’s about it.
  • John Mayer: Mayer is a great lead guitarist but I hate his songwriting. I don’t like his singing and I also think he’s overrated as hell.
  • Phantogram: I guess they count as a national act now so it’s safe to put them on here. Everybody seems to love Phantogram just because they’re from Greenwich and have a lot of Greenwich friends but I’m probably one of the few who don’t care for them. Yeah, I’ve heard their music, seen their videos and even saw them live once. I’m not trying to knock ’em, they’re not my cup of tea is all. Not sure what people see in them but whatever. I also think they’re overrated.
  • Ed Sheeran: Many love Sheeran but I can’t understand him. He’s just another overrated hack to me.
  • Prince:  I respect Prince’s legacy but I never really got into his music. Although I did watch the “Purple Rain” movie which is a good film.
  • The Dave Matthews Band: Used to love ’em but not anymore.
  • Red Hot Chilli Peppers: I stopped liking the Chilli Peppers after John Frusciante left the band. I don’t like their new guitarist.
  • Poison: A lot of people seem to dig this 80’s hair metal band with Brett Michaels but I never really got into them. Although, “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn” is the only good song I like from them.
  • Bon Jovi: Women love Jovi for his good looks and guys love him for the music. I’m probably one of the few who don’t care for Bon Jovi. Am I the only one who finds his singing voice annoying?
  • The Eagles: Like the Dude says in the Big Lebowski, “I hate the fucking Eagles, man”. I’m right there with him. I hate the Eagles too. Although, I’ll admit that “Hotel California” is the only song I like from them.
  • Coldplay: The only good album they did was “Rush of Blood To The Head” but other than that… once they’ve gone mainstream, they’re a pop band now.
  • Bruno Mars: Everybody seems to love this guy named Bruno Mars and people has been talking about him nonstop since his Superbowl appearance but I’m probably one of the few who don’t understand him. Another overrated hack.
  • The Weekend: A lot of people seems to be all over this guy but I can’t understand him as well. His music is also not my cup of tea at all. Sorry.
  • Florence and The Machine: A lot of people seem to all over them but I hope I’m not the only one who can’t stand Florence and her voice.

That’s all for now. I’m sure there’s more but can’t think of ’em right now.

Seems like each time I show my love for Led Zeppelin, people want to negatively criticize the band…

It’s pretty obvious that Led Zep still has a lot of haters. Each time I want to talk about the band positively, seems like a lot of people want to criticize them in a negative direction still. People will always find ways to criticize Led Zeppelin. For examples: “They’re the most unoriginal band, they rip off other peoples songs”, “They’re overrated”, “Jimmy Page is a sloppy guitar player”, “Jimmy Page banged a 16 year old groupie”, “Jimmy Page is into black magic and Alistair Crowley”, “Led Zep will never reunite again”, etc. I can go on all day about this.

What is it that each time you want to talk about Led Zep positively, it explodes into a controversial debate? There’s no doubt that Led Zep is a controversial band. They’ve always have been. I’m used to getting shit on each time I want to talk about Led Zep positively. It happens everywhere I want to talk about them.

The thing is that Led Zep is just one of those bands who knows how to get people talking whether positively or negatively. That’s what is so mysterious about the band. Whether you like Led Zeppelin or not, people just love talking about them. They can’t stop talking about them. Even though that Led Zeppelin appears to be done in the music business, people can’t stop talking about them. Why? Because they’re the mighty Zep is why. Led Zep will never be forgotten even if they disappear from the industry.

Even if the band will no longer go on tour or make a new album, Jimmy Page will always try to find a way to keep Led Zep’s legacy alive. That is what’s releasing all those remasters are about. Those 10 Deluxe remasters.

Led Zep is just one of those bands that you either love or hate, I guess. I don’t care what people say. I will always stay loyal to Led Zep ’cause they were one of the bands that inspired me to pick up the guitar. I wouldn’t have been a musician if it weren’t for them. Led Zep means so much to me. I may like all kinds of music and all kinds of bands but Led Zep will always be my no. 1. I’m a true Led Zeppelin fan and soon I would like to start getting some Led Zep related tattoos. I would like to get the 4 Led Zeppelin Zoso symbols for my right forearm and I would like to get the Swan Song for my right shoulder. I really want to start getting tattoos one of these days, just gotta come up with the money for them.

I’m the most die-hard Led Zep fan you’ll ever see. I have all of their studio albums (except for “In Through The Outdoor” which is the only Led Zep album I never liked). I have all of their live albums. I have their live stuff on DVD/Bluray. I have read so much about them through various guitar magazines and biography books. I have also collected Jimmy Page’s projects outside of Led Zep too. I’m also trying to learn all their songs on guitar as well.

It’s interesting how people react to Led Zep either good or bad. I like bands like that. While I do respect the hell out of Robert Plant, JPJ and Bonham… its Jimmy’s guitar playing is what drew me into listening to the band. I’ll never stop being a fan. I don’t care what anyone else thinks.

Many music artists sign “open letter” in favor of gun control… hypocrites… ALL OF THEM!!!

I hate it when libtard celebrities and music artists join in on the fight for “gun control” bandwagon. A lot of music artists that you love wrote an open letter and many music artists signed it. Take a look at the list of artists that signed the letter, a lot of your favorites are probably on here: Alanis Morrissette, Barbara Streisand, Beck, Sting, Billy Joel, Bob Weir, Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, Eddie Vedder, Cher, Iggy Pop, Rivers Cuomo, Joan Jett, etc. The list keeps going.

Conan O’ Brien even signed it.

http://www.billboard.com/open-letter/

They’re all hypocrites, all of ’em ’cause I’m sure many of these artists have armed bodyguards everywhere they go and armed security at their concerts. Really fuck ’em.

I’m no fan of most of those people on there anyways except I’m still a fan of Billy Joel, Joan Jett and the Grateful Dead but I’ll still support them for their music… not their left-wing political views.

What about bands that rip off Led Zeppelin?

Everybody wants to get onto Led Zeppelin for ripping off other songs but what about other bands that rip off them? Plenty of other famous rock bands have stole riffs and ideas from Led Zeppelin but you never see other bands get in trouble for it.

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/12-artists-who-ripped-off-led-zeppelin-20160623?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=guitarworld&utm_campaign=partner

When other bands rip off Led Zep songs, how come you never see Led Zep accusing them of plagiarism? How come you never see Led Zep suing other bands for stealing riff ideas and trying to sound like them?

That’s because Zeppelin is better than that. They’re a pretty humble band. I’m sure they’re flattered that other musicians and bands were inspired by them. So if other bands want to borrow a riff from one of their songs, I’m sure Led Zep will welcome it. Led Zep is the most influential band of all time. Many musicians do what they do ’cause of them. That’s how I’ve become a musician myself ’cause I wanted to be like Jimmy Page. I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that a lot of my own guitar playing is Jimmy Page inspired.

Sometimes bands borrow stuff from other bands, sometimes it happens coincidentally.

It’s hard to make music that’s completely original these days ’cause everything has already been done.

Led Zep wins “Stairway” trial dismissal, jury ruled band didn’t steal opening riff…

Everybody wants to accuse Led Zeppelin of stealing songs and everyone wants to be “right” on Led Zep stealing “Stairway” from Spirit. Well, look like they’re wrong after all ’cause the mighty Zep just won the trial dismissal today.

Today is a great day for Led Zeppelin and their fans. Now they don’t have to add any additional credits and they don’t have to pay any money either. Which is good news. Now the band can leave this all behind them and they can use the song however they want to now.

Everybody wants to see Led Zep guilty of stealing songs but even if they did, who cares? All rock bands steal songs all the time. It’s pretty common in the music industry anyways. Get the fuck over it, sheesh.

Washington Post aka a liberal rag to send out 20 reporters to investigate Trump, wtf?

This is just even more reasons for me to hate the Washington Post. That online newspaper is so liberal biased, I always knew it. They’re planning on sending out 20 of their so-called journalists to investigate every aspect of Trump’s life.

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2016/05/13/washington-post-has-assembled-an-army-to-investigate-everything-trump-n2162082

So liberal rags like the Washington Post and the NYTimes wants to get all over Trump’s past.

Well, where were they when Barack Obama was running for president back in 2008? The liberal media did nothing to look into Barack’s life. They did look into Barack’s life; however, only certain parts of it. They media could have easily investigated every aspect of Barack’s life and leak it all to the news media but they never did that. Instead, each time Barack Obama got into trouble with his birth certificate and his past, the news media defended him.

People want to get all over Trump about transparency but nobody wants to talk about Barack’s transparency. Pretty insane.

Read this interesting blog post…

WHY CAN’T WE KNOW ABOUT BHO?

The only reason the media and the government protected Barack over his birth certificate is ’cause they wanted America to have its first black president and they succeeded. If the media was honest about Barack in 2008 then he wouldn’t have became president in the first place.
