Attention all readers: My site maybe shut down for 24 hours tomorrow…

Reading the news, there are quite a bit of websites that plan to go dark tomorrow to protest against, SOPA, and, PIPA. Wikipedia, twitpic, and google are all protesting them, and wordpress.com is one of those sites that is protesting. That means wordpress will be getting shut down for 24 hours, so my site will be going down for a while too. I’m going to try to blog as much as I can to keep you all entertained today before the shut down. The bills of SOPA and PIPA are being considered signed by the House of Representative, and they’re trying their best to stop that from happening.

I’m actually liking this protest, so it’s a good thing they’re doing. This bill is unconstitutional and it’s taking away our 1st amendment rights. When these bills are signed, that means there will be some harsh consequences if people are caught streaming illegal material online, and nobody should have to go through that.

If these bills are signed, that means all pirated music videos and movies from youtube will be taken off, and all that stuff.

I’m all for this fight. Facebook and twitter should go dark as well.

This post might be a little controversial but I just got to get this off of my chest. Casey Anthony might be getting a lot of hate against this video. Saying she got away with murder and all that stuff. I agree, she’s guilty as all hell, and I think she killed Caylee for sure, but you gotta admit that Casey is kinda sexy looking. Will she get a Playboy deal? Porn movie offers?

She seems like a pretty fit lady and looks like she has a great body. Has she been working out during her time in jail? She probably has been. That’s all you can do is workout in jail.

This video hit the net pretty hard, and she’s probably gonna do more vlog’s too. Like I said, I think she’s a baby killer but you can’t deny that she’s easy  on the eyes.

The Top Fifteen – Year In Review news…

This is another Best of 2011 that I do pretty much every year on this site. Considering this site is about entertainment news, this is a year in review kind of thing of which I thought was the most interesting or got the most attention in this blog site. Now that 2011 is completely over, I thought I would do this today.

I will do 15 of them, enjoy the read…

15. Lindsay Lohan poses for Playboy, Marilyn Monroe style – Playboy has been trying to get her for years, but Lindsay turned down all the offers until now. Even if she’s getting so much hate over this, people are still buying the magazine ’cause Hugh Hefner says the issue is breaking record sales. Like I said, people wouldn’t resist seeing Lindsay Lohan naked, just out of curiosity. I’ll admit that she’s kind of a hot lady whether she is airbrushed or not, she is still a cute looking woman, just admit it now.

14. Movie being made about the Gotti’s – Looking through my earlier blog posts through the 2011 year, this movie about the Gotti mobsters certainly got a lot of attention in this site, so I had to include this one. The film makers have been having a tough time trying to keep some cast and crew on the job ’cause a lot of people dropped out, including Joe Pesci, and who else, Lindsay Lohan. So far, the film stars, John Travolta, Ben Foster, and Al Pacino.

13. Amanda Knox gets murder conviction overturned and is now a free woman – The story of Meredith Kircher has been all over the web non stop. Amanda got herself a memoir deal confirmed earlier this year, so expect a book soon. Would I buy her book when it hits the shelves? I’m not sure yet. She got mixed opinions on this case. Some say she’s guilty and some say she’s innocent. I’d say she’s guilty as fuck.

12. Netflix raises the prices of subscriptions, angers customers – Before the price raise, Netflix was a very popular service. Pretty much everyone I knew had the service, which inspired me to get it. I subscribed to Netflix, a few months before they announced the price raise, I remember. Pretty much the whole internet was angry about it. People threatened to cancel their accounts and Netflix lost a lot of subscribers. They still have some support though and I’m one of those very few people who would gladly support Netflix still. Netflix rocks, fuck the haters, ya know?

11. Bill Murray all skeptical on “Ghostbusters 3” movie script – Just when are they ever going to get this damn movie made? They want Bill Murray to do it so he can reprise his role as Peter Venkman, but Bill claimed he has never read the script yet. We still haven’t heard from him. Does the script suck that bad? Is that why Bill won’t respond on whether he will do it or not? This story has got a lot of attention in this blog, so I had to include it.

10. The West Memphis Three released from prison – This story was pretty huge, so this had to be part of the top 10. Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley Jr., and Jason Baldwin were accused of murdering young boys, they were released from prison earlier this year as part of a Alford plea deal. These three got a lot of support by the music community. A lot of famous musicians supported them and said they were innocent. Music fans all over the web supported them as well. I watched the first “Paradise Lost”, movie about them and it was pretty interesting.

9. The Ultimate Warrior feuds with Hulk Hogan – This was a pretty real feud. It was no wrestling storyline for sure. The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan feuded throughout most of 2011. What the Warrior is upset at Hogan about is that Hulk Hogan has been attacking Warrior in interviews publicly. Hulk has used some of Warrior’s image and catchphrases in other things too. So Warrior made all these video blogs calling out Hulk Hogan that he should stop what he’s doing. Of course, typical Hulk plays the innocent victim and claims he’s doing nothing wrong like usual. This story got a lot of attention here as this was an entertaining feud so I couldn’t help myself.

8. Donald Trump feuds with President Barack Obama – The Donald announced he was going to run for President, so as an idea to get his campaign to get more attention, he decided to feud with Barack. Saying that he is the worst president of the U.S. and accused Barack of not being a U.S. citizen. So The Donald demanded Barack to release his long form birth certificate, so the Donald got his wish when the President released his certificate at the White House press conference. This was a pretty entertaining feud, the Donald is a good trash talker for sure.

7. New Superman/Batman movies moves forward – Warner Bros./DC is in a huge legal war against the Segel heirs over Superman copyrights. This is why Warner Bros. is rushing the new Superman movie because of the lawsuit. Warner Bros. hired Christopher Nolan to be “Superman’s” mentor, not director. So Chris Nolan and WB’s hired Zack Snyder to direct, “Man of Steel”. The reason Chris couldn’t direct the new Superman movie is because he was going to work on the new Batman flick, “The Dark Knight: Rises”. Both movies have been hard at work and looking good so far for both films.

6. Jared Lee Loughner goes on shooting rampage in Tucson, Arizona. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords survives shooting. – I couldn’t leave this one off of here. I’m glad to see Gabrielle Giffords doing better and doing okay. Lets hope that sick fuck, Loughner, gets what he deserves.

5. Steve Jobs dies – The Apple head honcho and inventor of many computers and gadgets. Macintosh, Ipod, Ipad, Iphone, etc. The man was a technology genius, love him or hate him. I guess you can consider that the Ipad I got for Christmas was in honor of Steve, RIP.

4. Lou Reed & Metallica collaborates – When Lou Reed & Metallica announced they were collaborating, they kept their project top secret for now. Everyone got excited at first ’cause we were thinking if they were going to get together to play their hit songs in the studio. It turns out the project wasn’t that. When they announced the album they were going to do is titled, “Lulu”, based on the German play by Frank Wedekind and they released a few samples off the album, the project sparked some controversy online. You either loved it or hated it. I thought it was kind of interesting how people reacted to this project. I do support the album, “Lulu” ’cause it is great.

3. Casey Anthony found not guilty of first degree murder – Yep, another one walks a murder a free woman. Poor little Caylee Anthony, is spinning in her grave while her killer is still out there.

2. Amy Winehouse dies – While the UK popstar’s death was expecting, I didn’t think it would happen this year. So her death was pretty shocking to me. Her death got mixed reactions. Some didn’t care ’cause of her drug problems, and her die hard fans mourned her death. She was quite a talent. I loved her music and it’s a shame she’s gone too soon. If she got her act together and got herself clean, if she survived, she would have had a big career ahead of her. Her music career was sadly very brief. Kind of like Jimi Hendrix’s career was very brief.

1. Charlie Sheen vs. Chuck Lorre feud – So Charlie Sheen gets fired from his sitcom, “Two and a Half Men” after talking trash about the show’s producer, Chuck Lorre, in interviews. After this, Charlie continued to feud with Lorre in interviews for radio and TV. Earlier this year, Charlie did a few live internet broadcasts shows called, “Charlie Korner’s” in which he filmed at in his home. In 2011, Charlie became the most talked about actor on the internet. He was everywhere. Facebook, twitter, etc. It was basically his “Winning” catchphrase, that gave him all this attention. Even though Charlie is pretty calm and easy going today, I wish he would get back into the insane Charlie ’cause I’ll admit that insane Charlie was pretty entertaining.

Should the word “retarded’ be used???

You hear that word, “retarded” everywhere. Mostly people use that word as a different word to call people, “stupid”. People use the word, “retarded” in many other ways. The word “retarded”, is especially most used all over the internet.

This is a well written blog post, explaining why the word being used is wrong. People need to be careful and watch their mouth when they use the word retarded.

I’ve been called a retarded person by some people a lot of times. Not because they call me that word for being stupid, people actually think of me as a mentally handicapped person and I’ve been accused of going to special ed school which none of it’s true. I may have some imperfections, but that doesn’t make me a retarded person.

I personally can’t stand it when people use that word, myself. People use it ’cause they want to feel tough in front of their friends. They like the attention when they use that word. When people use that word, they get a mixed reaction, some will get offended and some will think it’s alright. That’s the kind of attention they get when they use that word. I see that word being used in facebook status’s and comments everyday. People think they’re cool when they use it, that’s the only reason they use it.

If people used that word in front of my face, they would certainly get a punch in the mouth.

Not a Cool Video: Brock calls Jonah’s “What’s Going On” video a fake and this kid needs to quit being such an attention whore…

This video have been going around the web, such as Facebook and it’s becoming an internet sensation. This kid named, Jonah made this video, about revealing to the world that he’s suicidal because of cyberbullying, and it’s making him depresssed and all. He makes this video holding up notes written on a marker, making this sad face, with slow piano music playing.

This video has been going around facebook and people are like, “Aaawww, poor kid, I feel sorry for him”, blah blah blah, you get the deal.

The thing that pisses me off about the internet is when people go online publicly expressing their personal problems. They just want to do that, so their supporters would feel sorry for them, an attention seeking kind of thing.

I am against cyberbullying yes, but you got to take it like a man and be a grown up about it. Ignore it all, and rise above hate. Be strong, and stand tall. I call this video fake and acting, and people are taking it seriously. Do you think it could be some random kid wanting to get some publicity online? You have to be that sensitive if you’re going to get suicidal over cyberbullying, this kid seems like a better person than that. If he was really depressed over this, then he wouldn’t have made that video.

That was some great acting, kid. Next thing you know, he’s going to get a reality show out of this. Just wait. This post might be a bit controversial, but I don’t care, I just had to get my thoughts on this, since this video is spreading everywhere and I had to be real about it.

I don’t need to feel sorry for him. Take his personal problems somewhere else ’cause it doesn’t concern me, since I don’t know him well.

15 Things That White Guys Love to Do On Facebook…

There is this blogger in wordpress that came up with this interesting post in which she titled it, “15 Things That Girls Love to Do On Facebook“. That post is becoming a bit of an internet sensation as it’s becoming pretty popular. Well, I think I’m going to challenge that blogger and try to compete with her a bit, by listing 15 things that white guys like to do in facebook.

Here’s what I can come up with:

  1. They love to talk about politics – This is the most  popular thing that goes on with guys in facebook. There are political discussions all over. I try not to get into politics discussion as much as I used to, I think I’m finally starting to get bored of it.
  2. They love to talk about the sports they’re watching on TV – Whether it’s NFL football, baseball or UFC, they would put up status’s announcing what they’re watching and rooting who they’re going to win. They also like to make fun of sport athletes who sucks and all that stuff.
  3. They take shirtless pics of themselves and throw it on facebook – I’m kind of guilty on this one, I’ll admit it. I need feedback on my progress photos, that’s why I do it.
  4. They put up status’s full of profanity, ranting about how they’re having a bad day – I see this everyday.
  5. They love to give women positive feedback on their sexy photos – When women post up photos showing their cleavages or if they’re in a bikini, the guys would be all over it. Nothing wrong with that, ’cause I do it too.
  6. They love to express their love publicly to their significant others – To the guys that have wives or girlfriends, I see this everyday. Men putting up romantic status’s aimed at their partners. Seeing all that is making me wish, I have a girlfriend.
  7. They post up drunk status’s during or after a party, or even worse, they post up photos of them holding up a beer – You see this on a regular basis as well. Just wait until the New Year’s Eve comes.
  8. They love to post Youtube videos of their favorite songs – Guys like music. Rock & metal is the most popular genre being posted by them though. Sometimes I’ll see them post rap and other genres.
  9. They love to joke around with their friends – A lot of them like to make fun of each other just for laughs, it gets the women going.
  10. When women get a divorce or go single after a relationship, the guys will start hitting on her – You see this all the time in facebook as well. I believe when guys try to become friends with a woman who is already in a relationship or married, that means they have a secret crush on her, so they wait for her to go single. Usually when the women go single after a relationship, it’ll get the guys talking.
  11. They love to bash famous musicians & celebrities they hate – Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Nickelback, Justin Bieber, Jersey Shore cast, etc. You get the deal here.
  12. They love to talk about going to the gym – Before they hit the gym, they put up stuff, like “Going to the gym”. They know they have no reason to post that stuff up there, they do it ’cause they love the attention around people being proud of them. I’m guilty of this myself.
  13. They love to talk about everything they do in their lives – Whatever they’re doing throughout the day, they’ll post everything they’re doing. Whether they’re going shopping, partying or just for a ride, they’ll put it up there.
  14. They rant about how terrible women are in relationships or complain they don’t have a girlfriend yet – You see this with single guys pretty often.
  15. They complain how they have insomnia and can’t sleep – What’s with all the “can’t sleep” posts lately? I sleep every night, so I certainly don’t have insomnia, lol.

I hope I covered everything, feel free to add to the list if you come up with anything.

RANT: Metallica had every right to do what they did with Napster…

Whenever Metallica is brought up in a music discussion forum like facebook, blogs, message boards, etc. Metallica’s controversy with Napster years back is always brought up. Whenever I bring up a topic about Metallica in my facebook account, at least 1 person will bring up the Napster thing there too. Apparently, people have never gotten over Metallica who sued Napster in 2000.

Napster used to be a free downloading music software site. I used to use it myself before the software became payable. Do I blame Metallica for this that downloading music online isn’t free anymore? No. I don’t blame Metallica at all. Who is the real person that should be blamed on? Just blame the thief who stole their song “I Disappear” and leaked it on Napster before the single’s release date. He is the real bad guy there.

That is why Metallica was angry at Napster, because somebody leaked the “I Disappear” song to Napster early which is a song off the, “Mission Impossible II” soundtrack. They were angry about the file sharing on Napster, not because people were downloading the music.

I respect Metallica for what they did to Napster. It’s their music. They were just trying to protect their work. That’s what it was all about. I’ve explained it plenty of times in the past before, if you’re a band and if your music is copyrighted, you have complete control of it. You have the right to choose if you want other people using your music. If other people use your music without your permission, that gives you the right to sue.

Will you feel good about it if some idiot thief steals your music and leaks it to the internet before release date? No. That would piss you right off, I’m sure. That’s how Metallica felt. It was all about respecting the copyright and their work.

People think they can use other band’s music for free, all they want to, but bands work hard for what they do so deserve to get paid for their music. Don’t be a pirate. Support the artist and the industry by buying it. There are still a lot of pirates out there steal a lot of music, but I’d rather not do that. I like putting my money toward the artists that I like. I don’t mind buying the CD or downloading the music digitally.

I like to respect the artist and their copyright. You should too. That’s why Napster turned into a payable site, because it was you that was stealing and sharing stuff. It’s not the band’s fault at all. All they want to do is make music and release it for your listening pleasure. You’re just disrespecting the band by disrespecting their copyright. End of story.

Report: LOL, Sesame Street youtube channel, hacked with porn…

Yesterday, the Sesame Street youtube channel was briefly hacked with adult porn videos showing up on their page.

This is not going to be the end for them who ever did it. Next they’ll hit the Disney youtube channel or maybe Nikelodeon. They’ll hit any youtube channel that is aimed at the children audience.

To the people behind this, why would they want to do something like this? Offend children and parents with adult porn? I think there’s more of a reason to that.

While porn is obviously banned in youtube, maybe this is their way of bringing it to their attention that porn should be allowed in youtube. Should youtube have an adult section?

Porn should be kept out of youtube. It is banned in youtube for good reasons. If porn was allowed in youtube, then people would be uploading all kinds of crazy things. They also want to keep illegal porn material off the site. I think that’s the main reason why porn is banned in youtube.

New Facebook design thoughts…

Seems like facebook changes the site around like once a year, and they seem to be doing it around this time. Adding a few new features like putting the “Recent stories”, being at the top of the news feed. Plus, when other people “like”, “comment” and “friend” other people instead of that stuff being in the news feed, they put it in a box in the upper right hand corner. Plus, when the fan pages that you “like” when they make a new status, you can also see it in that new box. Which is better that way , in my opinion.

Of course, most people are mad at this design. People are whining, complaining, and bitching about it like usual when Facebook make new changes. Why do people complain? I’m not sure. Maybe it’s like, “haters are gonna hate”. They just complain for the attention of themselves, so they can feel part of their crowd with their friends. Another reason, people are not used to the new look. Well, they’re gonna have to get used to it.

I find this new design useful and helpful. I have no problem with it at all. If you don’t like it, then why are people still on facebook? It’s not hard to delete your account and stay off the site, if you don’t like how they do things.

Aren’t there better things to complain about in life? It’s only facebook. It’s called technology. They all look to improve, change and get better.

People in facebook are assholes today. They’ve been complaining about the new design. They make some of the harshest rants I’ve ever seen complaining about the site. Like I said if you don’t like the new Facebook design, get the fuck off the site. Mark Zuckerberg can’t please everybody.

Report: Reed Hastings speaks out on price raise of Netflix, also unveils Qwikster…

Reed Hastings, the head honcho of “Netflix” finally speaks out about the backlash of the price raise. He says the reason they did this because they are starting to realize that streaming and DVD are both becoming two different businesses. They needed to let both grow and market differently & separately. They feel the businesses need to evolve and improve.

He also unveils the Netflix DVD rental section will be re-named to, “Qwikster”. It will be the same site, you can still select all of your DVD’s and put ’em in your que’s, but different site name.

Reed also announced the surprising news, that Netflix will have a video game section in there. Soon you will be able to rent games from PS3, Xbox360, and Nintendo Wii which will be really cool.

No matter what people think of Netflix’s decision, I’m still sticking with them. Yep, both streaming and DVD. The price raise is not that big of a deal. They are a business, they need to do what they need to do. Businesses change, shit happens. Have any of you out there ever owned a business? Yes, I’m sure you’ve had. All businesses want to change and evolve, the same with Netflix.

People need to relax over this.

I’m sticking with Netflix because there are a lot of TV shows on there I want to see that I have never seen before and that’s one of the reasons I joined Netflix to begin with. Plus, I like to watch movies on there too, of course. I joined their DVD rentals for the new releases.

I don’t really watch regular cable TV too much, but I’ll watch a lot of Netflix at night. The show I’m currently watching now is Kiefer Sutherland’s “24”. When I finish this show, I’m thinking of either checking out “Heroes” or “Sons of Anarchy”, not sure yet. Netflix is great, screw the haters.
