All those black movie stars boycotting the Oscars are just mad that their work wasn’t nominated for anything… period???

So a bunch of black movie stars and black celebrities are boycotting the Oscars ’cause of lack of diversity. Now, Lupita Nyongo has jumped on the boycotting bandwagon. Will the Oscars host, Chris Rock back out of hosting? I wouldn’t be surprised if he decided to do it. The reason the black movie stars and black film makers are mad at the Oscar is not ’cause of “lack of diversity”. That’s not what they’re mad about at all. They’re just jealous that their work hasn’t been nominated for anything. Like usual if things don’t go the black community’s way, everyone is racist.

Maybe it’s because their work wasn’t good enough to get an Oscar nod? Ever thought of that? Like I said in a post before, the Academy has always been about “talent” regardless of skin color. They look for talented people.

On top of that, the “Straight Outta Compton” movie got nominated for Best Screenplay, that should have been good enough for them but unfortunately not.

The black community needs to realize that life isn’t always fair. I also totally agree with Stacey Dash that we should get rid of the “BET Awards” and “Black History Month”.

I respect black people totally… I love ’em but they just need to learn that the world doesn’t revolve around them, ya know? Calling everyone and everything racist is getting old and tiresome. Can’t people come up with anything new? I’m tired of all this divisive crap. When will it end?

Hey race baiters, the Oscars is about talent regardless of skin color… get over yourselves!!!

The movie “12 Years a Slave” won Best Picture at the Oscars in 2014 but that should have made the race baiters happy but of course, that’s not enough for them. The staff at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences knows exactly what they’re doing. They know what is award worthy and what isn’t. They’ve always been about the talent. Regardless of skin color or race.

Does Michael B. Jordan deserve a nomination for “Creed”? No. He was good but his performance certainly wasn’t Oscar worthy.

Does Will Smith deserve a nomination for “Concussion”? I haven’t seen the movie but from what I’ve saw in the trailers so far… no.

Does Idris Elba deserve a nomination for “Beasts of No Nation”? It was a good performance and I saw the movie on Netflix but not Oscar worthy.

What about Jason Mitchell’s role as Eazy E for “Straight Outta Compton”? Well… I’ll have to agree that he deserves a nomination ’cause his performance in that film was Oscar worthy. Not sure why he got the snub. The film itself is not worthy for Best Picture, though but Jason’s performance as Eazy E should have gotten nominated.

From what I’ve seen in 2015 there weren’t that many movies with black actors in them released that year so it’s not the Academy’s fault for lack of diversity. They know what they’re doing. They’re professionals.

It’s just a lousy excuse for race baiters to divide the country even more… that’s why they go after the Oscars every year. Black people needs to learn that the world doesn’t revolve around them. They need to get over themselves. This country calling everyone and everything “racist” has gone too far. I’m fed up with it.

Leonardo Dicaprio surprisingly never won an Oscar before but I think he’ll get it this time…

Leonardo Dicaprio never won an Oscar before. It may seem like he has already won one but he never did if you do a little digging. He’s been nominated 4 times at the Oscars over the years in his career but he never won any of them. I think he’ll definitely get his first Oscar this year, though (sorry Matt Damon). “The Revenant” was indeed Leo’s best role in his career. In the past, I used to think Leo Dicaprio was an overrated actor. There were only like a few other roles that I liked him in. Other roles that I thought Leo was really good in were “Gangs of New York”, “The Departed”, “Shutter Island”, “Inception”, “Wolf of Wall Street” and “Django Unchained” but other than that, Leo’s best performance was in “The Revenant”.

Like most people I never liked “Titanic” as I thought it was an overrated as hell movie. “Gilbert Grape” is overrated as well. He’s starred in too many overrated films and that includes, “J. Edgar” which I never liked (and it wasn’t because of the gay stuff in the movie, it just wasn’t good).

Leo is a talented actor, I guess. He always has been. I think he deserves his first Oscar which is long overdue and he’ll absolutely get it with “The Revenant” ’cause once again, I thought it was his best role in his career. “The Revenant” will probably sweep everything at the Oscars. I prefer “The Revenant” to be the big winner over “Mad Max: Fury ROad”.

If you haven’t seen “The Revenant” yet, you gotta see it for yourself and you would see how amazing Leo’s performance really was. He’ll blow your mind in this movie. I’m definitely buying “The Revenant” when it comes out on BluRay, hell yes!

Congratulations once again, Sly!

Back in 1977 Sly was nominated for Best Actor as Rocky and was nominated for Best Screenplay but he didn’t win either. I think he’ll definitely win the Oscars this time, ha ha.

How come Sly stayed away from the Oscars for over 30 years?

Well, as you all know Sly is mostly known as an action star. He was never really known for playing in serious roles like Rocky. Plus, there was a time that Sly was struggling in his career. I think it was around the late 90’s and early ’00’s that Sly was struggling… ya know, making a bunch of box office failures and a few straight to video movies. Well now he’s no longer struggling and he’s a successful actor again.

A lot of people had a hard time understanding him over the years and trying to debate on whether or not he had acting talent. Probably because he made so many mistakes choosing the wrong movies over the years. Well, these days, I think he’s finally learned from his mistakes and picking the right movies. So now he’s making box office hits again and he’s finally becoming an award winning actor for playing Rocky. Him playing Rocky is where he shows his real acting talent.

One thing to keep in mind though… Rocky wasn’t the only role where he really showed his acting chops. He showed his acting talent in movies like “Cop Land” where he played Freddy Heflin. That was a great performance too. He was also really good in “Shade” when he played “The Dean”… that was a straight to video movie but he still played a great role in that one. I thought he was also good in “Get Carter”.

His fans just wants to see him get successful and get recognized for his talent. He’s finally getting there too. His fans just wants people to respect the man. Stop the hating and criticizing. Just because Sly made a bunch of box office failures over the years doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a terrible actor. I always knew that man has got some talent in him. You really need to see “Creed” yourself in order to see what I mean.

I don’t think the Oscar for “Best Picture” is gonna go to “Mad Max: Fury Road” after all…

I’m actually pretty happy with the winner results of last night’s “Golden Globes”. It seems that the awards went with the right people. I’m so glad “Mad Max: Fury Road” didn’t get the big win for “Best Motion Picture – Drama” last night. Instead that winner went to “The Revenant”. I have not seen “The Revenant” yet but will when it’s available for rental.

Here are the results of last night’s Golden Globes:

Winners & Nominees

I hate award shows but I watch the Globes and the Oscars to see what movies and stuff are gonna win awards since I’m a huge movie buff and all.

So it’s looking like that “Mad Max: Fury Road” isn’t gonna win Best Picture at all at the Oscars. It’s looking like either “The Revenant” or “The Martian” will get the Best Picture win at the Oscars, I’ll bet your money on it. It’s most likely that “The Revenant” is going to win big.

Anyway, I’m glad Sly won for “Creed” and glad that Matt Damon won for “The Martian” ’cause they were both great performances. Matt is probably gonna get another Oscar too for that “Martian” role. I saw “The Martian” in theater myself so I knew that was a great performance. Matt Damon already is an Oscar winner for his screenplay of the film “Good Will Hunting”, he’ll get another Oscar nod for “The Martian” for sure.

I don’t care for award shows anymore but I just want to see Sly get his recognition for his acting talent which he totally deserves finally. I’m really am happy and proud for Sly as I’m sure the rest of his fans are too.

Will the Oscars this year be a repeat of “#OscarsSoWhite” backlash??? I’d say yes!!!

You know very well that Idris Elba is gonna get snubbed for “Beasts of No Nation” and Michael B. Jordan will probably get snubbed for “Creed”. That way Al Sharpton, Obama and the media can call the Oscars racist. You can very well believe it’ll be the same thing this year. Since Chris Rock is hosting, he’s gonna make all kinds of jokes about it for sure.

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/envelope/la-et-mn-oscars-so-white-again-20160103-story.html

It’ll be the same old shit. Continuing to keep the country divided is what’s going on.

Finally, a good host for the Oscars for once! Chris Rock will host the next one!

Neil Patrick Harris hosting the Oscars last year was horrible. I’m glad they’re not having him back. Chris Rock would be a much better host ’cause I like Chris Rock. He has always been a funny as hell guy. Chris Rock would be more entertaining to watch. Chris Rock hosted the Oscars once before way back in 2005 when “Million Dollar Baby’ won Best Picture.

It’ll be interesting to see what the nominations will be for the next Oscars.

Could “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” actually get a nod for “Best Picture”? I’d doubt it but ya never know.

Vin Diesel trying to urge the Oscars to give action movies and sequels a chance???

It’s no secret that the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences are not a big fan of action movies and sequels. It loos like Vin Diesel is trying to urge the Academy to give action films and sequels a chance. It’s very rare that the Academy gives action movies and sequels a chance. They do give action movies and sequels a chance but not very often. The first sequel to win Best Picture at the Oscars was “The Godfather part II” and that was a violent film too. Another sequel that won Best Picture was “Lord of the Rings: Return of the King” and that film had some action & violence as well. Another violent and dark film that won Best Picture was “Silence of the Lambs”. “Silence of the Lambs” wasn’t a sequel or an action film but still, it’s a horror and crime film and the Academy aren’t a big fan of those kind of films either.

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2015/03/27/vin-diesel-furious-7-deserves-oscar-but-academy-doesnt-like-action-flicks/

I appreciate Vin Diesel for urging the Academy to have a change of direction but they never will. I do agree that action movies and violent films deserve a chance. Does “Fast 7” deserve a Best Picture win as Vin Diesel claims? I’ll have to see the film for myself which comes out next Friday and I do plan on seeing it. I love the “Fast and Furious” movies. They are fun flicks and entertaining as hell. I saw “Fast 6” in theater and was pretty impressed with the film.

“Fast 7” does deserve some type of Oscar nod ’cause it would be a great way to honor Paul Walker. I remember when Paul Walker’s tragic death was announced, he got so much hate and disrespect by movie fans and I can’t understand why. Yet they mourned for people such as Philip Seymour Hoffman instead. I think people shitted on Paul Walker ’cause thought he was a bad actor, period. Just because he wasn’t the greatest actor didn’t mean he had to get all of this hate. All actors and actresses deserve respect when they pass on ’cause they were all human like us. Shouldn’t matter whether you like them or not. The Fast and Furious crew really loved the guy!

I appreciate Vin Diesel on trying to change the direction of the Oscars but it will never work. There are really good action movies out there that deserve awards and accolades.

Just realized something, “Birdman” IS the first live-action superhero film to win big at the Oscars…

Why are so many superhero fanatics so upset that a live-action superhero film can’t win Best Picture at the Oscars when a live-action superhero film just won big last night? That’s the movie “Birdman” which is a film about a superhero. “Birdman” may not be DC or Marvel but it’s still a superhero film. “Birdman” and “Big Hero 6” are proof that a comic book superhero film can make the Oscars in the future.

Could movies like “Batman vs. Superman”, “Justice League”, “Spiderman”, “Guardians of the Galaxy” and all that stuff make the Oscars for a “Best Picture” nomination in the future? Who knows. It’s just that the fact that “Birdman” and “Big Hero 6” were superhero films that made the Oscars opens the doors for more superhero films in the future.

That’s why I said that I’m glad that “Birdman” got the win despite “American Sniper” getting ignored ’cause “Birdman” winning is better than “Boyhood” and “Selma” winning, ya know what I mean? “Birdman” winning “Best Picture” was actually a good idea and probably well-deserved even if I haven’t seen the film yet but planning to.

Finally superhero flicks are getting the recognition at the Oscars. I wanted to see “Birdman” in the theaters but the film was only playing in selected theaters and didn’t get around to it so I’ll just wait for DVD rental.

People wanted superhero flicks to get nods at the Oscars and they got that last night, people are still complaining. Haters are gonna hate, I guess.

Review of the Oscars last night…

Yes, I did watch the Oscars last night. As usual, it turned out disappointing like they usually have been for the last several years. I was enjoying Neil Patrick Harris as host up until the point where he stripped down to his underwear and walked out on the stage half naked. I mean, did we really need to see that??? This isn’t “Magic Mike”. This is the Oscars. A family friendly event for national TV. I guess N.P.H. was desperate for attention and he got it. Sure, he is fit and in shape but he didn’t need to show that to the whole world. I’m sure all the gay men out there loved it, though. Whenever women show themselves half naked on award shows, they get into so much trouble for it by the media but I’m sure N.P.H. will get no flak for what he did. He’s a guy and he’s gay so that’s exactly how he’s gonna get away with it.

The awards given was disappointing like usual; however, I’m happy that “Ida” won for “Best Foreign Film”… that really was a good movie. I’m also happy that “Big Hero 6” won for “Best Animated Film”, that means Marvel just won their first Oscar and the Academy has never been too friendly with superhero films. It maybe an animated film but maybe a live-action superhero film winning an Oscar can be possible now.

My prediction of Patricia Arquette winning for “Best Supporting Actress” was exactly right as I figure she was gonna get it but her acceptance speech was a joke. Typical liberal, Hollywood. Nothing new. She promoted, “equal pay for women” and I’m like, what? She’s rich. A millionaire so why would she bring that up? Of course, when she said that, all the celebrity women in the audience went nuts. Meryl Streep’s reaction to Patricia’s speech was hilarious. These are all rich as hell women and they want “equal pay for women”? Doesn’t make a bit of sense of me.

Anyway, most of last night’s Oscars had “liberal” written all over it ’cause that’s what it is. Liberal Hollywood.

It was predictable that Bradley Cooper was gonna lose and “American Sniper” was gonna lose for “Best Picture” so American Sniper ended up winning one award which is for “Best Sound Editing”. They only did that just to give the film, “something”, ya know? “American Sniper” should have won everything but of course, the film couldn’t win the big awards ’cause I’m sure the Academy didn’t want to honor a “racist” film and they didn’t want to upset the liberals.

That is also the reason why “Selma” won for “Best Original Song” instead of “Everything Is Awesome” the Lego Song which I’m sure everyone was expecting to win. They just gave “Selma” best original song ’cause they knew they weren’t gonna win for “Best Picture” and they had to give “Selma” something as a way to keep Al Sharpton happy. If no blacks won anything, you can very well believe that Al Sharpton and his race baiting buddies would whine and cry about “diversity”. They just did that to save themselves from a media backlash.

As for “Birdman” winning for “Best Picture”, I’m probably one of the very few who haven’t seen that film yet but I’m glad that film won “Best Picture” though. “Birdman” winning the big night is better than “Boyhood” or “Selma” winning so I’ll take it. I do wanna see “Birdman”, it does look like an interesting movie and will see it when it’s available for DVD rental. It’s also a real shame that Michael Keaton lost to Best Actor too.

Last night’s Oscars was okay but could have been better. If you didn’t watch last night’s show, here are the winners:
