Thoughts on the current local music scene…

I know I have been pretty silent on local music for a long while and there is a pretty good reason for that. The reason for that is, I don’t care anymore. Yep, that’s right… I said it. Don’t really care about local music as much anymore as much as I used to. Venues just come and go. There are no places to play anymore which could explain why I haven’t been gigging. Sure, there are plenty of bars to play at but I’m not a big fan of playing the same shithole places, ya know? Also, the way this area promotes local music bothers me as well. This area claims to be supportive of all “local music” when that’s a lie. This area have always been pretty selective on who they support. On top of that, I don’t go out to see other local talent too much other than going to see EBJ once in a while, that’s about it. We don’t have much of a music scene at all, to be honest with ya. All the politics, negativity, and drama in the scene haven’t changed too much either.

I’m never giving up performing live. I’m never giving up my music. However, from this point on, I figure I’m going to do my own thing musically as I have been most focused on my own thing. I’m not gonna care about anything else but my own music. I’ve had that attitude for a long while now and it works.

I try my best to get recognized and get noticed like most musicians and will always try to but if this area wants to ignore my music, I’m fine with that. I don’t strive for success, fame, and popularity like so many bands/musicians are obsessed with these days. I strive for the love of music, that’s what I strive for. It’s part of why you don’t see me moving on to bigger things with my music ’cause I never cared to get big with my music. I see music as a hobby and a way of life for me. I don’t have delusions of grandeur like so many do. So I will do music for myself from now on. I’ll just make music for the internet exclusively.

I still have the internet album and the live stream show planned. Will continue to get my youtube channel going too. I have plans on just being an internet musician for now. I still would like to play a live show at a venue sometime if the opportunity will ever come up.

We always had a crap music scene. It never changed.

I think everyone in America is putting Lindsey Graham’s comments on Ukraine out of context, everybody needs to relax and chill…

I think I can comprehend what Sen. Lindsey Graham is saying better than anyone else can. Lindsey wasn’t really blaming Russia’s invasion in Ukraine on Benghazi, Egypt, Syria, etc. Lindsey could have worded things better since he has bad English and all but the man brought up some valid points. What he’s saying is that he’s just simply making a good point that Obama’s weakness is making terrible things happen. Things like not doing anything with Benghazi and no one being held accountable for it. Obama aiding terrorists in Egypt. Obama’s red line in Syria. After all that stuff is making Obama a weak leader and it’s making Vladimir Putin a lot tougher. Lindsey just thinks Russia’s Crimean takeover was inspired by Obama’s weakness.

How can I put this to make it easier to understand kind of like a weak student getting picked on by a bully. Student is weak, bullying gets tougher and more aggressive. Worse things will come out of it.

That’s the point that Sen. Graham is making.

That’s what I don’t understand in politics when republican politicians want to publicly speak their mind and be honest about stuff… people will pretty hateful about it, ya know? The American people will resort to name calling at US politicians by saying stuff like: “This guy is a moron”, “He’s insane”, etc. blah blah blah… you get the deal. You guys think I’m pretty hateful against President Obama well a lot of people’s hate can be worse than mine when they hate other politicians. People say nasty things about Sarah Palin and Ted Nugent everyday, they never get in trouble for it and think it’s okay.  So it’s wrong to hate democrat/liberal politicians and it’s okay to hate republicans/conservatives??? Hypocrisy. Gotta love it.

Back to Sen. Graham, his point, “The worst is yet to come”… he’s right about that too. Obama’s weakness in leadership will bring out the worse. Possibly more wars, violence, crime. Sen. Graham is right on the money.

He continues to bring up Benghazi ’cause he’s just like everybody else… he cares and wants answers of the Benghazi attacks just like us. He brought Benghazi into this ’cause it’s his way of bringing Benghazi to everyone’s attention and it shouldn’t be forgotten.

I’m absolutely on Sen. Graham’s side. If that bothers you, I don’t care.

Warner Bros. finally reveals “Batman: Arkham Knight” trailer…

I played the first two Batman games: “Arkham Asylum” and “Arkham City”… both were great. I’m looking forward to this one too. This is the third Batman game by rocksteady, “Arkham Knight” which continues the trilogy. There is another Batman game called, “Batman: Arkham Origins” (which I have and haven’t started playing it yet) but that game isn’t by rocksteady studios.

I’m a big Batman fan and love these video games so I’ll be looking forward to this one.

15 Artists/bands who are deserving an induction into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”…

We talk about legendary bands like Rush and Kiss finally making it into the Hall of Fame after years of being ignored. Well, there are still a handful of other bands/artists that have been getting ignored by the Hall of Fame too. I might of done this list before a long time ago but it doesn’t hurt to do it again.

Here are 10 big artists/bands that keep getting snubbed in the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” yearly:

Check out the inductee list, here… enjoy…

  • Stevie Ray Vaughn – Isn’t it amazing that a legendary blues rock guitarist like SRV is still getting ignored by the Hall of Fame??? This is not a true Hall of Fame if you do not include SRV. This guy had a legendary career.
  • Ozzy Osbourne (solo) – Black Sabbath is already in the Hall of Fame but Ozzy’s solo career isn’t yet. Ozzy’s solo career is worthy of an induction, absolutely.
  • Deep Purple – When will Deep Purple ever get their time? They keep getting nominated every year but they keep getting snubbed of an induction. Their time is coming.
  • Iron Maiden – Maiden totally deserves an induction. The Hall of Fame have been strict on inducting metal bands but they are slowly getting there since they inducted Black Sabbath, Metallica, etc. Maybe Maiden will get their time too. I love Iron Maiden!
  • Megadeth – No matter what you think of Dave Mustaine and Megadeth they had a legendary career. They are still going too. They accomplished so much in the music industry. Megadeth totally deserves it!
  • Ted Nugent – You can hate his right-wing politics all you want to but it can’t be denied that this man is a rock n’ roll legend! Come on Hall of Fame! Give him his time already! He’s got more great songs than “Cat Scratch Fever” and “Stranglehold”. This man is a rock n’ roll genius!
  • YES – It’s incredible that this progressive rock band isn’t even in the Hall of Fame yet. They are famous for their “Roundabout” song.
  • Jethro Tull – I love Jethro Tull! Ian Anderson and the guys totally deserve it!
  • Motorhead – Another band that I can’t understand why they are not in the Hall of Fame yet. Lemmy rules. \m/
  • “Weird Al” Yankovic – Love Weird Al or hate him, he had a huge hand in helping to keep rock n’ roll alive. A lot of the rock artists he parodies didn’t even know they were famous until Weird Al came around. He parodied songs from every rock n’ roll band you can think of. Al Yankovic totally deserves it!
  • Billy Idol – How come this legendary rocker, Billy Idol not in the Hall of Fame yet? This guy had so many hit songs: “White Wedding”, “Rebel Yell”, “Mony Mony”, “Dancing With Myself”, etc. I fuckin’ love Billy Idol, give him his time already!!!
  • Dire Straits – They were the ones who helped MTV the music video station become huge in the 80’s with their hit song, “Money For Nothing”. I think that alone is worthy of an induction.
  • Joe Satriani: Believe it or not, the Satch is eligible for a Hall of Fame induction and he’s totally worthy.
  • Twisted Sister – Dee Snider’s Twisted Sister was a big deal for MTV back in the 80’s.
  • Pat Benatar – Why isn’t this “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “Love Is a Battlefield” singer in the Hall of Fame yet? She also influenced rock n’ roll in a great way. She’s totally deserving!

Future rock n’ roll hall of famers (bands/artists who are not yet eligible for 25 years): Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, Oasis, Radiohead, the Foo Fighters, Weezer

Film Review: “Robocop” (2014)

Starring: Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earle Haley

Directed by: Jose Padilha

Today, I decided to go hit the movie theaters for something to do and I finally gotten around to checking out the new “Robocop” film… here is my review:

Plot/synopsis: In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop – is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.

I wanted to see this film ’cause like most movie fans, I am a huge fan of the original 1987 “Robocop” film directed by Paul Verhoeven. The original film is an important classic and it’s a film I will always love.

I was pretty surprised of the new “Robocop” film that came out this year. The film got mixed reviews and I couldn’t understand why. The film had a “plot” and a good one. I thought the film was well-written and the story explained the whole man-in-machine plot pretty well. This movie explained so much that the original film didn’t. In this film, Robocop had a little more personality and he was more human than the Peter Weller version. Don’t get me wrong, this film will never top the original but I appreciated the new film for what it was.

The casting was pretty strong in this movie and was well-acted by everyone. It was amazing to see Gary Oldman and Michael Keaton play in the same movie together. Both actors have one thing in common. What are they? Both of them starred in Batman films. Sam L. Jackson and Jackie Earle Haley were great too. It’s nice to finally see a movie with Jackie Earle Haley in it in which he’s not wearing make up or costumes.

I thought the visuals and special effects in this movie was pretty impressive. The action scenes and violence was a blast to watch too. I’m also happy that they kept the original “Robocop” theme that opened the movie, that was awesome! While this film isn’t a straight-up remake from the original, there are still going to be a lot of similarities from the original, though. The story was original and something different.

I thought the star who played Robocop, Joel Kinnaman made a great Robocop. He looked a lot like Peter Weller’s Robocop.

With all that being said, I thought this was a badass movie. I liked it a lot. This is the kind of film that doesn’t deserve the negative criticism. I didn’t find anything wrong with it. You should definitely check this film out yourself if you’re a Robocop fan. It’s recommended for new fans too.

Two thumbs up.

It’s funny how some think Obama isn’t capable of murder…

It’s great that Americans see President Obama as a horrible president but some still don’t see him being capable of murdering people in cold blood. A lot of people see him as a harmless and innocent guy who isn’t capable of committing horrible things. The reason people think he is harmless and innocent ’cause that’s how he appears. He looks like the kind of guy who wouldn’t do these kind of things. Barack looks like a normal person and he appears to be a nice guy. That’s why some people think he wouldn’t be capable of doing these kind of things and he has a family and all. A lot of people mistakenly view President Obama as a just a guy doing his job as president.

It’s kind of the same way with a serial killer. You know how a serial killer appears to be nice, innocent, and harmless but in reality he’s secretly killing people? Kind of like Dexter, that TV show. He appears to be a good person but he has a dark secret killing people. That’s President Obama, folks. A killer has two different personalities… one bad side and the other the good side. They use their good side to cover up their murderer lifestyle, if you know what I mean? That’s what a lot of serial killers do in real life.

When Obama is accused of killing people in cold-blood, a lot of people will respond, laugh at me and call it conspiracy theory. If they want to call it conspiracy theory, that’s their prerogative. In my eyes, I see Obama being a cold-blooded killer the real thing.

Some may wonder why I don’t concentrate on the stuff reported in the news like Obamacare, Obama’s bad policies, etc. The real stuff that I don’t talk about much. It’s because everybody already knows that stuff.

I like to write things about Obama of what a lot of people don’t know about yet: his past, criminal history, his lies, etc. I like to research about Obama’s life and try to wake people up on a lot of things they don’t know about him. Hope I made my point, ya know? Obama has a controversial and dark past that a lot of you don’t know about. I just want to let people know who you voted for. Letting people know that you voted the wrong guy.

A president is capable of doing horrible things. They can be capable of evil and full of hatred. That’s all Obama. When will people wake up that this man is extremely dangerous and violent?

Don’t be surprised that Obama might have Vladimir Putin as his next murder victim. Does Obama have Putin on his next victim’s list?

President Obama is a very scary man. I’m scared of this man in office and you should be too. Of course, you’ll never admit it. Obama killed too many people. Not just during his presidency, he killed people even before his presidency. Obama being a killer is pretty verifiable information. A lot of people are just ignorant about it. Everybody’s talking about it. It’s nothing new and no secret.

Wake up, America. Stop being so blind and dumb.

Lupita Nyong’o from the Oscars last night…

1959680_721294857892978_322306258_n

This just came up in my facebook newsfeed. I thought it was pretty funny so I decided to share it here. Before anyone gets mad and calls me a racist… this photo is not racist. The joke is that Brad and Angie has been known to adopting kids from Africa and other countries.

Lupita is a pretty woman, don’t get me wrong but her chest was kind of uncomfortable to look at. She doesn’t have much of a cleavage to show off but I still give her credit for showing off her skin.

Last night’s Oscar awards brings up the debate of celebrity obsession in America…

The topic of “celebrity obsession” in America haven’t been that big on the internet until Ellen hosted the Oscar awards again last night. The whole internet world is all over this debate of celebrity obsession ’cause of last night. You look at facebook, political forums, blogs, entertainment sites, etc. You can see the internet world shitting on the world of fame and rich celebrities. I’ve been guilty of “celebrity obsession” myself ’cause that’s what this blog has been about over the years. Why do Americans hate on celebrities making a living for making movies? Is it out of jealousy that these celebrities are making more money than we do? Maybe that’s a small part of it.

However; though, you shouldn’t really blame these people getting rich off of making movies. Who is the real person to blame? That would be us. If you think about it a few minutes, we’re the ones keeping these celebrities out there doing what they do for a living. We’re the ones paying to go see their films by going to the theaters and buying/renting their films, that’s how they’re making their money. That’s how the movie industry stays alive ’cause we’re paying them. Sorry but that’s the truth. That’s how they get their box office numbers. We pay to go see movies, the money goes through the box office, and then the money goes to the industry to pay the film companies, crew, actors, etc. We’re the ones making these people rich and famous, ha ha! Sorry but that’s the truth. That is a small part of why we have sites like TMZ and perezhilton. I hate those gossip sites like the next person but those sites wouldn’t have came around if we weren’t helping people become rich and famous. If you don’t want celebs getting rich and famous, then we should stop paying for their work but nope, that will never happen.

I agree, though, that it’ss crazy and out of this world how these actors/actresses get paid millions just to make one film.

With that being said, Hollywood has always been this way since the 1930’s. America has always been obsessed with celebrities for decades. It’s nothing new.

Fame and fortune continues to get worse ’cause of media and gossip sites, though. Celebrity gossip is pretty big on the internet. Whenever a celeb couple gets married or if a famous actress gets pregnant… it’s all over the news. I can’t stand it myself but that’s how people make their money. If you notice on my blog, I try to stay away from celebrity gossip. I don’t concentrate on marriages, divorces and all that bullshit. My main focus is on their film projects and what they’re doing in the movies.

I hear everyone, though. It would be nice if this nation would get their minds off of celebrities and focus on what our fuckin’ President is doing to our nation. The US is about to go to war with Russia over this Ukraine stuff, we still have 4 dead Americans w/ no answers over Benghazi, and we have all kinds of crazy things going on in America. Obama is destroying our country and everybody wants to focus on celebrities. That’s kind of why I’ve been all over Obama on my blog more than the other topics ’cause I find what he is doing to our country is more important.

Back to the Oscars, I have a feeling that we’re gonna get Ellen as host again for next year since the ratings turned out decent and the popularity of that selfies pic. That’s why they had Ellen back ’cause of her popularity on twitter. I can’t stand Ellen Degeneres. It’s not because of her being lesbian is why I don’t like her — I just think she’s an annoying and stupid as hell woman. Never liked her at all.

All of us should be seeking answers for Benghazi… it doesn’t matter who’s left or right…

When it comes to the Benghazi attacks, it seems that the conservatives/republicans care about seeking answers for the attacks more than the left or other parties. When it comes to left-wingers, they don’t really care. They would usually call right-wingers crazy and insane over Benghazi, yet the left would think it’s okay to bring 9/11/01 into things. The left would say things like “the right wingers are beating Benghazi like a deadhorse”, “it happened years ago”, “how come Bush didn’t get in trouble for his crimes”, etc. Blah blah blah, etc. etc. etc. You get the deal, right?

I think the left should care about Benghazi. That’s what we want them to do. Try to get them to wake up and be on our side. It’s great that they want answers on 9/11/01 but saying that Benghazi happened years ago is incorrect. Benghazi didn’t happen that long ago. It’s pretty hypocritical for the left to say something like that when the WTC attacks happened years ago. They say that they’ll never forget what happened with WTC attacks in NYC and if they say that if terrorists hurt Americans, they hurt us? Well, it’s pretty much the same with Benghazi.

In my opinion, though, I think the left doesn’t really care about Benghazi ’cause they are afraid of the fact that the President maybe responsible for it. Some people refuse to believe that the President was behind it ’cause of lack of evidence. Well, sorry to say everyone but that’s the whole point of a “cover up”. The government doesn’t want you to find out that the President was behind it. There is no evidence ’cause the government is hiding it all… that’s called a “cover up”.

Benghazi shouldn’t be treated like a football team. It shouldn’t be a team vs. team battle ’cause that is disrespectful to America and the 4 victims of the attack. If we had more left-wingers seeking answers on Benghazi, then the truth of the attacks would have came out a long time ago. It’s pretty obvious that the left is trying to protect their hero president. None of ’em want to admit that the President was definitely involved. They just don’t wanna see him get into a lot of trouble like he is now.

I think good things will come out of Benghazi, though. I think the truth will come out soon. When do I predict the truth will come out? Chances are when this administration is no longer in office… the truth will come out then. Hopefully, we’ll get lucky enough and the truth will come out even sooner. The sooner, the better. All we have to do is testify more witnesses and survivors… that should take care of everything. There’s gotta be people out there that knows something.

I think it’ll be good for America once the President and Hillary will be exposed for Benghazi. You’ll finally see why a lot of us hated him so much after all these years. Maybe America will finally wake up once it’s proven that Obama was behind it. I mean, I don’t see how it could be that hard to figure out Obama was behind it. While Obama did cover his tracks pretty well except the only stupid mistake he made was flying off to Las Vegas right after the attack was over. If he didn’t want to be blamed for the attack then he shouldn’t have done that.

If Obama didn’t want to be blamed for the attack, he should have stayed low for a while but nope, he didn’t do that. He continued to work as president and continues to live his life like nothing happened.

But come on, guys, get real. Even if you think he wasn’t behind this attack, it was still wrong that he didn’t do anything to stop the attack from happening and that’s another reason he’s getting in trouble for it. He didn’t do anything for military help. It’s sad that NONE of you will even admit to that. That’s pretty much the main reason why so many Americans are upset over Benghazi ’cause the President didn’t do anything to save lives. He should be impeached for that.

I’ve been accused of being “one-sided”, well you need to stop being a hypocrite. Quit being such hypocrites and liars. Stop protecting this evil madman ’cause he is no king or hero. One day you will regret for thinking that he is innocent. 4 Americans died so that involves us in so many ways. We’re not gonna sit back and let this administration get away murder. Sorry but that’s the way it goes.

Last night’s Oscar awards was the worst show in history… wow!!!

Man, I wish I can get my 4 hours back that I wasted watching the horrendous Oscar award show last night. Last night’s show was really bad… all the way through.

Ellen Degeneres was a horrible host. She wasn’t funny as she tries to be. She was actually annoying as hell. The pizza delivery and the group selfie w/ celebs? That part when Ellen kept going on and on about her group selfie with those stars going viral on twitter… I’m like, “Wow, Ellen, shut the fuck up, no one cares.”. Even the celebs in the audience was looking bored. I did laugh at one part; however, when Ellen gave Harrison Ford a pizza slice… she forgot to give him a napkin so Harrison tapped her on the shoulder and asked her for one. Harrison is the shit!

I was disappointed in the Oscar winner choices too. Sandra Bullock didn’t win, Jennifer Lawrence didn’t win… wtf? Jonah Hill and Leo didn’t even win either. It was no surprise that “12 Years A Slave” was gonna get BEST PICTURE. I’m glad they gave Alfonso Cuaron the director for “Gravity” an award but they just did that ’cause “Gravity” wasn’t gonna get BEST PICTURE.

A lot of acceptance speeches were pretty bad too especially Matt McConaughey who had to bring “god” into helping him get up there. How was that an inspiring and moving speech? God didn’t help him get up there. I hate when people win awards at award shows they think god got them up there. Hard work and talent, got them up there. God didn’t do that for ya. It’s a load of crock. Why did McConaughey’s speech had to turn into the Joel Osteen show?

The musical performances weren’t that great either. Even U2 and Pink were pretty bad. Same with Bette Midler.

The camera and production crew seemed pretty amateurish and they cut off the applause during the “In Memoriam” segment. Usually during the “In Memoriam” segment there are people clapping during it. They did a little bit but it was cut off due to technical difficulties, I think?

The only positive I can give about the Oscars last night was that Bill Murray gave a shout-out to Harold Ramis as he was presenting an award. That wasn’t on the teleprompter… he just ad-libbed it in there. That was very cool! That was probably the best thing that happened last night but other than that… the whole show was garbage.

I don’t know if I’ll continue to watch the Oscars. The Oscars seem to be getting worse each year too. It’s no different than other award shows now.
