Report: Kiefer Sutherland confirmed to make his return to TV with a new show called, “Touch”…

Ever since Kiefer Sutherland’s “24” ended in 2010 last year, you’ve wondered where Kiefer have gone? Kiefer never stopped acting after “24” was finished. He starred in a few movies for the big screen. Well, Kiefer is set to make a return to TV with a new show called, “Touch”, which the show is created by Tim Kring, who also created, “Heroes”.

Entertainment Weekly, reports.

Look like Kiefer wants a break from the action hero genre, and to do something different. Honestly, Kiefer shouldn’t be doing this show and needs to get right to work on the, “24”, movie for the big screen instead. We’re all waiting for “24 – The Movie”, to happen. I want it to happen myself.

I’m just at the end of “Season 2” of “24” on Netflix.

Got my Ibanez acoustic all fixed!!!

Today, I just got my Ibanez acoustic back from Parkway Music. My Ibanez acoustic/electric works perfectly fine now. It’s like new again, the way it’s supposed to. I’ll be sure to take better care of this guitar so it won’t happen again. The repair cost was very cheap too. Glad I got my acoustic back to working. Now I’ll be able to plug in and rock out.

I still play my Ibanez Hollow Body electric. I just want to have both an acoustic/electric and the regular electric. I’m going to try to start writing some new songs now that I got my acoustic back. Feels good. Thanks Parkway, that’s a great guitar shop. The best guitar shop in the area for sure.

Since it was a rainy day today, I decided to start the game, “Deus Ex: Human Revolution”, and it’s a pretty sick game so far. It’s really hard and challenging though, but I’m getting the hang of it. When I complete, “Deus Ex”, I’ll give it a full review.

Cool Video: New “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” trailer hits, and it looks amazing!!!

I’m totally blown away by the new trailer! The American version of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” looks fantastic!!! I’m psyched to see this movie. Will this be the best movie of the year for 2011??? I’ll have to wait and see. So far the best film of the year is “Warrior”, but will “Dragon Tattoo” top it?

Will David Fincher and the cast move on to make the second movie, “The Girl Who Played With Fire” after this? It’s too early to tell. We’ll have to wait and see how ‘Dragon Tattoo” does in the box office, if they want to do a sequel. I’m sure they will move on to “Girl Who Played With Fire”, ’cause I just know that “Dragon Tattoo” is going to be the biggest hit of the year.

Can’t wait to see this movie. See the trailer, here. Hopefully this movie didn’t leave too much out of from the books which probably will.

Report: Arnold Schwarzenegger, finally writing a memoir titled, “Total Recall”, scheduled to be released in Oct. of 2012…

Simon & Schuster, announced Arnold Schwarzenegger, is currently writing a memoir about his life. He will mostly be talking about the break up with Maria Shriver, and of course, he will also talk about his childhood, bodybuilding career, film career, and political career. The book is titled, “Total Recall: My Unbelievable True Life Story”. The book is scheduled for an Oct. 2012 release date.

Entertainment Weekly, reports.

As most of you know, I’m a huge Arnold fan so I will definitely be getting this book when it comes out. This isn’t the first time Arnold written and published books. Years ago, he published a few books on bodybuilding, most notably, “Arnold’s Modern Bodybuilding Encyclopedia”, which is his most popular book.

The question you have to ask is, will Sylvester Stallone ever do a memoir? I would like Sly to write his memoir but I remember him saying on AICN during his Q&A sessions, he doesn’t want to do one. Never say never though, maybe he will do one someday. I think a Sly memoir will be interesting.

Troy Davis executed…was he really innocent???

So the big news now is that Troy Davis, was put to death by injection at 11:08 in Georgia, for the murder of a police officer back in 1989. The whole world agreed that Davis was innocent and everybody wanted him freed.

I don’t know much about the Davis case, but I gotta say this, you can’t immediately think he is innocent just because others say so. Do I think he’s innocent? I don’t know. I wasn’t there at the day the crime happened. I never witnessed it and neither did anyone else. It happened years ago. So how do we all know what happened?

He was found guilty and they wouldn’t free him for a reason. You can’t say he’s innocent just because Davis maintained his innocence. The guy could be evil and he could be trying to get away with murder.

Officer, Mark McPhail’s family are probably relieved that he’s gone now. It was right for his family, friends and fellow police officers who respected the man. Those who thought he was innocent disrespected McPhail and his supporters. McPhail was an innocent man who was shot to death, sacrificing himself to save other people’s lives.

I’m not saying he’s guilty, but the execution was the right thing to do. They had to do things by the books.

Yep, lets think all criminals are innocent and lets free them. The West Memphis Three guys should take note on this.

Report: Universal planning another “Scarface” movie but it won’t be a remake or sequel…

A lot of people are already calling this a new, “Scarface”, remake but if you carefully read the article, the film that Universal is planning is not intended to be a remake or a sequel.

It’s going to take common elements from the first two films. Tony Montana is still going to be used but details are being kept under wraps for now. This will be a standalone movie.

I’m a huge fan of the “Scarface” films, I love both of them. I’m looking forward to seeing what they’re going to do with it. Will it be violent and will it have profanity throughout the entire movie? Will the new Tony Montana actor top Al Pacino’s performance?

It’s going to be interesting to see who they are planning to cast for Tony.

Game Review: L.A. Noire

Today, I finally finished the game, “L.A. Noire” and it’s a pretty long game too. It’s the latest game the company, Rockstar made. The same makers who did the “Grand Theft Auto” series, and “Red Dead Redemption”.

The story is set in Los Angeles in 1947. You play an LAPD police officer named, Det. Cole Phelps (who is voiced by actor, Aaron Staton). You start off as a regular police officer with a black uniform at first, then you get promoted to Detective later. You must solve cases through the departments of: Traffic, Homicide, Vice, and Arson. You must look for all clues around a certain crime scene. While you’re looking for clues, music will play, and the music will stop letting you know all the clues are found. Then you must interview witnesses and catch suspects. After you catch the suspect, you must interview the suspect while he/she is in custody.

The only thing when you’re interviewing witnesses or suspect, you have to carefully choose whether he/she is telling the “Truth”, maybe in “Doubt’, “Lying”. You must carefully watch their facial expressions to see if you can tell if they’re telling “Truth, in “Doubt”, or “Lying”. If you pick “Lying”, you must go through the clues in your notebook to prove it. This is the hardest part of the whole game and I got plenty of answers wrong during the interviews. I got some right though.

There are action sequences for the game play. Yes, you get to chase cars, run after the bad guys on foot, and shoot enemies, but you don’t do much of that in the game. The game wants to see if you can solve crime yourself. It’s strictly a Detective and Mystery game.

As the word in the title says, “Noire”, the game is heavily inspired by actual, film noir. You have the choice to play this game in either color or black & white. I played it in color, but next time I play this again, I’ll play it in black & white so it can give it a realistic, film noir feeling. The musical score and the acting of the voice overs did a great job on making it feel like, film noir. The game can get nasty and graphic at times though. There is a lot of profanity as well.

When you’re playing this game, keep in mind this isn’t “Grand Theft Auto”. Yes, there is free roam, you can go where ever you please, but the problem is, you can’t do anything you want. You’re a police officer, so you must follow the laws. If you run over people with your car in the streets or try to steal cars, you get penalties.

There are references of famous actors that got a mention in the game, when there was a part where Cole had to look up names in a Hotel scene. Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Temple, Orsen Welles, Clark Gable, etc. I thought that was pretty cool.

I thought this was an incredible game. It’s the best game I’ve played in 2011 so far. Everything about the game was perfect. No complaints. I wish the video game industry would make more Detective games like this, we need more. I’m sure there will be a sequel to, “L.A. Noire”, ’cause the ending left open for one, I think. If you enjoy classic movies and film noir, yourself. Get this game.

I’m not much into classic film noir, but after playing this game, makes me want to start seeing some of those films.

New Facebook design thoughts…

Seems like facebook changes the site around like once a year, and they seem to be doing it around this time. Adding a few new features like putting the “Recent stories”, being at the top of the news feed. Plus, when other people “like”, “comment” and “friend” other people instead of that stuff being in the news feed, they put it in a box in the upper right hand corner. Plus, when the fan pages that you “like” when they make a new status, you can also see it in that new box. Which is better that way , in my opinion.

Of course, most people are mad at this design. People are whining, complaining, and bitching about it like usual when Facebook make new changes. Why do people complain? I’m not sure. Maybe it’s like, “haters are gonna hate”. They just complain for the attention of themselves, so they can feel part of their crowd with their friends. Another reason, people are not used to the new look. Well, they’re gonna have to get used to it.

I find this new design useful and helpful. I have no problem with it at all. If you don’t like it, then why are people still on facebook? It’s not hard to delete your account and stay off the site, if you don’t like how they do things.

Aren’t there better things to complain about in life? It’s only facebook. It’s called technology. They all look to improve, change and get better.

People in facebook are assholes today. They’ve been complaining about the new design. They make some of the harshest rants I’ve ever seen complaining about the site. Like I said if you don’t like the new Facebook design, get the fuck off the site. Mark Zuckerberg can’t please everybody.

BREAKING NEWS: After a 31 year long career, R.E.M. hangs up the mics…

In the year 1980, Michael Stipe formed the band, R.E.M. himself. The band released 15 albums in their career and they had a slew of mainstream radio hits. R.E.M. had hit songs such as: “It’s the End of the World As We Know It”, “Stand”, “Losing My Religion”, “Shiny Happy People”, “Everybody Hurts”, “Bang and Blame”, “What’s the Frequency Kenneth”, etc. You can still hear all of those songs on your FM radio stations to this day.

Their latest album, “Collapse Into Now”, which they just released earlier this year, peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. I’ve been a fan of R.E.M. for years. While this is pretty shocking and unexpected, I understand them of why they want to hang it up. Bands don’t stay together forever, that’s just the way it goes.

Read what the three guys have to say about their, break up, here.

Even though they’re calling it quits, I’m sure they’re still going to be releasing material. Not new studio albums, but I’m sure they’ll release some live albums and maybe unreleased stuff. They might even make a DVD about their long career.

No matter what you think of R.E.M., they are legends and they were very successful. Michael Stipe is a talented singer, and I’ve always admired Peter Buck as a guitarist. I’m pretty sure the three guys will move on to other musical projects. Maybe that’s why they want to end it, to explore other musical opportunities.

“The Playboy Club” premiere…brief review…

I just watched the DVR’ed episode of “The Playboy Club” premiere, here is my brief review.

Here’s the synopsis from episode 1:

“In Chicago, 1963, Maureen, a worker at a bar called “The Playboy Club”, is almost raped by mob boss Bruno Bianchi when she, along with a lawyer named Nick Dalton, accidentally kill him. They cover up the murder and hide the body in the river. While Bianchi’s son John and the rest of the mob start to uncover what happened, subplots include a worker named Brenda, who is seeking to be the first African-American Playboy playmate, Alice, who is secretly lesbian in a sham marriage with a gay man named Sean, and Carol-Lynne, who recently becomes the “Bunny Mother” of the club.”

As some of you know, this show created a lot of controversy over the past couple of weeks. Just out of curiosity, I just had to watch the first episode to see what this show is like. Did I like it? Yeah, it was actually pretty good. Back in those days, was the beginning of Playboy and this show want to show you how it all started.

While this show is mostly fiction there is a lot of real history in it. The PTC called the show, “pornographic material”. It is not, “pornographic material” if it doesn’t have naked women showing off their privates. This show doesn’t show any of that stuff. Yes, the women do show a lot of skin and cleavage, but that’s about it. I don’t see how that’s considered, “porn”.

Amber Heard, did a good job in this show. I enjoyed her performance. I remembered her from, “Zombieland”, and the “Friday Night Lights” movie. “The Playboy Club” is a soap opera and mob story. It is a show aimed for both men and women.

A lot of people accused this show of exploiting women. Well yeah. Women go on Playboy and other adult magazines, because it’s a free country. That’s the beauty of America folks. People make their own decisions and do what they want to do. If women wants to take their clothes off in front of a camera, so they can publish them for the world to see, that’s their choice. It bothers me that other people attack women for wanting to pose nude. In my opinion, there’s nothing wrong with it. As long as it’s legal, they have that choice to do it if they want to.

I’ll admit it, I do have an interest in, ‘porn”. I’m not addicted to porn, I don’t collect it, but I need my eye candy too, right? Hey, I’m a guy, that’s what they do, look at porn. If you say you’re not into porn and offended by it, you’re lying. Everyone is into it.

I like Playboy. I respect the legacy they created with the magazine and the Playboy empire, and all that. I don’t like how the magazine is today, but the earlier history of the magazine is really incredible stuff, and “The Playboy Club” TV show wants to school you in on their past.

I read that the ratings for this show was pretty low, and I think the reason was, that people didn’t like Playboy on an NBC family friendly station. “The Playboy Club”, should be on an adult friendly station like HBO or Showtime if they want to get more viewers. Other than that, it’s a good show. I kept thinking it was going to suck, but I actually watched through the whole hour. Thumbs up.
