Happy Birthday Arnold!

The Governator turned 64 today! Happy Birthday Arnold! I don’t care how crazy Arnold gets in the media and politics, I’ll always stay loyal to him ’cause I’m a huge fan. I’m just so glad he’s done with that politics shit and coming back to the movies where he truly belongs! Can’t wait for his return to the big screen!

Enjoy the video below!

Report: John Travolta, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Chuck Norris rumored castings for “The Expendables” sequel…

The filming for the next “Expendables’ movie will start filming this Sept. Yes, the original cast you see in the picture above is expected to reprise their roles (except for Steve Austin who was killed in the first one). Arnold and Bruce are expected to return but everyone is expecting Bruce and Arnold to have longer roles, not just cameos.

Of course, the film will add some more big name tough guys and there was a few more names brought up who are rumored to be part of the sequel. Those actors are: John Travolta, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Chuck Norris. These are just rumors so don’t believe them as of yet.

Van Damme is definitely a possibility, so I can see Van Damme in the film. John Travolta is a possibility too ’cause Sly and Travolta have been friends for years (they already worked together in “Staying Alive”, Sly directed that movie, John starred in it). I’m not so sure about Chuck Norris.

I hope the Chuck Norris rumor is true ’cause he hasn’t done any acting in years, I hope he makes a huge comeback. If Chuck is in the movie, I can see him being one of the villains, not the Expendables team. It would be great to see Chuck back in Hollywood, I enjoyed his action movies in the 80’s. Especially films like “Firewalker”, “The Octagon”, “Forced Vengeance”, “The Missing In Action” trilogy, etc. Loved all of his flicks in the 80’s.

Report: Comic legend, Jerry Lewis, publicly bashes “American Idol”…

Jerry Lewis, the legendary comic, is on a promotional tour to promote his upcoming documentary film, and he openly bashed the singing competition series, “American Idol” to critics. He says all the singers who compete for the show are McDonald’s wipeouts. He accused them of working for McDonald’s and now they work for reality TV. He also says the industry destroyed itself.

Read Jerry’s full thoughts, here.

Yes, finally someone’s making sense and telling the truth. The same goes for all the other singing competitions like “The Voice”, “X-Factor” or “America’s Got Talent”.

I know quite a few local singers in the Albany area that try to audition for these shows, but why? You don’t need to get on these shows for fame. I’ll admit that I used to watch “Idol” when it first started, but I stopped watching since the 3rd season got over with. I don’t watch it anymore. All these singing competition shows are garbage. You don’t need them to get further in your music career.

Just ask Sean Rowe and Phantogram who both got signed to bigger labels without “American Idol”.

Report: HBO says “Game of Thrones” will keep going until George R.R. Martin stops writing the books…

HBO were pretty quick on responding to rumors if “Game of Thrones” will get cancelled quickly. The team at HBO wants to let the fans know, that they won’t be cancelling the show anytime soon. They plan to keep going until George R.R. Martin stops writing the books, so they’re pretty loyal to him.

Read more on the story, here.

Good, because I’m going to keep watching the show until the very end. I don’t care how long the show lasts. I hope the show lasts for a long time and I hope George keeps writing the novels as well.

I’ve just finished “Storm of Swords” and now I’ve just started “Feast For Crows” (the fourth book) today. I’m so addicted to these stories.

Report: Marvel wins copyrights to some of their characters over legal battle against Jack Kirby…

Marvel just won a huge lawsuit battle against the heirs of Jack Kirby. Jack Kirby co-created some of the Marvel characters with Stan Lee such as Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Fantastic Four, and X-Men. The Jack Kirby estate sued Marvel when Disney bought the company in 2009, they wanted complete control of those characters I mentioned.

The reason Marvel won the battle is because the characters were a “work for hire” thing, which is not entitled for copyright law to revoke the rights.

Congrats Marvel! If they were successful on scoring the copyrights from their characters, then Warner Bros. could have a chance in winning the full copyrights to “Superman” against the Siegel heirs. I’m pretty sure Warner Bros. will win their battle too. It would be sad if the Siegel’s won and they get full control of Superman, then Warner Bros. will no longer make more “Superman” movies after Zack Snyder is done with his. I wish Warner Bros. good luck.

The Top 10 Best Supergroups of rock music

In celebration of the new Chickenfoot album coming out soon, I thought it would be fun to make a top 10 Best supergroups of rock n’ roll music.

Here are my choices in the list below along with videos:

1. The Traveling Wilbury’s (Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and George Harrison…4 huge superstars in a cool rock n’ roll band that I always admired, loved their music!)

2. CSNY (This band includes members from Buffalo Springfield, The Hollies, and the Byrds. If you don’t think this is a supergroup, then what are they?)

3. Cream (Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, and Ginger Baker, hell yeah)

4. Derek & the Dominos (Another Eric Clapton supergroup that I always loved. Duane Allman at his best!)

5. Bad Company (This band has members from Free, Mott the Hopple, and King Crimson. I’ve always loved Bad Company and always loved their hit in the video below, great song…)

6. Temple of the Dog (Some of the guys in Soundgarden and Pearl Jam both joined forces to do an album in tribute for Andrew Wood, the singer of Mother Love Bone. This was an incredible and mind blowing album…)

7. Them Crooked Vultures (Dave Grohl teams up with John Paul Jones, to make this excellent album released in 2009. I wish they would get together and make another album, dammit…!!!)

8. Chickenfoot (Sammy’s best project in a long while, I really loved the first Chickenfoot album and looking forward to the second album…)

9. Oysterhead (Band includes Phish’s, Trey Anastasio, Primus’s, Les Claypool and the Police’s, Stewart Copeland. I thought this band was fantastic. “The Grand Pecking Order” was such a fine album and so unique, I wish they would get together to make another record too…)

10. Emerson, Lake & Palmer (I’ve always loved this album. Used to listen to it on vinyl all the time…)

Enjoy!

Edit to add: I took the videos off ’cause it was making this site too slow with too many videos.

Report: Joe Pesci sues the Gotti’s claiming he got screwed over role…

Joe Pesci is suing the film makers of “Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father” accusing them of yanking the role Anglo Ruggiero, after gaining 30 lbs for the role like he was asked. Instead they asked him to play a smaller role of Anthony “Gaspipe” Casso with a smaller pay of $1 Million. The film also stars John Travolta and Al Pacino.

Well I’m siding with Joe. If you’re dealing with the Gotti’s who were all former mob men, you can’t trust any of them. I’m surprised Travolta and Pacino are both still on the project.

Cool Video: The Ultimate Warrior takes a blast from the past…

The Ultimate Warrior took to his youtube to make fun of Hulk Hogan’s twitter by going back in character he had 30 years ago. Here’s Warrior back to his wrestling gimmick, except he’s using his action figure and talking like the Warrior back in the WWF days. Warrior still has it. Despite his age, he can still play the character very well. While I prefer Warrior himself in character (with him wearing face makeup, costume and all), not an action figure, this is still an entertaining video. Enjoy the laughs!

More on real people like us pretending to be famous people…

I’ve said it before and will say it again. There are too many real people like us pretending to be famous people or “legends” online. It’s not just one certain person that I speak of. There are unsigned musicians & bands that think they are celebrities as well. Why do people feel the need to act like a celebrity? I can think of a few reasons what motivates people thinking they are stars.

1) Gossip sites like TMZ and other news magazines.

2) People who get famous over the internet like Justin Bieber, Tay Zonday (The Chocolate Rain guy), and Susan Boyle. People like us thinks we’re going to get fame on the internet.

3) People obsess over social media sites like twitter and facebook.

4) People simply have delusions of grandeur and have giant egos inside of their heads.

Most of you would know that I never acted this way. I never acted like I was bigger and better than everyone else. I never called people “fans” and I always replied to people who would write me.  I also never called myself a “star” or an “icon”. A lot of people want to think what they do is good. They all think they have talent and they think they are important.

Seems like everyone wants fame, thanks to the media which everyone seems to be obsessing with. I don’t come on the internet acting like I’m famous. I come on here to be myself as a person. Period.

Report: “Tales from the Crypt” making it’s return to the small screen…

It’s been fifteen years since “Tales from the Crypt” have been off our TV screen, but don’t worry, kiddies, sit back and relax, because the Crypt Keeper is about ready to make his return to the small screen. Gil Adler and Andrew Cosby have teamed up to move the project forward. They said that this show has nothing to do with the original HBO series. The new show will have stories based from the comics and it will have a modern feeling. It is not yet known what channel the series will hit the small screen but Cinemax is interested in it. The article also doesn’t say if the Crypt Keeper will make his return but I’m sure he will return.

Deadline reports.

I was a huge fan of the original show. Used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. It’s one of those shows that I will stay up late to watch. I hope HBO will get it back.
