One thing I’m always trying to get better at in guitar playing is improvising, having a good ear and trying to get good at lead guitar soloing. I learned the secret to getting good at lead guitar and making your lead guitar parts sound good with your rhythm playing, you must choose the right scale that is in the similar shapes of the chords you’re playing. The usual minor pentatonic scale can’t be played over everything. I just discovered that secret by doing a lot of reading.

The secret to having a good ear and mastering improvisation is singing along to the notes on the guitar, memorizing the sound of the note in your head. It takes a long time to do, but I’m getting the hang of it. These days, I’m more worried about becoming a better guitar player than a songwriter.

Yep, I’m trying to get better and doing my best. It feels great studying and practicing guitar again.

Well this weekend, I watched the “Expanded Version” of “Superman: The Movie” on Disc 2 first. I never saw the expanded version before and it was pretty interesting. There were several scenes that were replaced in the new version and made it a different film. I did noticed the difference between the “Expanded” version and the “Original” version.

I would say that the picture and sound is just absolutely mind blowing as I expected it would be. Definitely a huge difference than DVD. On Blu Ray the picture is sharper, clearer, and you can see more. If you have surround sound like I do, it can get really loud. Louder than your local movie theater.

I plan on watching the rest of it all week. There’s so much shit to watch on these Superman discs, 8 discs in all with hours and hours of footage. I watched all the documentaries on the 2nd disc which is mostly behind the scene stuff, screen tests, and deleted scenes.

I’m done watching the “Superman” set for now, only watched one disc this weekend. I’ll watch another disc on Tuesday. So far so good. I’m loving it.

Tonight, I plan on watching a different TV show on Netflix, because I’ve completed “LOST” last week. I’m all done watching “LOST” and will review “Season 6” soon. What TV show will I watch next on Netflix, now that I’m done with “Lost”?

I’m probably gonna go with “24”. I used to watch “24” on TV a lot when it used to be on but not the whole show. I want to see the rest of it. Love Kiefer Sutherland’s “24”.

Haven’t really posted most of the day, because entertainment news was slow, so I decided to spend the day doing better things. I did my cardio workout, jogging for 30 minutes outside. Then I played a little bit of Duke Nukem, watched a few episodes of “Lost – Season 6” and catch up with some reading on “Storm of Swords”. Of course, I played a little bit of guitar as well.

These are the kinds of things I do. I like to entertain myself and be inspired with different forms of entertainment.

This is another reason I got into fitness & bodybuilding is just so I can prove that I’m not a lazy person and can be active. I wanted to find something new I can  do that is more important than music, movies, video games & TV. A lot of people are into playing sports, fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities. I’m not really into that stuff and found that fitness was meant for me to do.

I never cared to get a career in bodybuilding, I wanted to get in shape for myself. My passion for fitness has never stopped and this is my third year I think? People don’t have to like my physique, and if all kinds of women, don’t come after me, that’s fine with me. I just want to feel good, be happy and enjoy fitness for myself. Fitness is my passion and I will never give it up no matter what happens.

Back to the topic of movies, I ordered, “The Superman Motion Picture Anthology” Blu Ray set through amazon this week and it should be delivered at my house this weekend. If not this weekend, then sometime next week. Can’t wait to get “The Superman” Blu Ray set, I’m excited for it..
